Bu çalışmada, iç mekân tekstillerine yönelik çok katlı dokuma kumaşların ses yutum davranışını geliştirmek amacıyla yeni yöntem ve yeni malzemeler kullanılarak ses yutum davranışı üzerindeki etkisi incelenmiştir. Öncelikle farklı lif çaplarına sahip iplikler ile farklı örgüler kullanılarak iki katlı dokuma kumaşlar üretilmiş ve üretilen kumaşların lifli ve gözenekli yapısını arttırabilmek için farklı pasajlarda şardonlama mekanik bitim işleminden geçirilmiştir. Pasaj sayısının ses yutum davranışı üzerindeki etkisi incelendiğinde iki pasaj sayısının en uygun seviye olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Şardonlama işlemi ile etkili ses yutum aralığının, düşük frekanstan yüksek frekans bölgesine doğru değiştiği tespit edilmiştir. Çalışmanın ikinci bölümünde, dokuma kumaş yapısı içerisinde kompakt lif demetlerini daha hacimli bir hale dönüştürmek ve homojen lifli gözenekli yapıyı dokuma sırasında elde etmek için farklı hav uzunluğu, farklı lif kesiti ve farklı lif çapına sahip şönil iplikler ile tek katlı, iki katlı, üç katlı bezayağı ve panama örgüde dokuma kumaşlar tasarlanmıştır. Genel olarak şönil iplik hav uzunluğu arttıkça ve lif çapı azaldıkça ses yutum özelliğinin arttığı tespit edilmiştir. En iyi ses yutuculuk bikomponent 72 filament 16 dilimli pasta kesitli kumaşta elde edilmiştir. Bunu 600 filamentli dairesel kesit takip etmiştir. Aynı lif çapında kesitler karşılaştırıldığında en iyi ses yutum performansı, kanal kesit, içi boş kesit, çokgen ve dairesel kesit olarak sıralanmaktadır. Örgüler karşılaştırıldığında bezayağı kumaşların düşük frekansta, panama kumaşların yüksek frekansta ses yutum değerleri daha yüksek elde edilmiştir. Kumaş kat sayısı karşılaştırıldığında kat sayısı arttıkça etkin ses yutum aralığı rezonans tip davranış sebebiyle düşük frekanslarda görülmektedir. In this study, the effect of multi-layer woven fabrics for interior textiles on sound absorption behavior was investigated by using new methods and new materials in order to improve the sound absorption behavior. First of all, two-layer woven fabrics were produced using yarns with different fiber diameters and different weaves, and raising mechanical finishing was applied in different passages in order to increase the fibrous and porous structure of the fabrics produced. When the effect of the number of passages on the sound absorption behavior was examined, it was determined that the number of two passages was the optimum level. It has been determined that the effective sound absorption range changes from low frequency to high frequency region with the raising process. In the second part of the study, in order to transform the compact fibers into a more voluminous and homogeneous fibrous porous structure, chenille yarns which have different pile lengths, different fiber cross-sections and different fiber diameters are used for single-ply, two-ply, three-ply plain and basket weave fabrics. In general, it has been determined that as the chenille pile length increases and the fiber diameter decreases, the sound absorption property increases. The best sound absorption was obtained in the bicomponent 72 filament 16 segmented pie cross-section fabric. This was followed by a circular cross-section with 600 filaments. When the cross-sections with the same fiber diameter are compared, the best sound absorption performance is listed as channel, hollow, polygonal and circular cross-section. When the weaves are compared, the sound absorption values of plain fabrics at low frequency and basket weave fabrics at high frequencies are higher. When the number of fabric layers is compared, as the number of layers increases, the effective sound absorption range is seen at low frequencies due to the resonance type behavior. Bu tez çalışmasında düşük yoğunluklu polietilen köpük polimerden ilk defa sentetik iplik üretiminde yararlanılmıştır. İpliklerin üretiminde, yenilikçi lif üretim teknolojilerinden biri olan bikomponent lif üretim tekniği kullanılmıştır. Köpük polimerler düşük yoğunluğu, gözenekli yapısı, düşük termal iletkenlik katsayısı ve iyi ses yutuculuk özelliği gibi avantajlı özellikleri nedeniyle pek çok endüstride kullanılmaktadır. Bu özelliklerinden teknik tekstil alanında da yararlanmak amacıyla bikomponent iplik içerisinde katkı olarak kullanarak bikomponent ipliklere ve bu ipliklerden üretilen yüzeylere kazandırdığı özellikler incelenmiştir. İç içe bikomponent iplik üretiminde iç kısımda üç farklı katkı oranında düşük yoğunluklu polietilen köpük, dış kısımda ise polipropilen polimeri kullanılmıştır. Bikomponent ipliklerin özellikleri, iplik numarası, mukavemet, uzama gibi fiziksel testlerin yanı sıra taramalı elektron