Airfoil(kanat), daha düşük sürükleme ile yeterli miktarda taşıma üreterek uçağı havada tutan ve herhangi bir hava aracında önemli bir rol oynayan aerodinamik gövdedir. Kanat yapısının gelişimi boyunca kanatta maksimum taşıma üretebilmek için kanadın alt yüzeyindeki yüksek basınç ve üst yüzeyindeki düşük basınç kavramları ile ilgilenilmiştir. Ve bu kavramlar kanat profilinin alt yüzeyindeki hava hızının düşük, üst yüzeyindeki hava hızının yüksek olacağını göstermektedir. İstenen aerodinamik özelliklere sahip kanat profili şeklinin tasarımı bugüne kadar zorluklar çıkarmıştır. Havacılığın ilk yıllarında kanat tasarımları rastgele hazırlanmış ve akış alanında/bölümünde test edilmiştir, sonrasında ise Wright kardeşler kambura sahip profil kullanmışlardır. Günümüzde, NACA ise rastgele değil, formüller kullanarak airfoil üretmemize yardımcı olan uygun bir tanımlama yapmıştır. CFD yöntemi sıvının gerçek zamanlı davranışını dikkate alarak simülasyon gerçekleştirmek için kullanılan güçlü bir araçtır. Bu makalenin amacı, ANSYS Fluent kullanılarak AG35, NACA 4412, NACA 23012 ve TL54 kanat profilleri etrafındaki dış akışın simüle edilmiş bir modelini üretmek ve literatürden elde edilen deneysel verilerin ışığında düşük bir hız da (22,22 m/s) test edilerek doğrulamaktır. İki boyutta oluşturulan geometriler, seçilen kanat profiliyle 3 boyutta tasarlanmıştır. Kanat profillerini analiz etme yöntemi olarak hesaplamalı akışkanlar dinamiği (CFD) seçilmiştir. 0 ila 20 derece arası hücum açılarında geliştirilen kanat profilleri, gerçek rüzgâr tüneli boyutuna eşdeğer hesaplama bölgesinde, denklemler ise RNG k-Epsilon türbülans modeli ile çözülmüştür. Izgara oluşturma süreci Ansys Mesher ile, çözüm adımı ve sonuç görüntüleme işlemleri CFD Post programı ile gerçekleştirilmiştir. Düşük hız ve yüksek taşımaya sahip kanat profillerinin analizi, sürükleme katsayısı, kaldırma katsayısı ve kaldırma-sürükleme oranı üzerindeki etkisi sayısal yöntem ile araştırılmıştır. NACA 4412 profili için maksimum verimlilik elde edilmiştir.

An aerodynamic technique to calculating lift and drag coefficients is one of the required instruments in the wing design process. During the last decades, several tools and software have been developed according to aero-dynamics and numerical methods. Nowadays, aeronautical architecture requires many calculations. Today’s techno-logists use a variety of simulation techniques to avoid a expensive model testing. This paper explains how wing profiles can be modelled using ANSYS Fluent and tested by low-speed tests considering experimental literature re-sults. With the selected wing profile, the geometry is shaped in two dimensions and designed in three dimensions. Computational fluid dynamics (CFD) was adopted as the method for studying wing profiles. Wing profiles created at 0 to 20-degree attack angles are calculated in the simulation area equal to the actual wind tunnel scale, and equations are solved using the RNG k-Epsilon turbulence model. The process of developing the grids was realized with Ansys Mesher software. The solution stage and the result show operations were carried out with the CFD Post software. The study of the low velocity and high transport wing profiles, the drag coefficient, the lift coefficient, and the effect on the lift-drag ratio were studied using a numerical procedure. After determining the high efficiency of wing profi-les, production of a selected profile began with a static examination.

