1. Search for new light vector boson using J/Ψ at BESIII and Belle II

Abstract: Abstract We investigate various search strategies for light vector boson X in O $$ \mathcal{O} $$ (10) MeV mass range using J/Ψ associated channels at BESIII and Belle II: (i) J/Ψ → η c X with 1010 J/Ψs at BESIII, (ii) J/Ψ(η c + X) + ℓ ℓ ¯ $$ \mathrm{\ell}\overline{\mathrm{\ell}} $$ production at Belle II, and (iii) J/Ψ + X with the displaced vertex in X → e + e − decay are analyzed and the future sensitivities at Belle II with 50 ab −1 luminosity are comprehensively studied. By requiring the displaced vertex to be within the beam pipe, the third method results in nearly background-free analysis, and the vector boson-electron coupling and the vector boson mass can be probed in the unprecedented range, 10 −4 ≤ |ε e | ≤ 10 −3 and 9 MeV ≤ m X ≤ 100MeV with 50 ab −1 at Belle II. This covers the favored signal region of 8Be* anomaly recently reported by Atomki experiment with m X ≃ 17 MeV.

Abstract: Using a data sample of 980 fb$^{-1}$ collected with the Belle detector operating at the KEKB asymmetric-energy e$^{+}$e$^{-}$ collider, we present evidence for the Ω(2012)$^{-}$ in the resonant substructure of Ω$_{c}$$^{0}$ → π$^{+}$ ($\overline{K}$ Ξ)$^{-}$ (($\overline{K}$ Ξ)$^{-}$ = K$^{-}$Ξ$^{0}$ + K$^{0}$Ξ$^{-}$ ecays. The significance of the decays. The significance of the Ω(2012)$^{-}$ signal is 4.2σ after considering the systematic uncertainties. The ratio of the branching fraction of Ω$_{c}$$^{0}$ → π$^{+}$ Ω(2012)$^{-}$ π$^{+}$ ($\overline{K}$ Ξ)$^{-}$ relative to that of Ω$_{c}$$^{0}$ → π$^{+}$ Ω$^{-}$ is calculated to be 0.220±0.059(stat.)±0.035(syst.). The individual ratios of the branching fractions of the two isospin modes are also determined and found to be B (Ω$_{c}$$^{0}$ → π$^{+}$ Ω(2012)$^{-}$) x B(Ω(2012)$^{-}$ → $\overline{K}$ Ξ$^{0}$) / B(Ω$_{c}$$^{0}$ → π$^{+}$ K$^{-}$Ξ$^{0}$ = (9.6±3.2(stat.) ±1.8(syst.))% and B (Ω$_{c}$$^{0}$ → π$^{+}$ Ω(2012)$^{-}$) x B(Ω(2012)$^{-}$ → $\overline{K}$$^{0}$ Ξ$^{-}$) / B(Ω$_{c}$$^{0}$ → π$^{+}$ $\overline{K}$$^{0}$Ξ$^{-}$) =(5.5±2.8(stat.) ±0.7(syst.))%

Abstract: We report the first evidence for $X(3872)$ production in two-photon interactions by tagging either the electron or the position in the final state, exploring the highly virtual photon region. The search is performed in $e^+e^- \rightarrow e^+e^-J/\psi\pi^+\pi^-$, using 825 fb$^{-1}$ of data collected by the Belle detector operated at the KEKB $e^+e^-$ collider. We observe three $X(3872)$ candidates with an expected background of $0.11\pm 0.10$ events, with a significance of 3.2$\sigma$. We obtain an estimated value for $\tilde{\Gamma}_{\gamma\gamma}{\cal B}(X(3872)\rightarrow J/\psi\pi^+\pi^-$) assuming the $Q^2$ dependence predicted by a $c\bar{c}$ meson model, where $-Q^2$ is the invariant mass-squared of the virtual photon. No $X(3915)\rightarrow J/\psi\pi^+\pi^-$ candidates are found.

