Abstract

The article presents a survey focused on analyzing the impact of Durbin Amendment, a provision of the Dodd-Frank Act which was released by the U.S. Federal Reserve on the business of merchants. The survey was conducted by the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond and Javelin Strategy and Research. Other topics discussed includes asymmetric merchant reactions, four-party schemes and prices or debit restrictions.
