International audience; Cet article souligne l’ampleur de l’épidémie de sida en Fédération de Russie dont les tendances sont les plus rapides au monde. Nous reviendrons sur l’histoire des prémisses de l’infection en Russie et sur les paradoxes qu’elle suscite chez les autorités et chez la population de Russie. Cet article s’articulera autour des dynamiques sociales, culturelles et démographiques montrant notamment l’impact des migrations de travail à partir de l’étude de cas de travailleurs migrants tadjiks en Fédération de Russie. Il s’attachera à déchiffrer les représentations et les perceptions de ces migrants, mais aussi des conséquences multiformes de l’infection. Notre article s’appuiera sur des résultats d’enquêtes et d’observations sociologiques sur le terrain en plus des données disponibles et des travaux sur ce thème. Enfin, nous nous attacherons à analyser les réponses sociales existantes et mises en place en Fédération de Russie de même que les paradoxes que suscite l’épidémie de sida dans un pays où le stigma lié aux maladies sociales témoigne d’une représentation particulière de la société.

Nowadays labor migration plays a very important role in the mountainous areas of countries such as Afghanistan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Pakistan. The quality and direction of migration as well as its economic, social, and cultural impacts on the life of communities have changed, along with the increase in the numbers of migrants. There are conflicting opinions about whether temporary labor migration promotes or hinders the development of mountainous regions. While traveling along mountain roads in Central Asian countries, we investigated whether labor migration stimulates the development of mountain regions, interviewing local inhabitants, migrants, businessmen, authorities, and local representatives of international organizations. This chapter provides overview of the current situation of labor migration and the impact of the financial crisis on labor migration. Empirical researchers typically use several theoretical models to study migration. Sociologists, anthropologists, and social geographers prefer to use structuralism, trans-nationalism, and the theory of social and economic networks. The chapter presents overview of the main recipient countries for Tajik migrants, since the financial crisis has had different impacts on them. It focuses on three different categories of migrant workers: those who decided to stay in Russia, those who returned to Tajikistan, and those who left for work in Russia during the period of the financial crisis. The current developments in labor migration make it clear that the main factor determining changes in labor migration are Russian protectionist policies rather than the financial crisis itself. International audience; Cet article présente les résultats d’un travail d’enquête réalisée au Tadjikistan auprès d’un échantillon de travailleurs migrants. Les résultats apportent des informations précieuses sur les connaissances, les comportements et les vulnérabilités des travailleurs migrants et de leurs familles par rapport à l'infection par VIH/SIDA dans le pays d’origine et dans le pays d’accueil (la Russie). La base de données du Centre Sharq qui comprend 3400 ménages dans toutes les régions du pays ayant au moins un migrant a été utilisée pour l'enquête. Cette base de données est révisée chaque année. Par ailleurs, les résultats de cette enquête ont été mis en perspectives avec ceux d'une grande enquête menée par l'Organisation internationale des migrations (OIM) en 2005 et 2006 sur le même thème.

The work consists in three articles. The first two articles: « Pamir ‑ Land of the Aryans », and « Arya Religion ‑ Harmony of Two Worlds » are in Russian and translated to English. The third article « The House of the Truth Followers » is written in Tajik in Cyrillic and Arabic alphabets. All the articles are dedicated to the pre-islamic culture and Ismailism.
