We present a nonperturbative study of the form factor associated with the projection of the full four-gluon vertex on its classical tensor, for a set of kinematics with one vanishing and three arbitrary external momenta. The treatment is based on the Schwinger-Dyson equation governing this vertex, and a large-volume lattice simulation, involving ten thousand gauge field configurations. The key hypothesis employed in both approaches is the ``planar degeneracy'', which classifies diverse configurations by means of a single variable, thus enabling their meaningful ``averaging''. The results of both approaches show notable agreement, revealing a considerable suppression of the averaged form factor in the infrared. The deviations from the exact planar degeneracy are discussed in detail, and a supplementary variable is used to achieve a more accurate description. The effective charge defined through this special form factor is computed within both approaches, and the results obtained are in excellent agreement., Comment: 8 pages, 7 figures

To date, the four-gluon vertex is the least explored component of the QCD Lagrangian, mainly due to the vast proliferation of Lorentz and color structures required for its description. In this work we present a nonperturbative study of this vertex, based on the one-loop dressed Schwinger-Dyson equation obtained from the 4PI effective action. A vast simplification is brought about by resorting to ``collinear'' kinematics, where all momenta are parallel to each other, and by appealing to the charge conjugation symmetry in order to eliminate certain color structures. Out of the fifteen form factors that comprise the transversely-projected version of this vertex, two are singled out and studied in detail; the one associated with the classical tensorial structure is moderately suppressed in the infrared regime, while the other diverges logarithmically at the origin. Quite interestingly, both form factors display the property known as ``planar degeneracy'' at a rather high level of accuracy. With these results we construct an effective charge that quantifies the strength of the four-gluon interaction, and compare it with other vertex-derived charges from the gauge sector of QCD., Comment: 45 pages, 11 figures

Trapped-ion arrays offer interesting possibilities for quantum simulation. We show that a proper arrangement of elliptical micro-traps combined with the external driving of the micro-trap frequencies allows, without the need of any precise fine-tuning, for the robust realization of non-Abelian vibron dynamics. We show that this non-Abelian nature may be readily probed experimentally in a simple plaquette arrangement. This study opens interesting perspectives for the study of non-Abelian spin-orbit coupling with motional excitations in two- and three-dimensional ion arrays., Comment: 6+2 pages, 6 figures

In this work, we generalize the spacetime induced by a rotating cosmic string, taking into account anisotropic effects due the breaking of the Lorentz violation. In particular, we explore the energy levels of a massive spinless particle that is covariantly coupled to a uniform magnetic field aligned with the string. Subsequently, we introduce a scalar potential featuring both a Coulomb-type and a linear confining term and comprehensively solve the Klein-Gordon equations for each configuration. Finally, by imposing rigid-wall boundary conditions, we determine the Landau levels when the linear defect itself possesses magnetization. Notably, our analysis reveals the occurrence of Landau quantization even in the absence of gauge fields, provided the string possesses spin. We report the discovery of a hot Jupiter on a 3.28-day orbit around a 1.08 M$_{Sun}$ G0 star that is the secondary component in a loose binary system. Based on follow-up radial velocity observations of TOI-858 B with CORALIE on the Swiss 1.2 m telescope and CHIRON on the 1.5 m telescope at the Cerro Tololo Inter-American Observatory (CTIO), we measured the planet mass to be $1.10\pm 0.08$ M$_{J}$ . Two transits were further observed with CORALIE to determine the alignment of TOI-858 B b with respect to its host star. Analysis of the Rossiter-McLaughlin signal from the planet shows that the sky-projected obliquity is $\lambda = 99.3\pm 3.8$. Numerical simulations show that the neighbour star TOI-858 A is too distant to have trapped the planet in a Kozai-Lidov resonance, suggesting a different dynamical evolution or a primordial origin to explain this misalignment. The 1.15 Msun primary F9 star of the system (TYC 8501-01597-1, at $\rho$ ~11") was also observed with CORALIE in order to provide upper limits for the presence of a planetary companion orbiting that star., Comment: Accepted for publication in A&A

