The far-infrared (FIR) - radio correlation (FRC) is one of the most promising empirical constraints on the role of cosmic-rays (CRs) and magnetic fields (\textbf{B}) in galaxy formation and evolution. While many theories have been proposed in order to explain the emergence and maintenance of the FRC across a gamut of galaxy properties and redshift, the non-linear physics at play remain unexplored in full complexity and cosmological context. We present the first reproduction of the $z \sim 0$ FRC using detailed synthetic observations of state-of-the-art cosmological zoom-in simulations from the FIRE-3 suite with explicitly-evolved CR proton and electron (CRe) spectra, for three models for CR transport and multi-channel AGN feedback. In doing so, we generally verify the predictions of `calorimeter' theories at high FIR luminosities (\Lsixty\, $\gtrsim$ 10$^{9.5}$) and at low FIR luminosities (\Lsixty\, $\lesssim$ 10$^{9.5}$) the so-called `conspiracy' of increasing ultraviolet radiation escape in tandem with increasing CRe escape, and find that the global FRC is insensitive to \textit{orders-of-magnitude} locally-variable CR transport coefficients. Importantly, the indirect effect of AGN feedback on emergent observables highlights novel interpretations of outliers in the FRC. In particular, we find that in many cases, `radio-excess' objects can be better understood as \textit{IR-dim} objects with longer-lived radio contributions at low $z$ from Type Ia SNe and intermittent black hole accretion in quenching galaxies, though this is sensitive to the interplay of CR transport and AGN feedback physics. We present an analysis of \textit{HST}/COS/G160M observations of CIV in the inner circumgalactic medium (CGM) of a novel sample of eight z$\sim$0, L$\approx$L$^{\star}$ galaxies, paired with UV-bright QSOs at impact parameters ($R_\mathrm{proj}$) between 25-130 kpc. The galaxies in this stellar-mass-controlled sample (log$_{10}$M$_{\star}$/M$_{\odot}$ $\sim$ 10.2-10.9 M$_{\odot}$) host super-massive black holes (SMBHs) with dynamically-measured masses spanning log$_{10}$M$_\mathrm{BH}$/M$_{\odot}$ $\sim$ 6.8-8.4; this allows us to compare our results with models of galaxy formation where the integrated feedback history from the SMBH alters the CGM over long timescales. We find that the \ion{C}{IV} column density measurements (N$_{\rm C IV}$) (average log$_{10}$N$_{\rm C IV, CH}$ = 13.94$\pm$0.09 cm$^{-2}$) are largely consistent with existing measurements from other surveys of N$_{\rm C IV}$ in the CGM (average log$_{10}$N$_{\rm C IV, Lit}$ = 13.90$\pm$0.08 cm$^{-2}$), but do not show obvious variation as a function of the SMBH mass. In contrast, specific star-formation rate (sSFR) is highly correlated with the ionized content of the CGM. We find a large spread in sSFR for galaxies with log$_{10}$M$_\mathrm{BH}$/M$_{\odot}$ $>$ 7.0, where the CGM \ion{C}{IV} content shows clear dependence on galaxy sSFR but not M$_\mathrm{BH}$. Our results do not indicate an obvious causal link between CGM CIV and the mass of the galaxy's SMBH; however through comparisons to the EAGLE, Romulus25, $\&$ IllustrisTNG simulations, we find that our sample is likely too small to constrain such causality., Comment: Accepted to ApJ, 28 pages, 7 figures

In this paper an agent-based simulation is developed in order to evaluate an AmI scenario based on agents. Many AmI applications are implemented through agents but they are not compared to any other existing alternative in order to evaluate the relative benefits of using them. The proposal simulation environment developed in Netlogo analyse such benefits using two evaluation criteria: First, measuring agent satisfaction of different types of desires along the execution. Second, measuring time savings obtained through a correct use of context information. So, here, a previously suggested agent architecture, an ontology and a 12-steps protocol to provide AmI services in airports, is evaluated using a NetLogo simulation environment. The present work uses a NetLogo model considering scalability problems of this application domain but using FIPA and BDI extensions to be coherent with our previous works and our previous JADE implementation of them. The NetLogo model presented simulates an airport with agent users passing through several zones located in a specific order in a map: passport controls, check-in counters of airline companies, boarding gates, different types of shopping. Although initial data in simulations are generated randomly, and the model is just an approximation of real-world airports, the definition of this case of use of Ambient Intelligence through NetLogo agents opens an interesting way to evaluate the benefits of using Ambient Intelligence, which is a significant contribution to the final development of them.

