Depremler, insan hayatına dolaylı veya doğrudan etki eden doğal afetlerdir. Son yıllarda meydana gelen depremlerin olumsuz etkilerinden dolayı betonarme yapıların performansa dayalı tasarımı giderek önem kazanmıştır. Güncel deprem yönetmeliklerinde, kuvvet esasına dayanan yöntemler yerine, şekil değiştirmeye göre tasarım kullanılmaya başlanmıştır. Betonarme yapıların doğru tasarlanabilmesi için betonarme elemanların doğru anlaşılması gerekir. Eleman davranışları ise kesit davranışlarının tespit edilmesine bağlıdır. Çalışma kapsamında kolon kesitlerin davranışı, malzemelerin doğrusal olmayan davranışı göz önüne alınarak moment-eğrilik ilişkilerinden elde edilmiştir. Betonarme kolonların farklı eksenel yük seviyeleri için moment eğrilik ilişkileri, Türkiye Bina Deprem Yönetmeliği (TBDY-2018) beton modeli dikkate alınarak elde edilmiştir. Değişen parametrelerin kolon davranışı üzerindeki etkisi etkin kesit rijitliği açısından değerlendirilmiştir. Bu çalışmada, 3, 5, 7 ve 10 katlı betonarme konut tipi yapılar incelenmiştir. Şekil değiştirme esasına dayanan yöntemlerden biri olan doğrusal olmayan statik itme analizi yöntemi, TBDY-2018 esasları dikkate alınarak uygulanmıştır. Kolon ve kirişlerin doğrusal olmayan malzeme davranışları, kesit tasarımları ve plastik mafsal özelliklerinin hesabı XTRACT programıyla yapılmıştır. XTRACT programından elde edilen bu bilgiler, SAP2000 programında tanımlanmıştır. Bina modelleri ve analizleri SAP2000 sonlu elemanlar programıyla yapılmıştır. Yapılan analizler sonucu tasarlanan betonarme kolon kesitlerde, kat adedi değişimiyle kolon elemanların etkin kesit rijitliklerindeki değişimler incelenmiştir. Ayrıca kat adedi değişiminin statik itme analizi sonucu oluşan taban kesme kuvveti-tepe yer değiştirmesi arasındaki ilişkisi değerlendirilmiştir. Earthquakes are natural disasters that directly or indirectly affect human life. Performance-based design of reinforced concrete structures has become increasingly important due to the negative effects of earthquakes in recent years. In current earthquake regulations, instead of force-based methods, deformation-based design has started to be used. Reinforced concrete elements must be understood correctly in order to design reinforced concrete structures correctly. The element behaviors depend on the determination of the section behaviors. Within the scope of the study, the behavior of the column sections was obtained from the moment-curvature relations considering the non-linear behavior of the materials. Moment curvature relations of reinforced concrete columns for different axial load levels were obtained by considering the Turkish Building Earthquake Code (TBEC 2018) concrete model. The effect of changing parameters on column behavior was evaluated in terms of effective section stiffness. In this study, reinforced concrete type buildings with 3, 5, 7 and 10 floors were examined. Nonlinear static pushover analysis method, which is one of the methods based on shape change, was applied by taking into account the principles of the Turkey Building Earthquake Regulation (TBEC 2018). Nonlinear material behavior of columns and beams, section designs and calculation of plastic hinge properties were made with XTRACT program. This information obtained from XTRACT program was defined in the SAP2000 program. Building models and analyzes were made with the SAP2000 structure and analysis program. As a result of the analysis, the change in the effective section stiffness of the structural system elements with the increase in the number of floors in reinforced concrete buildings was examined. In addition, the relationship between the base shear force and top displacement resulting from the static pushover analysis of the number of floors change was investigated. Static pushover analysis showed that the ratio of the base shear forces to the weights of the buildings (Vt/W) decreased as the number of floors of the building increased. As the total height of the building, that is, the number of floors, increased, the top displacement values corresponding to the performance point increased.

Masonrystructures are commonly used in many countries. Load bearing masonry walls are the most important structural element in the masonry structures. In this study, a computer program waswritten inMATLAB forlinear elastic analyses of masonry walls. Inaddition, a meshprogram whichmeshes the wall as two dimensional model was written in MATLAB. Thesemodels were constituted with macro modelling approach. Three different load cases were applied to twodimensional masonry model with opening. Theobtained results from thelinear elastic analysis were compared with ANSYS software results.

