Educational Robotics (ER) is an upcoming trend in education. It has been introduced in classrooms to improve the learning environment. It provides opportunities for young learners by promoting knowledge-building activities. STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) education is viewed as a catalyst to ensure a successful future in the context of real-world issues. ER is an innovative tool that can provide a roadmap for quality education. This study aims to investigate "What skill-set does ER (Educational Robotics) develop in young learners?", "How does robotics intervention affect young learners?", and "Whether Educational Robotics (ER) facilitates STEM education?". We systematically reviewed the literature on robotics and the importance of STEM, identifying the role of robotics in both formal and informal elementary and secondary classrooms, after-school programs, and summer camp activities. We used the PRISMA (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis) methodology to analyze 20 relevant articles. We searched articles by using keywords and the snowballing technique. The study of recent applications of ER suggests that it aids in a precise and flexible understanding of STEM concepts. This article presents the results of a research carried out in a rural area of Satu-Mare County, which aimed to identify the practices regarding work in family agricultural households of rural children in connection with their school education. Our study is an exploratory research on the involvement of rural children in household work, as well as of the meanings that parents give to family work and school education, taking into account their value systems, expectations, relationships with their families and other relevant factors. For the collection of quantitative data, we used a questionnaire based survey on a representative sample of children and their parents, while for the qualitative data semi-structured interviews were conducted with parents and focus group interview with teachers. The research results reveal that the involvement of children in the work of family households is considered by parents as a natural component of the family socialization of children, related to the need to acquire work skills characteristic of the rural way of life. Among parents there is a preoccupation for the balance between school education and household activities, with an emphasis on the relevance of practical education. Child labour can negatively affect school performance; however, rural life offers children valuable hands-on learning opportunities. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Based on fieldwork in Tinsukia district of Assam, this article examines the interplay of Ekal, ideology and education among the Adivasis in the tea gardens. The Ekal schools are one-teacher, informal schools operated by the Sangh Parivar in the underprivileged regions of India and Nepal. Considering the backward status of Adivasis in these tea gardens, the official narrative of the school is to reduce the literacy gap among the community, impart sanskar and empower them with entrepreneurial skills. I argue that Ekal's organisational structure and funding are corporate, and its conception of 'empowerment' is neoliberal. This works as an effective model for Hindutva as the Sangh seeks to bring popularly Christian-dominated tea gardens into its Hindutva fold. A range of stakeholder groups are involved with fostering Education for Sustainable Development (ESD). It is crucial that their views on the aims of ESD are aligned. This is a prerequisite for coordinated integration of ESD into the formal education system. However, research has not explored whether stakeholder groups have similar ideas about the aims and learning outcomes of ESD. This study investigates the differences and similarities in stakeholders' opinions on the sustainability key competencies students should develop. We conducted 15 interviews with German experts in ESD practice, policy, and science, analyzing the results deductively using Qualitative Content Analysis within the UNESCO framework of Key Competencies for Sustainability. An inductive approach was used to identify aspects and concepts of competence that went beyond this framework. Most of the competencies mentioned could be assigned to the UNESCO framework, but we identified the additional competency of participating at the political level as being important for ESD. The experts also identified several other concepts. The three stakeholder groups emphasized different competencies and concepts, probably due to their differing professional backgrounds. However, similarities predominated, and the experts largely agreed on which competencies should be developed. Structural difficulties with integrating ESD into the education system are therefore not likely to be the result of fundamental differences in perspective between the three stakeholder groups on the aims of ESD. However, their different frames of reference might lead to miscommunication and misunderstanding, which could impede integration. This aspect needs thorough examination in the future. Structural racism in Brazilian society penetrates institutions and has affected school education in childhood. In view of this, studies on racism and diversity by several authors (Souza, 2021; Munanga 2022; Mellino, 2019; Ribeiro, 2017; Abramowicz, 2013) are considered to problematize the ethnic-racial relations that are established in the school space. The objective, therefore, is to analyze scientific productions about childhood, racism and school education, seeking to identify issues/problems/solutions that involve the topic in everyday situations in schools. This is a state of knowledge survey (Morosini et al., 2021), using as its source the Oasisbr platform of the Brazilian Institute of Information, Science and Technology, using the descriptor composed of the triad: childhood, race and school education, which resulted in 48 articles, of which 19 articles were selected for analysis. It is noteworthy that two refer to racism in Colombia, some refer to the reality in Brazil, and 17 are about experiences of racism in Brazilian schools, mainly in early childhood education. It is concluded that the works indicate the need to build decolonizing and anti-racist pedagogical practices in schools.