mikroskobu, diferansiyel taramalı kalorimetre gibi karakterizasyon yöntemleri ile test edilmiştir. Bikomponent ipliklerin ısı yalıtımı ve akustik özelliklerini inceleyebilmek için bikomponent ipliklerden örme kumaşlar üretilmiştir. Örme kumaşların kalınlık, gramaj gibi fiziksel özelliklerinin yanı sıra iki farklı standarda göre termal iletkenlik katsayıları ve ses yutuculuk katsayıları tespit edilmiştir. Bunlara ek olarak iplik ve kumaş numunelerinden elde edilen sonuçlar istatiksel analize tabi tutuldu. Artan köpük polimer katkı oranı ile, kumaşların termal iletkenlik katsayıları azalmış, ses yutuculuk katsayıları ise artmıştır. En düşük termal iletkenlik katsayısı en yüksek katkı oranı ile üretilen kumaş ile 0,060 W/ mK olarak elde edilmiştir. Ses yutuculuk katsayısı ise benzer şekilde en yüksek katkı oranına sahip kumaşta %64 oranında artmıştır. In this thesis, low-density polyethylene polymer foam was used for the first time in the production of synthetic yarn. Bicomponent fiber production technique, which is one of the innovative fiber production technologies, was used in the production of the yarns. Polymer foams are used in many industries due to their advantageous properties such as low density, porous structure, low thermal conductivity coefficient, and good sound absorption properties. To benefit from these properties in the field of technical textiles, it was used as an additive in the bicomponent yarn, and the properties it gave to the bicomponent yarns, and the surfaces produced from these yarns were examined. In the production of core/ sheath bicomponent yarns, low-density polyethylene foam was used at the core section with three different additive ratios, and polypropylene polymer was used at the sheath section. The properties of bicomponent yarns were tested with physical tests such as yarn count, tenacity, and elongation, as well as characterization methods such as scanning electron microscopy and differential scanning calorimetry. To examine the thermal insulation and acoustic properties of bicomponent yarns, knitted fabrics were produced from bicomponent yarns. In addition to the physical properties of knitted fabrics such as thickness and weight, thermal conductivity coefficients according to two different standards and sound absorption coefficients were determined. In addition, the results obtained from yarn and fabric samples were subjected to statistical analysis. With the increasing foam polymer additive ratio, the thermal conductivity coefficients of the fabrics decreased, and the sound absorption coefficients increased. The lowest thermal conductivity coefficient was obtained as 0,060 W/mK with the fabric produced with the highest additive ratio. Bu çalışmada farklı atkı sıklığı ve iplik numaralarından oluşan dokuma kumaşların örtme faktörü ve gözeneklilik parametreleri ile ses yutuculuk davranışları arasındaki ilişki incelenmiştir. Bu amaçla üç farklı atkı sıklığı ve dört farklı numarada atkı ipliği kullanılarak dokuma kumaşlar üretilmiştir. Kumaşların gramaj, kalınlık, hava geçirgenliği, gözenek oranı ve ses yutuculuk katsayıları ölçülmüştür. Kalın iplik kullanımı ve sıklık artışı kumaştaki gözenek oranını ve hava geçirgenlik değerlerini düşürmüş, bunun yanında kumaşın ses yutuculuk katsayısı değerlerinde artışa sebep olmuştur. Kumaş sıklığı ve iplik numarası parametrelerini tek bir değişkene indirgemesi açısından faydalı olabilecek örtme faktörü değerleri hesaplanmıştır. Örtme faktörü yüksek kumaşların daha küçük gözeneklere sahip olduğu ve hava geçirgenliklerinin daha düşük olduğu gösterilmiştir. Artan örtme faktörü ile birlikte dokuma kumaşların daha iyi ses yutuculuk performansı gösterdiği tespit edilmiştir. In this study, the relationship between the cover factor and porosity parameters of woven fabrics consisting of different weft density and yarn counts and the sound absorption behavior were investigated. For this purpose, woven fabrics were produced using three different weft density and four different weft thread counts. Mass per unit area, thickness, air permeability, pore ratio and sound absorption coefficients of the fabrics were measured. The use of thick yarns and the increase in weft density decreased the fabric pore ratio and air permeability values, besides, they caused an increase in the sound absorption coefficient values of the fabric. Cover factor values that can be useful in reducing the fabric density and yarn count parameters to a single variable have been calculated. It has been shown that fabrics with high cover factor have smaller pores and lower air permeability. It has been determined that woven fabrics show better sound absorption performance with increasing cover factor.