In this paper, we seek optimal solutions for a transfer from a parking orbit around the Moon to a halo orbit around $L_2$ of the Earth-Moon system, by applying a single maneuver and exploiting the stable invariant manifold of the hyperbolic parking solution at arrival. For that, we propose an optimization problem considering as variables both the orbital characteristics of a parking solution around the Moon, (namely, its Keplerian elements) and the characteristics of a transfer trajectory guided by the stable manifold of the arrival Halo orbit. The problem is solved by a nonlinear programming method (NLP), aiming to minimize the cost of $\Delta V$ to perform a single maneuver transfer, within the framework of the Earth-Moon system of the circular restricted three-body problem. Results with low $\Delta V$ and suitable time of flight show the feasibility of this kind of transfer for a Cubesat.

The orbital dynamics of a spacecraft orbiting around irregular small celestial bodies is a challenging problem. Difficulties to model the gravity field of these bodies arise from the poor knowledge of the exact shape as observed from the Earth. In order to understand the complex dynamical environment in the vicinity of irregular asteroids, several studies have been conducted using simplified models. In this work, we investigate the qualitative dynamics in the vicinity of an asteroid with an arched shape using a tripole model based on the existence of three mass points linked to each other by rods with given lengths and negligible masses. We applied our results to some real systems, namely, asteroids 8567, 243 Ida and 433 Eros and also Phobos, one of the natural satellites of Mars.

In this work, we performed a dynamical analysis of a spacecraft around a nearly equal-mass binary near-Earth asteroid with application to the asteroid 2017 YE5, which is also a possible dormant Jupiter-family comet. Thus, we investigated the motion of a particle around this binary system using the circular restricted three-body problem. We calculated the locations of the Lagrangian points of the system and their Jacobi constant. Through numerical simulations, using the Poincar\'e Surface of Sections, it was possible to find several prograde and retrograde periodic orbits around each binary system's primary, some exhibiting significantly-sized higher-order behavior. We also calculated the stability of these orbits. After finding the periodic orbits, we investigated the influence of solar radiation pressure on these orbits. For this analysis, we considered that the area-to-mass ratio equals 0.01 and 0.1. We also performed a spacecraft lifetime analysis considering the physical and orbital characteristics of the 2017YE5 system and investigated the behavior of a spacecraft in the vicinity of this system. We analyzed direct and retrograde orbits for different values of Jacobi's constant. This study investigated orbits that survive for at least six months, not colliding or escaping the system during that time. We also analyze the initial conditions that cause the spacecraft to collide with $M_1$ or $M_2$, or escape from the system. In this work, we take into account the gravitational forces of the binary asteroid system and the solar radiation pressure (SRP). Finally, we calculated optimal bi-impulsive orbital maneuvers between the collinear Lagrangian points. We found a family of possible orbital transfers considering times of flight between 0.1 and 1 day.

In this article, equilibrium points and families of periodic orbits in the vicinity of the collinear equilibrium points of a binary asteroid system are investigated with respect to the angular velocity of the secondary body, the mass ratio of the system and the size of the secondary. We assume that the gravitational fields of the bodies are modeled assuming the primary as a mass point and the secondary as a rotating mass dipole. This model allows to compute families of planar and halo periodic orbits that emanate from the equilibrium points $ L_1 $ and $L_2$. The stability and bifurcations of these families are analyzed and the results are compared with the results obtained with the Restricted Three-Body Problem (RTBP). The results provide an overview of the dynamical behavior in the vicinity of a binary asteroid system.