Abstract: We measure the time-dependent $C\!P$ violation parameters in $B^{0} \to K^{0}_{S}K^{0}_{S}K^{0}_{S}$ decays using $772 \times 10^6$ $B {\mkern 1.5mu\overline{\mkern-1.5mu B \mkern-0.1mu}\mkern 0.1mu}$ pairs collected at the $\Upsilon (4S)$ resonance with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy $e^+ e^-$ collider. The obtained mixing-induced and direct $C\!P$ asymmetries are $-0.71 \pm 0.23~{\rm(stat)} \pm 0.05~{\rm(syst)}$ and $0.12 \pm 0.16~{\rm(stat)} \pm 0.05~{\rm(syst)}$, respectively. These values are consistent with the Standard Model predictions. The significance of $C\!P$ violation differs from zero by 2.5 standard deviations.

Abstract: We investigate various search strategies for light vector boson $X$ in $\mathcal{O}(10)~{\rm MeV}$ mass range using $J/\Psi$ associated channels at BESIII and Belle II: (i) $J/\Psi \to \eta_c X$ with $10^{10} J/\Psi$s at BESIII, (ii) $J/\Psi (\eta_c +X) +\ell \bar{\ell}$ production at Belle~II, and (iii) $J/\Psi +X$ with the displaced vertex in $X\to e^+e^-$ decay are analyzed and the future sensitivities at Belle II with 50 ${\rm ab}^{-1}$ luminosity are comprehensively studied. By requiring the displaced vertex to be within the beam pipe, the third method results in nearly background-free analysis, and the vector boson-electron coupling and the vector boson mass can be probed in the unprecedented range, $10^{-4}\leq |\varepsilon_e| \leq 10^{-3}$ and $9~{\rm MeV}\leq m_X\leq 100 {\rm MeV}$ with 50 ${\rm ab}^{-1}$ at Belle II. This covers the favored signal region of $^8{\rm Be}^*$ anomaly recently reported by Atomki experiment with $m_X \simeq 17~{\rm MeV}$., Comment: 16 pages, 8 figures, and 6 tables

Abstract: We report the results of a first search for a doubly charged DDK bound state, denoted the R++, in ϒ(1S) and ϒ(2S) inclusive decays and via direct production in e+e- collisions at s=10.520, 10.580, and 10.867 GeV. The search uses data accumulated with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy e+e- collider. No significant signals are observed in the D+Ds∗+ invariant-mass spectra of all studied modes. The 90% credibility level upper limits on their product branching fractions in ϒ(1S) and ϒ(2S) inclusive decays (B(ϒ(1S, 2S)→R+++anything)×B(R++→D+Ds∗+)), the product values of Born cross section and branching fraction in e+e- collisions (σ(e+e-→R+++anything)×B(R++→D+Ds∗+)) at s=10.520, 10.580, and 10.867 GeV under different assumptions of R++ masses varying from 4.13 to 4.17 GeV/c2 and widths varying from 0 to 5 MeV are obtained.

Abstract: Using data collected in the Belle experiment at the KEKB asymmetric-energy e+e− collider we search for transitions Υ(4S)→ η$_{b}$(1S)ω, Υ(5S)→η$_{b}$(1S)ω and Υ(5S)→η$_{b}$(2S)ω. No significant signals are observed and we set 90% confidence level upper limits on the corresponding visible cross sections: 0.2 pb, 0.4 pb and 1.9 pb, respectively.

