The study's objectives are to i) develop a test kit to determine the ability of multiple intelligences (MI) to play basketball in high school and ii) measure a student's MI test ability in playing basketball. The method used is the development of instruments with analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation (ADDIE). The study subjects comprised five schools in five districts in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. With a total sample of 1029 students. The results showed i) that test kits developed to assess students' MI abilities meet valid and reliable requirements. It can be seen from the validity of the contents of V-Aiken (0.96) and the validity of the construct, namely the loading factor > 0.3. With the analysis of the item classically, it detects that the level of difficulty and differentiability of the problem is good and according to the criteria; ii) the results of MI capability measurements show 55% of capabilities with the "high" category, 35% with the "medium" category, and 10% with the "low" category.

The rise and growing prevalence of juvenile delinquency is a matter of concern for many parties. This study aims to establish a research instrument in the form of a questionnaire that can be deployed to assess the learning environment perceived by high school students. This research endeavor constitutes a developmental study, wherein the outcomes are a single survey instrument encompassing six variables, nineteen indicators, and forty questions. The data-collecting process involved the utilization of a Google Form across five schools in five districts, containing a total of 1615 participants. The analysis of expert data was conducted utilizing V. Aiken and field trials employing confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) Second Order. The findings of this study indicate that the diagnostic survey instrument used to assess the learning environment's impact on the mental health of high school students demonstrated validity, as evidenced by loading factor values exceeding the established minimal threshold. The reliability of the instrument remains insufficient. This survey can be utilized to detect adolescent persistent tendencies carried out by students or other school members that interfere with mental health: the emergence and significant raising of juvenile delinquency.

The invasion of nipah (Nypa fructicans) occurred in the Air Telang Protected Forest (ATPF), Indonesia, as a result of mangrove forest degradation caused by anthropogenic activities in the area. This research aims to analyze the distribution of nipah populations in the ATPF and at the same time describe the benefits and potential of nipah both in the ATPF and in various regions in the world. The data collected in this research consists of two types, namely primary data and secondary data. Primary data was obtained through field surveys in the ATPF area, while secondary data was obtained through literature studies of relevant research results. Nipah populations can be widely distributed in degraded mangrove forest ecosystems and invade areas outside their natural habitat because they have high adaptability to the environment, high seed productivity and effective and adaptive seed distribution. Even though the spread of nipah in the ecosystem can hinder the succession of mangrove forests, it turns out that nipah has great benefits for the community and contains important compounds that are useful for making foods, drinks and medicine..

The aim of this research is to investigate the influence of flipbook learning media, learning interest, and learning motivation on junior high school students' learning outcomes. The method used is the regression method with a quantitative approach. This research was conducted at Junior High School 1 Yogyakarta with a sample of 64 class VIII social studies students. Data collection consists of interviews, observations, and documentation. Prerequisite test analysis consists of tests for normality, multicollinearity, and heteroscedasticity. Hypothesis testing using simple regression, and multiple regression. The research results show that there is an influence: i) flipbook learning media on learning outcomes with a tcount of 73.33, a significance value of 0.000 < 0.005, ii) interest in learning on learning outcomes with a tcount of 33.678, a significance value of 0.000 < 0.005, iii) learning motivation on learning outcomes with a tcount of 30.678, a significance value of 0.000 < 0.005, and iv) flipbook learning media, learning interest, and learning motivation together on learning outcomes with Fcount 47.879 > Ftable 2.77 with a significance of 0.000 < 0.005. The conclusion is that the use of flipbook learning media, increasing interest in learning, and strengthening learning motivation can support each other to achieve optimal learning outcomes for students.