The metastable helium triplet in the near-infrared (10833{\AA}) is among the most important probes of exoplanet atmospheres. It can trace their extended outer layers and constrain mass-loss. We use the near-infrared high-resolution spectropolarimeter SPIRou on the CFHT to search for the spectrally resolved helium triplet in the atmospheres of eleven exoplanets, ranging from warm mini-Neptunes to hot Jupiters and orbiting G, K, and M dwarfs. Observations were obtained as part of the SPIRou Legacy Survey and complementary open-time programs. We apply a homogeneous data reduction to all datasets and set constraints on the presence of metastable helium, despite the presence of systematics in the data. We confirm published detections for HAT-P-11b, HD189733b, and WASP-69b and set upper limits for the other planets. We apply the p-winds open source code to set upper limits on the mass-loss rate for the non-detections and to constrain the thermosphere temperature, mass-loss rate, line-of-sight velocity, and the altitude of the thermosphere for the detections. We confirm that the presence of metastable helium correlates with the stellar mass and the XUV flux received by the planets. We investigated the correlation between the mass-loss rate and the presence of metastable helium, but it remains difficult to draw definitive conclusions. Finally, some of our results are in contradiction with previous results in the literature, therefore we stress the importance of repeatable, homogeneous, and larger-scale analyses of the helium triplet to obtain robust statistics, study temporal variability, and better understand how the helium triplet can be used to explore the evolution of exoplanets., Comment: 28 pages, 13 figures, Accepted in A&A for publication

The population of close-in exoplanets features a desert of hot Neptunes whose origin is uncertain. These planets may have lost their atmosphere, eroding into mini-Neptunes and super-Earths. Direct observations of evaporating atmospheres are essential to derive mass-loss estimates and constrain this scenario. The metastable 1083.3nm HeI triplet represents a powerful diagnostic of atmospheric evaporation since it traces the hot gas in extended exoplanet atmospheres, is observable from the ground, and is weakly affected by interstellar medium absorption. We conducted a uniform HeI transmission spectroscopy survey, focusing on 9 planets located at the edges of the Neptunian desert, aiming to gain insights into the role of photo-evaporation in its formation. We observed one transit per planet using the high-resolution, near-infrared spectrograph GIANO-B on the Telescopio Nazionale Galileo. We focused our analysis on the HeI triplet by computing high-resolution transmission spectra. We then employed the p-winds model to interpret the observed transmission spectra. We found no sign of planetary absorption in the HeI triplet in any of the investigated targets. We thus provided 3sigma upper-limit estimations on the thermosphere absorption, temperature, and mass loss, and combined them with past measurements to search for correlations with parameters thought to be drivers in the formation of the HeI triplet. Our results strengthen the importance of performing homogeneous surveys and analyses to bring clarification in the HeI detection and hence in the Neptunian desert origin. Our findings corroborate the literature expectations that the HeI absorption signal correlates with the stellar mass and the received XUV flux. The implementation of the Schwinger mechanism endows gluons with a nonperturbative mass through the formation of special massless poles in the fundamental QCD vertices; due to their longitudinal character, these poles do not cause divergences in on-shell amplitudes, but induce detectable effects in the Green's functions of the theory. Particularly important in this theoretical setup is the three-gluon vertex, whose pole content extends beyond the minimal structure required for the generation of a gluon mass. In the present work we analyze these additional pole patterns by means of two distinct, but ultimately equivalent, methods: the Slavnov-Taylor identity satisfied by the three-gluon vertex, and the nonlinear Schwinger-Dyson equation that governs the dynamical evolution of this vertex. Our analysis reveals that the Slavnov-Taylor identity imposes strict model-independent constraints on the associated residues, preventing them from vanishing. Approximate versions of these constraints are subsequently recovered from the Schwinger-Dyson equation, once the elements responsible for the activation of the Schwinger mechanism have been duly incorporated. The excellent coincidence between the two approaches exposes a profound connection between symmetry and dynamics, and serves as a nontrivial self-consistency test of this particular mass generating scenario., Comment: 39 pages, 10 figures

