In this paper, a simple and selective molecularly imprinted polymer film-based electrochemical sensor is made by electropolymerizing glycine in the presence of Sunset yellow (SY) as a template. The thin film electro-polymerization was characterized by cyclic voltammetry and square wave voltammetry. The optimization of important parameters, the removal of Sunset yellow from the developed electrode, analytical performance, and the analysis of a real sample are described. The results showed that the developed sensor is highly selective in the presence of interferents such as sodium chloride, glucose, benzoic acid, lemon yellow and tartrazine up to a 200-fold higher concentration. Under optimized conditions, the linear dynamic range was found to range from 2 to 100 µM, with LOD and LOQ values of 0.753 µM and 2.48 µM respectively. When the proposed sensor was used for the evaluation of a real sample (tomato sauce), a similar result was observed in comparison to high performance liquid chromatography evaluation, indicating the good reliability of our modified sensor. This study aims to explore persistent microorganic pollutants (Poly chloro byphneyls (PCBs) and Organochlorine Pesticides (OCPs)) in sediment and mud clams (Polymesoda erosa) in Segara Anakan Lagoon (SAL). In addition, polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) in the mud clams were evaluated their risk consumption and Bioaccumulation factor in sediment. Concentrations of seven PCBs in the sediment were found in the range 0.11 ± 0.05 to 2.63 ± 0.1 μg kg−1 sed dw. OCPs levels were found in the range of 0.2 ± 0.05 and 2.9 ± 0.01 μg kg−1 sed dw. In P. erosa, 16 Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons (PAHs) (USEPA) were found in the range from 103.34 ± 2.01 to 1348.31 ± 18.21 μg kg−1 tissue dry weight (dw), PCBs content was found only in one station at concentration 2.34 ± 1.72 μg kg−1 tissue dw and OCPs content was found in the range 0.87 ± 0.03 to 24.79 ± 1.30 μg kg−1 tissue dw. The disturbance matrices have been evaluated with the appropriate samples according to the extraction yield and yield analysis. Several guidelines evaluate the quality of sediment on PCBs and OCPs (i.e. pp-DDE). The consumption evaluation shows that this mud clam P. erosa has been contaminated of PAHs and not recommended for human consumption. They were potentially as site-specific bioaccumulation in sediment for organic micropollutants which receives from any untreated sewage, industrial waste discharge into the canal system of river of Segara Anakan Lagoon. Alkylating compounds (melfalan, chlorambucyl, lomustine, and semustine) are chemical compounds commonly used for the treatment of chemotherapy and used as anti-cancer drugs. This is due to its reactivity in stopping the growth of cancer cells by directly reacting to the nucleophile centers of the DNA base. The alkylating compound attacks the target non-selectively, therefore it can attack healthy cells so that it can cause secondary cancer. Because of the hazardous nature of the alkylating compounds which can form secondary cancers, an analytical method for the anti-cancer drug semustine that has been circulating on the market by cyclic voltammetry has been developed. The objectives of this study are (1) to obtain the working stress area for the semustine compound in a water solvent, (2) to determine the effect of using variations of supporting electrolytes and working electrodes on the semustine voltammogram profile. Before the analysis of semustine is made, Ag/AgCl comparison electrodes are made by electrolysis, then the results are characterized using K3Fe(CN)6 in various supporting electrolytes including KCl, KNO3, and K2SO4. Subsequent research studied the effect of using variations of supporting electrolytes and working electrodes to measure the peak current of the anode and the cathode semustin and the voltammogram profile. The results provide information that KCl was used Pt as a working electrode, gives the highest peak current to the measurements of K3Fe(CN)6 were compared to K2SO4 and KNO3 on 9.091 mg/L semustine.
