There are two main benefits of using fundamental analysis for investors and portfolio managers. First, investing in a company with good ratios has lower risks. The second reason is that it is possible to evaluate share prices with internal valuation methods based on ratios. These price valuations can be more meaningful when combined with technical analysis data. Many data terminals provide processes such as fundamental analysis data and price valuation on a paid and licensed basis. However, the balance sheet data of publicly traded markets are publicly available and can be obtained and interpreted by web scraping methods. This study presents an approach in which basic analysis and price evaluation are made with balance sheets and ratios using open-source tools and web scraping.

Financial assets considered as time series are chaotic in nature. The main goal of investors is to take a position at the right time and in the right direction by making predictions about the future of this chaotic series. These time series consist of the opening, low, high, and closing prices of a certain period. The approaches used to make predictions about trend direction and strength using moving averages and indicators based on them have noise and lag problems as they are obtained statistically. Candlestick charts, on the other hand, reflect the price-based psychology of bear and bull investors, and facilitate the interpretation of price movements by consolidating the said opening, closing, lowest and highest prices in a single image. It is known that it was applied to Japanese rice markets for the first time in history and there are more than 100 candle patterns. In this study, an extensible architecture software framework using factory patterns and an object-oriented approach is proposed for defining candlestick patterns and developing intelligent learning algorithms based on them. In the studies carried out for financial assets, the profit factor, which shows the portfolio gain of the strategy, is used. It is desirable that this number of wins be greater than 1. When the proposed approach is tested for 5 major financial assets, this value was obtained as greater than 1 for all assets. The proposed software framework can also be used in the development of new robotic approaches in terms of being applicable to all kinds of financial assets in every period.

Dünya genelinde yayılan ve Covid-19 adı ile bilinen salgın, sosyal ve ekonomik yaşamı olumsuz etkilemektedir. Halihazırda bir tedavinin olmaması nedeni ile insanlık bu salgına hazırlıksız yakalanmıştır. Salgın durumunda alışveriş, seyahat, market gibi insanların etkileşimde olması gereken sosyal ve ekonomik ilişkilerin güvenli bir şekilde yerine getirilmesi gerekmektedir. Bu bağlamda güvenlik görevlileri kontrolünde uygulanan tedbirler ise devlete ek yük gerektirmektedir. Sokağa çıkma yasağı ve kısmi karantinalar ise hastalık bulaşmamış ve izole insanların yaşamlarını kısıtlamakta ve ekonomiyi durma noktasında getirmektedir. Bu çalışmada salgın hastalık durumlarında kullanılabilecek bir yazılım mimarisi önerilmektedir. Büyük veri ve graf veritabanı kullanan yaklaşımda her birey ya da işletmenin devlet eliyle uygulamaya dahil edildiği varsayılmıştır. Bu sayede her birey benzersiz bir kimlik ile temsil edilebilecektir. Hastalık düzeyinin temsil edilmesi için ise dört durumlu bir sağlık kodu kullanılmaktadır. E-devlet hizmetleri, büyük veri yaklaşımı ve mobil şebeke hizmetleri kullanılarak elde edilecek bu kodlardan üç tanesi kişinin pozitif vaka olması, tamamen sağlıklı olması ve pozitif vakayla temaslı olması durumlarını temsil etmektedir. Son kod ise uygulamayı kullanan ancak bireylerin belirli bir işletme ya da diğer bireyi raporlaması için kullanılacaktır. Uygulamayı kullanmayan veya barkod ile uyuşmayan kullanıcıların belirlenmesi ve raporlanması için kullanılacaktır. Çalışma kapsamında yazılım mimarisi tasarımı ve mobil uygulama ara yüzü gerçekleştirilerek, simülasyon çalışması ile örnek senaryolar üzerinden sunulan yaklaşım doğrulanmıştır., The epidemic, spread around the world and known as Covid-19, negatively affects social and economic life. Humanity has been caught unprepared for this epidemic, as there is currently no cure. In the case of epidemic, social and economic relations that people like shopping, travel, market should interact must be safely implemented. In this context, the measures applied under the control of security officers require additional burden on the state. Curfews and partial quarantines restrict the lives of uninfected and isolated people and bring the economy to a halt. In this study, a software architecture that can be used in cases of epidemics is suggested. In the approach that uses big data and graph database, it is assumed that every individual or business is included in the application by the state. In this way, each individual can be represented with a unique identity. A four-state health code is used to represent the level of the disease. Three of these codes, which will be obtained by using e-government services, big data approach and mobile network services, represent situations where a person is a positive case, is completely healthy and is in contact with a positive case. The last code will be used to report individuals using the application, but to a particular business or other individual. It will be used to identify and report users who do not use the application or do not match the barcode. Within the scope of the study, software architecture design and mobile application interface were realized, and the approach presented through simulation study and sample scenarios were verified.

