Tuc Altaf, Cigdem/0000-0001-9036-5836, Flexible, self-powered, and fast-responsive photoelectrochemical photodetector (PEC-PD) devices are needed in optoelectronic applications. Although the PD devices constructed from heterojunction of zinc oxide (ZnO) and inorganic halide perovskite (CsPbBr3)-type perovskite displayed astonishing performance in the field, the sensitivity of the perovskite layer to environmental conditions restricts the wide application. Herein, we present a study for the preparation of a wide light spectrum (367-499 nm) sensitive PEC-PD devices built from the heterostructure of Mn-doped ZnO nanorod (ZnONR) and CsPbBr3 on both rigid and flexible substrates using ionic conductive polymer electrolyte. The PEC-PD performance parameters of the self-powered PEC-PD device such as responsivity (R), Detectivity (D*), and sensitivity (S%) have been calculated as 95.12 mAW-1, 2.83x1012 Jones and 8.04x106%, respectively. In addition to these parameters, the fast light response for rise/decay time (tau rise/ tau decay) which is an important parameter for PD applications was (10.62 ms/42.9 ms) observed. Although photo-supercapacitors (PSCs) potentially meet this requirement, it is essential to develop high-performance devices in which conversion and storage can be achieved on the same electrode. This study investigated two-electrode PSC systems based on three-dimensional (3D) zinc oxide (ZnO) nanoflakes/reduced graphene oxide (rGO) nanocomposites to meet the need for in situ solar energy conversion/storage. To better understand the effect of rGO and 3D ZnO nanoflakes separately, three different compositions have been studied, in which the weight percent of rGO changes from 8 to 32%. The energy density increases as the amount of rGO increases, but the composite material loses its light sensitivity above a critical value. Therefore, the electrodes containing 16% rGO exhibited higher performance than those containing 32% and 8% rGO. As a result, the (16%) rGO/ZnO-based PSC exhibited superior performance compared to the other samples, with its ability to maintain 100% of its performance at 40 000 cycles, its areal capacitance of 40 mF cm-2 and energy density values of 22 mu W h cm-2, which were 170% higher than under dark condition measurements. Tuc Altaf, Cigdem/0000-0001-9036-5836, Supercapacitor research focuses on cheap, long-lasting electrode materials. As a semiconductor, titanium dioxide (TiO2) is cheap and chemically stable, making it a promising electrode material for supercapacitors. The goal is to improve carbon-based composites by hybridizing conductive materials. The graphitic carbon nitride (g-C3N4) is a stable and common allotrope of C3N4. Its optical, electrical, and structural properties make it a good hybrid system for supercapacitors. With a simple, affordable, and successful thermal decomposition method, we synthesized a TiO2/g-C3N4 composite material. Supercapacitors have 20.6 F g-1 specific capacitance, 63 Wh kg-1 energy density, and 92 % Coulombic efficiency. Photoassisted energy storage systems, which enable both the conversion and storage of solar energy, have attracted attention in recent years. These systems, which started about 20 years ago with the individual production of dye-sensitized solar cells and capacitors and their integration, today allow more compact and cost-effective designs using dual-acting electrodes. Solar-assisted batterylike or hybrid supercapacitors have also shown promise with their high energy densities. This review summarizes all of these device designs and conveys the cutting-edge studies in this field. Besides, this review aims to emphasize the effects of point, extrinsic, intrinsic, and 2D-planar defects on the performance of photoassisted energy storage systems since it is known that defect structures, as well as electrical, optical, and surface properties, affect the device performance. Highly stable platinum (Pt) and ruthenium (Ru)-based catalysts on titanium oxide (TiO2) nanoparticle support were prepared. The productivity of hydrogen generation from sodium borohydride (NaBH4) hydrolysis was observed to be as high as 95%. The activation energies for the hydrolysis reaction in the presence of Ru/TiO2 in aqueous and alkaline solutions were 62.00 and 64.65 kJ mol(-1), respectively. On the other hand, the activation energy value of the hydrolysis reaction with the Pt/TiO2 catalyst decreased from 60.5 to 53.2 kJ mol(-1), and the solution was changed from an aqueous to an alkaline medium. The experimental results have indicated that NaOH concentration (ranging from 0.5 to 2 M) affected the hydrogen generation rate (HGR) differently for both metals on the TiO2 support. Consequently, the HGR of the hydrolysis reaction in the presence of the Ru/TiO2 catalyst decreased with increasing NaOH concentration, whereas the Pt/TiO2 catalyst efficiency increased with increasing NaOH concentration., This work was supported by the Belarusian Republican Foundation for Basic Research (project no.