Since 2018, the 'Superbugs' initiative at Cardiff University (United Kingdom) has been delivering projects that take a research-driven approach to public engagement, involving rigorous evaluation of the methodologies of delivery and the mechanics of communication. The overall aim of Superbugs is to raise awareness and improve public knowledge of microbiology, infection and antimicrobial resistance (AMR). In the present project, four postgraduate students were recruited to undertake research projects as part of their Master of Science (MSc) studies. After a period of literature appraisals, the students chose to focus on the topic of personal and food hygiene and were tasked with collecting information on effective strategies for educating young children. Taking advantage of a focus group of primary school teachers, the students then designed evidence-informed educational activities and the evaluation strategies by which the impact of these would be assessed. A pilot delivery of these activities was carried out in a community setting at a local public library, before final delivery as part of a school outreach workshop. The MSc students produced three new elements of educational material; a story book, a treasure hunt and an interactive card game, primarily built around the concepts of challenge and gamification. Feedback collected from primary school pupils aged 6-7 years old and teachers indicated that the activities developed were successful in both being engaging to young people and resulting in an improved knowledge on the chosen topics. Taken together, we present evidence that postgraduate research training, underpinned by active and service learning, represents a valid and effective way of delivering impactful public engagement. In turn, the experience holds benefit for the students not only in terms of their academic study and core scientific skills, but also their wider appreciation and confidence in being effective engagers and science communicators. The study sets out to explore comprehensive sides where gender identity can cause bullying among students in the arena of education. This study aims to quantify prevalence of bullying, assess psychological effects, rate the impact of bullying on the academic performance, and establishment of correlation to dropout rates. The data were collected through qualitative method. that included interviews with gender variant student's inception from everywhere. The results indicate the extremely high rates of bullying, which lead to serious mental health complications, the subsequent drop-in educational performance, and more frequent school exits that occur in the gender nonconforming students in comparison with their classmates. The proposal provided should be carried out such as anti-bullying policies that are complete in nature being created, implementation of school settings, which are nurturing and including in nature, mental health services being offered, and participation of parents & the community in the fight against bullying. These provisions are seen as essential amid various strategies and tactics that need to be put in place in provision of a safe and empowering the learning environment for gender nonconforming students to be taught (well) and achieve. United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 10 emphasises the need to ‘reduce inequality within and among countries.’ In line with this goal, this study focuses on the educational experiences of five rural migrant children from an urban village in China. Using the concept of hidden curriculum (HC), the study explores whether these children have encountered social exclusion in their schools. Through interviews and observations, the study shows that the HC is not easily discernible but subtly influences students, teachers, and parents, resulting in a certain degree of social exclusion within various educational facets. The aim of the study is to identify the educational effects of private lessons on school education in the Sultanate of Oman from the point of view of parents. The descriptive approach and the questionnaire were used as a tool to apply to a sample of )2673( males and females, representing Approximately 15% From a positive or negative point of view, according to what the study sample sees, as the study proved that most of the phrases on the educational effects axis fell in the large category of the scale, which is the category between (3.29 / 3.72), and this proves these effects, as came the phrase helping the student to understand and absorb the study materials ranked first with an arithmetic average of (3.72), and the phrase “the private teacher’s neglect of the students he teaches at school” came in the last place with an arithmetic mean of (3.29). Uzbekistan has not adopted robotics education as the school curriculum yet. However, several robotics learning centers have introduced robotics education in an informal setting. This research paper aims to highlight the essence of robotics education in Uzbekistan investigating the perception of parents and children to their full potential and identifying impediments to the process of implementing robotics in Uzbekistan. This research study involves primary and secondary research methods. A systematic literature review was conducted to examine the reflection of robotics education among primary and secondary school children. Official statistical data was gathered to prove the scope of demographics. Primary data was collected through the survey among parents whose children attended robotics classes. Ultimately, the authors have used