This study explores the correlation between technology utilization and language acquisition while analyzing the impact of moderating variables on this relation. Our meta-analysis approach analyzes data from 43 extracts out of 19 primary studies published between 2012 and 2021. Our data analysis employs a random-effect model utilizing a significance level of [Alpha] = 0.05. Additionally, the authors examine four moderating variables: level of education, location of research, proficiency in language, and year of publication. Technology-based language acquisition outperforms traditional methods, indicating a significant and moderate impact on the learning process. This study enhances comprehension of the efficacy of technology in language acquisition by identifying various factors, such as the geographical location of research, methods of assessing language proficiency, and technology type employed. However, there is insufficient evidence to support the notion that educational level or sample size significantly impact technology-based language acquisition. This meta-analysis highlights the importance of considering nuanced factors when integrating technology into language learning. The findings emphasize the possibility of technology to transform methods of acquiring language and urge additional investigation into customized strategies that optimize its advantages.

Effective communication is necessary for the success of construction project performance. Due to its nature, effective communication is required to coordinate all parties involved in construction projects such as owners, project managers, engineers, subcontractors, etc. Few previous studies have addressed the issues of construction project communication, particularly in the communication planning stage. This paper aimed to investigate how far the communication planning has been effectively implemented in several construction projects in Jakarta and measure how big the influence to project performance. It adopts a quantitative method by distributing questionnaire surveys to contractors and consultants in Jakarta. Descriptive statistics were used to analyse the data which presents that communication planning has been implemented by 78.02 % of the responses and significantly impact the project performances. This paper offers useful implications for practitioners on how construction project teams (from contractors and consultants) should carefully manage the communication process particularly during its planning stage.

Team-assisted individualization (TAI) learning accommodates the primary school students' learning activities through the cooperative and individual learning models. The study aims at investigating students' TAI cooperative and conventional learning models among third-graders' thematic subjects two public primary schools in Klaten district, Indonesia. A quasi-experimental research design was applied by involving 20 experiment and 18 control groups respectively. Data collection used the multiple-choice tests of thematic subjects to measure the third-graders' TAI cooperative and conventional learning in arts, culture, and life skills and Indonesian subjects. Data analysis used a non-parametric statistic to prove the mean difference test in two or more groups, descriptive test, T-tests, Mann Whitney-U test, and N-gain test. The results showed an increase in the experiment group higher than in the control group. However, there was no significant difference between the experiment and control groups after examining the multiple-choice tests. The results supported the thematic subjects of the characteristics of living things in arts, culture, and life skills, and Indonesian teaching since proving the third-graders' learning improvement naturally and objectively. This study concludes that TAI's cooperative and conventional learning models accommodate the learning activities although its implication does not contribute significantly.

Social distancing policies during the COVID-19 period have opened a space for interventions in the use of digital technology that was previously rejected by the public. Currently, most of the community activities have been carried out online, including those related to education, such as hosting virtual exhibitions with an educational purpose. Virtual exhibitions (VE) are online exhibitions that display information on specific topics. However, to the best of our knowledge, research on VE in the educational context is still lacking. This study aims to identify the variables that affect users' intentions to attend the virtual exhibition frequently. The channel expansion theory, flow theory, technology acceptance model, and expectation confirmation theory serve as the foundation for the research model that is constructed. The model was tested using data from 321 respondents who had visited VE, then analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with the aid of the SmartPLS application version 3.3.3. The findings show that 11 factors significantly influence the intention to continue using VE, while the other 2 factors have no significant influence. Thus, perceived usefulness has a significant effect on satisfaction and continued use intention to use VE, but not on perceived enjoyment. Furthermore, the perceived ease of use of VE has a significant impact on perceived usefulness and perceived enjoyment. However, media richness does not significantly affect perceived enjoyment. It's just that media richness influences perceived ease of use significantly. Confirmation also has a significant impact on perceived enjoyment, perceived usefulness, and satisfaction. Perceived enjoyment has a significant effect on satisfaction and continued use intention, and satisfaction has a significant effect on continued use intention to use VE. The findings are useful for VE providers and developers in developing a transformation strategy to increase the intention to use VE in every educational exhibition. Research shows that videoconferencing tools can be used for delivering high-quality instruction in real-time to a large number of students simultaneously during and even in the aftermath of the pandemic. However, there is a lack of data on how favourable it is among students, particularly in the Philippine setting, in the field of Physical Education (PE). In this regard, this study aimed at inspecting exogenous factors linked to students' acceptance of a video-conferencing platform in learning knowledge- and skill-based concepts in Physical Education through the adaptation of the Technology Acceptance Model. After performing the Partial Least Square-Structural Equation Modelling from a purposively selected sample of 250 teacher education students, the results showed that perceived ease of use (PEOU) positively affected perceived usefulness (PU). It was also found that PEOU and PU impacted behavioural intention. Lastly, behavioural intention (BI) positively leverages actual use of the Zoom platform. It can be inferred that students can benefit greatly from using the video-conferencing platform to learn various PE concepts. Moreover, another surprising discovery was that students could use the platform to efficiently learn, thus capitalising on the university's educational system, even in the New Normal.

