Community college presidents must understand the phenomenon of campus safety. For this mixed-methods study, community college presidents in one state were surveyed, and three presidents from the same community college system participated in in-depth interviews. Descriptive statistics measured the levels community college presidents' knowledge and perceptions on campus safety. The in-depth interviews provided a deeper understanding of the connections between community college presidents and campus safety. Overall, the results show that campus safety is important to community college presidents, who believe that, overall, their institutions are safe. We found that community college presidents believe they should be proactive and reinforce values that promote and prioritize campus safety, follow regulations, and provide sufficient resources to ensure campus safety measures. However, inadequate funding also plays a role in what can be allocated, and community college presidents voiced that they were concerned about promoting safety in the face of declining budgets and resources.

Objective: Child sexual violence is a multidimensional problem of many contemporary societies, affecting people of all sexes, social stratum and age groups. Offenses involving children and adolescents are more serious, given their total or partial dependence on parents and caregivers. Information on child sexual violence in Brazil is found in raw form and without detail. The objective was to compare the information with social and economic data in the state of Paraná. Methods: The authors conducted a retrospective study of secondary data from the Notifiable Diseases Information System (SINAN) on cases of sexual violence involving victims aged 0 to 19 years. Results are presented according to notification characteristics. The authors applied exploratory spatial data analysis to assess spatial autocorrelations and investigated relationships by the ordinary least squares regression model. Results: Between 2017 and 2021, there were 13,403 reports of child sexual violence in Paraná State, Brazil. Most victims (82.8%) were female and aged between 10 and 14 years. The majority of sexual violence cases (67.8%) occurred in the home environment. The highest rates on a population basis were observed in the North Central and Greater Curitiba regions, mainly in cities with higher population density and with higher rates of other types of violence. Conclusion: The results provide data that can promote a broader understanding of the distribution of sexual violence and the state and associated variations. It is expected to improve the provision of care for victims of child sexual violence and assist in strategic planning to prevent future offenses.

The Islamic banking industry in Indonesia continues to grow, as evidenced by the presence of technology-based services. This study aims to test the application of the theory of plan behavior in explaining customer intention to use Islamic financial technology by adding gender variables as moderators. Primary data were collected from 298 Islamic fintech users through direct and online surveys. The sample was selected based on the purposive sampling technique. Using PLS MGA analysis, this study found that attitude, subjective norms, and perceived behavioral control positively affect the intention to use Islamic fintech, except for perceived behavioral control in the male gender. Using the MGA, Parametric, and Welch-Satterthwait tests, the study also revealed no significant difference between males and females in utilizing Islamic fintech. This study expands the understanding of psychological and social factors in adopting Islamic fintech. It also contributes to the literature by filling the research gap that has not considered gender moderation in adopting Islamic fintech.

High throughput drug screening is an established approach to investigate tumor biology and identify therapeutic leads. Traditional platforms use two-dimensional cultures which do not accurately reflect the biology of human tumors. More clinically relevant model systems such as three-dimensional tumor organoids can be difficult to scale and screen. Manually seeded organoids coupled to destructive endpoint assays allow for the characterization of treatment response, but do not capture transitory changes and intra-sample heterogeneity underlying clinically observed resistance to therapy. We present a pipeline to generate bioprinted tumor organoids linked to label-free, time-resolved imaging via high-speed live cell interferometry (HSLCI) and machine learning-based quantitation of individual organoids. Bioprinting cells gives rise to 3D structures with unaltered tumor histology and gene expression profiles. HSLCI imaging in tandem with machine learning-based segmentation and classification tools enables accurate, label-free parallel mass measurements for thousands of organoids. We demonstrate that this strategy identifies organoids transiently or persistently sensitive or resistant to specific therapies, information that could be used to guide rapid therapy selection.