Abstract: The Belle II experiment at the SuperKEKB collider at KEK, Tsukuba, Japan has successfully started taking data with the full detector in March 2019. Belle II is a luminosity frontier experiment of the new generation to search for physics beyond the Standard Model of elementary particles, from precision measurements of a huge number of B and charm mesons and tau leptons. In order to read out the events at a high rate from the seven subdetectors of Belle II, we adopt a highly unified readout system, including a unified trigger timing distribution system (TTD), a unified high speed data link system (Belle2link), and a common backend system to receive Belle2link data. Each subdetector frontend readout system has a field-programmable gate array (FPGA) in which unified firmware components of the TTD receiver and Belle2link transmitter are embedded. The system is designed for data taking at a trigger rate up to 30 kHz with a dead-time fraction of about 1% in the frontend readout system. The trigger rate is still much lower than our design. However, the background level is already high due to the initial vacuum condition and other accelerator parameters, and it is the most limiting factor of the accelerator and detector operation. Hence the occupancy and radiation effects to the frontend electronics are rather severe, and they cause various kind of instabilities. Abstract: Using 980 fb−1 of data collected with the Belle detector operating at the KEKB asymmetric-energy eþe− collider, we report a study of the electromagnetic decays of excited charmed baryons Ξcð2790Þ and Ξcð2815Þ. A clear signal (8.6 standard deviations) is observed for Ξcð2815Þ0 → Ξ0 cγ, and we measure: B½Ξcð2815Þ0 → Ξ0 cγ B½Ξcð2815Þ0 → Ξcð2645Þþπ− → Ξ0 cπþπ− ¼ 0.41 0.05 0.03. We also present evidence (3.8 standard deviations) for the similar decay of the Ξcð2790Þ0 and measure: B½Ξcð2790Þ0 → Ξ0 cγ B½Ξcð2790Þ0 → Ξ0þ c π− → Ξþ c γπ− ¼ 0.13 0.03 0.02. The first quoted uncertainties are statistical and the second systematic. We find no hint of the analogous decays of the Ξcð2815Þþ and Ξcð2790Þþ baryons and set upper limits at the 90% confidence level of: B½Ξcð2815Þþ → Ξþ c γ B½Ξcð2815Þþ → Ξcð2645Þ0πþ → Ξþ c π−πþ < 0.09, and B½Ξcð2790Þþ → Ξþ c γ B½Ξcð2790Þþ → Ξ00 c πþ → Ξ0 cγπþ < 0.06. Approximate values of the partial widths of the decays are extracted, which can be used to discriminate between models of the underlying quark structure of these excited states.

Abstract: The experimental results on the ratios of branching fractions $\mathcal{R}(D) = {\cal B}(\bar{B} \to D \tau^- \bar{\nu}_{\tau})/{\cal B}(\bar{B} \to D \ell^- \bar{\nu}_{\ell})$ and $\mathcal{R}(D^*) = {\cal B}(\bar{B} \to D^* \tau^- \bar{\nu}_{\tau})/{\cal B}(\bar{B} \to D^* \ell^- \bar{\nu}_{\ell})$, where $\ell$ denotes an electron or a muon, show a long-standing discrepancy with the Standard Model predictions, and might hint to a violation of lepton flavor universality. We report a new simultaneous measurement of $\mathcal{R}(D)$ and $\mathcal{R}(D^*)$, based on a data sample containing $772 \times 10^6$ $B\bar{B}$ events recorded at the $\Upsilon(4S)$ resonance with the Belle detector at the KEKB $e^+ e^-$ collider. In this analysis the tag-side $B$ meson is reconstructed in a semileptonic decay mode and the signal-side $\tau$ is reconstructed in a purely leptonic decay. The measured values are $\mathcal{R}(D)= 0.307 \pm 0.037 \pm 0.016$ and $\mathcal{R}(D^*) = 0.283 \pm 0.018 \pm 0.014$, where the first uncertainties are statistical and the second are systematic. These results are in agreement with the Standard Model predictions within $0.2$, $1.1$ and $0.8$ standard deviations for $\mathcal{R}(D)$, $\mathcal{R}(D^*)$ and their combination, respectively. This work constitutes the most precise measurements of $\mathcal{R}(D)$ and $\mathcal{R}(D^*)$ performed to date as well as the first result for $\mathcal{R}(D)$ based on a semileptonic tagging method.

Abstract: We report the result for a search for the leptonic decay of B$^{+}$ → μ$^{+}$ν$_{μ}$ using the full Belle dataset of 711 fb$^{-1}$ of integrated luminosity at the ϒ(4S) resonance. In the Standard Model leptonic B-meson decays are helicity and Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa suppressed. To maximize sensitivity an inclusive tagging approach is used to reconstruct the second B meson produced in the collision. The directional information from this second B meson is used to boost the observed μ into the signal B-meson rest frame, in which the μ has a monochromatic momentum spectrum. Though its momentum is smeared by the experimental resolution, this technique improves the analysis sensitivity considerably. Analyzing the μ momentum spectrum in this frame we find B(B$^{+}$ → μ$^{+}$ν$_{μ}$) = 5.3 ± 2.0 ± 0.9) × 10$^{-7}$ with a one-sided significance of 2.8 standard deviations over the background-only hypothesis. This translates to a frequentist upper limit of B(B$^{+}$ → μ$^{+}$ν$_{μ}$) < 8.6 × 10$^{-7}$ at 90% confidence level. The experimental spectrum is then used to search for a massive sterile neutrino, B$^{+}$ → μ$^{+}$N, but no evidence is observed for a sterile neutrino with a mass in a range of 0–1.5 GeV. The determined B$^{+}$ → μ$^{+}$ν$_{μ}$ branching fraction limit is further used to constrain the mass and coupling space of the type II and type III two-Higgs-doublet models.