Technological developments in various fields are the key to progress in the digital era. The utilization of technology-based learning media in education makes learning more interactive and supports independent learning. This study aims to develop and test the practicality and effectiveness of storyline-based nervous system e-comics media to support students' independent learning. This research uses the Research and Development (RnD) method with the Lee & Owen model, consisting of the analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation stages. The research was conducted with the subjects in this study, class XI MIPA SMA Negeri 2 Malang students, totalling 60 people. A pre-experimental design of one group pretest-posttest was used to test the effectiveness of the media. Data were collected through questionnaires and tests. The media validation results obtained 100%, material validation 100%, and student response results 98.7% in the class trial. The effectiveness test used a Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. The results showed a significant difference between the posttest of both classes with Sig. (2-tailed) 0.00 <0.05, there is a significant difference between the control and experimental classes. Storylinebased nerve e-comic media can facilitate independent learning more interestingly and interactively.

Following the tenets of positive psychology, many researchers have explored the realm of teachers' emotions in the past decades. However, the number of studies observing teachers' psycho-emotional factors from a cross-cultural lens has been negligible. To fill this gap, This study examined the association among apprehension, resilience, organizational mattering, and psychological well-being of 411 Indonesian and 285 Iranian English language teachers. The structural equation modeling (SEM) analyses of the data obtained from four questionnaires indicated that while the language teachers' apprehension was weakly correlated with the other factors, the other variables were strongly correlated. Furthermore, the results showed that resilience and organizational mattering were strong predictors of teachers' overall well-being. The cross-cultural comparison of the results revealed that the Indonesian teachers enjoyed more resilience and seemed to cope better with challenging and apprehensive situations. Identifying and regulating negative emotions, like apprehension, can potentially pave the way for policymakers and teacher educators to empower teachers to survive and thrive in the stressful conditions of their profession.

The purpose of this research is to describe the challenges and factors causing difficulties of deaf students in mastering writing skills at inclusive universities in Indonesia. This research is focused in Central Java province because of the more universities are considered as inclusive universities. This research was conducted in September-December 2022. The subjects in this research were selected using the purposive sampling method. Based on these limits, 35 Deaf students from six inclusive universities were obtained as respondents. The data collection techniques used questionnaires, observations, interviews, and concentrated discussions. Furthermore, the data analysis steps undertaken consisted of: (a) data analysis, (b) data revision, and (c) data verification. The results of this research concluded that the challenges experienced by students were broadly related to: (a) difficulty in mastering vocabulary, (b) understanding punctuation, and (c) difficulty if mastering complex sentences. As for more specifically related to academic text writing skills, the obstacles experienced by students including: (a) composing effective sentences, (b) developing paragraphs, (c) paraphrasing techniques, (d) writing academic texts in accordance with linguistic rules, and (e) writing bibliography. Furthermore, factors causing the occurrence of the obstacles in the mastery of academic text writing skills including: (a) unaccessible learning resources, (b) less effectively interwoven communication during lectures, and (c) different sentence structure in Sign Language with Indonesian sentence structure.

