Este estudo teve o objetivo de analisar a produção científica acerca da cibercultura e da educação. Realizou-se uma revisão sistemática da literatura, com artigos pesquisados no Portal da CAPES (periódicos), a partir dos descritores ‘cibercultura’, ‘cibercultura’ e ‘educação’. O critério de inclusão foram artigos nacionais dos anos de 2010 a 2019 e oriundos de estudos desenvolvidos no Brasil. Os critérios de exclusão foram dissertações, teses e demais textos que não atendiam às expectativas da pesquisa. Por meio desse processo, a amostra final foi constituída de 28 artigos. A análise dos artigos consistiu na leitura dos resumos e, em seguida, na elaboração de um quadro dos dados coletados com informações de cada pesquisa, a saber: título, ano de publicação, autores, revista/periódico. A análise do estudo foi feita qualitativamente. As publicações analisadas descrevem as relações entre a cibercultura e o processo educativo, com destaque para conceitos como: mídia, ciberespaço, comunidade virtual, novas tecnologias, hipertexto, cultura, cultura digital, entre outros. Os estudos ressaltam que o crescimento do conceito de cibercultura está atrelado ao conceito de ciberespaço, que apresenta uma nova dimensão social, resultante de um movimento global em que predomina a conexão em tempo real. O ciberespaço é um espaço de aprendizagem, onde o uso de ferramentas midiáticas se apresenta como um recurso a ser utilizado pelo docente no processo de ensino e aprendizagem.

Background Interplay between vaginal microbiome and human papillomavirus (HPV) remains unclear, partly due to heterogeneity of microbiota. Methods We used data from 546 women enrolled in a cross-sectional study in 5 Brazil. We genotyped vaginal samples for HPV and sequenced V3–V4 region of 16S rRNA gene for vaginal microbiome analysis. We used stepwise logistic regression to construct 2 linear scores to predict high-risk HPV (hrHPV) positivity: one based exclusively on presence of individual bacterial taxa (microbiome-based [MB] score) and the other exclusively on participants’ sociodemographic, behavioral, and clinical (SBC) characteristics. MB score combined coefficients of 30 (of 116) species. SBC score retained 6 of 25 candidate variables. We constructed receiver operating characteristic curves for scores as hrHPV correlates and compared areas under the curve (AUC) and 95% confidence intervals (CI). Results Overall, prevalence of hrHPV was 15.8%, and 26.2% had a Lactobacillus-depleted microbiome. AUCs were 0.8022 (95% CI, .7517–.8527) for MB score and 0.7027 (95% CI, .6419–.7636) for SBC score (P = .0163). Conclusions The proposed MB score is strongly correlated with hrHPV positivity—exceeding the predictive value of behavioral variables—suggesting its potential as an indicator of infection and possible value for clinical risk stratification.

Background: Taking into consideration the needs inherent in the new health-disease state, stoma marking can be a turning point in the whole process of transition. Thus, can be considered a factor inhibitor or facilitator, in part due to how it is diagnosed, seen and experienced. Objective: Understand the impact of preoperative stoma marking in context to patients undergoing colorectal surgery. Methodology: Bibliographical research, followed by analytical reading of selected articles and use of the theory of Afaf transitions as theoretical support. Results: The analysis of the scientific evidence, this orients to the recognition of the needs inherent to the candidate the ostomy. Conclusion: Preoperative marking of stoma in context is of great importance as it allows a diagnosis prior to planned nursing interventions associated with a contingency plan facilitates the healthy transition process, resulting in health gains.