empirical evidence to provide recommendations and solutions on how to implement robotics education effectively in Uzbekistan. Much emphasis has not been put on robotics education in Uzbekistan, despite reforms in the field of STEM education. Moreover, the condition (including teachers, lesson materials, classrooms, computers, and robotics kits) to implement robotics classes as more developed countries are doing has not been created properly, which hampers the introduction of robotics at schools. In addition, the majority of parents are not fully aware of the authentic value of robotics education in children's lives. Hence, Uzbek schools are lagging in the field of robotics. In Kerala, Malayalam is the mother tongue of most people. However, the dialects spoken by the primitive tribal communities in Kerala are numerous. Each tribal community has its language and literature. Different mother tongues are there in a school when different sections of children come to school. According to modern linguistic theory, this problem needs an essential solution. With the formation of the linguistic states, in the Malayalam speaking territory bordering other states (Tamil Nadu and Karnataka), the languages of these states is continued to be used. There are educational institutions for students belonging to the linguistic minority communities. These schools protect the right to learn and learn through minority languages. The situation in the Kasaragod district is a bit more complicated. There are officially Malayalam and Kannada medium schools in the district. But in Kasaragod, which is known as “saptha bhasha sangama bhoomi” -nationally recognized languages such as Tulu, Konkani, Marathi, Hindustani, and Byari, Havyaka, Arakannada, and other dialects are also used for communication. Tulu is a part of the unique culture of Kasaragod and the most spoken language after Malayalam. But there are currently no facilities available for children to learn in their mother tongue. They fail to make achievements in academics; they are not able to mingle with Malayalam or Kannada mother-tongue students, feel shy and less social with other children. There is gap between school and family culture, and there is lack of school resources in Tulu language. Lack of empowered teachers significantly block their learning. The prevailing situation is the denial of children's right to learn in their mother tongue. They have adjustment problems with others in the school, they feel depressed, feel shy, feel alienated, disappointed, depressed, etc. To overcome these situations the teacher can help them to do education activities, listen to music, talk with friends, etc. The different discourse languages of them can’t be utilised to pursue education and this pushes them into feelings of alienation and consequent dropouts. Further it results in learning backwardness too, as reflected in behavioural issues associated with altering into truants, withdrawal from classroom activities, absence of response to the questions and the directions of teachers, poor performance in examinations and process of evaluation, etc. So, helping them to follow learning in their respective mother tongue is essentially the responsibility of our educational system. Since school librarians play a key role in promoting academic integrity and copyright literacy in schools, they were chosen. An online survey was administered to school library professionals in 85 countries using a mixed methods approach, yielding 569 responses. The results revealed that many K-12 schools lack policies on academic integrity and copyright, and there is variability in the perceived value, implementation and teaching of these literacies. While most school library professionals reported teaching academic integrity and copyright literacy in their schools, implementing effective pedagogies remains challenging. Collaboration between school library professionals and teachers, along with the use of multimedia resources, were identified as potential strategies for practical education and instruction. The study highlights the need for greater attention to be given to these literacies in K-12 education and calls for the development of policies, necessary support and effective teaching methods to ensure students are knowledgeable and well-prepared for higher education.

The integration of artificial intelligence (AI) as a subject into K-12 education worldwide is still in its early stages and undoubtedly needs further investigation. There is limited effort on understanding policymakers, teachers and students’ viewpoints on AI learning within the school system. This study gathered the thoughts of key stakeholders, including policymakers, higher education and K-12 teachers, and students in Nigeria, to understand their conceptions, concerns, and dispositions, with the aim of aiding the implementation of AI in schools. We further explored the needs of the diverse stakeholders, how they can be supported and juxtaposed their views to identify their priorities and how their opinions combined could give a holistic approach to the effective implementation of AI education. This research employed a qualitative methodology using semi-structured interviews as the means of data collection. The thematic analysis of the interview data from the 21 participants indicates their conceptions, what they considered the priorities for including AI in the school system, concerns and support needed to implement AI in schools. The findings of this study contribute to the ongoing conversation on how to effectively integrate AI into school curriculum.