Multilevel inverters (MLI) are popular in high-power applications. MLIs are generally configured to have switches reduced by switching techniques that eliminate low-order harmonics. The selective harmonic elimination (SHE) method, which significantly reduces the number of switching, determines the optimal switching moments to obtain the desired output voltage and eliminates the desired harmonic components. To solve the SHE problem, classical methods are primarily employed. The disadvantages of such methods are the high probability of trapping in locally optimal solutions and their dependence on initial controlling parameters. One solution to overcome this problem is the use of metaheuristic algorithms. In this study, firstly, 22 metaheuristic algorithms with different sources of inspiration were used to solve the SHE problem at different levels of MLIs, and their performances were extensively analyzed. To reveal the method that offers the best solution, these algorithms were first applied to an 11-level MLI circuit, and six methods were determined as a result of the performance analysis. As a result of the evaluation, the outstanding methods were SPBO, BMO, GA, GWO, MFO, and SPSA. As a result of the application of superior methods to 7-, 11-, 15-, and 19-level MLIs according to the IEEE 519—2014 standard, it has been shown that BMO outperforms in 7-level MLI, GA in 11-level MLI, and SPBO in 15- and 19-level MLIs in terms of THD, while in terms of output voltage quality, GA in 7-level MLI, BMO in 11-level MLI, GA and SPSA in 15-level MLI, and SPSA in 19-level MLI come forward.

Gunumuzde 3 boyutlu (3D) yazicilarla parca uretimi giderek artan oranda kullanilan bir yontem haline gelmektedir. 3D yazicilarla uretilen parcalarda hammadde olarak polilaktik asit (PLA) filamantler kullanilmaktadir. PLA malzemeden uretilmis parcalarin servis sartlari altinda yuzey cizilmelerine dayanimi dusuk olabilmektedir. 3D yazicilarla uretilmis parcalarin yuzey cizilmelerine dayanimini artirmak amaciyla bu calismada uretilen silindirik parcanin yuzeyi uc farkli toz ve epoksi recine kullanilarak kaplanmistir. Asinma dayanimini iyilestirmek amaciyla beyaz alumina, garnet ve seramik bilya tozlari yuzey kaplamasinda tercih edilmistir. Kaplama islemi icin ozel tasarlanip imal edilen motorize bir duzenekle belirli devir sayisinda dondurulen 3D imal edilmis silindirik numune epoksi ve arkasindan toz uygulamasiyla kaplanmistir. Kaplama islemi sonrasi yuzey puruzluluk analizleri gerceklestirilmistir. Puruzluluk analizlerinde alansal taramalar yapilarak ortalama alansal puruzluluk degerleri (Sa) irdelenmistir. Alansal puruzluluk degerleri tozlarin kaplama esnasinda yuzeye yapisma karakteristigi ve yuzeyde tozlarin dagilimi hakkinda da onemli bilgiler vermistir. Yuzeyi kaplama sonrasi yuzeyi partikul takviyeli kompozit haline gelen numuneler erozif asinma testlerine maruz birakilmistir. Erozif asinma testleri sonrasi kutle kayiplari ve yuzey puruzluluk analizleri gerceklestirilerek asinma dayanimi karakterizasyonu gerceklestirilmistir. Erozif sonrasi yapilan yuzey analizlerinde kaplama tozlar ve asindirici tozlar arasi etkilesimin yuzey asinma hasarina etkileri ortaya konmustur. Ucak parcalarinda sikca ortaya cikan yuksek hizlardaki eroziv asinmanin, 3D yazicilarla uretilmis ucak parcalarinda yuzeyde ne tur hasarlara sebep olabilecegi konusunda yapilan calismayla bilgi birikimi saglanmaya calisilmistir. Ayrica 3D uretilen karmasik geometrili parcalarin yuzeylerini farkli bir metotla kaplama konusuna ihtiyac bulunmaktadir. Sonuc olarak 3D imalatla uretilen komponentlerin yuzey kaplamasiyla ilgili alternatif bir yontem denenmis ve erozif asinma dayanimina etkileri yuzey analizleri ile ortaya konulmaya calisilmistir.