Abstract: Journal of high energy physics 2020(5), 34 (2020). doi:10.1007/JHEP05(2020)034, The first dedicated search for the η$_{c2}$(1D) is carried out using the decays B$^{+}$→ η$_{c2}$(1D)K$^{+}$, B$^{0}$ → η$_{c2}$(1D)$ {K}_S^0 $, B$^{0}$→ η$_{c2}$(1D)π$^{−}$K$^{+}$, and B$^{+}$→ η$_{c2}$(1D)π$^{+} {K}_S^0 $ with η$_{c2}$(1D) → h$_{c}$γ. No significant signal is found. For the η$_{c2}$(1D) mass range between 3795 and 3845 MeV/c$^{2}$, the branching-fraction upper limits are determined to be ℬ(B$^{+}$→ η$_{c2}$(1D)K$^{+}$) × ℬ(η$_{c2}$(1D) → h$_{c}$γ) < 3.7 × 10$^{−5}$, ℬ(B$^{0}$→ η$_{c2}$(1D)K$^{0}$) × ℬ(η$_{c2}$(1D) → h$_{c}$γ) < 3.5 × 10$^{−5}$, ℬ(B$^{0}$→ η$_{c2}$(1D)π$^{−}$K$^{+}$) × ℬ(η$_{c2}$(1D) → h$_{c}$γ) < 1.0 × 10$^{−4}$, and ℬ(B$^{+}$→ η$_{c2}$(1D)π$^{+} {K}_S^0 $) × ℬ(η$_{c2}$(1D) → h$_{c}$γ) < 1.1 × 10$^{−4}$ at 90% C.L. Abstract: Using a data sample of 921.9 fb-1 collected with the Belle detector, we study the process of e+e-→Ds+Ds1(2536)-+c.c. via initial-state radiation. We report the first observation of a vector charmoniumlike state decaying to Ds+Ds1(2536)-+c.c. with a significance of 5.9σ, including systematic uncertainties. The measured mass and width are (4625.9-6.0+6.2(stat)±0.4(syst)) MeV/c2 and (49.8-11.5+13.9(stat)±4.0(syst)) MeV, respectively. The product of the e+e-→Ds+Ds1(2536)-+c.c. cross section and the branching fraction of Ds1(2536)-→D¯*0K- is measured from the DsD¯s1(2536) threshold to 5.59 GeV.

Abstract: Using the data sample of 711 fb-1 of ϒ(4S) on-resonance data taken by the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy electron-positron collider, we present the first measurements of branching fractions of the decays B-→Λ¯c-Ξc′0, B-→Λ¯c-Ξc(2645)0, and B-→Λ¯c-Ξc(2790)0. The signal yields for these decays are extracted from the recoil mass spectrum of the system recoiling against Λ¯c- baryons in selected B- candidates. The branching fraction of B-→Λ¯c-Ξc(2790)0 is measured to be (1.1±0.4±0.2)×10-3, where the first uncertainty is statistical and the second is systematic. The 90% credibility level upper limits on B(B-→Λ¯c-Ξc′0) and B(B-→Λ¯c-Ξc(2645)0) are determined to be 6.5×10-4 and 7.9×10-4, respectively.

Abstract: The Belle II experiment at the SuperKEKB e + e − collider in KEK, Japan, started physics data-taking with a complete detector from early 2019. An online trigger system is indispensable for the Belle II experiment to reduce the beam background events associated with high electron and positron beam currents without sacrificing the target physics-oriented events. During the Belle II operation upon beam collision, the trigger system must be consistently controlled and its status must be carefully monitored in the process of data acquisition against unexpected situations. For this purpose, we have developed a slow control system for the newly developed Belle II trigger system based on the custom-made Belle II DAQ/slow control package. Around seventy thousand configuration parameters are saved in the Belle II central database server for every run when a run starts and stops. These parameters play an essential role in offline validation of the quality of runs. Around three thousand real-time variables are stored in the Belle II main archiving server, and the trend of some of these variables are regularly used for online and offline monitoring purposes. Various operator interface tools have been prepared and used. When the configuration parameters are not correctly applied, or some of the processes are unexpectedly terminated, the slow control system detects it, stops the data-taking process, and generates an alarm. In this article, we report how we constructed the Belle II trigger slow control system, and how we successfully managed to operate during its initial stage.