How can the leadership qualities of students be developed on a humanistic and democratic basis so that the next generation of citizens can continue the democratic development in Ukraine? This question is at the center of the presented article. The literature shows that a democratic leadership style has a positive impact on working atmosphere and coexistence if it is characterized by the skills of emotional intelligence such as teamwork and cooperation, conflict resolution and if a leader is characterized by active listening as a key strength based on a respectful attitude towards human rights and democracy. Leaders do this in order to achieve outcomes in the process of interpersonal interaction that are mutually beneficial to the social group. In order to underpin this foundation, the article goes on to discuss the concept of participation, a principle that forms the basis of democratic leadership and which must therefore be taken into account and placed at the center of the education of children and young people in formal and non-formal education. The literature makes it clear: democracy has no reason to exist without participation, but at the same time participation must be presented in a very differentiated way. A specially developed diagram illustrates that the transfer of power simultaneously means the assumption of responsibility by the person being led. The consequence for the school is that future leaders must have the opportunity to experience active participation experiences. This study investigates common features of a set of diverse schools' responses to the initial school lockdown period during the pandemic in 2020, with a focus on practices supporting learning, inclusion and wellbeing. It comprises a collective case study of four Australian schools that were selected based on their reputation for impactful support of students and teachers during the emergency remote teaching period. Methods included interviews and focus groups with school leaders, teachers and students. The schools had widely differing contexts, technology access and student needs. Despite these varied contexts, the findings provided important insights into common practices supporting effective remote teaching. Emerging principles of effective practice illuminate ways forward to mitigate the significant risks accompanying emergency remote teaching, and guide practices in a variety of school contexts. The basic purpose of the paper is to explore the issues and challenges faced by educational administrators, parents, students, and teachers concerning the effects of armed conflict on educational outcomes. It emphasizes the significance of peace education initiatives in Jammu and Kashmir a region enduring unrest for nearly three decades, profoundly affecting its educational sector. Employing a descriptive qualitative survey method, the study examines the experiences of different stakeholders of education and the factors influencing various stakeholders. The results indicate that academic stress emerges as a dominant risk factor leading to physical and psychological difficulties among the students. The research advocates for integrating peace education into the curriculum, creating a conducive learning environment to empower students in overcoming such challenges. Empirical findings strongly suggest that introducing peace education into the curriculum and peace education as a subject can be instrumental in addressing conflict-related issues. Schools operated mostly in online mode in the last two years because of the COVID-19 pandemic and many teachers are now using digital tools in physical classrooms after the reopening of schools. We conducted an experiment on how smartphones can be used to reinforce biology lessons of seventh standard students (mean age = 12.22 years) in a private school in India. Students of four sections were taught about respiration in human beings and other organisms following four different approaches. The first section of students was taught without using any digital tool, while the second, third and fourth sections were taught using YouTube videos, a tutorial app that provided study materials and quizzes for self-assessment, and an interactive app that displayed a three-dimensional model of an organ system from which students could learn interactively, respectively. The intervention lasted one month and its effectiveness was assessed by a post-test and collecting feedback from the students. The students of the third and fourth sections exhibited better lower-order thinking skills in the post-test, while the students of the second and fourth sections exhibited better higher-order thinking skills. Further, the students felt that they could easily use the tool they were taught with and learn details of the respiratory system from it. The students of the second and fourth sections typically found the diagrams and animation in the YouTube videos and the interactive app, respectively to be useful, while the students of the third section did not find the diagrams in the tutorial app to be of much use. We concluded that smartphone apps are attractive to children and their long-term teacher-guided use can help children to acquire useful knowledge and skills. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The National Education Policy (NPE) is a government policy initiated by India to promote education among the people of India. The strategy extends to primary schools in rural as well as urban India. Prime Minister Indira Gandhi promulgated the first NPE in 1968, Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi's second in 1986, and Prime Minister Narendra Modi's third in 2020, respectively. New Education Policy 2020 by the Ministry of Human Resource and Development (renamed: Ministry of Education) has been announced on 29 July 2020. The announcement began with Prakash Javadekar and Ramesh Pokhriyal 'Nishank' respectively, Ministers for Information and Broadcasting (I&B) and Human Resources Development (HRD).They were joined by Amit Khare and Anita Karwal, both Education Secretaries.In the wake of COVID-19 pandemic, the subsequent lockdown is responsible for a delayed academic session in the schools this year. Music‐intensive school