Se enumeran los coleópteros representantes de las familias Coccinellidae Latreille, 1807 y Melyridae Leach, 1815 recolectados en el Parque Natural de Sant Llorenç del Munt i Serra de l’Obac (Barcelona, Catalunya): en total, 36 especies de coccinélidos y 33 especies de melíridos, siendo 10 y 11 especies, respectivamente, inéditas en la zona. Se precisan localidades y periodos de aparición. Palabras clave: Coleoptera, Coccinellidae, Melyridae, Sant Llorenç del Munt, Catalunya. The beetles of the Coccinellidae Latreille, 1807 and Melyridae Leach, 1815 families collected in the Natural Park of Sant Llorenç del Munt i Serra de l’Obac (Barcelona, Catalonia) are listed: a total of 36 species of coccinellids and 33 species of melyrids, of which 10 and 11 species respectively were previously unpublished for the area. Localities and occurrence periods are provided. Key words: Coleoptera, Melyridae, Coccinellidae, Sant Llorenç del Munt, Catalonia.

Presentamos un estudio de nuestro conocimiento actual sobre el poblamiento de la Edad del Bronce en Navarra. A partir de la información obtenida en recientes prospecciones, analizamos su evolución en dos zonas de la provincia: el S.E. de Navarra y la Cuenca de Pamplona. Se resalta el inicio en esta época del habitat estable en nuestro territorio.

En este artículo se procede a la revisión de los materiales conservados del megalito desaparecido de Uñón (Clavijo, La Rioja), entre los que destacan varios recipientes campaniformes.

Thoracic surgery has evolved into minimally invasive surgery, in terms of not only surgical approach but also less aggressive anesthesia protocols and lung-sparing resections. Nonintubated anatomic segmentectomies are challenging procedures but can be safely performed if some essentials are considered. Strict selection criteria, previous experience in minor procedures, multidisciplinary cooperation, and the 4 cornerstones (deep sedation, regional analgesia, oxygenation support and vagal blockade) should be followed. Better outcomes in postoperative recovery, including resumption of oral intake, chest tube duration, and hospital stay, and low complication and conversion rates, are encouraging but should be checked in larger multicenter prospective randomized trials.

Uniportal video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery (VATS) is probably the mast successful single-incision approach worldwide, probably secondary to several specific circumstances: multiportal VATS was hardly getting his recognition in the thoracic surgeon's community; the extraordinary effort by his creators and believers for developing the technique and giving massive diffusion; the subjective feeling by surgeons who performed the approach about its benefits and advantages. Despite this, many efforts have focused on extending new indications and describing variations of the original intercostal uniportal 'VATS, but few quality papers have analyzed the real impact of the approach and its real advantages or disadvantages comparing to multiportal VATS. Thus, many surgeons still feel little confidence on the approach and reject his performance. With the aim of standardizing the approach and the technical aspects for non-experienced or beginners, the Uniportal VATS Interest Group (UVIG) of the European Society of Thoracic Surgery (ESTS) decided to set the basis for homogenization of the technique to cement the development of high-level evidence works that shed light on the real outcomes of uniportal compared to multiportal VATS. This article describes the main specific technical aspects while performing lower lobectomies and lymphadenectomy, which were described as the mast suitable cases for initiating the learning curve.

Based on a study of the properties of the Lerch's transcendent, exact closed forms of dispersion relations for amplitudes and for derivatives of amplitudes in pp and pp scattering are introduced. Exact and complete expressions are written for the real parts and for their derivatives at $t=0$ based on given inputs for the energy dependence of the total cross sections and of the slopes of the imaginary parts. The results are prepared for application in the analysis of forward scattering data of the pp and pp systems at all energies, where exact and precise representations can be written., 23 pages, 1 figure

Proofs are given of exact analytical solutions for general principal value integrations of the dispersion relations of pp and pp¯ scattering amplitudes. The proofs are based on recent developments in the study of properties of the Lerch's transcendent of the mathematical literature. Dispersion relations for the slopes of the amplitudes are mathematically defined and also solved exactly. The results are explicitly expanded, providing an important basis for improvement in the phenomenology of the hadronic interactions.

