Aim: This study was carried out to determine the effects of the nomophobic behaviors of student nurses using smartphones on their social phobia levels.Methods: This cross-sectional and correlational study was carried out between 1 March and 30 September 2019 with the participation of nursing students (N=409) enrolled at a state university in Turkey. The study was conducted in order to examine the correlation between the humor styles of the patients and their intensive care experiences. This study was conducted in descriptive and correlational design. The population of the study consisted of the patients who were treated in the general surgery, neurosurgery, neurology, and organ transplantation intensive care units of a university hospital. Its sample consisted of 204 intensive care patients. The data were collected using the Personal Information Form prepared by the researchers, Humor Styles Questionnaire, and Intensive Care Experience Questionnaire. The descriptive statistics, independent samples t test, One Way ANOVA, post-hoc tests, Correlation analysis and Cronbach's Alpha reliability analysis test were used to assess the data. In the study, it was found that the intensive care patients mostly used the affiliative and aggressive humor style and they had a positive intensive care experience. Additionally, there were a positive significant weak correlation between the affiliative humor and the subscale of “satisfaction with care” of ICEQ and a negative significant weak correlation between the subscales of “frightening experiences” and “recall of experience”. As a result of the study, it was observed that the patients using the affiliative humor style had less pessimistic experience, remembered the intensive care experiences less, and were satisfied with the care provided the intensive care unit.

Virtual reality is an interface that allows the user to interact with environments created in a computer environment. The virtual reality, which requires a great deal of attention, is an effective tool for pain and anxiety due to its immersive nature. The use of virtual reality in the nursing field has become increasingly important and increased in recent years as it is easily accessible and low cost. Health professionals’ use of virtual reality in patient care and their effectiveness will improve the quality of care.

Tüm bu zorluklar, kaçınılmaz olarak insan fizyolojisi ve psikolojisini önemli ölçüde etkilemektedir. This method has evolved into observations based on scientific foundations after the Middle Ages. After all, since the middle of the 20th century, people have developed this interest in the form of traveling to space. First, important tasks were performed, the low earth orbit of which later became the moon. The goal today is to carry out manned missions to Mars. But space has its challenges, such as low gravity (microgravity) and ionizing radiation. Also spacecraft International Space Station-ISS, including being condemned to a restricted area, isolation, separate from the family and social environment remain as challenges. All these difficulties inevitably significantly affect human physiology and psychology. This review study has been prepared to examine how the space environment affects the sensory and motor systems of astronauts and to briefly explain what space motion sickness is, a disease that astronauts often encounter.

In our study, we investigated the relationship between spiritual well-being and adherence to immunosuppressive therapy after liver transplantation.We conducted this descriptive and cross-sectional study with the participation of 131 liver transplant recipients after they had received their transplants. Data collection was carried out using a Personal Information Form, the Spiritual Well-Being Scale and the Immunosuppressant Therapy Adherence Scale. The IBM Statistical Package for the Social Sciences 25.0 was used for the statistical analyses.While 73.3% of the patients were at the ages of 45-64, 72.5% were male, and 39.7% had been using immunosuppressive medication for a period between 6 months and 1 year. The rate of corticosteroid use among the patients was 30.5%, and the rate of antimetabolite use was 21.4%. A positive and significant relationship was found between adherence to immunosuppressive treatment and spiritual well-being (B = 0.425, p = 0.017).Spiritual well-being is an inexpensive, effective and easy strategy to increase adherence to immunosuppressive treatment. Awareness should be raised in physicians and nurses about the importance of spiritual well-being, and they should be encouraged to support spiritual well-being.

Inadequate immunosuppressive therapy causes rejection, whereas an overdose may lead to infections or malignancy to affect a patient's life and comfort. This study used a descriptive correlational design to determine how compliance with immunosuppressive therapy affected the well-being of liver transplant patients. The study was conducted in the liver transplant unit of a university hospital with 103 patients who underwent liver transplant surgery. The target population included patients who received treatment in liver transplant clinics between July 2016 and August 2017. Mean age of the patients in the study was 44.66 ± 14.86 years and the time after transplant was 15.48 ± 16.90 months on the average. A significant difference was found between mean General Comfort Scale scores according to the variable of adherence status (t = 6.898, p < .05). Simple linear regression analysis showed a positive moderate, significant correlation between the adherence variable and mean General Comfort Scale scores (R = 0.543, p < .001). It was found that the patients who adhered to immunosuppressive therapy experienced higher levels of comfort. Therefore, arrangements to improve patient adherence to therapy, hence comfort, are recommended, as well as periodic evaluations of patient comfort levels.

This research study was carried out as a descriptive and cross-sectional study to determine the relationship between anxiety and stress levels with quality of sleep in patients after living donor liver transplantation (LDLT).The research population was composed of all of the adult patients who underwent surgery in these clinics. The sample of the study consisted of 98 patients who were selected from among these patients by using the non-random sampling method, who were able to communicate and volunteered to participate in the study. Personal Information Form, Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index, Epworth Sleepiness Scale (ESS), Beck Anxiety Inventory (BAI) and Perceived Stress Scale (PSS) were used in data collection. The data analysis was performed with IBM SPSS (Statistical Package for the Social Sciences) Statistics 16.It was determined that 34.7% of the patients were 55 years old and over, and 79.6% of them were male and 92.9% were married. It was found that patients were a poor quality of sleep. Patients' perceived stress and anxiety levels after liver transplantation were found to be moderate. It was determined that as the patients were increased anxiety level, their sleep quality decreased.Training programs should be planned to strengthen communication in order to increase the sleep quality of the patients and to reduce their anxiety levels.