This paper explores the relativistic behavior of spin--half particles possessing an Electric Dipole Moment (EDM) in a curved spacetime background induced by a spiral dislocation. A thorough review of the mathematical formulation of the Dirac spinor in the framework of quantum field theory sets the foundation for our investigation. By deriving the action that governs the interaction between the spinor field, the background spacetime, and an external electric field, we establish a framework to study the dynamics of the system. Solving the resulting wave equation reveals a set of coupled equations for the radial components of the Dirac spinor, which give rise to a modified energy spectrum attributed to the EDM. The thermodynamics of low-dimensional systems departs significantly from phenomenologically deducted macroscopic laws. Particular examples, not yet fully understood, are provided by the breakdown of Fourier's law and the ballistic transport of heat. Low-dimensional trapped ion systems provide an experimentally accessible and well-controlled platform for the study of these problems. In our work, we study the transport of thermal energy in low-dimensional trapped ion crystals, focusing in particular on the influence of the Aubry-like transition that occurs when a topological defect is present in the crystal. We show that the transition significantly hinders efficient heat transport, being responsible for the rise of a marked temperature gradient in the non-equilibrium steady state. We present a detailed exploration of certain outstanding features of the transversely-projected three-gluon vertex, using the corresponding Schwinger-Dyson equation in conjunction with key results obtained from quenched lattice simulations. The main goal of this study is the scrutiny of the approximate property denominated ``planar degeneracy'', unveiled when the Bose symmetry of the vertex is properly exploited. The planar degeneracy leads to a particularly simple parametrization of the vertex, reducing its kinematic dependence to essentially a single variable. Our analysis, carried out in the absence of dynamical quarks, reveals that the planar degeneracy is particularly accurate for the description of the form factor associated with the classical tensor, for a wide array of arbitrary kinematic configurations. Instead, the remaining three form factors display considerable violations of this property. In addition, and in close connection with the previous point, we demonstrate the numerical dominance of the classical form factor over all others, except in the vicinity of the soft-gluon kinematics. The final upshot of these considerations is the emergence of a very compact description for the three-gluon vertex in general kinematics, which may simplify significantly nonperturbative applications involving this vertex., Comment: 39 pages, 10 figures

We investigate the transport properties of a complex porous structure with branched fractal architectures formed due to the gradual deposition of dimers in a model of multilayer adsorption. We thoroughly study the interplay between the orientational anisotropy parameter $p_0$ of deposited dimers and the formation of porous structures, as well as its impact on the conductivity of the system, through extensive numerical simulations. By systematically varying the value of $p_0$, several critical and off-critical scaling relations characterizing the behavior of the system are examined. The results demonstrate that the degree of orientational anisotropy of dimers plays a significant role in determining the structural and physical characteristics of the system. We find that the Einstein relation relating to the size scaling of the electrical conductance holds true only in the limiting case of $p_0 \to 1$. Monitoring the fractal dimension of the interface of the multilayer formation for various $p_0$ values, we reveal that in a wide range of $p_0 > 0.2$ interface shows the characteristic of a self-avoiding random walk, compared to the limiting case of $p_0 \to 0$ where it is characterized by the fractal dimension of the backbone of ordinary percolation cluster at criticality. Our results thus can provide useful information about the fundamental mechanisms underlying the formation and behavior of wide varieties of amorphous and disordered systems that are of paramount importance both in science and technology as well as in environmental studies.

Recently created self-bound quantum droplets of binary Bose mixtures open intriguing possibilities for the study of impurity physics. We show that the properties of impurities embedded in quasi-one-dimensional droplets are determined by the interplay between back-action and quantum fluctuations. Due to such back-action, repulsive impurities may form a metastable quasi-bound state inside the droplet. In contrast, attractive impurities remain bound to the droplet, leading to the hybridization of droplet and impurity excitations, as well as to peculiar scattering resonances. Interestingly, impurity trapping may result solely from the effect of quantum fluctuations. Factorization is the most fundamental way to determine if a number $n$ is prime or composite. Yet, this approach becomes impracticable when considering large values of $n$, a difficulty that is exploited by cryptographic protocols. We propose an alternative method to decide the primality of a natural number, that is based on the analysis of the evolution of the linear entanglement entropy. Specifically, we show that a singular behavior in the amplitudes of the Fourier series of this entropy is associated with prime numbers. We also discuss how this idea could be experimentally implemented and examine possible connections between our results and the zeros of the Riemann zeta function., Comment: 5 pages, 3 figures

