[ES] El siguiente trabajo recoge el estudio pormenorizado de dos murales que se encuentran ubicados en los laterales de la capilla de Santa Rita, una de las doce con las que cuenta la Real Parroquia de los Santos Juanes ubicada en la ciudad de Valencia. Los datos proporcionados por la firma en una de las obras muestran que fueron realizadas en el año 1951, tras la guerra civil española, por V. Gay. En ellas podemos ver representados dos pasajes de la vida de la Santa a la que está referida está capilla. La técnica de ejecución de ambas fue la del Marouflage, que consiste en la adhesión de un soporte textil el cual contiene la película pictórica, sobre otro soporte, en este caso mural. Esta particularidad hace que gran parte de las patologías que sufre la obra vayan supeditadas a las que sufre la estructura sobre la que están colocadas. Teniendo esto en cuenta, se comenzará por el estudio histórico-técnico de las obras y de su estado de conservación para, posteriormente desarrollar una propuesta de intervención. Por otro lado, también se planteará una propuesta de conservación preventiva. Todo ello con la finalidad de devolver la correcta lectura de las obras y asegurar su perdurabilidad en el tiempo., [EN] The following paper presents the detailed study of two murals located on the sides of the Santa Rita chapel, one of the twelve found in the Real Santos Juanes Church, situated in the city of Valencia. The data provided by the signature in one of the works shows that they were made by V. Gay in 1951, after the Spanish Civil War. In them we can see a representation of two passages from the life of the Saint to whom this chapel is dedicated. The technique of execution of both was Marouflage, which consists in the adhesion of a textile support which contains the pictorial film on another support, in this case mural. This particularity means that a large part of the pathologies suffered by the work are subject to those suffered by the structure on which they are placed. Bearing this in mind, the starting point will be the historical-technical study of the works and their state of conservation to later develop an intervention proposal. On the other hand, a preventive conservation proposal will also be made. All of this in order to bring back the correct reading of the works and ensure their durability over time.

Microorganisms have been considered as causative agents of biodeterioration in multiple artworks. In this paper, we argue that microorganisms can be positively used for the cleaning of salt crusts otherwise difficult to remove by traditional restoration methods. We use Pseudomonas stutzeri to efficiently clean wall paintings. The bacteria allow for adequate and homogenous removal of insoluble salt efflorescence without damaging the painted layer. We also make use of a new application support consisting of agar. The article focuses on the Biocleaning of indoor wall paintings subjected to animal glue alterations applied in old restorations. The cleaning difficulties by traditional restoratoion methods make biocleaning strategy that uses a viable non-txic bacteria strategy. Presented in this article is the research about the Pseudomonas stutzeri cleaning of animal glue of Santos Juanes church of Valencia, Spain.

A combination of solid-state voltammetry and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy in the attenuated total reflectance mode was applied to identify earth pigments in samples from the frescoes of Antonio Palomino (dated 1707) taken from the vault of the Santos Juanes church in Valencia (Spain). Such frescoes suffered considerable damage by fire during the Spanish Civil War in 1936, resulting in severe chemical and chromatic alterations., Se ha utilizado una combinación de voltamperometría de estado sólido y espectroscopia FTIR en modo de reflectancia total atenuada para la identificación de pigmentos de tipo tierra en muestras de los frescos ejecutados por Antonio Palomino (1707) en la bóveda de la iglesia de Los Santos Juanes de Valencia (España). Tales frescos sufrieron considerables daños durante los incendios que tuvieron lugar durante la guerra civil española en 1936 dando lugar a graves alteraciones químicas y cromáticas.