Ethnoracial, behavioral, and environmental factors can influence microbiome. The Brazilian population is unique in terms of miscegenation of ethnic groups and behavioral characteristics across different regions. We aimed to characterize the vaginal microbiome of women from 5 geographical regions of Brazil. Methods We sequenced V3-V4 regions of 16S rRNA gene in vaginal samples of 609 reproductive-aged women. We performed logistic regression analyses to estimate odds ratios (OR) and 95% confidence intervals (CI) for the association between sociodemographic and behavioral factors with Lactobacillus-depleted microbiome (community state type [CST] IV). Results Vaginal samples were grouped into 5 CST: CST I (L. crispatus predominant, 30.5%), CST II (L. gasseri predominant, 4.4%), CST III (Lactobacillus iners predominant, 36.5%), CST IV (Lactobacillus-depleted, 27.4%), and CST V (L. jensenii predominant, 1.2%). Several factors were independently associated with CST IV, such as smoking (OR, 1.80; 95% CI, 1.02-3.18), number of partners (OR, 2.11; 95% CI, 1.20-3.70), and vaginal douching (OR, 2.24; 95% CI, 1.34-3.74). A protective effect was observed for milk/dairy intake (OR, 0.47; 95% CI, 0.27-0.82) and sitz bathing (OR, 0.43; 95% CI, 0.19-0.98). Conclusions Nearly two thirds of Brazilian women may be at an increased risk for adverse outcomes associated with a vaginal microbiota characterized by the depletion of Lactobacillus or dominance by L. iners, whose protective role has been widely questioned. Several factors related to sexual behavior and intimate hygiene were associated with CST IV. The main goal of this research is to describe This research has as its general objective to describe how the school education of the Xokó people begins and consolidates itself, establishing a relationship with the trajectory of struggle, resistance and re-existence of this people. The methodological path comprehends the qualitative approach, developed through the Case Study, with a historical scope. In this methodological trajectory, documentary analyses and teleinterviews were performed with leaders, male and female teachers, principals and students involved in schooled educational actions in in different times. The analyses lead us to the following results: the schooling of the Xokó people began in Caiçara under teacher Enoi Bezerra de Lima's auspices in her residence; after the resumption of St. Peter's Island, school activities took place in the sacristy of the Catholic Church; the first building built for the purpose of running a school occurred in 1983 through the municipality of Porto da Folha; after many requests from the Xokó community, the state assumes the education of the Xokó people; and in 1996 the State Indigenous School named Dom José Brandão de Castro was created. Still in the track of the results, one notices that the Indigenous School Education offered by the Government of the State of Sergipe does not comply with the determinations of the Indigenous School Education legislation, does not offer continuous training for teachers, does not promote a public contest for teachers of the Xokó community and there is a lack of differentiated teaching material. As a matter of fact, we point out a misstep between the achievement in the consolidation of the ISE in the state of Sergipe as in the national scenario. Esta pesquisa tem como objetivo geral descrever como se inicia e consolida a educação escolar do povo Xokó, estabelecendo relação com a trajetória de luta, resistência e reexistência desse povo. A trajetória metodológica compreende a abordagem qualitativa, desenvolvida por meio do Estudo de Caso, com perspectiva histórica. Nessa trajetória metodológica, foram realizadas análises documentais e tele-entrevistas com lideranças, professoras, professor, diretoras e alunos(as) envolvidos(as) nas ações educacionais escolarizadas em diferentes períodos. As análises nos remetem aos seguintes resultados: a escolarização do povo Xokó iniciou-se na Caiçara com a professora Enoi Bezerra de Lima na sua residência; após a retomada da Ilha de São Pedro, as atividades escolares ocorreram na sacristia da Igreja Católica; o primeiro prédio construído com a finalidade de funcionamento de uma escola ocorreu em 1983 através da prefeitura Municipal de Porto da Folha; depois de muitas cobranças da comunidade Xokó, o estado assume a educação do povo Xokó; e em 1996 é criado o Colégio Indígena Estadual Dom José Brandão de Castro. Ainda na perspectiva dos resultados, nota-se que a Educação Escolar Indígena ofertada pelo Governo do Estado de Sergipe não cumpre as determinações da legislação da Educação Escolar Indígena, não oferece formação continuada para os professores, não realiza concurso público para professores(as) da comunidade Xokó e há carência de material didático diferenciado. Por fim, apontamos descompasso entre a conquista na consolidação da EEI no estado de SE e no cenário nacional. São Cristóvão

Muito se tem falado acerca da formação docente. Não se trata de um discurso novo; entretanto, ganha a cada dia novos contornos, pois há uma preocupação latente quanto à formação de professores. Essa preocupação não diz respeito apenas à legitimidade dessa formação, mas ao modo como ela está ocorrendo, suas reais condições e seus cenários. O debate sobre formação de professores sempre esteve presente no cenário educacional brasileiro, girando em torno da docência, do currículo, da relação professor e aluno, do processo de ensino e aprendizagem e da articulação entre teoria e prática. Assim, trazemos para o foco de nossa discussão, o contexto político, econômico, cultural e social em que essas relações acontecem. As transformações que vêm ocorrendo em nível mundial, em especial os relacionados ao fenômeno da globalização, os avanços científicos e tecnológicos, além da adesão de um projeto neoliberal para educação, trazem consigo uma exigência imediata e urgente no sentido da profissionalização do magistério. Tudo isso motiva o questionamento com relação à formação e à atuação dos professores frente aos desafios impostos pela sociedade capitalista.