Objective. To describe an intensive and multimodal ultrasound (US) training program focused on Achilles enthesitis and to illustrate the learning curve of trainees without experience. Methods. Three medical students (trainees) and two rheumatologists experienced in musculoskeletal US (trainers) were involved in the training program, which encompassed one preliminary theoretical-practical meeting and five scanning sessions (two patients per session). The students and one expert performed the US examination of the Achilles enthesis bilaterally. The trainees acquired representative images and assessed the presence of Outcome Measures in Rheumatology (OMERACT) US abnormalities of enthesitis. The experts provided feedback addressing trainees’ misinterpretations, and the quality of the acquired images was evaluated. A dedicated questionnaire was used to evaluate the students’ confidence. After each session, five sets of static images (total=100 images of most commonly scanned entheses) were provided and scored by the students according to OMERACT US definitions. Total agreement and prevalence and bias adjusted kappa (PABAK) were used to evaluate the concordance between the trainees and the expert sonographer. Results. This type of research was Participatory Action Research using the Denzin and Lincoln (2005) model which consists of the Kahoot pre-action cycle and post-action cycle. This study aimed to examine the use of Kahoot Platform in Maritime English learning. It improved the speaking skill of nautical science cadets by the increasing number of maritime vocabularies as an indication. The results of this study described that the use of Kahoot quiz made learning experienced in the classroom very interactive, interesting, and effective, because of the two cycles carried out increased from the beginning of the cycle to the next cycle marked by the increasing number of correct answers done by the cadets. Thus, their vocabulary mastery increased as well. Kahoot not only increased vocabularies that supported cadet's speaking skill initiated by the correct oral reproduction, but also increased cadet's enthusiasm in learning Maritime English. In conclusion, the use of online gamification-based Kahoot quiz toward nautical science cadets at Sekolah Tinggi Maritim Yogyakarta had a significant impact on vocabulary mastery for effective communication skills.

This study discusses speech acts performed by judges of model competitions in America and Asia TV series America's Next Top Model and Asia's Next Top Model. The aim of this study is to find out the illocutionary acts of the judges since they are considered as the decision makers in a competition. The detailed analysis between American and Asian cultures is presented to support the findings of the study. For the data of the study, we collected utterances in the America's Next Top Model Session 21 Episode 5 and Asia's Next Top Model Session 6 Episode 1 from YouTube. In analysing the data, we transcribed all utterances using orthographical transcription method. The data were then analysed and categorized in terms of the theory of illocutionary speech acts from Searle (1979) using qualitative description method. After that, we made an interpretation based on the collected data and generated conclusions as well as suggestions for further research. From the analysis, it could be concluded that the total illocutionary speech acts were 146 utterances (72 from America & 74 from Asia). The major types in America's Next Top Model were assertive and declarative (33.33%), while expressive function turned out to be the most dominant one in Asia's Next Top Model. In cross-cultural pragmatics point of view, the results of this study conclude that Asians were more expressive than Americans. In addition, there was an apology statement in the American context whereas there was no expression of apology in the Asian context. In this study, it could also be seen that Americans were more to the point or overt than Asians whereas Asians were categorized to be more "careful" than Americans.

ABSTRACT Laccases (EC 1.10.3.2) are oxidoreductases that belong to the multicopper oxidase subfamily and are classified as yellow/white or blue according to their absorption spectrum. Yellow laccases are more useful for industrial processes since they oxidize nonphenolic compounds in the absence of a redox mediator and stand out for being more stable and functional under extreme conditions. This study aimed to characterize a new laccase that was predicted to be present in the genome of Chitinophaga sp. CB10 – Lac_CB10. Lac_CB10, with a molecular mass of 100.06 kDa, was purified and characterized via biochemical assays using guaiacol as a substrate. The enzyme demonstrated extremophilic characteristics, exhibiting relative activity under alkaline conditions (CAPS buffer pH 10.5) and thermophilic conditions (80–90°C), as well as maintaining its activity above 50% for 5 h at 80°C and 90°C. Furthermore, Lac_CB10 presented a spectral profile typical of yellow laccases, exhibiting only one absorbance peak at 300 nm (at the T2/T3 site) and no peak at 600 nm (at the T1 site). When lignin was degraded using copper as an inducer, 52.27% of the material was degraded within 32 h. These results highlight the potential of this enzyme, which is a novel yellow laccase with thermophilic and alkaline activity and the ability to act on lignin. This enzyme could be a valuable addition to the biorefinery process. In addition, this approach has high potential for industrial application and in the bioremediation of contaminated environments since these processes often occur at extreme temperatures and pH values.IMPORTANCEThe characterization of the novel yellow laccase, Lac_CB10, derived from Chitinophaga sp. CB10, represents a significant advancement with broad implications. This enzyme displays exceptional stability and functionality under extreme conditions, operating effectively under both alkaline (pH 10.5) and thermophilic (80–90°C) environments. Its capability to maintain considerable activity over extended periods, even at high temperatures, showcases its potential for various industrial applications. Moreover, its distinctive ability to efficiently degrade lignin—demonstrated by a significant 52.27% degradation within 32 h—signifies a promising avenue for biorefinery processes. This newfound laccase's characteristics position it as a crucial asset in the realm of bioremediation, particularly in scenarios involving contamination at extreme pH and temperature levels. The study's findings highlight the enzyme's capacity to address challenges in industrial processes and environmental cleanup, signifying its vital role in advancing biotechnological solutions.