The interaction between supermassive black hole (SMBH) feedback and the circumgalactic medium (CGM) continues to be an open question in galaxy evolution. In our study, we use SPH simulations to explore the impact of SMBH feedback on galactic metal retention and the motion of metals and gas into and through the CGM of L$_{*}$ galaxies. We examine 140 galaxies from the 25 Mpc cosmological volume, Romulus25, with stellar masses between 3 $\times$ 10$^{9}$ - 3 $\times$ 10$^{11}$ M$_{\odot}$. We measure the fraction of metals remaining in the ISM and CGM of each galaxy, and calculate the expected mass of its SMBH based on the $M-\sigma$ relation. The deviation of each SMBH from its expected mass, $\Delta M_{BH}$ is compared to the potential of its host via $\sigma$. We find that SMBHs with accreted mass above the empirical $M-\sigma$ relation are about 15\% more effective at removing metals from the ISM than under-massive SMBHs in star forming galaxies. Over-massive SMBHs suppress the overall star formation of their host galaxies and more effectively move metals from the ISM into the CGM. However, we see little evidence for the evacuation of gas from their halos, in contrast with other simulations. Finally, we predict that C IV column densities in the CGM of L$_{*}$ galaxies may depend on host galaxy SMBH mass. We use hydrodynamical simulations of two Milky Way-mass galaxies to demonstrate the impact of cosmic-ray pressure on the kinematics of cool and warm circumgalactic gas. Consistent with previous studies, we find that cosmic-ray pressure can dominate over thermal pressure in the inner 50 kpc of the circumgalactic medium (CGM), creating an overall cooler CGM than that of similar galaxy simulations run without cosmic rays. We generate synthetic sightlines of the simulated galaxies' CGM and use Voigt profile fitting methods to extract ion column densities, Doppler-b parameters, and velocity centroids of individual absorbers. We directly compare these synthetic spectral line fits with HST/COS CGM absorption-line data analyses, which tend to show that metallic species with a wide range of ionization potential energies are often kinematically aligned. Compared to the Milky-Way simulation run without cosmic rays, the presence of cosmic-ray pressure in the inner CGM creates narrower OVI absorption features and broader SiIII absorption features, a quality which is more consistent with observational data. Additionally, because the cool gas is buoyant due to nonthermal cosmic-ray pressure support, the velocity centroids of both cool and warm gas tend to align in the simulated Milky Way with feedback from cosmic rays. An application of the Soil Moisture Agricultural Drought Index (SMADI) at the global scale is presented. The index integrates surface soil moisture from the SMOS mission with land surface temperature (LST) and Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI) from MODIS and allows for global drought monitoring at medium spatial scales (0.05 deg).. Biweekly maps of SMADI were obtained from year 2010 to 2015 over all agricultural areas on Earth. The SMADI time-series were compared with state-of-the-art drought indices over the Iberian Peninsula. Results show a good agreement between SMADI and the Crop Moisture Index (CMI) retrieved at five weather stations (with correlation coefficient, R from -0.64 to -0.79) and the Soil Water Deficit Index (SWDI) at the Soil Moisture Measurement Stations Network of the University of Salamanca (REMEDHUS) (R=-0.83). Some preliminary tests were also made over the continental United States using the Vegetation Drought Response Index (VegDRI), with very encouraging results regarding the spatial occurrence of droughts during summer seasons. Additionally, SMADI allowed to identify distinctive patterns of regional drought over the Indian Peninsula in spring of 2012. Overall results support the use of SMADI for monitoring agricultural drought events world-wide.