Elektrik ark erozyonu, elektriksel devrelerin anahtarlama görevi yapan elemanlarında ortaya çıkabilen önemli hasar türlerinden bir tanesidir. Hassas elektrik devrelerinin kararlı bir çalışma gerçekleştirebilmesi için, ark erozyonuna bağlı yüzey hasarlarının mümkün olduğunca az olması istenir. Ark erozyonu, kontaktör servis ömrünü kısaltıcı etkilere yol açar. Kontaktör ömrünü uzatabilmek için yapılan çalışmalar ark erozyonu miktarını azaltmak veya ark şiddetini düşürmek üzerine yoğunlaşmıştır. Ark erozyonunun gerçekleşme karakteristiği, farklı disiplinlerin çalışma alanı olan birbirinden bağımsız birçok etken tarafından belirlenmektedir. Bu çalışmada mekanik, metalurjik ve elektrik olmak üzere farklı disiplinlerden hibrit bir araştırma yöntemiyle, Ag-Ni kontaktörlerin 12VDC 5A yük altında rezistif bir devrede farklı çevrimler sayılarında gözlemlenen deformasyonları incelenmiştir. Deneysel verilerden elde edilen sonuçlar literatürdeki çalışmalarla karşılaştırmalı olarak değerlendirilmiş; mekanik, metalurjik ve elektriksel parametrelerin elektrik ark erozyonuyla beraber kontaktör yüzeylerinde ortaya çıkardığı pürüzlülük mekanizmaları ortaya konulmuştur., Electric arc erosion is one of the important types of damage that can occur in the switching elements of electrical circuits. In order for sensitive electrical circuits to perform stable operation, surface damage due to arc erosion is desired to be as little as possible. Arc erosion leads to effects that shorten the contactor service life. Studies conducted to extend the lifetime of the contactor have focused on reducing the amount of arc erosion or decreasing the arc intensity. The occurrence characteristic of arc erosion is determined by many independent factors that are the field of study of different disciplines. In this study, the deformations of Ag-Ni contactors in a resistive circuit under 12VDC 5A load at different number of cycles were investigated using a hybrid research method from different disciplines including mechanical, metallurgical and electrical. The results obtained from the experimental data were evaluated in comparison with the studies in the literature; Roughness mechanisms caused by mechanical, metallurgical and electrical parameters along with electric arc erosion on contactor surfaces have been revealed.

The purpose of this article is to introduce the new technology of Ground Based Augmentation System by taking many factors into consideration such as, what this system is, the system equipment, its operating principle, installation costs, and advantages compared to other systems. Nowadays, many airports are not able to use their capacity adequately due to some disadvantages of approach systems, which is a serious cost for the enterprises. On the other hand, the fact that the number of equipment in the GBAS system is low and the transceiver signals are not influenced by the air traffic around the system ensures the system to be more reliable and preferable in low visibility conditions while reducing the costs greatly.

Bir ucagin uygun dogrultuda ve suzulus acisiyla inmesi icin gereken veriler onemli olcude inilen havalimaninda bulunan yaklasma sisteminden temin edilmektedir. Hassas yaklasma turleri icinde en yaygin kullanilan ILS (aletli yaklasma sistemi, instrument landing system) oldukca onemli avantajlar saglamaktadir. Bu calismada ILS’in calisma prensipleri, kategorileri (CAT I/II/IIIa,b,c) ve bunlarin kullanim yerleri anlatilmistir. Ayrica secilen ornek havalimanlarina dair veriler uzerinde yapilan hesaplamalar araciligiyla, ILS kategorilerinin yukseltilmesinin onemini belirtilmistir. Limit alti gorus nedeniyle yapilamayan veya geciken ucuslarin sebep oldugu maliyetlere dikkat cekilmistir.