Abstract There is a marked disparity in the state of knowledge of Holartic x Neotropical species of the freshwater snail family Physidae; the incipiency of data on Neotropical physids reflecting the lower number of dedicated specialists. The gaps in the knowledge on Neotropical physids have led to historical uncertainty about species validity. Revisiting the species is essential to reduce taxonomic impediment and delineating their probable distribution is the first step to attain this purpose. We aimed at critically analyze occurrence records of South American physids, compiled through an intensive search in the literature, biodiversity and molecular databases. We present a provisional characterization of the distribution of this family in South America, considering the probable versus the poorly documented distribution of the species. The critical underrepresentation of South American physids in collections, molecular databases and literature reinforces the role of taxonomic impediment in delaying the advance of the knowledge on species diversity. Malacological collections represented the main source of records, evidencing the relevance of unpublished data associated to specimens to assess distributional information on neglected groups. As most of the species are represented by shells, the reassessment of species identity and distribution must be done, using molecular and anatomical criteria for species delimitation.

Introduction The single-injection start regimen for aripiprazole once-monthly 400 mg (AOM 400) in patients with schizofrenia requires a single intramuscular injection in the gluteal or deltoid site and 14 days of concurrent oral therapy. Based on a population-pharmacokinetic model, the European Medicines Agency and Canada has recently approved a simplified starting strayegy of aripiprazole once a month with single-day regimen of two injections at separate gluteal and deltoid injection sites, together with a single 20 mg dose of oral aripiprazole on the 1st day. Objectives The aim of the study is to evaluate the two injection start (TIS) regimen in inpatients in the Psichiatric Unit (SPDC) of the Hospital of Rimini. Methods We retrospectively reviewed medical records of patients, from February 2021 to April 2023, that have more than 18 years, who received the newly approved 2-injection start regimen as part of their standard care, evaluating if exist changes in clinical indicators, safety and tolerability of this regimen. We valuated retrospectively the days of hospitalization after the aripiprazole 400 mg TIS and the number of emergency room access, analyzing the “repository of AUSL della Romagna” and discharge letters and the “CURE” program of the Psychiatric Service of Rimini. Results We evaluated 24 patients from February 2021 to April 2023, 11 male (45,8%), 13 female (54,2%); average age 37,95, average lenght of stay in hospital was 11,75 days. 10 patients with diagnosis of psychosis/schizophrenia (41,7%), 6 patients with bipolar disorder (25%), 4 patients with personality disorder (16,6%), 2 patients with substance induced psychosi (8,3%), 1 patients with delusional disorder (4,2%), 1 patient with schizoaffective disorder (4,2%). 6 patients had the two-injection start regimen in 2021 (25%), 13 patients in 2022 (54,2), 5 patients in 2023 (20,8%); 20 patients did not have admission in hospital after the TIS (83,3%), 4 patients had 1 or more admission after the injection (16,7%). 3 patients (12,5%) had accesses in emergency-room after Abilify Maintena. 15 patients (62,5%) continue therapy; 9 patients (37,5%) had suspended the injection for drop-out or because of change of therapy not correlated at adverse effects (1 female patient had suspended treatment after the two-injections due to pregnancy). Just 1 patient that continue Abilify Maintena 400 mg had 2 accesses in the emergency-room. Conclusions The coadministration of 2 injections of 400 mg aripiprazole was not associated with safety concerns beyond those expected with a single-injection start regimen. From the study it appears that the long-acting therapy with Alibify Maintena 400 mg once-monthly helps to stabilize the patient to prevent hospitalization and accesses in emergency-room. Bacterial resistance represents a major health problem worldwide and there is an urgent need to develop first-in-class compounds directed against new therapeutic targets. We previously developed a drug-discovery platform to identify new antimicrobials able to disrupt the protein-protein interaction between the β' subunit and the σ70 initiation factor of bacterial RNA polymerase, which is essential for transcription. As a follow-up to such work, we have improved the discovery strategy to make it less time-consuming and more cost-effective. This involves three sequential assays, easily scalable to a high-throughput format, and a subsequent in-depth characterization only limited to hits that passed the three tests. This optimized workflow, applied to the screening of 5360 small molecules from three synthetic and natural compound libraries, led to the identification of six compounds interfering with the β'-σ70 interaction, and thus was capable of inhibiting promoter-specific RNA transcription and bacterial growth. Upon supplementation with a permeability adjuvant, the two most potent transcription-inhibiting compounds displayed a strong antibacterial activity against Escherichia coli with minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) values among the lowest (0.87-1.56 μM) thus far reported for β'-σ PPI inhibitors. The newly identified hit compounds share structural feature similarities with those of a pharmacophore model previously developed from known inhibitors.