Using the N-body+Smoothed particle hydrodynamics code, ChaNGa, we identify two merger-driven processes\textemdash disk disruption and supermassive black hole (SMBH) feedback\textemdash which work together to quench L$^*$ galaxies for over 7 Gyr. Specifically, we examine the cessation of star formation in a simulated Milky Way (MW) analog, driven by an interaction with two minor satellites. Both interactions occur within $\sim$100 Myr of each other, and the satellites both have masses 5 to 20 times smaller than that of their MW-like host galaxy. Using the genetic modification process of \cite{Roth2016}, we generate a set of four zoom-in, MW-mass galaxies all of which exhibit unique star formation histories due to small changes to their assembly histories. In two of these four cases, the galaxy is quenched by $z = 1$. Because these are controlled modifications, we are able to isolate the effects of two closely-spaced minor merger events, the relative timing of which determines whether the MW-mass main galaxy quenches. This one-two punch works to: 1. fuel the primary halo's supermassive black hole (SMBH) at its peak accretion rate; and 2. disrupt the cold, gaseous disk of the host galaxy. The end result is that feedback from the SMBH thoroughly and abruptly ends the galaxy's star formation by $z\approx1$. We search for and find a similar quenching event in {\sc Romulus25}, a hydrodynamical $(25\,\mathrm{Mpc})^3$ volume simulation, demonstrating that the mechanism is common enough to occur even in a small sample of MW-mass quenched galaxies at $z=0$., Comment: 12 pages, 9 figures, accepted to ApJ

We compare the maximal abundance of massive systems predicted in different dynamical dark energy (DDE) models at high redshifts z = 4-7 with the measured abundance of the most massive galaxies observed to be already in place at such redshifts. The aim is to derive constraints for the evolution of the dark energy equation of state parameter w which are complementary to existing probes. We adopt the standard parametrization for the DDE evolution in terms of the local value w_0 and of the look-back time derivative w_a of the equation of state. We derive constraints on combinations (w_0, w_a) in the different DDE models by using three different, independent probes: (i) the observed stellar mass function of massive objects at z = 6 derived from the CANDELS survey; (ii) the estimated volume density of massive halos derived from the observation of massive, star-forming galaxies detected in the submillimeter range at z = 4; (iii) The rareness of he most massive system (estimated gas mass exceeding 3 10^11 M_sun) observed to be in place at z = 7, a far-infrared-luminous object recently detected in the South Pole Telescope (SPT) survey. Finally, we show that the combination of our results from the three above probes excludes a sizable fraction of the DDE parameter space w_a > -3/4 - (w_0 + 3/2) presently allowed (or even favored) by existing probes., Comment: 18 pages, accepted for publication in The Astrophysical journal. We examine the effects of SMBH feedback on the CGM using a cosmological hydrodynamic simulation \citep[{\sc Romulus25};][]{Tremmel2017} and a set of four zoom-in `genetically modified' Milky Way-mass galaxies sampling different evolutionary paths. By tracing the distribution of metals in the circumgalactic medium (CGM), we show that \ion{O}{6} is a sensitive indicator of supermassive black hole (SMBH) feedback. First, we calculate the column densities of \ion{O}{6} in simulated Milky Way-mass galaxies and compare them with observations from the COS-Halos Survey. Our simulations show column densities of \ion{O}{6} in the CGM consistent with those of COS-Halos star forming and quenched galaxies. These results contrast with those from previous simulation studies which typically underproduce CGM column densities of \ion{O}{6}. We determine that a galaxy's star formation history and assembly record have little effect on the amount of \ion{O}{6} in its CGM. Instead, column densities of \ion{O}{6} are closely tied to galaxy halo mass and BH growth history. Using a new, high-resolution cosmological hydrodynamic simulation of a Milky Way-type (MW-type) galaxy, we explore how a merger-rich assembly history affects the mass budget of the central supermassive black hole (SMBH). We examine a MW-mass halo at the