ஆய்வுச் சுருக்கம் இக்கட்டுரை தமிழர்களின் சமையலில் இருக்கக் கூடிய மருத்துவங்களை மையப்படுத்தியமைந்துள்ளது. தமிழர்களின் சமையலில் இருக்கும் மகத்துவங்களைப் பற்றியும் அதன் நன்பகதன்மைப் பற்றியும் விளக்கும் வண்ணம் இக்கட்டுரை வடிவமைக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது. சங்க காலத்தில் தமிழர்கள் இயற்கையுடனும் காலத்துடனும் இணைந்த ஒரு கிராமிய சுற்று சூழலிலேயே சமையற்கலை வளர்த்தனர். அக்காலத்தில் பலவகையான உணவுகளைச் சுவையுடனும் மூலிகைத் தன்மையுடன் சமைப்பது தமிழர் சமையற்கலையாகப் போற்றப்பட்டது. தமிழர் உணவுகளில் மஞ்சள், ராகி, மிளகு, கறிவேப்பிலை, இஞ்சி போன்றவையெல்லாம் கறிகுழம்புகளுக்கும் பிற வகை உணவுகளுக்கும் சேர்க்கப்படுவது வழக்கம். இதன் மூலம் நம் உடலுக்கு என்ன பயன் என்பதையும் இக்கட்டுரை விளக்குகிறது. தமிழர்கள் உணவே மருந்து, மருந்தே உணவு என்ற கொள்கையில் முழுமையாக இருந்து வாழ்ந்தவர்கள். எது உணவாக இருக்கிறதோ அதுவே மருந்தாக இருக்க வேண்டும், எது மருந்தாக இருக்கிறதோ அதுவே உணவாகவும் இருக்க வேண்டும் என்ற கொள்கை சித்த மருத்துவத்தில் கடைப்பிடிக்கப்பட்டது. உலகத்துக்கே எடுத்துக்காட்டாக இருந்த தமிழ்ச் சமூகம் இன்றைக்குத் தமிழர்கள் உண்ணக் கூடிய உணவுகள் என்ன என்பதை பட்டியலிட்டுப் கண்டறிந்தோமானால் மிகவும் வேதனை தரக் கூடிய விடயமாக இருக்கிறது. ஆக, தமிழர் உணவில் அடங்கியிருக்கும் மருத்துவங்களை விளக்குவதற்கும் இன்றைய தலைமுறையினர்களிடையே விழிப்புணர்வை ஏற்படுத்துவதற்கும் இக்கட்டுரை முதன்மை நோக்கமாகக் கொண்டு எடுத்தாளப்பட்டுள்ளது.

In the present study, energy harvesting is done from carbon fibers (CFs) synthesized using a naturally available broomstick and bamboo stick. The broom and bamboo sticks have been reprocessed in an alkaline solution using a controlled hydrothermal method. The carbonization of the cellulose fibers resulted in the production of CFs. The synthesized CFs have been used to prepare a ternary composite electrode with MnO2 and polyaniline (PA). Thus, prepared ternary composite electrodes were used for the supercapacitor application. The Supercapacitor with a maximum specific capacitance (SC) of 373 F/g (from Broomstick) and 132 F/g (from the bamboo stick) was fabricated, which showed good cycling stability. The structural properties of the electrode materials were confirmed using X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy, EDAX, BET adsorption-desorption experiment, and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy techniques. The fabricated symmetrical electrode's supercapacitor properties were analyzed using cyclic voltammetry (CV), electrochemical impedance, and galvanostatic charge-discharge (GCD) cycling technique.

The stagnant water reservoirs in urban area of India are severely contaminated for various purposes i.e. bathing, drinking and washing for humans and other animals. The contaminants due to surfactants, microbes, animals, nutrients, organic toxicants, etc. Some which can cause waterborne illness. Moringa olifera seeds extract was more effective than traditional antibiotics to combat the human pathogenic bacteria studied responsible for severe illness .The aim of the present study to isolate and identify the bacteria from pond water collected from Chidambaram , Annamalai Nagar .The microbial populations of the collected water sample were analyzed using standard plate count method .Based on the morphological and biochemical characterization the isolates were confirmed as Salmonella sp ,Pseudomonas sp ,Staphylococcus sp ,Escherichia coli ,Klebsiella sp ,Bacillus sp and Vibrio sp. The Moringa oleifera seed extracts were prepared using methanol, ethanol, acetone and aqueous extracts. The different crude extracts of Moringa oleifera were tested against all the isolated strains .Among the different extracts tested ,aqueous exhibited maximum zone of inhibition against Staphylococcus sp (27±0.2mm) followed by Salmonella sp (25±0.5) and Vibrio (25±0.1 ) KEYWORDS: Pond Water, Microorganism, Solvents, Moringa olifera seed, Crude extracts.