Bu çalışmada, yüksek ses yutuculuk kapasitesi olan kompozit bir malzemenin tasarım aşamaları sunulmuştur. Öncelikle bikomponent lif teknolojisine sahip eğirmeli bağlantı (spunbonding) yöntemiyle deniz içinde ada enine kesitine sahip bikomponent lifler üretilmiştir. Ada liflerinin bikomponent yapıdan ayrılabilmesi, bunun yanında liflerin birbiri içine geçerek, sıkı, mukavemetli dokusuz yüzey yapıyı oluşturması için dokusuz yüzeyler su jetleri ile işleme (hydroentangling) tabi tutulmuştur. 67452 kJ/kg spesifik enerji, optimum enerji seviyesi olarak tespit edilmiştir. Lif çapları 1 mikrometreden daha ince olan 108 ada liflerine sahip dokusuz yüzeyin ses yutuculuk katsayıları en yüksek ölçülmüştür. Ses yutuculuk katsayılarının özellikle daha düşük frekanslarda artması adına, çok katlı dokusuz yüzey yapılar oluşturulmuş ve bu yapıların ses yutuculuk özellikleri incelenmiştir. Çok katlı 108 adalı dokusuz yüzeyin özellikle kısıtlı hacmi bulunan bazı uygulamalarda, ses yutucu eleman olarak iyi bir alternatif olabileceği gösterilmiştir. Kompozit yapının diğer bileşeni olan hacimli dokusuz yüzeylerin ses yutuculuk özellikleri incelenmiştir. Hacimli dokusuz yüzeyin ses yutuculuk davranışı, ortam - malzeme etkileşimi analiz edilerek açıklanmıştır. Yapılan ölçümler sonucunda maksimum ses yutuculuğun frekansa ve katı hacim katsayısına bağlı olarak optimum kalınlıklarda gerçekleştiği tespit edilmiştir. Son olarak kompozit yapılı dokusuz yüzeylerin oluşturma yöntemi verilmiş, ses yutuculuk özellikleri ortaya konmuş, nanolif kompozit yapılı dokusuz yüzeylerin ses yutuculuk açısından getirdiği iyileştirme olası bir kullanım alanı üzerinden açıklanmıştır. In this study, design stages of a composite material that has high sound absorption capability were presented. Firstly, bicomponent fibers with islands-in-the-sea cross sections were produced using spunbond process that has bicomponent fiber technology. Nonwovens were subjected to hydroentangling so as to split island fibers from bicomponent structure and also cause consolidation and constitute a rigid nonwoven structure with high tenacity. Specific energy of 67452 kJ/kg was established as an optimum energy level. Highest sound absorption coefficients were measured from the nonwoven with 108 islands, which has the fibers under 1 micrometer diameter. Multi-layer nonwovens were prepared to increase sound absorption especially at lower frequencies and sound absorption properties of these structures were investigated. It was shown that, multi-layer nonwoven with 108 islands can be a good alternative as a sound absorber especially in some applications where there is limited space available. Sound absorption properties of the high-loft nonwovens, which are the other component of the composite structure, were investigated. Sound absorption behavior of the high-loft nonwovens were explained by analyzing the interaction of the medium and the material. It was found that, maximum sound absorption occurs at optimum thicknesses depending on the frequency and solid volume fraction. Finally, formation method of the composite constructed nonwovens was given and sound absorption properties were stated. The enhancement of the nanofibers composite constructed nonwovens in terms of sound absorption was explained with a potential application area. 208