program are one way of enhancing arts‐education in public schools. Elementary school students enrolled in a music‐intensive program are exposed to several stress factors that could contribute to development of music performance anxiety (MPA). This study aims to describe MPA manifestations as reported by 164 students from 9 to 12 years of age taking part in a music‐intensive school program, and to identify what may contribute to its development. Data were collected using a sociodemographic questionnaire, and the French version of the Music Performance Anxiety Inventory for Adolescents. Although it was expected that being involved in an intensive music program would bring students to report higher levels of MPA, results showed moderate levels of MPA. In addition, girls reported significatively more manifestations of MPA than boys. The MPA level also vary according to the origin of the registration in the program (child's request or parents' suggestion), and the cycle. Indeed, cycle 2 students reported significantly less MPA than cycle 3 students when the request to participate in the music‐intensive program came from the child. Findings provide useful key points that should be considered for both practitioners and researchers. Practitioner points: Manifestation of music performance anxiety (MPA) can be found among elementary music students. Preventive interventions must be considered.Girls and older students seem to be at greater risk of experiencing MPA.The origin of the registration should be considered to identify students who are more likely to manifest MPA and support them appropriately. In his 'Towards the Critique of Violence', Walter Benjamin introduces the concept of 'educative violence' as a contemporary manifestation of 'divine violence'. In this paper, we aim to interpret 'educative violence' by examining other instances where the young Benjamin addresses pedagogical issues. By connecting the concept of divine violence to Benjamin's ideas of education in tradition and of the schooling of Geist, our goal is twofold: firstly, to comprehend the productive role that violence may play in the pedagogical context, and secondly, to apply it to the conception of schooling presented by Jan Masschelein and Maarten Simons to highlight its relevance to school education. By linking scholastic violence to divine violence, we argue that schools must be defended not despite but because of the violence they inhere. In doing so, we contribute another layer to the defense of the school and offer fresh insights into Benjamin's notion of divine violence. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

With the advancement of technology, emerging technologies like Artificial Intelligence (AI) have also been growing rapidly and becoming more common than ever before. Kenya has taken tremendous steps in adopting the use of emerging technology in different sectors of the economy. In realization of the need to have a skilled digital workforce to develop solutions using these emerging technologies, Kenya has undertaken curriculum reforms and introduced the Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC) which has included digital literacy and coding in elementary school. Furthermore, computer science has been introduced in Junior Secondary School. In view of these changes, teachers should be adequately prepared with knowledge, skills, and attitudes to effectively teach these new technologies. However, in Kenya, AI was not and still is not part of the teacher training curriculum. Additionally, there are inadequate professional development opportunities in AI for both pre-service and in-service teachers since AI is not part of the CBC curriculum. That notwithstanding, it is inevitable for teachers in the current world to introduce AI to learners. Therefore, this study's objectives were to assess the confidence in AI, attitudes toward AI, AI ethics, subjective norms, perceived threats, and the readiness to teach AI among Kenyan K-12 in-service teachers and to assess how these factors influence their readiness to teach AI. To achieve these objectives, this study employed a quantitative research methodology by administering a survey using Google Forms to a random sample of 308 teachers from different grades from 37 out of 47 counties in Kenya. The findings showed that confidence in AI, AI ethics and subjective norms significantly influenced AI readiness while attitude towards AI and perceived threats did not significantly influence AI readiness. These results are significant in providing a basis for education policy change on AI education in Kenya, such as transforming the teacher training curriculum to include AI and designing AI professional development programs for in-service teachers to ensure they are well-equipped to teach AI.

The article examines the peculiarities of the formation of the image of the enemy in the schools of the Kyiv region in the first half of the 1930s. Based on the analysis of such textbooks as: social studies, world history, Ukrainian language and literature, the author traces the genesis of the image of the enemy from external to internal. Besides, the proposed work singles out the main categories on which Soviet propaganda focused, which tried to form in students a negative attitude towards the rich, landlords, “kurkuls”, clergymen, and all those who opposed the Bolshevik government. Despite the modest attention paid to the mentioned topic by foreign specialists, those works that directly affect our problems are singled out. The process of modification of negative connotations regarding the forces against which the Bolsheviks fought was traced. Thus, at the initial stage in the textbooks, the most criticism was directed at rich people, among whom large landowners stood out. Priests and monks, compared to the wealthy, were perceived not as “alien” but more negatively, as “enemy”. Peasants, to whom the term “turtle” was applied, were even more negatively perceived. In the future, the label “enemy” was applied to all those who waged a struggle against the Bolshevik government. In the mentioned context, the Ukrainian national forces, which were conducting armed competitions for their own state, were perceived as incomparable.