Acute myeloid leukemia (AML) M4, M5, and M7 are subtypes of leukemia derived from myeloid cell derivatives that influences the results of the identification of AMLs, which includes myeloblast, monoblast, and megakaryoblast. Furthermore, they are divided into more specific types, including myeloblasts, promyelocytes, monoblasts, promonocytes, monocytes, and megakaryoblasts, which must be clearly identified in order to further calculate the ratio value in the blood. Therefore, this research aims to classify these cell types using the K-nearest neighbor (KNN) algorithm. Three distance metrics are tested, namely, Euclidean, Chebychev, and Minkowski, and both the weighted and unweighted were tested. The features used as parameters are area, nucleus ratio, circularity, perimeter, mean, and standard deviation, and about 1,450 objects are used as training and testing data. In addition, to ensure that the classification is not overfitting, K-fold cross validation was conducted. The results show that the unweighted Minkowski distance acquired about 240 of 290 objects at K = 19, which is the best. Therefore, the unweighted Minkowski distance is selected for further analysis. The accuracy, recall, and precision values of KNN with unweighted Minkowski distance obtained from fivefold cross validation are 80.552, 44.145, and 42.592%, respectively.

Berkeley Lab’s “Utility-Scale Solar, 2024 Edition” presents analysis of empirical plant-level data from the U.S. fleet of ground-mounted photovoltaic (PV), PV+battery, and concentrating solar-thermal power (CSP) plants with capacities exceeding 5 MWAC (PV plants of 5 MWAC or less, including residential rooftop systems, are covered separately in Berkeley Lab’s companion annual report, Tracking the Sun).Key findings from this year’s report include:-18.5 GWAC of new utility-scale PV capacity came online in 2023, bringing cumulative installed capacity to more than 80.2 GWAC across 47 states.Installed costs continued to fall in 2023. Relative to 2022, capacity-weighted averages decreased by 8% to -$1.43/WAC (or $1.08/WDC). Costs, based on a 7.1 GWAC sample of 76 plants completed in 2023, have fallen by 75% (averaging 10% annually) since 2010.Plant-level capacity factors vary widely, from 6% to 36% (on an AC basis), with a sample median of 24%.-Levelized cost of energy (LCOE) of new 2023 projects increased slightly to $46/MWh prior to the application of tax credits but continued to fall to $31/MWh when accounting for federal incentives.PPA prices have largely followed the decline in solar’s LCOE over time, but newly signed longer-term PPA prices have increased since 2021, to an average of $35/MWh (levelized, in 2023 dollars). -Solar’s average energy and capacity value (i.e., ability to offset costs of other power generation sources) across the U.S. was $45/MWh in 2023. The common phenomena during liquefaction are the lateral displacement and settlement of saturated soil deposits. These phenomena have the potential damage to the toll road construction where this research is taking place. Toll road projects in Mungkid and Candimulyo Districts, Central Java, Indonesia must be evaluated for lateral displacement and settlement. The study area is located in volcanic deposits originating from Mount Merapi and Merbabu, with shallow groundwater level in some location, and a history big seismicity. PGA value at the research location was calculated using webpage application from Lini Binamarga. This study aims to calculate liquefaction severity using LSI method, lateral spreading using LDI method, and the ground settlement using reconsolidation settlement method with various moment magnitude scenarios. LSI in Candimulyo and Mungkid District are 17.77 (low severity) and 9.68 (very low severity), respectively. Candimulyo and Mungkid Districts experienced the greatest lateral spreading of 3.84 m and 1.87 m. Also, Candimulyo and Mungkid Districts have the largest settlement by 0.42 m in the extensive damage category and 0.15 m in the medium damage category. Based on this assessment, it is necessary to investigate the mitigation required to reduce lateral spreading and settlement caused by liquefaction.