Background: Congenital heart diseases have a high prevalence in Portugal in the pediatric age. Understanding the quality of life of children with congenital heart diseases will allow to know its impact and the adaptive process involved. We lack, however, measurement instruments adapted to the Portuguese population. Objective: Translate and adapt the Pediatric Cardiac Quality of Life Inventory (PCQLI) for the Portuguese population. Methodology: The original questionnaire was translated according to international recommendations. The final version of the instrument was applied in a non-probability sample comprised 59 children, 80 adolescents and their parents, totaling 278 respondents. The facial validity analysis was performed with the pre-test and internal consistency analysis using Cronbach’s Alpha. Results: In the pre-test it was verified that the items are comprehensible, useful with a simple and colloquial language. The internal consistency for the total score varied for the different versions between 0.834 and 0.932. Conclusion: The Portuguese version of PCQLI allowed us to evaluate the quality of life of children with congenital heart disease in a satisfactory way. However, a larger sample is needed to develop the validation process

Cotton blue disease (CBD) is the viral disease which poses the greatest threat to cotton in Brazil. One efficient way of controlling this disease is by using resistant cultivars. However, the recent emergence of an atypical form of CBD (ACBD), caused by a new virus genotype capable of overcoming these resistant cultivars, is causing concern. Thus, the aims of this study were to evaluate the distribution of ACBD in the states of Mato Grosso (MT) and Goias (GO), to determine the relationship between vector infestation level, disease incidence and yield, and to check the reaction of cotton cultivars to two viral isolates. In both cotton production areas, 1128 plots were surveyed and 6.5% showed plants with the virus, 97.3% and 2.7% with ACBD and CBD, respectively. In cultivars susceptible to ACBD, a positive linear relationship between changes in the levels of aphid infestation and incidence of viral infection was indentified, and a negative linear relationship between infestation level and yield. The maximum acceptable level of aphids up to 80 days after sowing for susceptible cultivars was approximately 15%. Although 83% of the cultivars were shown to be resistant to CBD, only 19.2% were resistant to ACBD. There was also a number of cultivars with considerable resistance to both isolates.

The soybean looper (Chrysodeixis includens) is an important defoliation pest in crops such as soybean and cotton in Brazil. Its main control tactic is chemical insecticides. Considering the importance of chemical control for this pest, monitoring the susceptibility of C. includens populations is strategic for an efficient Insect Resistance Management. Therefore, the objective of this study was to evaluate the susceptibility levels of C. includens populations in the state of Mato Grosso - Brazil to lufenuron and spinosad. Seven populations were collected in soybean fields around the state. For the bioassays, early L3 larvae were exposed to insecticides using the diet-overlay method. Although the compounds have distinct modes of action, Tangará da Serra population had the highest resistance ratios for lufenuron (11.62) and spinosad (7.84), compared to laboratory population (susceptibility reference). Even with low resistance levels, it is necessary to maintain regional monitoring of C. includens susceptibility to the evaluated insecticides, as well as to extend the range of molecules monitored.

Helicoverpa armigera (Hübner) is part of an important complex of insects-pests that attack the cotton crop. This study aimed to identify the preferential plant parts for the oviposition of moths, as well as the movement and feeding behavior of caterpillars, in the vegetative phase of the cotton cultivar BRS 369 RF. Plants emitting floral buds were used to study the oviposition behavior of moths. For this, a completely randomized design, with three treatments (adaxial and abaxial sides of the leaf and floral buds) and twenty replications (plants in pots), was used. In order to evaluate the behavior of the caterpillars in the cotton vegetative phase, another 3 × 5 factorial design, with nine replications, was used. The treatments were three ages (first, second and third instars) combined with five behaviors (walking, resting, waving, eating and drop-off). In this trial, the period of the day when caterpillars are more active was also evaluated. It was observed that H. armigera moths prefer to lay their eggs on the adaxial leaf side and on the last two nodes of the plant, in a descending direction. The adaxial leaf side is also the part of the plant preferred by caterpillars for walking, eating and resting, being this last behavior the most frequent in all instars. In general, the caterpillars walk more in the morning.