In the modern world, the concepts of a successful state and a successful person are very close to the notion of economic success. Despite the fact that economic success is not yet a guarantee of a successful state or a person, the reverse one is also true: without economic prosperity, a successful state cannot exist. The economic prosperity of states in the modern world is inextricably linked with the development of a free market economy based on entrepreneurship and innovations. Computers, cars, delicious coffee, supermarkets, and even the Internet are all the result of a cultural phenomenon that the author proposes to call "entrepreneurial culture". The article examines the significance of the concept “entrepreneurial culture” as a fundamental basis for developing modern views of the world and the prerequisites for the development of society. For this purpose, the concepts such as culture and entrepreneurship are analyzed, a definition of "entrepreneurial culture" is introduced. The author concludes that the development of entrepreneurial culture is important from the viewpoint of state development, the development of science, and the development of young people acquiring school education. The author examines the history of perceptions of entrepreneurial culture in Ukrainian society and analyzes contemporary views on entrepreneurial activity. The article also raises the questions: “What the teaching of entrepreneurship courses in the new Ukrainian school should be like?” and “Who should be involved in this?” As it is known, in 2017, the reform of Ukrainian school education began, which was named the New Ukrainian School. Among the competencies that learners will acquire, in addition to others, there is entrepreneurship and financial literacy. Therefore, the author asks whether the image of an entrepreneur in Ukrainian culture coincides with the image of a person that the learner dreams of becoming and whether they have an internal motivation to become entrepreneurs. Will they become future entrepreneurs due to acquired competencies if the attitude towards entrepreneurs that exists in our culture does not change?

In 2023, India surpassed China in terms of population, becoming the most populous country in the world. Many experts emphasize that India has a demographic dividend, which allows for high rates of economic growth. However, millions of young people enter India’s labor market each year, a significant portion of whom lack basic education and can only be engaged in low-skilled jobs. This situation affects the quality of life, working conditions, and overall socioeconomic situation in the country. The Government of N. Modi, along with other reforms relevant and timely for India, has developed a comprehensive transformation of basic and higher education in the country. The objective of the research is to identify the economic prerequisites, tasks, and methods for implementing the reform of the basic education system. It has been identified that despite the 2002 amendment to the Constitution and the Right to Education Act passed in 2006, many families do not send their children to school, and in other cases, some children do not complete their education. This is due to several reasons, including the remoteness of schools, difficulty in entrance and transfer exams, the need to help parents, among others. The new National Education Policy of 2020 aims to provide holistic early childhood and school education. The traditional structure of the education system has been changed: preschool education is now incorporated into the education system, allowing kindergarten graduates to transition smoothly into school. The traditional 10+2 model has been replaced with a 5+3+3+4 model. Regional languages are given special importance - education will be conducted in the mother tongue up to the fifth grade, and then students will also learn Hindi and English. Age-appropriate teaching methods are applied at each stage of education. In the final stage of schooling, students are given the freedom to choose disciplines based on their interests. Each stage of education aims to develop critical thinking, the ability to engage in discussions, and case analysis. Thus, the education system reform, if successfully implemented, aims to provide India’s economy with a higher quality workforce, regardless of whether the school graduate continues their education in college or enters the labor market after completing school.

This article presents educational experiences developed with indigenous peoples in the Brazilian Amazon, based on documentary research in dialogue with reports of teaching experiences of the first authors of this text. Thus, we propose to dialogue based on the following question: how is indigenous knowledge mobilized in the Amazonian school context? To this end, we established as a general objective to reflect on the way indigenous knowledge is conceived in the Amazonian school context, based on a dialogue with the reports of teaching experiences with indigenous school education. From this perspective, we understand that Indigenous School Education comprises formal educational actions offered under the supervision of the State to indigenous peoples, unlike indigenous education, which is carried out in the community through social coexistence, depending on the diverse perspectives of each indigenous people. We observed that although there are laws and public policies, conquered by indigenous collectives, that advocate a differentiated, bilingual, intercultural and community school education, as well as provide the conditions for its implementation, in practice this right is still a distant reality of many indigenous schools. To this end, it is necessary to open dialogue and epistemic exchanges that understand diverse knowledges in an equitable way. This premise confronts us with the challenge of the decolonization of knowledge, especially that conveyed in indigenous schools.