Introduction: Percutaneous ultrasound-guided radiofrequency ablation (RFA) is a well-studied treatment option for locally non-advanced hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) and colorectal liver metastases (CRLMs). Sedation is of crucial interest as it enables safe and pain-free procedures. Whether the type of sedation has an impact on procedural outcome is still not well investigated. Methods: We retrospectively collected data on patients undergoing liver RFA for various oncological conditions. Procedures were conducted in a non-operating room anesthesia (NORA) setting. Procedural-related complications and short-term oncological outcomes were analyzed. Results: Thirty-five patients (mean age 71.5 y, 80% male) were treated for HCC (26), CRLM (6) and gastric cancer metastases (3). Mean lesion size was 21 mm (SD ± 10.1 mm), and the most common tumor localization was the right hepatic lobe. RFA was performed in a step-up sedation approach, with subcutaneous lidocaine injection prior to needle placement and subsequent deep sedation during ablation. No anesthesia-related early or late complications occurred. One patient presented with pleural effusion due to a large ablation zone and was treated conservatively. Local tumor-free survival after 1 and 6 months was 100% in all cases where a curative RFA approach was intended. Conclusions: NORA for liver RFA comes with high patient acceptance and tolerance, and optimal postoperative outcomes and oncologic results.

The research entitled "Analysis of Criticism of Newspaper by Jokowi & Joe Biden regarding the Development of Covid-19 in the IDN Times and NY Times Online Media: Cross-Cultural Pragmatic Studies" has two objectives, namely to analyze the functions and criticisms found in the online news articles IDN Times and NY Times and to explain the cultural differences and similarities between Indonesian and American society. This study analyzed ten IDN Times and NY Times news articles using a qualitative descriptive method. The data obtained in this study were through listening and note-taking techniques, because the data in this study were in the form of expressions that contain the function of speech and social criticism. Data validity uses theoretical triangulation. It was found 3 (three) assertive/representative functions in IDN Times and NY Times, 2 (two) commissive functions in IDN Times and 1 (one) commissive function in NY Times, 4 (four) expressive functions in IDN Times and 2 (two) expressive functions in NY Times, 2 (two) declarative functions in IDN Times and 1 (one) declarative function at the NY Times. There were also 3 (three) direct criticisms at the IDN Times and 5 (five) direct criticisms at the NY Times, as well as 2 (two) indirect criticisms at the IDN Times.