Tarihi köprüler diğer tarihi yapılar gibi ülkeler için kültür mirasının önemli parçalarıdır. Ülkemizde de çeşitli medeniyetlere ait çok sayıda tarihi köprü bulunmaktadır. Köprülerin esas görevi iki yer arasındaki açıklığı aşarak ulaşımı kolaylaştırmaktır. Köprüler insanoğlunun işlerini kolaylaştırma, daha hızlı hareket etme, bulunduğu coğrafyada hayatta kalabilmenin önemli bir parçasıdır. Tarihi köprüler geçmişle günümüz arasında yaşamış olan medeniyetlerin sosyolojik, ekonomik ve kültürel yapılarını anlamamıza da yardımcı olmaktadır. Tarihi köprüler gerek doğa olayları gerekse insani faktörlerden dolayı deformasyona uğramış ve bir kısmı yıkılmıştır. Ülkemizin büyük bir bölümünün deprem riski yüksek bir bölgede olduğu düşünülürse bu köprülerin depremler karşısında göstereceği davranışın bilinmesi son derece önemlidir. Bu nedenle yapıların nümerik ve deneysel çalışmalarla dinamik davranışları incelenmekte, geçmiş depremlerden elde edilen veya yapay deprem ivme kayıtları kullanılarak deprem analizleri yapılmaktadır. Bu doğrultuda yapıların zayıf yönlerinin güçlendirilmesi amaçlanmıştır. Tarihi yığma köprüler tarihi yapıların bir bölümünü oluşturmaktadır. Yığma yapılarda birbirinden farklı özellikteki malzemelerin bir arada olması nedeniyle yapının nümerik analizi güçleşmektedir. Bu yüzden günümüze ulaşmış tarihi yığma köprülerin gelecek nesillere aktarılması amacıyla restorasyonlarının özenle yapılması ve korunması için deprem karşısında oluşabilecek davranışlarının gerçeğe yakın bir şekilde değerlendirilmesi gerekir. Bu tez çalışmasında, Erzurum ili Aşkale ilçesinde bulunan tarihi Sultan Hamit I-II ve III köprüleri nümerik uygulama olarak dikkate alınmıştır. Bu köprüler SAP2000 sonlu elemanlar programı kullanılarak üç boyutlu olarak modellenmiştir. İlk olarak köprülerin kendi ağırlığı altında statik analizleri yapılmıştır. Daha sonra köprülerin modal analizleri yapılarak dinamik karakteristikleri belirlenmiştir. Köprülerin dinamik karakteristikleri belirlendikten sonra sismik açıdan değerlendirilmelerinin yapılabilmesi için zaman tanım alanında dinamik analizleri gerçekleştirilmiştir. Dinamik analizlerde 1992 Erzincan ve 2020 Elazığ depremlerinin ivme kayıtları kullanılmıştır. Dinamik analizler sonucunda köprülerde oluşan gerilme ve yer değiştirme değerleri sunulmuştur. Historical bridges, like other historical structures, are important parts of cultural heritage for countries. There are many historical bridges belonging to various civilizations in our country. The main task of bridges is to facilitate transportation by crossing the gap between two places. Bridges are an important part of facilitating the work of human beings, moving faster and surviving in their geography. Historical bridges also help us to understand the sociological, economic and cultural structures of civilizations that have lived between the past and the present. Historical bridges have been deformed and some of them have been destroyed due to natural events and human factors. Because of a large part of our country is in a region with high earthquake risk, it is extremely important to know the behavior of these bridges response to earthquakes. For this reason, the dynamic behavior of the structures is examined with numerical and experimental studies, and earthquake analyzes are made using earthquake acceleration records obtained from past earthquakes or artificial earthquakes. In this direction, it is aimed to strengthen the weak aspects of the structures. Historical masonry bridges consist of a part of the historical structures. Due to the combination of materials with different properties in masonry structures, the numerical analysis of the structure becomes difficult. For this reason, in order to carry out the restoration and protection of historical masonry bridges that have survived to the next generation, it is necessary to evaluate their behavior response to earthquakes. In this thesis, the historical Sultan Hamit I-II and III bridges in the Aşkale district of Erzurum province were taken into consideration as a numerical application. These bridges were modeled in three dimensions using the SAP2000 finite element program. First, static analyzes of the bridges under their own weight were made. Then, the dynamic characteristics of the bridges were determined by making modal analyzes. After the dynamic characteristics of the bridges were determined, dynamic analyzes were carried out in the time history in order to evaluate them for earthquake response. Acceleration records of 1992 Erzincan and 2020 Elazıg earthquakes were used in dynamic analyses. As a result of dynamic analysis, the stress and displacement values of the bridges were presented.