The concept of Digital Competences for Educators is very important within European educational policies. Recent definitions of DigCompEdu are provided in a scientifically sound framework describing what it means for educators to be digitally competent DigCompEdu: European Framework for the Digital Competence of Educators and in the EU DEAP (Digital Education Action Plan 2021-2027 Resetting Education and Training for the Digital Age) defined in Sep 2020. This paper presents the results of the OpenDigCompEdu Erasmus+ project to accelerate the digital competences of educators in school education from Spain, Romania, Croatia, Greece and Norway towards the sustainable adoption of more online and blended approaches in education through the use of open educational technologies and open education principles. The paper presents the development of 5 micro-courses, all related to the development of digital education competences and to be offered online and in a blended format in Moodle Academy.

Advances in visualisation techniques provide new ways for us to explore how we introduce complex topics like remote sensing to non-specialist audiences. Taking inspiration from the popularity of augmented reality (AR) apps, a free, mobile digital AR app titled SatelliteSkill5, has been developed for both Androids and iPhones in Unity AR. SatelliteSkill5 helps users conceptualise remote sensing (RS) theory and technology by showcasing the potential of datasets such as multispectral images, SAR backscatter, drone orthophotography, and bathymetric LIDAR for tackling real-world challenges, with examples tackling many of the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) as the focus. Leveraging tried and tested pedagogic practices such as active learning, game-based learning, and targeting cross-curricular topics, SatelliteSkill5 introduces users to many of the fundamental geospatial data themes identified by the UN as essential for meeting the SDGs, imparting users with a familiarity of concepts such as land cover, elevation, land parcels, bathymetry, and soil. The SatelliteSkill5 app was piloted in 12 Irish schools during 2021 and 2022 and with 861 students ranging from 12 to 18 years old. This research shows that both students and teachers value learning in an easy-to-use AR environment and that SDGs help users to better understand complex remote sensing theory. The present paper is a comparative examination of three European Commission (EC) countries' primary and elementary education curricula with the European Commission's Communication and its consequences for curriculum skills relating to children's lives as adults and workers. It is a documentary analysis of secondary sources of the texts of the curricula. It emphasizes on the aims and objectives concerning skills required to be cultivated in students through the education curricula of European countries of Greece, Finland, and Denmark, as economically developed countries according to the World Bank (2019). According to the European Commission's Communication "Rethinking Education: investing in skills for better socio-economic outcomes" (2012a), the European Commission's Communication "New Skills Agenda for Europe: Working together to strengthen human capital, employability and competitiveness" (2016) and the European Commission's Communication "Digital Education Action Plan 2021-2027 Resetting education and training for the digital age" (2020), they are compared with the curricula in terms of skills required for the labor market. The method that was used was the qualitative content analysis in the texts of the curricula based on the required skills. The results show that the texts of the curricula from Greece, Finland, and Denmark have common references with the aforementioned above European Commission's Communications. Regarding the content of the curricula, it is observed that the goals and aspirations are linked to the development of the personality and the cultivation of skills related to employability. The goal of the curricula is to cultivate skills in students that will be necessary for the children's lives as adults and workers. In the conclusions, it is stated that there is the intention and purpose of developing and cultivating skills based on the requirements of the labor market and the instrumentalization of these skills for the benefit of the economic framework not only for the researched countries but also on a wider scale. Teachers as implementers of the curriculum have a vital role in delivering (Casey et al., 2009) reflecting teaching approaches in physical education classes. Cooperative learning is a teaching approach that meets the curricular requirements in Germany as well as considers the increasing heterogeneity of students. However, there is limited research about strategies and practices, which teachers use to implement cooperative learning successfully in physical education. To bridge this gap, our study examines teachers’ perspectives on implementation strategies and application approaches of cooperative learning lessons. Semi-structured interviews were conducted with 20 German physical education teachers based on the principle of contrasting. The interviews were conducted from October to November 2022 as problem-related interviews, guided by a theory-based semi-structured guideline. We used qualitative content analysis to analyse the interview data. Analysis was expanded to identify different types of practicing cooperative learning in physical education. The findings reveal that teachers address and implement forms of cooperative learning quite heterogeneously. Teachers’ implementation strategies were bottom-up, top-down or hybrid. Reactions to difficulties were avoidance, flexibility, implementing rules, training social skills or restructuring. In addition, five different types of cooperative learning practices were determined (‘the avoider’, ‘the quitter’, ‘the student-centred’, ‘the theory-led’ and ‘the flexible one’). While ‘the avoider’ and ‘the quitter’ type teachers stopped using