Polar lattice gases are usually assumed to have an inter-site interaction that decays with the inter-particle distance $r$ as $1/r^3$. However, a loose-enough transversal confinement may strongly modify the dipolar decay in one-dimensional lattices. We show that this modification alters significantly the ground-state properties of hard-core dipolar bosons. For repulsive inter-site interactions, the corrected decay alters the conditions for devil's staircase insulators, affecting significantly the particle distribution in the presence of an overall harmonic confinement. For attractive interactions, it results in a reduction of the critical dipole interaction for the formation of self-bound clusters, and for a marked enhancement of the region of liquefied lattice droplets., Comment: 6 pages, 5 figures

We present Hubble Space Telescope (HST) transit observations of the Hot-Jupiter WASP-79b acquired with the Space Telescope Imaging Spectrograph (STIS) in the near ultraviolet (NUV). Two transit observations, part of the PanCET program, are used to obtain the transmission spectra of the planet between 2280 and 3070{\AA}. We correct for systematic effects in the raw data using the jitter engineering parameters and polynomial modelling to fit the white light curves of the two transits. We observe an increase in the planet-to-star radius ratio at short wavelengths, but no spectrally resolved absorption lines. The difference between the radius ratios at 2400 and 3000{\AA} reaches $0.0191\pm0.0042$ ($\sim$4.5$-\sigma$). Although the NUV transmission spectrum does not show evidence of hydrodynamical escape, the strong atmospheric features are likely due to species at very high altitudes. We performed a 1D simulation of the temperature and composition of WASP-79b using Exo-REM. The temperature pressure profile crosses condensation curves of radiatively active clouds, particularly MnS, Mg$_2$SiO$_4$, Fe, and Al$_2$O$_3$. Still, none of these species produces the level of observed absorption at short wavelengths and can explain the observed increase in the planet's radius. WASP-79b's transit depth reaches 23 scale height, making it one of the largest spectral features observed in an exoplanet at this temperature ($\sim$1700 K). The comparison of WASP-79b's transmission spectrum with three warmer hot Jupiters shows a similar level of absorption to WASP-178b and WASP-121b between 0.2 and 0.3$\mu$m, while HAT-P-41b's spectrum is flat. The distribution of close-in exoplanets is shaped by a complex interplay between atmospheric and dynamical processes. The Desert-Rim Exoplanets Atmosphere and Migration (DREAM) program aims at disentangling those processes through the study of the hot Neptune desert, whose rim hosts planets that are undergoing, or survived, atmospheric evaporation and orbital migration. In this first paper, we use the Rossiter-McLaughlin Revolutions (RMR) technique to investigate the orbital architecture of 14 close-in planets ranging from mini-Neptune to Jupiter-size and covering a broad range of orbital distances. While no signal is detected for the two smallest planets, we were able to constrain the sky-projected spin--orbit angle of six planets for the first time, to revise its value for six others, and, thanks to constraints on the stellar inclination, to derive the 3D orbital architecture in seven systems. These results reveal a striking three-quarters of polar orbits in our sample, all being systems with a single close-in planet but of various stellar and planetary types. High-eccentricity migration is favored to explain such orbits for several evaporating warm Neptunes, supporting the role of late migration in shaping the desert and populating its rim. In this work, corrections for the Weyl law and Weyl conjecture in d dimensions are obtained and effects related to the polarization and area term are analyzed. The derived formalism is applied on the quasithermodynamics of the electromagnetic field in a finite $d$-dimensional box within a semi-classical treatment. In this context, corrections to the Stefan-Boltzmann law are obtained. Special attention is given to the two-dimensional scenario, since it can be used in the characterization of experimental setups. Another application concerns acoustic perturbations in a quasithermodynamic generalization of Debye model for a finite solid in d dimensions. We obtain new exact solutions for the gravitational field equations in the context of $f(R,T)$ gravity, thereby obtaining different classes of black holes surrounded by fluids, taking into account some specific values of the parameter of the equations of state, $w$. In order to obtain these solutions in the context of $f(R,T)$ gravity, we consider viable particular choices of the $f(R,T)$. Considering an anisotropic energy-momentum tensor, we write the field equations with the required symmetries for this type of solution. Then, we analyze the conditions of energy in a general way and also for particular values of the parameter $w$ of the equation of state. In addition, thermodynamic quantities, such as Hawking temperature and mass associated to the horizons of solutions, are taken into account in our analysis.