Yuksek dogrulukta islemleri yapmasi beklenen ucus simulatorleri icin dusuk maliyetli hareket sistemleri kullanilmaktadir. Bu sistemler daha kisa manipulator, kucuk hareket kapasitesi ve yuksek calisma gurultusu barindirmaktadir. Bu tarz etkilerin ucus egitimi alan pilotun algilari uzerindeki etkileri bilinmemektedir ve arastirilmalari gerekmektedir. Yuksek kalitedeki bir hareket platformu yaklasimi ile dusuk kapasiteli hareketin limitleri kaldirilabilir ve kapasitesi arttirilabilir. Yuksek guvenlikli hava tasimaciliginda bir pilotun, tehlikeli hava sartlarindaki davranislarinin guclendirilmesi gereklidir. Pilotlarin egitimlerinde kullanilan simulatorler, bu tarz durumlarda ucagin verecegi tepkileri olusturabilmelidir. Bu sayede pilotlar bu tarz durumlara karsi hazirlikli olabilmektedir. Ornek olarak ruzgar kesmesi veya turbulans gibi durumlara karsi pilotlar hazirlikli olmalidir. Ucagin hareketi oldukca kisa bir sure icerisinde dengesizlesecektir. Butun bu hareketleri, tasarlanan simulatorun olusturabilmesi icin guclu dinamik ve dayanikli manipulatorlere ihtiyaci olacaktir. Gelismis bir kontrol algoritmasi gelistirebilmek icin fiziksel yapinin da limitlerini goz onune almak gerekmektedir. Kullanilacak sabit platformun dayanimi, kullanilacak motorlarin sayisi ve tipi onemlidir. Manipulator olarak bir tarafi zemine sabitlenen diger tarafi hareketli mekanizmaya sabitlenen motorlarin kullanimlariyla beraber, bir tarafi hareketli platforma sabitlenerek diger tarafi doner motorun hareketli kismina sabitlenen tasarimlar mevcuttur. Her iki sisteminde hareket algoritmalari ve hesaplamalari degisecektir. Bu tarz fiziksel ozellikleri ve limitleri algoritmaya uyarlamak gerekmektedir. Dolayisiyla algoritmaya uygulamanin dinamik modelini dogru ve etkili bir sekilde yansitmak gerekmektedir. Calismanin ileriki asamalarinda arttirilan bu kapasitelerin pilot adaylarinin duyulari uzerindeki etkileri arastirilabilir. Bu calisma Stewart platformu olarak bilinen bir 6DOF hareket platformu tasarim ornegidir ve her iki tarafi da hareketli bir noktaya sabitlenmis manipulatorler ile daha etkili bir simulator hareket sistemi gelistirmeye yonelik calismalar yapilacaktir. Amaci Stewart platform tasarimlarinin temel prensiplerine kilavuz olmak ile birlikte bu tasarimlarin ucuz ve hizli bir sekilde prototipini olusturmaya yardimci olmaktir. Kinematik analizler gerceklenerek kucuk bir prototip uretilmistir. Uretilen bu prototip stewart platformunun ilk olarak matematiksel modellemesi olusturulmustur. Daha sonra bu modele uygun malzemeler secilmistir ve model secilen bu malzemelere uygun hale getirilmistir. Bu calisma tamamen dusuk butceli bir calismaya bagli kaldigi icin piyasadaki en ucuz fiyat-performans malzemeleri secilmistir. Ayrica uretilen bu prototip icin bir ara yuz yazilimi gelistirilerek gercek ucus bilgileri saglanarak hesaplamalarin ve analizlerin dogrulugu kontrol edilmistir. Bu calisma daha gelismis bir ucus simulatoru calismasi icin gerceklestirilen bir on calismadir.

Halk tarafından genelde kara kutu olarak bilinenFDR(Flight Data Recorder) ve CVR(Cockpit Voice Recorder) kayıt cihazlarıhavacılık için çok önemlidir. Havacılıkta FDR ve CVR cihazlarına takılı olarakkullanılan ULB(Underwater Locator Beacon) ise su ile temas ettiğinde belirlibir frekansta akustik sinyal yayan bir sualtı ses vericisidir. Enkazın suyabattığı hava aracı kazalarında, arama – kurtarma ekiplerinde bulunan akustikalıcılar vasıtası ile ULB sinyalleri tespit edilir ve kayıt cihazlarınınsualtındaki konumları hesaplanır. Bu sayede kayıt cihazlarına ve uçak enkazınaulaşılabilir, kazanın kök nedenlerini bulmak için araştırmalar yapılabilir. Sonyıllarda yaşanan bazı uçak kazalarında okyanusa düşen uçakların aramaçalışmalarında ULB cihazlarının tespit edilemediği görülmüştür. Havacılıkdünyasında sık tartışılan bir konu haline gelen ULB regülasyonları ile ilgiliotoriteler bazı değişiklikler yapmışlardır. Bu çalışmada, sualtı akustikdoğasının karakteristik özelliklerinden kaynaklanan etkilerin dışında, ULBcihazlarından beklenen performansın alınamamasının olası nedenleri, otoritelertarafından yapılan değişikliklerin muhtemel etkileri ve hali hazırda problemindevam etmesine neden olabilecek faktörler incelenmiştir., FDR (Flight Data Recorder) and CVR (CockpitVoice Recorder) devices, which are known as black boxes by the public, are veryimportant for aviation. ULB(Underwater Locator Beacon) is an underwater soundprojector which is activated by water immersion and it is attached to FDR andCVR in aviation use. If an aircraft is submerged in water after an airaccident, ULB signal can be detected by hydrophones held by SAR teams and thenunderwater locations of the recorder devices will be calculated. Thus, wreckageand recorders can be found and investigations can be carried out to find outroot causes of the accident. ULB devices could not be detected during searchoperations of some accidents occurred over the ocean in recent years.Authorities have been making some changes to ULB regulations which become amatter of debate in aviation community very often. In this study, possiblecauses of the unexpected low performance of ULB devices besides the effectsoriginated by natural characteristics of the underwater acoustic environment,potential improvements of changes made by authorities, and existing otherfactors which may contribute to the problem were examined.