Abstract: The Belle II experiment features a substantial upgrade of the Belle detector and will operate at the SuperKEKB energy-asymmetric e+e− collider at KEK in Tsukuba, Japan. The accelerator completed its first phase of commissioning in 2016, and the Belle II detector saw its first electron-positron collisions in April 2018. Belle II features a newly designed silicon vertex detector based on double-sided strip layers and DEPFET pixel layers. A subset of the vertex detector was operated in 2018 to determine background conditions (Phase 2 operation). The collaboration completed full detector installation in January 2019, and the experiment started full data taking. This paper will report on the final arrangement of the silicon vertex detector part of Belle II with a focus on online monitoring of detector conditions and data quality, on the design and use of diagnostic and reference plots, and on integration with the software framework of Belle II. Data quality monitoring plots will be discussed with a focus on simulation and acquired cosmic and collision data.

Abstract: We present a new measurement of the Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa matrix element |Vcb| from B0→D*-l+νl decays, reconstructed with the full Belle data set of 711 fb−1 integrated luminosity. Two form factor parametrizations, originally conceived by the Caprini-Lellouch-Neubert (CLN) and the Boyd, Grinstein and Lebed (BGL) groups, are used to extract the product F(1)ηEW|Vcb| and the decay form factors, where F(1) is the normalization factor and ηEW is a small electroweak correction. In the CLN parametrization we find F(1)ηEW|Vcb|=(35.06±0.15±0.56)×10-3, ρ2=1.106±0.031±0.007, R1(1)=1.229±0.028±0.009, R2(1)=0.852±0.021±0.006. For the BGL parametrization we obtain F(1)ηEW|Vcb|=(34.93±0.23±0.59)×10-3, which is consistent with the world average when correcting for F(1)ηEW. The branching fraction of B0→D*-l+νl is measured to be B(B0→D*-l+νl)=(4.90±0.02±0.16)%. We also present a new test of lepton flavor universality violation in semileptonic B decays, B(B0→D*-e+ν)B(B0→D*-μ+ν)=1.01±0.01±0.03. The errors quoted correspond to the statistical and systematic uncertainties, respectively. This is the most precise measurement of F(1)ηEW|Vcb| and form factors to date and the first experimental study of the BGL form factor parametrization in an experimental measurement.

Abstract: Using data samples of e+e- collisions collected at the ϒ(1S), ϒ(2S), and ϒ(3S) resonances with the Belle detector, we search for the three-body decay of the Ω(2012) baryon to KπΞ. This decay is predicted to dominate for models describing the Ω(2012) as a KΞ(1530) molecule. No significant Ω(2012) signals are observed in the studied channels, and 90% credibility level upper limits on the ratios of the branching fractions relative to KΞ decay modes are obtained.

Abstract: We present the first measurements of the absolute branching fractions of $\Xi_c^+$ decays into $\Xi^- \pi^+ \pi^+$ and $p K^- \pi^+$ final states. Our analysis is based on a data set of $(772\pm 11)\times 10^{6}$ $B\bar{B}$ pairs collected at the $\Upsilon(4S)$ resonance with the Belle detector at the KEKB $e^+e^-$ collider. We measure the absolute branching fraction of $\bar{B}^{0} \to \bar{\Lambda}_{c}^{-} \Xi_{c}^{+}$ with the $\Xi_c^+$ recoiling against $\bar{\Lambda}_c^-$ in $\bar{B}^0$ decays resulting in ${\cal B}(\bar{B}^{0} \to \bar{\Lambda}_{c}^{-} \Xi_{c}^{+}) = [1.16 \pm 0.42(\rm stat.) \pm 0.15(\rm syst.)] \times 10^{-3}$. We then measure the product branching fractions ${\cal B}(\bar{B}^{0} \to \bar{\Lambda}_c^- \Xi_c^+){\cal B}(\Xi_c^+ \to \Xi^- \pi^+ \pi^+)$ and ${\cal B}(\bar{B}^{0} \to \bar{\Lambda}_c^- \Xi_c^+){\cal B}(\Xi_c^+ \to p K^- \pi^+)$. Dividing these product branching fractions by $\bar{B}^{0} \to \bar{\Lambda}_{c}^{-} \Xi_{c}^{+}$ yields: ${\cal B}(\Xi_c^+ \to \Xi^- \pi^+ \pi^+) = [2.86 \pm 1.21(\rm stat.) \pm 0.38(\rm syst.)]\%$ and ${\cal B}(\Xi_c^+ \to p K^- \pi^+)=[0.45 \pm 0.21(\rm stat.) \pm 0.07(\rm syst.)]\%$. Our result for ${\cal B}(\Xi_c^+ \to \Xi^- \pi^+ \pi^+)$ can be combined with $\Xi_c^+$ branching fractions measured relative to $\Xi_c^+ \to \Xi^- \pi^+ \pi^+$ to set the absolute scale for many $\Xi_c^+$ branching fractions.