Tarihi köprüler, kültürel mirasımızın önemli yapı eserlerindendir. Dünyada farklı dönemlerde inşa edilmiş, yapıldığı kültür ve medeniyetten izler taşıyan, birçok tarihi yığma köprü mevcuttur. Bu köprülerin bir kısmı, beşeri faktörlerden ve tabiat olaylarından (deprem, sel, rüzgâr vb.) etkilenerek zamanla mukavemetlerini kaybetmiş ve yok olmuştur. Deprem kuşağı üzerinde bulunan köprüler sürekli olarak sismik etkiye maruz kalırlar. Bu yüzden günümüze kadar gelmeyi başarmış tarihi yığma kemer köprülerin korunması ve restorasyonlarının uygun bir şekilde yapılabilmesi için deprem karşısındaki tepkilerinin doğru bir şekilde değerlendirilmesi gerekir. Bu tez çalışmasında, deprem ivme kayıtlarının faklı sönüm oranları kullanılarak tarihi köprülerin davranışına olan etkisinin belirlenmesi ve tarihi köprülerin deprem karşısındaki davranışlarına daha güvenilir sonuçlarla karar verebilmek amaçlanmıştır. Sayısal uygulama için Tunceli ilinin Çemişgezek ilçesinde bulunan tarihi yığma Tağar Köprüsü seçilmiştir. Köprünün sonlu elemanlar yöntemiyle üç boyutlu modeli oluşturulmuştur. SAP2000 sonlu eleman paket programı yardımıyla modal analizleri yapılıp, köprünün dinamik karakteristikleri elde edilmiştir. Daha sonra %2, %5, %7 ve %10 sönüm oranları için zaman tanım alanında dinamik analizleri yapılmıştır. Bu analizlerde sismik etki olarak 15.03.1992 Tunceli depreminin ivme kayıtları dikkate alınmıştır. Analizler sonucunda köprüde meydana gelen yer değiştirme ve gerilme grafikleri tespit edilerek farklı sönüm oranlarının tarihi yığma köprülerin sismik tepkilerine olan etkisi incelenerek değerlendirilmiştir. Yapılan analizler sonucunda tarihi köprüde meydana gelen maksimum yerdeğiştirmeler ve gerilmeler sırasıyla Rayleigh, kütle orantılı ve rijitlik orantılı sönüm tipi için elde edilmiştir. Bütün sönüm tipleri için sönüm oranı arttıkça köprüde oluşan yerdeğiştirme ve gerilme değerlerinin azaldığı gözlemlenmiştir. Ayrıca en büyük yer değiştirme değeri rijitlik orantılı sönüm tipinde en küçük yer değiştirme değeri ise Rayleigh sönüm tipinde elde edilmiştir. Dinamik analizler sonucunda köprüde meydana gelen gerilme değerleri her üç sönüm tipi için birbirlerine yakın olmakla beraber en düşük gerilme değerleri Rayleigh tipi sönümde, en yüksek gerilme değerleri ise rijitlik orantılı sönüm tipinde elde edilmiştir. Historical bridges are important structures of our cultural heritage. There are many historical masonry bridges built in different periods in the World, bearing traces from culture and civilization in which they were built. Some of these bridges lost their strength and destroyed over time due to the effect of human factor and natural events (earthquakes, floods, winds, etc.). The bridges over the earthquake region are constantly exposed to seismic effects. Therefore, earthquake responses of the historical masonry arch bridges that have survived to present-day need to evaluate correctly to restore and protect them properly. In this thesis, earthquake acceleration record which has different damping ratio is investigated on behavior of historical masonry bridges. It is also aimed to obtain more reliable results for the earthquake responses of historical bridges. For numerical analysis, historical masonry Tağar Bridge which located in Çemişgezek town of Tunceli is selected. Three dimensional finite element model of the bridge is generated with finite element method. Dynamic properties of the bridge are obtained by the modal analysis which performed in SAP2000 finite element software. Time-history analyses are performed for %2, %5, %7 and %10 damping ratios. In these analyses, acceleration records of 1992 Tunceli earthquake is used as a seismic effect. As a result of the analyses, the effect of different damping ratios on seismic responses of historical masonry bridges is investigated by using time-history graphs of displacement and stress observed on the bridge.According to the analyses, the maximum displacements and stresses occurring in the historical bridge are obtained for