In this article, the new ZVT–ZCT Quasi-Resonant DC Link, which ensures zero crossings at any time required for soft switching (SS) and provides zero voltage transition (ZVT) turn-on and zero current transition (ZCT) turn-off together for the main switch of active snubber cell in pulse width modulated or space vector modulated operation of inverter is presented. The new circuit combines the most desirable features of the circuits presented previously and overcomes most drawbacks of these circuits by using only one auxiliary switch with fewer other components. Consequently, new ZVT–ZCT Quasi-Resonant DC Link, which is verified by a prototype of a 1.2 kW and 50 kHz circuit, is analysed in detail. All semiconductor devices operate under SS, the main switch is subjected to no additional voltage and current stresses, and the stress on the auxiliary switch is very low in the proposed new inverter.

In this paper, a method for voltage harmonic elimination in a pulse width modulated (PWM), single phase inverter using genetic algorithms (GAs) is proposed. We explain the resolution method procedure of the non-linear equation systems in order to achieve the appropriate switching angles. The output voltages with k pulses per half cycle are written in terms of switching angles using Fourier series, and the best switching angles are calculated off line to eliminate the third, fifth and seventh harmonics. Then problem is redrafted as an optimization task, and a solution is sought through GAs. For performance comparison with GAs, the Newton–Raphson method is also applied to the present problem. Comparison shows that the genetic algorithm method has some advantages such as a reduced computational burden, faster convergence and guaranteed global optima in most cases relative to the Newton–Raphson method. The developed analysis is experimentally verified by an experimental implementation.

Recently, DC-DC boost converters are usually required in many applications which has low output voltage, such as renewable energy sources. The interleaved boost converters consists of several identical boost converters connected in parallel and controlled by the interleaved method which has the same switching frequency and phase shift. The advantages of interleaved boost converters include increased efficiency, reduced size and improved reliability. This paper presents, simple design and implementation of a two phase interleaved boost converter.

In switch mode power supplies(SMPS), flyback converters are very popular because of, design simplicity, low cost, multiple isolated outputs, high output voltages and high efficiency. They are preferred especially for low power applications (150W). In this work, flyback converters are analyzed, mathematical modeled, designed with given parameters, tested with simulation software and practically results.

Sinusoidal and space vector pulse width modulation (SPWM-SVPWM) techniques have been extensively used to build inverters, which generate AC voltage from DC voltage. The main application of this type of inverters is for variable speed induction motor drives. With the popularity of microprocessors, the implementations of these techniques are being used widely in inverters. This paper describes the procedures for the implementation of these two modulation techniques on a low-cost high speed microcontroller.

In this paper, a novel DC link softswitched inverter is presented. The new inverter uses softswitched frequency unfolder technique to provide soft-switching feature while keeping pulse width modulation (PWM) capability without high voltage stress The main obstacle for inverters to operate at high frequencies is the increasing switching losses with the increasing switching frequencies. At high switching frequencies, the EMI noises in the circuitry increase and power density decreases. To overcome these problems, switching losses must be reduced. In this paper, with the help of proposed softswitching cell, the power loss at the switching instants are terminated and the operation of inverter at high frequencies ensured. As a result, with the use of the unfolder technique and softswitching cell, inverter efficiency increased.

Single-phase inverters are specially used in the power supplies of computer units which placed in Telecom centrals. Being the voltage produced in an inverter is harmonically composed, causes a problem. In this study, in order to make the voltage on the load constant hysteresis current control was made by using the ability of learning and guessing the Neural Networks. The necessary simulations and harmonic analysis were made by using Matlab Simulink packet program.

A new software implementation of the space vector modulation (SVM) on the vector controlled induction machine is proposed. The conventional SVM requires square root and arctangent computations. New SVM algorithm is develop to determine directly conducting times without square root and arctangent computations.