Objective. Melorheostosis is a rare, non-hereditary, benign bone disease characterized by abnormal bone growth. Generally, melorheostosis develops during childhood or adolescence and progresses gradually over time. This disease represents a true challenge to the physician because of its variability due to location, extension of the affected bone, and involvement of associated soft tissue. Pain management, physical therapy, and surgery may be recommended, depending on the individual case. This review aims to get an overview of the latest evidence relating to epidemiology, clinical and radiographic characteristics, diagnosis, and possible therapeutic strategies for melorheostosis and describe our experience through a clinical case. Methods. We designed a comprehensive literature search on melorheostosis in MEDLINE (via Pubmed) up to April 2023 and reviewed reports published in international journals. Results. The purpose is to highlight the importance of a multidisciplinary approach in the management of a rare disease such as melorheostosis. We discuss the role of different physicians, including genetists, rheumatologists, physiatrists, physical therapists, and orthopedic surgeons, in providing accurate diagnoses and effective treatments. We conducted a comprehensive review of the literature on the treatment of melorheostosis to support these findings. In addition, the article presents a case study of a patient suffering from melorheostosis, focusing on difficulties in reaching a correct diagnosis and attempts towards conservative and surgical interventions. The patient underwent hip arthroplasty, and the final result was an improvement in function and a reduction in pain. Conclusions. Managing melorheostosis can be challenging, and there is no standardized treatment for this condition at the moment.

Background Delivery by cesarean section (SC) increases the risk of a surgical site infection (SSI). Therapy from health services and complementary therapy reduce the risk of infection and accelerate the wound-healing process. This study compared wound healing after SC with a turmeric extract gel and original Trigona honey. Methods Female white rats (Rattus novergicus) with pre- and post-testing and a control group were included in this experiment, which was conducted in June-July 2022. The test animals were 56 female white rats, 2-4 months old, weighing 150–350 g. The treatment group was divided into three subgroups with application of 50% and 75% turmeric extract gel and Trigona honey. The turmeric was given twice daily, and the honey was divided into two applications of twice a day and once a day. Wounds were assessed using the Reeda Scale. Results The fastest wound healing occurred in the group given Trigona honey twice daily. Redness, ecchymosis, and edema disappeared in this group on day 9 (score 0), and granulation tissue formed on day 9. The group that was administered 50% and 75% turmeric gel extract and Trigona honey once a day healed by days 12 and 15, respectively; all three of these interventions were better than the control group. Conclusions Administering Trigona honey twice daily was more effective for accelerating wound healing than the 50% or 75% turmeric extract gel. Original Trigona honey has the potential to be a post-SC wound healing agent.

They establish malignant and benign cervix tissue organoids from both endo- and ectocervix that have applications ranging from precision medicine to infection modeling.

Stenotrophomonas maltophilia, a non-fermentative, ubiquitous, gram-negative aerobic bacterium, is associated with high mortality rates, particularly in immunocompromised or debilitated patients. The prevalence rate of ICU-acquired pneumonia episodes caused by this microorganism has been found to be 2%. S. maltophilia has been identified as one of the top 10 microorganisms responsible for such infections in EU/EEA countries. This study describes an outbreak of S. maltophilia in an intensive care unit of a hospital in northern Italy. This includes an epidemiological investigation of the cases, the environmental microbiological controls carried out, a comparison of the strains by multilocus sequence typing (MLST), and the measures taken to prevent and control the outbreak. Among the seven clinical isolates of S. maltophilia analyzed herein, six demonstrated susceptibilities to trimethoprim–sulfamethoxazole. Conversely, one isolate of S. maltophilia exhibited resistance to first-line antibiotics. ST was found to be identical for six patients (ST 4), as well as in the environmental feedback on the trolley of Box 2. The analysis of the temporal and spatial progression of the outbreak has suggested that the transmission of S. maltophilia may have occurred through cross-transmission during care practices.

Javanese and Madurese people apologize in distinct ways. It is a common misconception that Javanese people always apologize, even when they are right. Madurese typically finds it difficult to accept forgiveness and apologize. Therefore, this study examines the approaches Javanese and Madurese took toward older, similar-aged, and younger individuals, as well as the elements contributing to apologizing and their respective cultures’ reactions to apologies. A descriptive qualitative analytical approach was used. 80 Javanese and Madurese respondents provided the data. The findings demonstrated that Javanese more frequently employ direct tactics for younger individuals and explanation strategies for those older and the same age. In contrast, Madurese people tend to utilize explanation techniques more frequently for older persons and explanation tactics for younger people. Making a mistake is the primary motivator for Javanese and Madurese to apologize, and their response to someone using one of the five apologetic tactics is to acknowledge their error. Finally, the Javanese have a propensity for being indirect. On the other hand, the Madurese tend to apologize more directly when they mess up, yet both share a forgiving nature.