Today, one of the common uses of artificial intelligence is financial markets. In these markets, which are known as stock market, making price predictions for the future using machine learning and deep learning, making the rise and fall forecasts of indices, sectors and stocks are the main approaches used in this field. In the near future in the financial markets, artificial intelligence based software robots are expected to operate instead of people. For this purpose, learning models are developed by using trend and stock price movements. Validation studies such as accuracy, error value and portfolio simulation are performed to demonstrate the performance of the developed models. In this study, a regression model using deep learning was developed to make adaptive buy-sell operations on the time series consisting of closing prices using data from Borsa İstanbul (BIST). The 2006-2015 range of the BIST30 index was used for training, the 2015-2018 range was used for testing, and the model portfolio value gained 39% on the test data for 694 trading days and the trend direction was estimated with 82% accuracy., Günümüzde yapay zekânın yaygın kullanım alanlarından bir tanesi de finans piyasalarıdır. Kısa adı borsa olarak bilinen bu piyasalarda makine öğrenmesi ve derin öğrenme kullanılarak geleceğe yönelik fiyat tahminleri yapmak, endeks, sektör ve hisse senetlerinin yükseliş ve düşüş öngörülerinin yapılması bu alanda kullanılan temel yaklaşımlardır. Dünya genelinde finans piyasalarında yakın bir gelecekte yapay zekâ temelli yazılım robotlarının insanlar yerine işlem yapması öngörülmektedir. Bu amaçla gerçekleştirilen çalışmalarda endeks ve hisse senedi fiyat hareketleri kullanılarak öğrenme modelleri geliştirilmektedir. Geliştirilen modellerin başarımlarını göstermek için doğruluk, hata değeri ve portföy simülasyonu gibi doğrulama çalışmaları yapılmaktadır. Bu çalışmada, Borsa İstanbul’a (BİST) ait veriler kullanılarak kapanış fiyatlarından oluşan zaman serisi üzerinde adaptif al-sat işlemi yapılması için derin öğrenme kullanan bir regresyon modeli geliştirilmiştir. BİST30 endeksinin 2006-2015 aralığı eğitim, 2015-2018 aralığı ise test için kullanılmış ve 694 işlem gününe ait test verileri üzerinde model portföy değeri %39 değer kazanmış ve trend yönü %82 doğrulukla tahmin edilmiştir.

Ülkemizde ve dünyada demiryolu ulaşımı çok yaygın olarak tercih edilen bir ulaşım yöntemidir. Ray hatlarının fiziksel yapıları, raylı ulaşım aracının ağırlığı ve hızı, demiryolunun kullanım yoğunluğu gibi birçok neden ray hattında aşınma, kırılma, çatlama, bozulma gibi çeşitli arızalara neden olmaktadır. Bu arızaların teşhis edilmesi için hızlı ve verimli şekilde peryodik bakımların yapılması olası maddi ve manevi kayıpların önüne geçecektir.Bu tez çalışmasında, demiryollarında ray hatları üzerinde oluşan arızaların temassız olarak lazer kameralar kullanılarak gerçek zamanlı şekilde teşhis edilmesi için yöntemler önerilmiştir. Ray hatlarında oluşan milimetrik seviyedeki hataların tespit ve teşhis edilmesi için kullanılan lazer kameralar ile öncelikle rayın üç boyutlu modeli elde edilmekte, daha sonra bu gerçek modelden hataların teşhis edilmesi sağlanmaktadır.Yöntem geliştirme aşamasında sayısal kamera ve lazer kamera kullanan çalışmalar için giriş verileri üzerinde temel bileşen analizi, tekil değer ayrıştırma, çekirdek temel bileşen analizi, histogram karşılaştırma gibi özellik seçim algoritmaları ile, rassal orman ve evrişimsel yapay sinir ağı makine öğrenmesi algoritmaları kullanan yöntemler geliştirilmiştir. Önerilen yöntemlerin doğrulanması için tez kapsamında kurulan deney seti kullanılmış ve gerçek veriler ile doğrulama çalışmaları yapılmıştır.Sonuç olarak, bu doktora tezi kapsamında lazer kameralar kullanılarak ray hatlarındaki arızaların teşhisi için geliştirilen yöntemlerin performansı deneysel veriler ve saha çalışmaları ile ortaya konulmuştur. Tez süresince yapılan çalışmalar 114E202 numaralı TUBİTAK 1001 araştırma projesi ile desteklenmiştir. Railway transportation in our country and in the world is a very popular transportation method. The physical structures of the rail tracks, the weight and speed of the rail transport, and the intensity of use of the railroad are all the reasons for various failures such as wear, breakage, cracking and deterioration in the rail track. In order to identify these failures, the quick and efficient maintenance of the periodicals will prevent possible financial and moral losses.In this thesis, methods have been proposed for real-time detection of failures on rail tracks on railways using contactless laser cameras. The laser cameras used to detect and diagnose millimetric level errors on rail tracks first obtain a three-dimensional model of the rail, and then diagnose faults that are actually modeled.In the development phase of the method, methods using feature selection algorithms such as basic component analysis, singular value decomposition, kernel basic component analysis, histogram comparison, and random forest and convolutional artificial neural network machine learning algorithms have been developed on input data for digital camera and laser camera operations. In order to verify the proposed methods, the experimental set established in the thesis was used and validation studies were carried out with real data.As a result, the performance of the methods developed for the diagnosis of failures in railway lines using laser cameras in this doctoral thesis is demonstrated by experimental data and field studies.