present epoch whose evolution is characterized by several major mergers to isolate the importance of merger history on black hole accretion. This study is an extension of Bellovary et. al. 2013, which analyzed the accretion of high mass, high redshift galaxies and their central black holes, and found that the gas content of the central black hole reflects what is accreted by the host galaxy halo. In this study, we find that a merger-rich galaxy will have a central SMBH preferentially fed by merger gas. Moreover, we find that nearly 30$\%$ of the accreted mass budget of the SMBH enters the galaxy through the two major mergers in its history, which may account for the increase of merger-gas fueling the SMBH. Through an investigation of the angular momentum of the gas entering the host and its SMBH, we determine that merger gas enters the galaxy with lower angular momentum compared to smooth accretion, partially accounting for the preferential fueling witnessed in the SMBH. In addition, the presence of mergers, particularly major mergers, also helps funnel low angular momentum gas more readily to the center of the galaxy. Our results imply that galaxy mergers play an important role in feeding the SMBH in MW-type galaxies with merger-rich histories. We show that the recently measured UV luminosity functions of ultra-faint lensed galaxies at z= 6 in the Hubble Frontier Fields provide an unprecedented probe for the mass m_X of the Warm Dark Matter candidates independent of baryonic physics. Comparing the measured abundance of the faintest galaxies with the maximum number density of dark matter halos in WDM cosmologies sets a robust limit m_X> 2.9 keV for the mass of thermal relic WDM particles at a 1-sigma confidence level, m_X> 2.4 keV at 2-sigma, and m_X> 2.1 keV at 3-sigma. These constitute the tightest constraints on WDM particle mass derived to date independently of the baryonic physics involved in galaxy formation. We discuss the impact of our results on the production mechanism of sterile neutrinos. In particular, if sterile neutrinos are responsible for the 3.5 keV line reported in observations of X-ray clusters, our results firmly rule out the Dodelson-Widrow production mechanism, and yield m_{sterile}> 6.1 keV for sterile neutrinos produced via the Shi-Fuller mechanism., Comment: Accepted for publication in ApJL, 7 pages

We present a new method for interferometric imaging that is ideal for the large fields of view and compact arrays common in 21 cm cosmology. We first demonstrate the method with simulations for two very different low frequency interferometers, the Murchison Widefield Array (MWA) and the MIT Epoch of Reionization (MITEoR) Experiment. We then apply the method to the MITEoR data set collected in July 2013 to obtain the first northern sky map from 128 MHz to 175 MHz at about 2 degree resolution, and find an overall spectral index of -2.73+/-0.11. The success of this imaging method bodes well for upcoming compact redundant low-frequency arrays such as HERA. We present a comprehensive review of keV-scale sterile neutrino Dark Matter, collecting views and insights from all disciplines involved - cosmology, astrophysics, nuclear, and particle physics - in each case viewed from both theoretical and experimental/observational perspectives. After reviewing the role of active neutrinos in particle physics, astrophysics, and cosmology, we focus on sterile neutrinos in the context of the Dark Matter puzzle. Here, we first review the physics motivation for sterile neutrino Dark Matter, based on challenges and tensions in purely cold Dark Matter scenarios. We then round out the discussion by critically summarizing all known constraints on sterile neutrino Dark Matter arising from astrophysical observations, laboratory experiments, and theoretical considerations. In this context, we provide a balanced discourse on the possibly positive signal from X-ray observations. Another focus of the paper concerns the construction of particle physics models, aiming to explain how sterile neutrinos of keV-scale masses could arise in concrete settings beyond the Standard Model of elementary particle physics. We compute the mass function of galactic dark matter halos for different values of the Warm Dark Matter (WDM) particle mass m_X and compare it with the abundance of ultra-faint galaxies derived from the deepest