Rayleigh, mass proportional and stiffness proportional damping type, respectively. For all damping types, it is observed that the displacement and stress values acquired in the bridge decrease while the damping ratio increases. Maximum and minimum displacement values are obtained at the stiffness proportional damping type and the Rayleigh damping type, respectively. The stress values occurring on the bridge are close to each other for all three damping types. However, the minimum stress values are obtained in Rayleigh type damping and the maximum stress values are obtained in stiffness proportional damping type. 87

Baraj; su toplama, sulama, içmesuyu ve elektrik üretmek amacı ile bir vadinin iki yakası arasına değişik tip ve malzemeden inşa edilen su yapısıdır. Bu çalışmada, Sivas ili Şarkışla ilçesinde yapımı tamamlanmış Kanak Barajının sonlu elemanlar modeli oluşturularak şev stabilitesi, oturmaları, sızma miktarı ve sızma hatlarının durumları ile iki farklı deprem altında lineer dinamik analizleri sonlu elemanlar yöntemini kullanan bilgisayar programı yardımıyla elde edilmiştir. Analizlerden elde edilen oturma ve sızma miktarı değerleri Devlet Su İşleri 19. Bölge Müdürlüğünden temin edilen ve Kanak Barajında kullanılan ölçüm aletlerinin sonuçlarıyla karşılaştırılmıştır. Sızma analizi için baraj rezervuarının maksimum su seviyesinde olduğu kabul edilmiştir. Dinamik analizler için 1992 Erzincan ve 2003 Bingöl depreminin ivme kayıtları kullanılmıştır. A dam is a water structure, which is constructed between the two sides of a valley in varios types and by various materials, in order to provide water collection, irrigation, drinking water and electricity production. In this study, the finite element model of Kanak Dam, which construction is completed in Şarkışla district of the city of Sivas, was formed and analyses of slope stability, settlements, seepage amount and seepage lines along with linear dynamic analyses under two different earthquakes were conducted by the help of a software using the finite element method. The values of settlement and seepage obtained from the analyses were compared with the results of the measurement instruments used in the Kanak Dam, which were obtained from the 19th Regional Directorate of State Hydraulic Work. The dam reservoir was regarded to be at the maximum water level for seepage analysis. For dynamic analyses, the acceleration records of 1992 Erzincan and 2003 Bingöl earthquake were used. 125

Bu tez çalışmasında, The Pacific Earthquake Engineering Research Center (PEER) ve Afet ve Acil Durum Başkanlığı (AFAD)' ndan alınan farklı karakteristikteki yakın ve uzak fay hareketlerinin, tarihi taş kemer köprülerin dinamik tepkisine ve deprem hasarlarına olan etkisinin karşılaştırılması amaçlanmıştır. Analizlerde kullanılmak üzere 4 farklı depreme ait yakın ve uzak-fay güçlü yer hareketi karakteristiklerini temsil eden deprem kayıtları seçilmiştir. Sayısal uygulama örneği olarak Diyarbakır ili Ergani ilçesindeki Tarihi Kalender Köprüsü seçilmiştir. Köprü üç boyutlu sonlu elemanlar metodu ile modellenmiştir. Köprüye ait deprem tepkileri zaman tanım alanında analiz yöntemiyle sonlu elemanlar paket programı kullanılarak belirlenmiştir. Analizlerde Rayleigh sönüm oranı %5 olarak alınmıştır. Analizler sonucunda köprü açıklığında meydana gelen yer değiştirmeler, zamana bağlı maksimum yer değiştirmeler, maksimum ve minimum asal gerilmeler ve gerilmelerin dağılımı karşılaştırılmıştır. Sonuç olarak, tarihi yığma köprülerin üç boyutlu dinamik analizlerinde yakın ve uzak-fay hareketlerinin seçilen deprem kayıtları için birbirine yakın sonuçlar verdiği ve uzak-fay hareketlerinin de yakın-fay hareketleri kadar önemli olduğu söylenebilir. Yapılacak analizlerde daha sağlıklı sonuçlar elde edebilmek için uzak-fay yer hareketlerinin de dikkate alınması gerektiği sonucuna varılmıştır. The aim of this thesis was to compare the effects of near and far-fault ground motions on the dynamic response of the historical stone arch bridge and the earthquake