A seismic event of magnitude 7.5 Mw took place in Central Sulawesi in September 2018, marking a significant occurrence in the geological hazard chronicles of Indonesia. The occurrence of liquefaction subsequent to the earthquake significantly damaged the water resource infrastructure in the Sigi Regency. This study aims to evaluate the possible soil displacement resulting from re-liquefaction events occurring in the main irrigation canals in the Jono Oge and Lolu regions. The study used semi-empirical and finite element analysis to compute the lateral displacement index and reconsolidation settlement within the designated study region. The examination of soil displacement is conducted under various groundwater level scenarios, utilizing the most recent soil investigation conducted in 2021. The findings of the study indicate that raising the groundwater level to -3.5 meters will result in significant soil and irrigation canal damage. In the future, it is suggested that limiting the groundwater level below -11 meters in the primary irrigation canal area might effectively mitigate soil lateral displacement and settlement.

In Indonesia's liquefaction history, the province of Central Sulawesi was severely affected in several locations when a 7.5 Mw earthquake occurred in September 2018. This study aims to evaluate the liquefaction potential and generate the liquefaction hazard map in the reconstruction project of the Gumbasa Irrigation Canals passed through Jono Oge Village and Lolu Village, closely related to the liquefaction event in the Sigi Regency area. Using the simplified procedure method by Idriss and Boulanger, the Liquefaction Factor of Safety (FOS) was calculated for each layer of soil from thirteen (13) locations of soil investigation test at the end of 2021 by the Ministry of Public Works and Housing. Furthermore, it was followed by calculating the Liquefaction Potential Index (LPI) and Liquefaction Severity Index (LSI). The analysis results show that the construction work area has the liquefaction potential with the observed groundwater level. It is mapped on irrigation canals along the Jono Oge Village and Lolu Village to know the critical segment of the irrigation project. Hereafter, an irrigation canal segment named BGKN-45 to BGKN-46 in Jono Oge required a specific mitigation plan to prevent damage from liquefaction in the future.

The results showed the effect of marketing mix and service quality on satisfaction was positive and significant, marketing mix and service quality on member loyalty was positive and insignificant, satisfaction with member loyalty was positive and significant, satisfaction did not mediate in the marketing mix on member loyalty, and member satisfaction mediates the quality of service to member loyalty. Neuropilin-1 acts as a coreceptor with vascular endothelial growth factor receptors to facilitate binding of its ligand, vascular endothelial growth factor. Neuropilin-1 also binds to heparan sulfate, but the functional significance of this interaction has not been established. A combinatorial library screening using heparin oligosaccharides followed by molecular dynamics simulations of a heparin tetradecasaccharide suggested a highly conserved binding site composed of amino acid residues extending across the b1 and b2 domains of murine neuropilin-1. Mutagenesis studies established the importance of arginine513 and lysine514 for binding of heparin to a recombinant form of Nrp1 composed of the a1, a2, b1, and b2 domains. Recombinant Nrp1 protein bearing R513A,K514A mutations showed a significant loss of heparin-binding, heparin-induced dimerization, and heparin-dependent thermal stabilization. Isothermal calorimetry experiments suggested a 1:2 complex of heparin tetradecasaccharide:Nrp1. To study the impact of altered heparin binding in vivo, a mutant allele of Nrp1 bearing the R513A,K514A mutations was created in mice (Nrp1D) and crossbred to Nrp1+/- mice to examine the impact of altered heparan sulfate binding. Analysis of tumor formation showed variable effects on tumor growth in Nrp1D/D mice, resulting in a frank reduction in tumor growth in Nrp1D/- mice. Expression of mutant Nrp1D protein was normal in tissues, suggesting that the reduction in tumor growth was due to the altered binding of heparin/heparan sulfate to neuropilin-1. These findings suggest that the interaction of neuropilin-1 with heparan sulfate modulates its stability and its role in tumor formation and growth.