UV luminosity function available so far at redshift z~2. The magnitude limit M_UV=-13 reached by such observations allows us to probe the WDM mass functions down to scales close to or smaller than the half-mass mode mass scale ~10^9 M_sun. This allowed for an efficient discrimination among predictions for different m_X which turn out to be independent of the star formation efficiency adopted to associate the observed UV luminosities of galaxies to the corresponding dark matter masses. Adopting a conservative approach to take into account the existing theoretical uncertainties in the galaxy halo mass function, we derive a robust limit m_X>1.8 keV for the mass of thermal relic WDM particles when comparing with the measured abundance of the faintest galaxies, while m_X>1.5 keV is obtained when we compare with the Schechter fit to the observed luminosity function. The corresponding lower limit for sterile neutrinos depends on the modeling of the production mechanism; for instance m_sterile > 4 keV holds for the Shi-Fuller mechanism. We discuss the impact of observational uncertainties on the above bound on m_X. As a baseline for comparison with forthcoming observations from the HST Frontier Field, we provide predictions for the abundance of faint galaxies with M_UV=-13 for different values of m_X and of the star formation efficiency, valid up to z~4., Comment: 14 pages, 3 figures. We find the distribution function f(E) for dark matter (DM) halos in galaxies and the corresponding equation of state from the (empirical) DM density profiles derived from observations. We solve for DM in galaxies the analogous of the Eddington equation originally used for the gas of stars in globular clusters. The observed density profiles are a good realistic starting point and the distribution functions derived from them are realistic. We do not make any assumption about the DM nature, the methods developed here apply to any DM kind, though all results are consistent with Warm DM. With these methods we find: (i) Cored density profiles behaving quadratically for small distances rho(r) r -> 0 = rho(0) - K r^2 produce distribution functions which are finite and positive at the halo center while cusped density profiles always produce divergent distribution functions at the center. (ii) Cored density profiles produce approximate thermal Boltzmann distribution functions for r < 3 r_h where r_h is the halo radius. (iii) Analytic expressions for the dispersion velocity and the pressure are derived yielding an ideal DM gas equation of state with local temperature T(r) = m v^2(r)/3. T(r) turns to be constant in the same region where the distribution function is thermal and exhibits the same temperature within the percent. The self-gravitating DM gas can thermalize despite being collisionless because it is an ergodic system. (iv) The DM halo can be consistently considered at local thermal equilibrium with: (a) a constant temperature T(r) = T_0 for r < 3 \; r_h, (b) a space dependent temperature T(r) for 3 r_h < r < R_{virial}, which slowly decreases with r. That is, the DM halo is realistically a collisionless self-gravitating thermal gas for r < R_{virial}. The Thomas-Fermi approach to galaxy structure determines selfconsistently and nonlinearly the gravitational potential of the fermionic WDM particles given their quantum distribution function f(E). Galaxy magnitudes as the halo radius r_h, mass M_h, velocity dispersion and phase space density are obtained. We derive the general equation of state for galaxies (relation between the pressure and the density), and provide an analytic expression. This clearly exhibits two regimes: (i) Large diluted galaxies for M_h > 2.3 10^6 Msun corresponding to temperatures T_0 > 0.017 K, described by the classical self gravitating WDM Boltzman regime and (ii) Compact dwarf galaxies for 1.6 10^6 Msun > M_h>M_{h,min}=30000 (2keV/m)^{16/5} Msun, T_0<0.011 K described by the quantum fermionic WDM regime. The T_0=0 degenerate quantum limit predicts the most compact and smallest galaxy (minimal radius and mass M_{h,min}). All magnitudes in the diluted regime exhibit square root of M_h scaling laws and are universal functions of r/r_h when normalized to their values at the origin or at r_h. We find that universality in galaxies (for M_h > 10^6 Msun) reflects the WDM perfect gas behaviour. These theoretical