Tiamulin is an antibiotic approved exclusively in veterinary medicine, active against G-positive bacteria as well as Mycoplasma spp. and Leptospirae spp. The study was aimed to establish its pharmacokinetics and to evaluate drug effects on resistance in cloacal flora in vivo in geese. Eight healthy geese underwent to a two-phase longitudinal study (60 mg/kg single oral administration vs 60 mg/kg/day for 4 days) with a two-week wash-out period. Blood samples and cloacal swabs were collected at pre-assigned times. Minimal inhibitory concentration (MIC) has been evaluated for each isolated bacterial species. The pharmacokinetic parameters that significantly differed between the groups were Cmax (p = 0.024), AUC0-t (p = 0.031), AUC0-inf (p = 0.038), t1/2kel (p = 0.021), Cl/F (p = 0.036), and Vd/F (p = 0.012). Tiamulin exhibited a slow to moderate terminal half-life (3.13 h single; 2.62 h multiple) and a rapid absorption (1 h single; 0.5 h multiple) in geese, with an accumulation ratio of 1.8 after multiple doses. An in-silico simulation of multiple dosing did not reflect the results of the in vivo multiple dosage study. In both treatments, the MIC values were very high demonstrating a resistance (> 64 μg/ml) against tiamulin that can be present prior the drug administration for some strains, or emerge shortly after the commencing of treatment for some others.

AbstractThis study examines the presence of discriminatory discourses and symbolic violence in the digital realm within the context of Indonesia. The objective of this research is to identify the discriminatory strategies towards non-heteronormative gender identity within the comment section of an Instagram post published by VICE Indonesia and to comprehend how these strategies function as mechanisms of symbolic violence. The study was conducted qualitatively by analyzing notable comments in the primary data source, which is an Instagram post addressing the issue of non-binary gender in the Indonesian context. To ensure a comprehensive analysis of the comments, only representative comments were included. The data was categorized based on four discriminatory discursive strategies, and subsequently interpreted through the lens of symbolic violence. The results show that the utilization of discriminatory discursive strategies includes the negative portrayal of the other, which involves labeling the out-group using words such as penyimpangan and gangguan jiwa, scare tactics, which are used to stir worries, blaming the victim, by justifying discrimination towards the out-group by emphasizing their negative qualities, and delegitimation, by highlighting the illegitimate status of the out-group. Additionally, the employment of these strategies is argued to transmit symbolic violence as a way to maintain doxa. Furthermore, the transmission of symbolic violence is discussed further and related to the sociocultural context of Indonesia.

This cross-cultural study examines the dynamics of compliment response strategies among university students in Indonesia and Pakistan, focusing on the influence of gender and power dynamics. The study utilizes a mixed-methods approach, through qualitative analysis, we identified prevalent themes and patterns in students’ responses by categorizing them according to Yu’s classification. Subsequently, we quantified these qualitative categories using frequencies and percentages, offering a comprehensive understanding of the distribution of various compliment response strategies. The study comprises 100 undergraduate students evenly split between Indonesia and Pakistan, with equal gender representation (25 males, 25 females) in each country, aged 18–24. Data collection employed a Google Forms questionnaire as a Discourse Completion Task. The questionnaire encompassed demographic details and responses to compliment scenarios. Upon data collection, responses were categorized into six strategies based on Yu’s (Yu, 2004) taxonomy. Noteworthy variations emerge in compliment response strategies between Indonesian and Pakistani students, as well as across gender lines. Indonesian participants, reflecting cultural values of modesty and social harmony, display a preference for acceptance and amendment strategies. In contrast, Pakistani students, particularly males, show a higher propensity for no acceptance and no acknowledgment strategies, alongside acceptance and amendment strategies. These findings underscore the intricate dynamics of compliment responses, spotlighting the interplay of gender, power dynamics, and cultural influences. The study paves the way for future exploration of intercultural communication and fosters cross-cultural connections. This is particularly relevant for Pakistan, where limited research on compliment responses exists.