Online learning is rapidly expanding across the educational landscape, particularly at the tertiary level of education. When combined with appropriate pedagogy, the tremendous advancement of technology has transformed the face of education. This integration has created new possibilities for enhancing teaching quality. Augmented Reality (AR) is one of the recent technologies to help make learning interactive and engaging. The broad adoption of AR on mobile devices is related to the enormous use of mobile devices globally. Thus, this paper reviews several works of literature on mobile AR and demonstrates its educational potential. After identifying the empirical studies of AR, this review highlights its potential in terms of learner outcomes, interaction, motivation, visualization, and collaboration, and its challenges, particularly in the English as a foreign language (EFL) context. Further research also needs to investigate diverse mobile AR apps for more engaging virtual online courses.

The aim of this study was to analyze the entrepreneurial self-efficcy (ESE) of teacher training students at ULM. This study uses an exploratory sequential mixed-methods approach (ESMMA) to an understanding of the entrepreneurial self-efficacy of economics education students of Universitas LambungMangkurat (ULM), Indonesia to find ways to become successful entrepreneurs. ESMMA analysis uses two research phases, namely the first stage is qualitative analysis with techniques namely data collection, display and conclusion). In the second phase, quantitative analysis was carried out using techniques namely quantitative data collection and data analysis. Data were obtained through developing entrepreneurial self-efficacy research questions: How can entrepreneurs manage stress during work?; Do entrepreneurs have original ideas in developing products?; Does the entrepreneur have a good relationship with anyone?; How do entrepreneurs analyse market opportunities, recruit employees, and be innovative to achieve success?. The results show that students have different personalities so that each decision for entrepreneurship is made in different ways. The analysis found that students need to develop risk management and uncertainty management skills, innovation management and product development skills, and interpersonal and network management to succeed in business competition.

Local history has its point in providing information to local communities for the exemplary process. However, there are not many studies of local history to be implemented in history learning. Thus, the purpose of this study was to find the values of character education in the material for the struggle of K.H. Ahmad Hanafiah in defending Indonesian independence in the Lampung Residency and its implementation in learning local history. The method used is a qualitative research method with historical studies. This study uses primary and secondary sources and uses interviews as reinforcement. The results of the study are: (1) K.H. Ahmad Hanafiah as a local figure who fought to defend Indonesia's independence in Lampung Residency, (2) The values of character education contained in the material include: religious attitude, hard work, curiosity, love for the homeland, national spirit, and independence, (3) These character values can be implemented in local history learning through the Class XI lesson plans covering the stages of planning, implementation, and evaluation in high school. It is hoped that students can imitate the figure of a K.H. Ahmad Hanafiah, especially for those who live in the Lampung area, and apply it in their lives both now and in the future. History learning has a central role in instilling the values of national character because the scope of the material taught contains heroic, exemplary, patriotism, and nationalism values. Entrepreneurship education had an important contribution in developing the number of entrepreneurs. Entrepreneurship education could be specified into two constructs, namely curriculum attendance and extracurricular activity. The purpose of the study was to measure and assess entrepreneurship education for students. This study examines a new instrument of curriculum attendance and extracurricular activity. The research method consists of two phases: the first phase was content validity, and the second phase was construct validity assisted by AMOS. The first phase examines the measurement instrument by involving seven experts. The second phase examines the instrument by involving students (N= 393) from various backgrounds at Universitas Lambung Mangkurat (ULM). Content validity using V-Aiken, and construct validity using EFA. The results show that 1) curriculum attendance could be measured by two indicators, namely participation in the entrepreneurship course (3 items) and enjoyment in the entrepreneurship course (3 items), and 2) extracurricular activity measured by five indicators, namely the entrepreneurial community (3 items), enthusiasm for entrepreneurship (2 items), entrepreneurship seminar (2 items), entrepreneurial project (3 items), and entrepreneurial spirit (2 items). This research implies is that the instrument can be used by researchers in universities to evaluate entrepreneurship education.