Thoracic trauma is a challenging situation with potential severe chest wall and intrathoracic organ injuries. We present a case of emergent surgery in a 23-year-old man with hemorrhagic shock due to massive lung and chest wall injury after thoracic trauma in a water slide. We performed a SI-VATS approach in order to define intrathoracic and chest wall injuries, and once checked the extension of the chest wall injury, we added a middle size thoracotomy just over the affected area in order to stabilize rib fractures with Judet plates, that had caused massive laceration in left lower lobe (LLL) and injured the pericardium causing myocardical tear. After checking bronchial and vascular viability of LLL we suggested a lung parenchyma preserving technique with PTFE protected pulmonary primary suture in order to avoid a lobectomy. Chest tubes were removed on 3rd postoperative day and patient was discharged on 14th postoperative day. He has already recovered his normal activity 6 months after surgery.

Endobronchial lipomas are rare benign tumors whose symptoms are usually confused with recurrent infections or even asthma diagnosis, and mostly caused by endobronquial obstructive component which also conditions severity. We report a case of a 60-year-old man with a right-lower lobe upper-segment endobronchial myxoid tumor with uncertain diagnosis. We performed a single incision video-assisted anatomical segmentectomy and wedge bronchoplasty with handsewn closure to achieve complete resection and definitive diagnosis. During the postoperative air leak was not observed and there was no complication, with low pain scores and complete recovery. Final pathological exam showed endobronchial lipoma. Single-incision (SI) anatomical segmentectomies are lungsparing resections for benign or low-grade malignancies with diagnostic and therapeutic value, and the need for a wedge bronchoplasty is not a necessary indication for conversion to multiport or open thoracotomy.

The nucleotide-sugar–activated P2Y14 receptor (P2Y14-R) is highly expressed in hematopoietic cells. Although the physiologic functions of this receptor remain undefined, it has been strongly implicated recently in immune and inflammatory responses. Lack of availability of receptor-selective high-affinity antagonists has impeded progress in studies of this and most of the eight nucleotide-activated P2Y receptors. A series of molecules recently were identified by Gauthier et al. (Gauthier et al., 2011) that exhibited antagonist activity at the P2Y14-R. We synthesized one of these molecules, a 4,7-disubstituted 2-naphthoic acid derivative (PPTN), and studied its pharmacological properties in detail. The concentration-effect curve of UDP-glucose for promoting inhibition of adenylyl cyclase in C6 glioma cells stably expressing the P2Y14-R was shifted to the right in a concentration-dependent manner by PPTN. Schild analyses revealed that PPTN-mediated inhibition followed competitive kinetics, with a KB of 434 pM observed. In contrast, 1 μM PPTN exhibited no agonist or antagonist effect at the P2Y1, P2Y2, P2Y4, P2Y6, P2Y11, P2Y12, or P2Y13 receptors. UDP-glucose–promoted chemotaxis of differentiated HL-60 human promyelocytic leukemia cells was blocked by PPTN with a concentration dependence consistent with the KB determined with recombinant P2Y14-R. In contrast, the chemotactic response evoked by the chemoattractant peptide fMetLeuPhe was unaffected by PPTN. UDP-glucose–promoted chemotaxis of freshly isolated human neutrophils also was blocked by PPTN. In summary, this work establishes PPTN as a highly selective high-affinity antagonist of the P2Y14-R that is useful for interrogating the action of this receptor in physiologic systems.

Se presentan en este artículo dos sepulturas de la Edad del Bronce de Navarra España) caracterizadas por su cámara de pequeño tamaño y su túmulo plano. Se ponen en relación con otros ejemplos del valle del Ebro, indicando su conexión regional entre la arquitectura de los sepulcros megalíticos y los crómlechs, tumbas de incineración de la Edad del Hierro.------------In this paper we present two Bronze Age sepultures in Navarre (Spain), characterized by their small chamber and flat tumulus. They are put in relation with other examples of the Ebro valley, showing the regional connection between the architecture of the megalithic tombs and the cromlechs, the Iron Age incineration tombs.

Las Musas de Arellano es una importante villa rural romana del Alto valle del Ebro. Las excavaciones realizadas entre 1985 y 2000 muestran la evolución del yacimiento desde una explotación agrícola en los siglos I‐II hasta una lujosa residencia rural en el s. IV d.C. La villa ha sido elegida como el mejor ejemplo de Navarra para la visita pública de este tipo de museo de sitio. El artículo explica los trabajos y criterios seguidos en la adecuación del yacimiento para su visita pública.--------------------------- The Arellanoʹs Muses is an important rural Roman villa on the High Ebro valley. The archaeological excavations between 1985 and 2000 show the evolution of the site from a farm in the I‐II centuries to a luxurious rural residence in the IVth century A.D. The villa was chosen as the best sample in Navarre of this type of museum site for the public visit. The article explains the works and criteria followed in the architectural and museological adequacy.
