Companies need to focus more on sustainability and the environment, particularly in industries known to be polluting and with high resource consumption, such as leatherworking. It is suggested that adopting circular economy principles could reduce the ecological impact of these industries. The author has anonymized a certain company for confidentiality reasons. The article discusses theoretical concepts related to sustainable development in this context, while also providing practical suggestions for improving ecological practices according to international standards such as ISO 14001.