We investigate non-inertial effects induced by a rotating frame on a non-relativistic quantum harmonic oscillator as well as of the topology associated to a screw dislocation, which corresponds to a distortion of a vertical line into a vertical spiral. To do this, we obtain the analytical solutions of the time-independent Schr\"odinger equation for this harmonic oscillator potential in this background. The expressions for the energy spectrum are obtained and the solutions for four quantum states, namely $n=0,1,2$ and $3$, are analysed. Our results show that the presence of the topological defect (screw dislocation) as well the fact that we are analysing the system from the point of view of a rotating frame, changes the solutions of Schr\"odinger equation and the corresponding spectrum. Now these quantities depend on the angular velocity of the rotating frame, $\Omega$, and also on the parameter $\beta$, which codifies the presence of the screw dislocation. Particularly, with respect to the energy spectrum of the system the changing is such that when $\Omega$ increases, the energy can increase or decrease depending on the values we assign to the eigenvalues of the angular and linear momenta. Additionally, we observe that the values of the parameter $\beta$ that characterizes the screw dislocation causes a shift in the energy spectrum.

In this work, we investigate the consequences of Lorentz-violating terms in the thermodynamic properties of a 1-dimensional quantum ring. Particularly, we use the ensemble theory to obtain our results of interest. The thermodynamic functions as well as the spin currents are calculated as a function of the temperature. We observe that parameter $\xi$, which triggers the Lorentz symmetry breaking, plays a major role in low temperature regime. Finally, depending on the configuration of the system, electrons can rotate in two different directions: clockwise and counterclockwise., Comment: 24 pages, 9 figures

Inter-site interactions in polar lattice gases may result, due to Hilbert-space fragmentation, in a lack of ergodicity even in absence of disorder. We show that the inter-site interaction in a one-dimensional dipolar gas in an optical lattice departs from the usually considered $1/r^3$ dependence, acquiring a universal form that depends on the transversal confinement and the lattice depth. Due to the crucial role played by the nearest- and next-to-nearest neighbors, the Hilbert-space fragmentation and particle dynamics are very similar to that of a power-law model $1/r^{\beta_{\mathrm{eff}}<3}$, where $\beta_{\mathrm{eff}}$ is experimentally controllable by properly tailoring the transversal confinement. Our results are of direct experimental relevance for experiments on dipolar gases in optical lattices, and show that the particle dynamics may be remarkably different if the quasi-1D lattice model is realized in a strong 3D lattice, or by means of a strong transversal harmonic confinement., Comment: version close to that published

In this work, we study the influence of $f(R,T)$ gravity on rapidly rotating neutron stars. First we discuss the main aspects of this modified theory of gravity where the gravitational Lagrangian is an arbitrary function of the Ricci scalar $R$ and of the trace of the energy-momentum tensor $T$. Then we present the basic equations for neutron stars including the equations of state used in the present work to describe the hadronic matter. Some physical quantities of interest are calculated such as mass-radius relations, moments of inertia, angular momentum, and compactness. By considering four different rotation regimes, we obtain results that indicate substantial modifications in the physical properties of neutron stars in $f(R,T)$ gravity when compared to those in the context of general relativity. In particular, the mass-radius relation for sequences of stars indicates that $f(R,T)$ gravity increases the mass and the equatorial radius of the neutron stars for stars rotating with an angular velocity smaller than Kepler limit.