EFEITO DE DENSIDADES DE Chrysodeixis includens (LEPIDOPTERA, NOCTUIDAE) NA PRODUTIVIDADE DO ALGODOEIRO A existencia de plantios de soja proximos aos de algodao tem favorecido a migracao de especies de lepidopteros-praga entre essas culturas, como a falsa-medideira, Chrysodeixis includens, praga desfolhadora da soja, mas que esta atacando o algodoeiro. O objetivo deste trabalho foi identificar qual a densidade de lagartas de C. includens que causa reducao na produtividade do algodoeiro. O delineamento foi em blocos ao acaso com seis tratamentos (0, 2, 4, 6, 8 e 16 lagartas.metro-1) e cinco repeticoes. As plantas da cultivar FM 944GL, no estadio F2, foram infestadas com lagartas em terceiro instar, protegidas por gaiola de PVC (1,0 m x 1,0 m x 1,6 m (C x L x H)) revestida com organza. Os dados de producao e desfolha foram submetidos a analise de variância pelo teste F e analise de regressao. De acordo com os resultados constatou-se que a presenca de duas lagartas.m-1, de terceiro instar, de C. includens nao afetou a produtividade do algodoeiro na fase F2; e a partir de quatro lagartas.m-1 de terceiro instar houve reducao na produtividade do algodoeiro. Nos tratamentos com duas, quatro, seis, oito e dezesseis lagartas a desfolha foi de 4%, 10%, 6%, 13% e 24%, respectivamente.Palavras-chave: Gossypium hirsutum; falsa-medideira; herbivoria; manejo. ABSTRACT: The cultivation of soybean near to cotton areas has favored the migration of lepidopteran pests between those crops, including the soybean looper, Chrysodeixis includens, which usually attacks soybean leaves but can also attack cotton plants. The objective of this study is to identify the density of C. includens larvae capable of decreasing cotton productivity. Six treatments (0, 2, 4, 6, 8 and 16 larvae.meter-1) with five replications were arranged in a completely randomized block design. Plants of cultivar FM 944GL at stage F2 were protected by PVC cages (length, 1.0 m; width, 1.0 m, height, 1.6 m) covered with organza fabric and infested with third-instar larvae. Crop yield and defoliation data were subjected to analysis of variance using the F-test and regression analysis. The results indicated that the presence of two third-instar larvae.m-1 did not affect cotton yield in the F2 phase whereas four or more third-instar larvae.m-1 decreased cotton yield. The rate of defoliation was 4%, 10%, 6%, 13%, and 24% in the treatments with two, four, six, eight, and sixteen larvae, respectively.Keywords: Gossypium hirsutum; soybean looper; herbivory; management.

Objective The objective of this study was to review the links between ethnicity, serology and clinical expression in systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) in a single cohort that was followed over a 36-year period. Patients and methods Patients with SLE treated at the University College London Hospitals (UCLHs) between January 1978 and December 2013 formed the cohort. We assessed the demographic, clinical and serological data. Standard methods were used for laboratory testing. The Student t test and Mann–Whitney U test were used for the continuous variables; the Fisher’s exact test was used for the categorical variables. Results We studied 624 SLE patients: There were 571 women (91.5%), with a mean age at diagnosis of 29.0 ± 6.5 years; and 53 men (8.5%), with a mean age at diagnosis of 29.4 ± 15.3 years. Ethnically, 369 of the patients were European, 100 were Afro-Caribbean, 77 were East Asian, 56 were South Asian and 21 were of mixed ethnicity. The East Asian patients developed the disease at a younger age than the other ethnic groups ( p Conclusions The East Asian patients developed their SLE disease at a younger age than the other ethnic groups. Cutaneous involvement was more frequent in those who were not Afro-Caribbean. Serositis, joint and neurological involvement were more frequently diagnosed in the South Asian patients. Anti-ENA antibodies were frequently associated with the Afro-Caribbean patients.

Objetivou-se identificar partes da planta preferenciais para a oviposição das mariposas, bem como os comportamentos de movimentação e alimentação das lagartas, na fase vegetativa da cultivar de algodão BRS 369 RF. Plantas emitindo botões florais foram utilizadas para estudar o comportamento de oviposição das mariposas. Para isso, utilizou-se delineamento inteiramente casualizado, com três tratamentos (faces adaxial e abaxial da folha e botões florais) e vinte repetições (plantas em vasos). Para avaliar o comportamento das lagartas na fase vegetativa do algodoeiro, adotou-se outro delineamento fatorial 3 × 5, com nove repetições. Os tratamentos foram três idades (1º, 2º e 3º ínstares) combinadas com cinco comportamentos (caminhar, repousar, acenar, comer e cair). Neste ensaio, o período do dia em que as lagartas são mais ativas também foi avaliado. Constatou-se que as mariposas de H. armigera preferem ovipositar na face adaxial da folha e nos dois últimos nós da planta, em direção descendente. A face adaxial da folha também é a parte da planta preferida pelas lagartas para caminhar, comer e repousar, sendo este último comportamento o mais frequente em todos os ínstares. Em geral, as lagartas caminham mais no período matutino.