cooperative learning, the other types used this teaching approach often in their physical education classes. ‘The flexible one’ used the hybrid implementation of cooperative learning and reported the lowest difficulties. Our findings contribute to a better understanding of teachers’ strategies and practices to depict how cooperative learning processes in physical education are implemented. Findings can be used to further develop concepts for cooperative learning in physical education. The article reports on the dispossession of indigenous knowledge in the public education system in Mapuche territory in La Araucanía, a southern region in Chile. The methodology is qualitative, 18 people were interviewed including Mapuche wise men and women, fathers, and mothers who experienced schooling processes in their younger years. The information analysis technique is content analysis, to identify explicit and latent meanings related to the schools they attended and the Chilean education system. Mapuche wise people and parents were consulted on the pedagogical practices of dispossession of ancestral knowledge that have been institutionalized. Main results show that schools have transmitted a Western Eurocentric-based knowledge which results in the dispossession of their own episteme and in their transformation into ordinary Chilean citizens who are unaware of their language and culture as a central axis of their sociocultural identity. Main conclusions account for the historical processes of schooling in an indigenous context, highlighting the consequences that this monocultural education has brought to families, communities, and new generations of indigenous. This poses the challenge of transforming the school curriculum, to transmit their truth, to advance in justice, reparation, and to ensure the non-repetition of the epistemicide of indigenous knowledge in the school. This article examines the relationship between schooling and family education in shaping a positive mindset among students. It emphasizes the importance of both school and family environments in the growth process of students and their impact on mindset. The article discusses how school education influences mindset through the school environment, teaching methods, and curriculum, as well as how family education influences mindset through parents' educational philosophy, communication styles, and interaction patterns. It highlights the significance of cultivating a positive mindset and the role that both school and family play in achieving this goal. The article suggests that schools and families complement each other, providing students with a diverse and comprehensive growth environment. It also recommends building communication bridges, creating conducive environments and activities, and tailoring strategies to individual differences to foster a positive mindset. Although successful educational practices (SEPs) in higher education institutions have well-established student outcomes, the vast majority do not meet physical education standards in schools. Despite the promising nature of policy initiatives supporting schools, there is scant evidence of how these SEPs affect student outcomes. This review aimed to determine the status of the literature and the type of evidence regarding school SEPs. Several studies have demonstrated that these SEPs contribute directly or indirectly to improving student outcomes. Three objectives were examined and synthesized in our review of SEP research findings. The first goal is to identify different types of impacts on students in schools. The second goal is to provide educators, principals, and policymakers with a unified and comprehensive framework. Lastly, we provide suggestions for future SEP research. The review identified 45 studies that met our inclusion criteria. Our reviewed studies documented impacts on the individual level. It encompasses both students' instrumental abilities and their sense of self-esteem and motivation. Secondly, improving interpersonal relationships, reducing conflict, and increasing group cohesion are important components at the group level. Finally, there are factors at the community level, including absenteeism reduction, parental involvement, and changes in attitudes toward school. Current research supports the effectiveness of successful school practices. It stresses the importance of implementing policies to maximize student outcomes. This paper explores how educational commons, in which education and learning are shaped by the members of the educational community in terms of equality, freedom, and creative participation, contribute to addressing inequalities, empowering democracy, and enhancing inclusion. The discussion focuses on the crucial debate around public formal education and the potential for radical democratisation it offers through three case studies carried out in formal and non-formal educational settings in Thessaloniki, Greece. The research was conducted in three different types of education centres: a public kindergarten, a self-organised autonomous libertarian educational community, and an after-school programme of a primary school where Workshops for Nurturing and Developing Environmental Resilience (WONDER) were implemented by the environmental organisation Mamagea. Through patterns of commoning practices, like peer governance, co-creation of knowledge, and peer learning, the case studies aimed to establish the prerequisites for the co-creation of a community that offers pupils and students, teachers, and educators the chance for self-formation and equal participation. The article makes the case that educational hierarchies and governance models can be reconfigured in order to incorporate the democratic values of solidarity, equality, self-organisation, and self-formation even in structures that are still tailored to formal schooling. The article argues that educational commons can make a decisive contribution to tackling inequalities, and the commons logic can grow effectively in school education under specific conditions.