A dual Riccati-type pseudo-potential formulation is introduced for a modified AKNS system (MAKNS) and infinite towers of novel anomalous conservation laws are uncovered. In addition, infinite towers of exact non-local conservation laws are uncovered in a linear formulation of the system. It is shown that certain modifications of the non-linear Schr\"odinger model (MNLS) can be obtained through a reduction process starting from the MAKNS model. So, the novel infinite sets of quasi-conservation laws and related anomalous charges are constructed by an unified and rigorous approach based on the Riccati-type pseudo-potential method, for the standard NLS and modified MNLS cases, respectively. The non-local properties, the complete list of towers of infinite number of anomalous charges and the (non-local) exact conservation laws of the quasi-integrable systems, such as the deformed Bullough-Dodd, Toda, KdV and SUSY sine-Gordon systems can be studied in the framework presented in this paper. Context: Late on 2013 August 19, a coronal mass ejection (CME) erupted from an active region located near the far-side central meridian from Earth's perspective. The event and its accompanying shock were remotely observed by the STEREO-A, STEREO-B and SOHO spacecraft. The interplanetary counterpart (ICME) was intercepted by MESSENGER near 0.3 au, and by both STEREO-A and STEREO-B, near 1 au, which were separated by 78{\deg} in heliolongitude. The main objective of this study is to follow the radial and longitudinal evolution of the ICME throughout the inner heliosphere, and to examine possible scenarios for the different magnetic flux-rope configuration observed on the solar disk, and measured in situ at the locations of MESSENGER and STEREO-A, separated by 15{\deg} in heliolongitude, and at STEREO-B, which detected the ICME flank. Results: We find that the magnetic flux-rope structure detected at STEREO-B belongs to the same ICME detected at MESSENGER and STEREO-A. The opposite helicity deduced at STEREO-B, might be due to the spacecraft intercepting one of the legs of the structure far from the flux-rope axis, while STEREO-A and MESSENGER are crossing through the core of the magnetic flux rope. The different flux-rope orientations measured at MESSENGER and STEREO-A arise probably because the two spacecraft measure a curved, highly distorted and rather complex magnetic flux-rope topology. The ICME may have suffered additional distortion in its evolution in the inner heliosphere, such as the west flank is propagating faster than the east flank when arriving 1 au. Conclusions: This work illustrates how the ambient conditions can significantly affect the expansion and propagation of the CME/ICME, introducing additional irregularities to the already asymmetric eruption, and how these complex structures cannot be directly reconstructed with the current models available., Comment: 19 pages, 10 figures

Breakthrough experiments have newly explored the fascinating physics of dipolar quantum droplets and supersolids. The recent realization of dipolar mixtures opens further intriguing possibilities. We show that under rather general conditions, the presence of a second component catalyzes droplet nucleation and supersolidity in an otherwise unmodulated condensate. Droplet catalyzation in miscible mixtures, which may occur even for a surprisingly small impurity doping, results from a local roton instability triggered by the doping-dependent modification of the effective dipolar strength. The catalyzation mechanism may trigger the formation of a two-fluid supersolid, characterized by a generally different superfluid fraction of each component, which opens intriguing possibilities for the future study of spin physics in dipolar supersolids., Comment: 10 pages

We consider a Hilbertian and a charges approach to fractional gradient constraint problems of the type $|D^\sigma u|\leq g$, involving the distributional fractional Riesz gradient $D^\sigma$, $0<\sigma <1$, extending previous results on the existence of solutions and Lagrange multipliers of these nonlocal problems. We also prove their convergence as $\sigma\nearrow1$ towards their local counterparts with the gradient constraint $|D u|\leq g$.