In this paper, an analysis is carried out to review the comparison of the mean EEG power between groups of ASD students in terms of duration <3 years, 3 to 9 years and =9 years, so that a significant difference can be seen. In this study, 33 ASD students were observed using EEG, which had a sampling frequency of 500 Hz with eight electrodes at points F3, F4, C3, C4, P3, P4, O1, O2. The results show that the longer the child gets EIBI, the absolute power of the delta and slow theta waves will decrease. Relative power results also show that the longer the duration of the student obtaining EIBI, the higher the percentage of the emergence of alpha waves. So, the comparison of power EEGs based on group division for the duration of the intervention program, shows that EIBI has the potential to improve student quality.

Teachers in all subject areas, including English, must impart the methodology of critical thinking to their students. One of the 21st century's skills is this idea. Teachers must integrate the idea of critical thinking into their lessons. This study aims to analyze how well EFL teachers in Indonesia integrate critical thinking, taking into account learning design, learning resources, conceptual mastery, implementation, and assessment. EFL teachers from junior and senior high schools made up the 120 respondents in this survey, which was used as the research technique. The EFL instructors polled have all completed professional certification training. According to the findings, up to 77.47% of teachers created lesson plans that included the idea of critical thinking, and just a small fraction didn't. Up to 77.5% of those who assembled educational materials did so with the idea of critical thinking in mind; 76.6% were open-minded; up to 80% were employed in learning; and up to 68.3% used assessment. The idea of critical thinking has generally been included by teachers into English learning resources and exercises. It is necessary to conduct this research in order to assess the effectiveness of teachers who use critical thinking approaches in the classroom. Each of the topics that have been examined both quantitatively and qualitatively should be able to be articulated in further detail with additional study.

This study aims to evaluate cognitive conflict in constructing mathematical concepts, based on thinking errors. The data were collected through observations of words or sentences, leading to the derivation of qualitative outputs. Furthermore, the results showed that the two selected subjects experienced cognitive conflicts regarding thinking errors in mathematical concept construction. This selection process was conducted through the provision of the questions obtained in the first semester of mathematics, at Universitas Negeri Makassar, Indonesia. These questions consisted of several indicators, with each of them having three components, namely the main, tracking, and supporting items. Based on the results, two subjects experienced thinking errors in constructing the concept of algebraic root form addition. This emphasized the errors in placing concepts (misplaced), pseudo-thinking, and misanalogy. A conflict was also observed between the initial concept knowledge of using variables in algebraic addition and the new principles understood through the root summation in algebra. Furthermore, there was also a conflict between the concept understanding he had in terms of the addition operation of the root form and a new understanding of the addition operation of the root form in algebra.

This study aims to provide a comprehensive overview of the current state and potential future research in learning style detection. With the increasing number and diversity of research in this area, a quantitative approach is necessary to map out current themes and identify potential areas for future research. To achieve this goal, a bibliometric and content analysis will be conducted to map out the existing research and identify emerging topics and directions for future research. The study analyzes 1074 bibliographic sources from Scopus and visualizes the results of the bibliometric analysis through cooccurrence and thematic map analysis using VOSviewer and BibliometriX software. Content analysis is then conducted based on the results of the co-occurrence analysis. The findings reveal a significant increase in publications and citations in the field, with popular research topics including classification, adaptive learning, and MOOCs, and the most frequently used learning style models being Felder-Silverman, VARK, and Kolb. Emerging research topics include the use of EEG signals, online learning, and feature extraction. Future research may focus on classification, intelligent tutoring systems, MOOCs, online learning, adaptive learning, and deep learning. This study provides valuable insights into the current and future research trends in learning style detection, which can support the development of adaptive e-learning systems, intelligent tutoring systems, and MOOCs. By identifying popular research topics and emerging areas of study, this research can guide the design and implementation of effective online learning environments. Additionally, the study advances the field of e-learning knowledge by providing a comprehensive overview of the most frequently used learning style models and potential research areas. It sheds light on the ongoing development of learning style detection research and the potential for future advancements in the field, ultimately contributing to the growth and improvement of e-learning practices.

