The aim of this studywas to determine characters that affect seed and hay yield, using simplecorrelation coefficients and path analysis. The study was conducted in BatıAkdeniz Agricultural Research Institute (BAARI), during 2014-2015 winter growingseasons for two years. The experiments were established in a randomized completeblock design with three replications and half of plots for fresh forage and theother half for seeds were harvested. In the study, days to 50% flowering, plantheight, fresh yield, hay yield, straw yield, biological yield, harvest index,number of pods per plant, number of seeds per pod, seed yield and 1000-seedweight were observed. According to results of the correlation analysis; ahighly significant and positive correlations (P, Bu çalışmanın amacı, mürdümük (Lathyrussativus L.) genotiplerinde kuru ot verimi ve tane verimine etki eden özellikler arasındaki ilişkilerin korelasyonve path analizi ile saptanmasıdır. Araştırma, Batı Akdeniz Tarımsal Araştırma Enstitüsü (BATEM)deneme alanlarında2014-2015 ekim sezonlarında ikiyıl süreyle, kışlık olarak tesadüf blokları deneme desenine göre üç tekrarlamalı olarak yürütülmüştür. Parsellerde %50 çiçeklenme gün sayısı, bitki boyu, yeşil ot verimi, kuru ot verimi,kes verimi, biyolojik verim, hasat indeksi, bitkide bakla sayısı, baklada tanesayısı, tohum verimi ve 1000 tane ağırlığı gözlemleri alınmıştır. Elde edilendeğerlerle yapılan korelasyon analizi sonucuna göre, kuru ot verimi ile yeşil ot verimi, kes verimi,biyolojik verim ve tane verimi arasında 0.01düzeyinde olumluilişki saptanmıştır. Path analizisonucuna göre ise, kuru ot verimiüzerinde en yüksek doğrudanetkisi bulunan özellikler yeşil ot verimi ve kes verimi olmuştur. Araştırma bulgularına göre; mürdümükte kuru ot verimini iyileştirmek için yapılacak ıslah çalışmalarında yeşil ot verimi ve kes verimi, tohum verimini arttırmak için yapılacakıslah çalışmalarında ise hasat indeksi ve biyolojik verim başlıca seleksiyon kriterleriolarak önerilebilir.

The aim of this study was to examine the feasibility of growing five annual forage legume crops in the rotation system with second crops in the province of Antalya. In addition the straw and seed yield of the crops were determined when planted in the fall season. Chicling vetch, field pea, fenugreek, persian clover and berseem were planted. The experiment was conducted in the years 1994-1996 with three replications. The flowering day, seed and straw yield, maturity time and harvesting date were determined. It was concluded that all the planted species were feasible in terms of seed and straw yield. The findings of the experiment also reveal that the planted species gave enough time for second. However, field pea, fenugreek and chicling vetch were found to be superior.

Bu calisma 2008-2013 yillari arasinda Bati Akdeniz Tarimsal Arastirma Enstitusunde yurutulmustur. Antalya dogal florasinda bulunan bazi yonca turleri tespit edilerek, tohum ornekleri toplanip, tohum cogaltma islemi amaciyla enstitu arazisine ekim yapilmistir. Uc yil sureyle toplanan yonca turunun tohumlari, koleksiyon bahcesine 2 m sira uzunlugu, 2 m sira arasi olacak ekilerek, materyalin cogaltimi saglanmis, iki yil belirlenen gozlemler alinmistir. Toplanan yonca ( Medicago spp.) turunde; ciceklenme gun sayisi, fizyolojik olum gun sayisi, cicek rengi, bitki boyu, bin tane agirligi, meyvede tane sayisi ve salkimda cicek sayisi gozlemleri alinmistir. Toplanan yonca turlerine ait gozlem degerlerine bakildiginda, ciceklenme gun sayisi turlere gore degismekte, en dusuk deger dikenli fici yoncasinda 120 gun olarak bulunurken, en yuksek deger dugmeli yoncada 167 gun olarak bulunmustur. Fizyolojik olum gun sayisi icin en dusuk deger kirpi yoncasinda 155 gun olarak bulunurken, en yuksek deger adi yabani yoncada 238 gun olarak belirlenmistir. 92 lokasyondan toplanan yoncada 8 farkli tur teshis edilmistir. Calisma sonucunda enstitu yem bitkileri gen havuzuna bundan sonraki islah calismalarinda kullanilmak uzere 92 yonca populasyonu kazandirilmistir.

Three different soybean [Glycine max(L.) Merr.] cultivars (A-3127, Derry, and Yemsoy) were evaluated for dry matter (DM) yield, plant components, and crop growth rate (CGR) at different row spacings and harvesting stages in 3 locations with Mediterranean- type climate in a split-split plot design with 3 replications in 2009 and 2010. In addition, crude protein (CP), crude protein yield (CPY), acid detergent fiber (ADF), neutral detergent fiber (NDF), total digestible nutrients (TDN), and relative feed value (RFV) of harvested forage soybeans were determined at the Bursa (Turkey) location. Increased row spacings significantly reduced DM yield at all locations. Combined over other main effects, the 25-cm row spacing produced 35% more DM yield than the 75-cm row spacing. Row spacings greatly affected DM yield at the R5 and particularly the R7 stage, but this effect was minimal at the R1 stage. The forage-type cultivar Derry produced significantly higher DM yield in all locations, particularly at the R5 and R7 stages. The constituent components of DM were similar at different row spacings of soybean cultivars. In general, the CGR decreased from 25-cm row spacing to 75-cm row spacing in all locations, and the CGR of the cultivars varied significantly according to harvest period, row spacing, and location. Derry had a significantly higher CGR than the other cultivars in the Antalya and Bursa locations. Quality characteristics of soybean forage were not significantly affected by row spacing and showed little effect by cultivar. Harvest stage significantly affected CP, ADF, NDF, TDN, and RFV concentrations of soybean forage. It was concluded that in Mediterranean environments forage-type soybeans (i.e. Derry) can be seeded in narrow rows (25 cm) at high plant population (100 kg ha–1) and offer the most DM yield when harvested at later R stages (e.g., R7) rather than at the early reproductive stage.