Objective: To compare the clinical effect of two desensitizing agents used before the application of a bleaching gel based on 35% hydrogen peroxide (HP). Material and Methods: 30 patients were selected, and two desensitizing agents with different mechanisms of action were applied: Fluorine Neutral 2% (FN), which acts by blocking dentinal canaliculi while Potassium Nitrate 5% with 2% Sodium Fluoride (PN/SF) that acts in nerve transmission and blockade. Desensitizers were used before the application of 35% HP. Lemon cui dikenal dengan sebutan lemon ikan atau lemon kalamansidiketahui mengandung diantaranya vitamin C yang berpotensi sebagai antioksidan sehingga dapat diaplikasikan sebagai bahan aktif pada sediaan masker peel off. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk mendapatkan konsentrasi PVA terbaik dalam pembuatan masker gel peel-off dari sari buah lemon cui yang memenuhi syarat uji stabilitas fisik. Metode pembuatan sampel sari buah lemon cui diperoleh dengan cara dihaluskan menggunakan blender, ditambahkan air 100 mL lalu dipisahkan ampasnya hingga diperoleh sari. Formulasi sediaan masker gel peel-off menggunakan variasi konsentrasi PVA (Polivinil Alkohol) yaitu F1 (10%), F2 (13%) dan F3 (16%). Pengujian kestabilan fisik meliputi uji organoleptik, uji homogenitas, uji daya sebar, uji pH, uji daya lekat dan uji waktu sediaan mengering. Hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa sediaan F1, F2 dan F3 menunjukkan kestabilan secara fisik berdasarkan hasil uji organoleptik, uji homogenitas, uji daya sebar, uji pH, uji daya lekat dan uji waktu sediaan mengering sebelum dan setelah kondisi penyimpanan dipercepat. Berdasarkan hasil pengujian yang diperoleh maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa formulasi sediaan masker gel peel-off sari buah Lemon Cui dari ketiga konsentrasi PVA memenuhi syarat kestabilan secara fisik. Konsentrasi PVA yang terbaik adalah 10% karena memiliki waktu kering yang paling baik.

Anxiety, anger, sadness, and other negative emotions are the harmful effect of bullying, especially in today's digital era. Many cases of bullying happen through social media, often associated with cyberbullying. Therefore, cyberbullying is increasingly common and requires control as early as possible. This study aims to identify the role of students’ emotion regulation and empathy in cyberbullying behavior. The participants are 64 university students who tend to commit cyberbullying, chosen with the cluster random sampling technique. Three measurement tools, cyberbullying scale, emotion regulation scale, and empathy scale, were used in this study. Data were then analyzed with multiple linear regression analysis. Our finding reveals that emotion regulation significantly predicts cyberbullying, but empathy is not predicting cyberbullying. Emotion regulation allows students to keep their composure, control their words and action according to prevailing customs and norms and avoid showing aggression to people. Emotion regulation can help students to break the chain of cyberbullying.

Terapi merendam kaki dengan air hangat dan air hangat jahe salah satu terapi dapat menurunkan tekanan darah. Tujuannya mengetahui pengaruh perendaman kaki dengan air hangat dan air hangat jahe terhadap penurunan tekanan darah pasien hipertensi. Metode penelitian Quasi-experiment dengan desain pre-and post-test. Penelitian dilakukan selama satu bulan memberikan terapi air hangat dan air hangat jahe. Pengambilan sampel systhematic random sampling (n=70). Dianalisis uji statistik independent t-test software SPSS. Hasil penelitian ini adalah selisih tekanan darah sistolik dan diiastolicerlakuan terhadap air jahe dan air hangat sebelum dan sesudah mengalami penurunan sebesar 8,28 dan 8,83 nilai p-value (0,0010,05). Pengaruh rendam air hangat jahe lebih efektif menurunkan tekanan darah pasien hipertensi karena air jahe memiliki bahan aktif (saponin, flavonoid, amine, alkaloid, dan terpenoid).
