One of the main goals of building design is indoor comfort, regardless of its use (residential, educational, institutional, etc…). However, to achieve indoor comfort, buildings require a significant amount of energy. In the last decades, designers and researchers have been studying new strategies to improve buildings’ energy efficiency, with the purpose of mitigating the negative environmental impact caused by heavy energy consumption. Green roofs have been one of the most investigated solutions because of the many thermal benefits they can offer, and amongst these, hydroponic green roofs gained momentum. This study aims to analyse the rooftop temperature reduction provided during the hot months by a hydroponic green roof, compared to a traditional roof slab and an extensive green roof, in order to assess the different performances of these systems. In situ experiments were conducted to collect surface temperature of the roof slab during summer, with and without the hydroponic system, in order to assess the potential temperature reduction, which subsequently affects the heat flow through the roof and therefore the indoor air temperature. The results show a significant decrease in the external surface temperature of the roof compared to the bare roof, but also slightly better performance compared to the extensive green roof. Despite first promising results, the knowledge on hydroponic green roofs performance remains limited and some drawbacks need to be assessed. For these reasons, further in situ testing should be carried out, under different climatic conditions and experimental setups.

In this paper is presented a new methodology based on Neural Network which, making use of the Bulge Testing able to reconstruct the three-dimensional dome of the bulge test and also to obtain the membrane stress and strain fields of the material under investigation.

Nell’ultimo ventennio le metodologie GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite System) sono state largamente impiegate per il monitoraggio di strutture ed infrastrutture dell’ingegneria civile. Il GPS, essendo in grado di fornire dei valori di spostamento assoluto con precisioni elevate (centimetriche e sub-centimetriche), risulta utile per controllare la posizione di parti di strutture o di impianti al fine della sicurezza degli stessi. Nel presente lavoro vengono riportati i risultati di test effettuati con metodologie satellitari applicate ai trasporti funiviari. Sono stati utilizzati ricevitori geodetici GPS+ GLONASS ad elevata frequenza di campionamento. I rilievi sono stati eseguiti in fase di esercizio senza l’interruzione del servizio stesso, con cabine sia cariche che scariche. Dall’elaborazione dei dati sono state ricostruite le configurazioni geometriche delle campate. E’ stato inoltre monitorato il movimento del veicolo a seguito di una serie di arresti d’emergenza. Tali misure costituiscono un elemento fondamentale per le verifiche di sicurezza e di comfort dell’impianto. I dati acquisiti sono stati elaborati in post-processing ed in tempo reale. Le precisioni ottenute in modalità cinematica sono dell’ordine del cm.

In questo lavoro si presentano i risultati di una prima serie di test effettuati sull'impianto funiviario Funifor di Ravascletto (UD) utilizzando strumentazione GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite System) geodetica doppia frequenza ed una stazione totale motorizzata, con lo scopo di verificare alcuni aspetti della normativa vigente che attualmente non vengono valutati ne' in fase di collaudo ne' durante l'esercizio. In particolare, e' stato ricostruito l'inviluppo della catenaria della funivia, per verificare la posizione della cabina, in ogni istante del suo tragitto e sono stati misurati gli spostamenti di un punto significativo della scarpa del traliccio centrale dovuti all'effetto di torsione al passaggio contemporaneo delle cabine lungo la linea.