The existence of digital technology is currently seen as a system that helps teachers satisfy the needs of their students. The utilization of technology facilitates teachers' ability to address students' low critical thinking abilities. Therefore, this research studied the utilization of Metaverse technology applications based on Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (Meta-STEM) to improve critical thinking skills. The study used a quantitative research approach and adopted the true experimental design method. A pre- and post-tests control group design was used in this study. The research findings revealed a significant difference between the average outcomes of using Metaverse technology applications in the experimental group compared to the control group. Meta-STEM technology supported by the internet provides a fresh perspective on teaching methods especially in education. The present teaching methods use both virtual learning platforms and conventional face-to-face classrooms. The interaction process is becoming more dynamic and obtaining and searching for information is more accessible without spatial or temporal limitations. The implications of Meta-STEM for supporting learning can increase students' ability to gain information. In addition, there are numerous advantages to using Meta-STEM in the field of education for training and education. Providing impressive learning methods for students and teachers, making it easier for teachers to convey complex material, increasing students' level of understanding of the learning material presented by teachers as well as Meta-STEM can provide knowledge to master technology for students.

This research was encouraged by the demand for every student to possess higher order thinking skills (HOTS). This ability can be assessed when the question instruments require high-level thinking skills. Hence, the present study aimed to analyze the fulfilment and percentage of high-level thinking skill indicators in reading literacy questions at Vocational High Schools (SMK) in Pekanbaru City. The research was qualitative and employed a content analysis methodology. Data were collected using documentation techniques involving reading literacy instruments obtained from teachers in vocational high schools throughout Pekanbaru city. The development of HOTS-based reading literacy questions was expected to reflect students' reading literacy abilities. The findings indicated that the reading literacy questions developed by teachers were predominantly not HOTS-based. However, some questions exhibited HOTS characteristics, such as critical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving. Based on Aiken's test conducted by experts on the three teacher-created instruments, it was concluded that over 50% of the questions were not valid. This conclusion was further reinforced by interviews with teachers who encountered challenges in designing reading literacy questions, including difficulty determining operational verbs and a lack of knowledge in developing reading literacy questions, creating HOTS-based questions, and composing answer choices relevant to the provided rules.

Laboratory course activities often focus on "cookbook style," so their activities have not yet integrated with scientific thinking as an essential aspect. In this research, the laboratory experience of microbial analysis techniques was redesigned using alternative inquiry to involve students in isolating and characterising yeast to make the bread rise. This research aimed to determine the effect of implementing inquiry-based laboratory experiences on improving students' technical skills and the structure and characteristics of laboratory courses. The method used a single case study to obtain a complete picture regarding implementing laboratory course redesign. Laboratory experience activities consisted of pre-laboratory (reinforcement of theory) and investigation (preparation of methods, laboratory investigation activities, data analysis and presentation, and writing written reports). Overall, our results suggest that inquiry-based laboratory experiences can improve students' microbial analysis technique skills in strong collaboration. In addition, students considered several benefits from this learning, such as developing designs and conducting laboratory investigations close to the original context. With these results, educators can use the redesign of this laboratory course without applying full "course-based undergraduate research experiences" to students.

Students' environmental knowledge and sustainability awareness are important competencies to prepare them to face global environmental challenges. The study aimed to evaluate the gender difference and correlation between students' environmental knowledge, sustainability awareness, and sustainability practice frequency after Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) in Biology lesson. This study uses a quantitative research design with a one-group pretest posttest design using cognitive tests and a self-administered survey. The participants were year X students in one of the schools in Indonesia, during 2022/2023 academic year, including 114 students (M=54, F=60). The result found that although Indonesian high school students generally have high overall environmental knowledge students have low knowledge of global warming. Students have a high sustainability awareness and a high average frequency of practicing sustainability. Secondly, this research found that gender differences exist where female has significantly higher environmental knowledge than male students. Female students also have higher consciousness in all specific domains of sustainability, and they have statistically higher sustainability behavior than males. Environmental knowledge has a statistically moderately positive correlation with the frequency of sustainability practices. Environmental knowledge has a weak correlation with sustainability awareness. The frequency of sustainability practices has low correlation with sustainability awareness.