damage. The earthaquake datas were taken from the Pacific Earthquake Engineering Research Center (PEER) and Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency (AFAD). Fort he numerical analyses, four diffrent earthquake records were used which represent the near and far-fault ground motion charesteristic. In the case of numerical application, The Historical Kalender Bridge in the Maden town of Elâzığ province was chosen. The bridge was modelled with three dimensional finite element method. The earthquake response of the bridge was determined by using the finite element packet program in the time history analysis method. Rayleigh damping ratio was taken as %5. As a result of the analyzes, the displacements, the maximum and minimum principal stresses and the distribution of stresses occurring on the bridge were compared. Generally, results obtained from near-fault records are larger than the far-fault ground motion records. However, the responses obtained from some far- fault ground motion earthquake records were found to be larger than the near-fault ground motion records. Therefore, the dynamic analysis of historical masonry arch bridges should also take into account far-fault ground motion records. 77

Bu çalışmada, dolgu duvarların betonarme yapı sistemine olan katkısını belirlemek amaçlanmıştır. Bunun için 3 katlı, 5 katlı ve 7 katlı betonarme yapılar modellenmiştir. Bu modeller kendi içinde üç farklı şekilde yeniden tasarlanmıştır. Birinci model tüm katlarının, tamamen dolgu duvarsız olduğu çerçeve modelidir. İkinci model ilk katında dolgu duvarların olmadığı, diğer katlarında ise dolgu duvarların olduğu çerçeve modelidir. Üçüncü model ise tüm katlarında dolgu duvarların olduğu modeldir. Bu şekilde dokuz farklı yapı modellenmiştir. Bu modellerin tümü, her iki yönde iki açıklığa sahip olup, TS500 ve Türk Deprem Yönetmeliği 2007'de esas alınarak tasarlanmış ve SAP2000 programı kullanılarak üç boyutlu şekilde modellemesi yapılmıştır. Dolgu duvarlı olarak tasarlanan modellerde, dolgu duvarlar eşdeğer basınç çubuğu şeklinde tanımlanmıştır. Tüm modeller için doğrusal elastik hesap yöntemi kullanılarak analizler yapılmıştır. Analiz sonucunda yapıların göreli kat ötelemeleri, yer değiştirme değerleri belirlenmiş ve tüm modeller için ayrı ayrı kıyaslama yapılarak grafikler çizilmiştir. Elde edilen sonuçlara göre de dolgu duvarların sistemin rijitliğini ve dayanımını değiştirdiği görülmüştür. Bu doğrultuda, yapının performansının belirlenmesinde dolgu duvarların dikkate alınması gerektiği belirlenmiştir. In this study, we aimed to determine the contribution to the reinforced concrete structure of the infill walls. For numerical application, three-storeys five-storeys and seven-story concrete structures were modeled in order to determine the contribution to the building system of infill walls. These models has been redesigned in three different type in itself. The first model is the frame model without completely infill walls of all story. The second model is the frame model which is absence of infill walls on the first floor and have infill walls on other floors. The third model is the frame model having infill walls on all floors. Nine different structures have modeled in this study. The scope of this study, the building models which has two apertures in both directions was modeled as three dimensions by using a computer program called SAP2000 on the basis of TS500 and Turkish Seismic Code, 2007. The infill walls were defined as the equivalent compression strut in the model which is designed as bare frame and infill walls. Linear analysis method was used for analyses of the models. For this purpose, the structure of interstory drifts, displacement values were determined and made separate comparisons were drawn graphics for all models. According to these results, infill walls have changed the rigidity and strength of the system. In this regard, it was determined that the infill walls must be considered in the determining of performance of structure. 75