Abstract: The Belle II experiment operates at the SuperKEKB $e^+ e^-$ energy-asymmetric collider on or near the $\Upsilon(4S)$ resonance energy. The Belle II experiment has completed the ``Phase 2'' run, in which the Belle II operation without the vertex detector system has been tested. The main focus of the Phase~2 run is on the search for new physics related with dark sector, axion-like particles, etc. with an intermediate luminosity on the way to reach the challenging target. To accomplish these physics goals of Phase~2, a new trigger menu for the single photon and low multiplicity events is essential. With the luminosity design goal, it is crucial to cope with a high trigger rate for data acquisition (DAQ). In this presentation, we describe the DAQ system of Belle II, focusing on the successful commissioning in Phase 2 and the performance of the system.

Abstract: We report measurements of the production cross sections of charged pions, kaons, and protons as a function of fractional energy, the event-shape variable called thrust, and the transverse momentum with respect to the thrust axis. These measurements access the transverse momenta created in the fragmentation process, which are of critical importance to the understanding of any transverse-momentum-dependent distribution and fragmentation functions. The low transverse-momentum part of the cross sections can be well described by Gaussians in transverse momentum as is generally assumed but the fractional-energy dependence is nontrivial and different hadron types have varying Gaussian widths. The width of these Gaussians decreases with thrust and shows an initially rising, then decreasing fractional-energy dependence. The widths for pions and kaons are comparable within uncertainties, while those for protons are significantly narrower. These single-hadron cross sections and Gaussian widths are obtained from a 558 fb-1 data sample collected at the ϒ(4S) resonance with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy e+e- collider.

Abstract: We report a search for the charmless baryonic decay $B^0\to p\bar{p}\pi^0$ with a data sample corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 711~$\rm fb^{-1}$ containing $(772\pm 10)\times 10^6$ $B^0\bar{B}^0$ pairs. The data was collected by the Belle experiment running on the $\Upsilon(4S)$ resonance at the KEKB $e^+e^-$ collider. We measure a branching fraction $\mathcal{B}(B^0\to p\bar{p}\pi^0)= (5.0\pm1.8\pm0.6 )\times 10^{-7}$, where the first uncertainty is statistical and the second is systematic. The signal has a significance of 3.1 standard deviations and constitutes the first evidence for this decay mode. We also search for the intermediate two-body decays $B^{0}\to\Delta^+\bar{p}$ and $B^0\to\bar{\Delta}^-p$, and set an upper limit on the branching fraction: $\mathcal{B}(B^0\to \Delta^+\bar{p})+\mathcal{B}(B^0\to\bar{\Delta}^-p)

31. Dark sector physics with Belle II

Abstract: The Belle II experiment will operate with SuperKEKB $e^+ e^-$ energy-asymmetric collider on or near the $\Upsilon (4S)$ resonance energy region, and aims at obtaining an integrated luminosity of $50 ~\rm ab^{-1}$, which is approximately 50 times that of KEKB. The Belle II detector is fully upgraded from the Belle detector for much higher luminosity and contains new trigger system for single photon and low multiplicity events. The new trigger system allows to search for new physics related with hidden portal or axion-like particles. We briefly review the existing dark sector studies by BaBar and Belle, and report on the status of Belle II studies of dark sector, in particular for vector and axion portals.

It is part of the Belle~II Analysis Software Framework. This allows the validation of the analysis software and the improvement of analyses based on the recorded Belle dataset using newly developed analysis tools.