results contrasted to robust and independent sets of galaxy data remarkably reproduce the observations. For the small galaxies, 10^6>M_h>M_{h,min} corresponding to effective temperatures T_0 < 0.017 K, the equation of state is galaxy dependent and the profiles are no more universal. These non-universal properties in small galaxies account to the quantum physics of the WDM fermions in the compact regime. The Thomas-Fermi approach to galaxy structure determines selfconsistently the fermionic warm dark matter (WDM) gravitational potential given the distribution function f(E). This framework is appropriate for macroscopic quantum systems: neutron stars, white dwarfs and WDM galaxies. Compact dwarf galaxies follow from the quantum degenerate regime, while dilute and large galaxies from the classical Boltzmann regime. We find analytic scaling relations for the main galaxy magnitudes as halo radius r_h, mass M_h and phase space density. The observational data for a large variety of galaxies are all well reproduced by these theoretical scaling relations. For the compact dwarfs, our results show small deviations from the scaling due to quantum macroscopic effects. We contrast the theoretical curves for the circular velocities and density profiles with the observational ones. All these results are independent of any WDM particle physics model, they only follow from the gravity interaction of the WDM particles and their fermionic nature. The theory rotation and density curves reproduce very well for r < r_h the observations of 10 different and independent sets of data for galaxy masses from 5x10^9 Msun till 5x10^{11} Msun. Our normalized circular velocity curves turn to be universal functions of r/r_h for all galaxies and reproduce very well the observational curves for r < r_h. Analytic formulas reproducing the warm dark matter (WDM) primordial spectra are obtained for WDM particles decoupling in and out of thermal equilibrium which provide the initial data for WDM non-linear structure formation. We compute and analyze the corresponding WDM overdensities and compare them to the CDM case. We consider the ratio of the WDM to CDM primordial spectrum and the WDM to CDM overdensities: they turn to be self-similar functions of k/k_{1/2} and R/R_{1/2} respectively, k_{1/2} and R_{1/2} being the wavenumber and length where the WDM spectrum and overdensity are 1/2 of the respective CDM magnitudes. Both k_{1/2} and R_{1/2} show scaling as powers of the WDM particle mass m while the self-similar functions are independent of m. The WDM primordial spectrum sharply decreases around k_{1/2} with respect to the CDM spectrum, while the WDM overdensity slowly decreases around R_{1/2}. The nonlinear regions where WDM structure formation takes place are shown and compared to those in CDM: the WDM non-linear structures start to form later than in CDM, and as a general trend, decreasing the DM particle mass delays the onset of the non-linear regime. The non-linear regime starts earlier for smaller objects than for larger ones; smaller objects can form earlier both in WDM and CDM. We compute and analyze the differential mass function dN/dM for WDM at redshift z in the Press-Schechter approach. The WDM suppression effect of small scale structure increases with the redshift z. Our results for dN/dM are useful to be contrasted with observations, in particular for 4 < z < 12. We perfom all these studies for the most popular WDM particle physics models. News and reviews from ACT,WMAP,SPT,QUIET,Planck,Herschel,JWST,UFFO,KATRIN and MARE experiments; astrophysics, particle and nuclear physics WDM searches, galactic observations, related theory and simulations, with the aim of synthesis and clarification. Effective (Ginsburg-Landau) Inflation theory predicts r about 0.04-0.05, negligeable running of ns, the inflation energy scale (GUT scale) and the set of CMB observables in agreement with the data. WMAP9 and Planck measurements are compatible with one or two Majorana sterile neutrinos in the eV mass scale. Cored (non cusped) DM halos and keV WDM are strongly favored by theory and observations, Wimps are strongly disfavoured. LambdaCDM with baryons do not work at small scales. Inside galaxy cores, quantum WDM effects are important. Quantum WDM calculations (Thomas-Fermi) provide galaxy masses, velocity dispersions and cored profiles and their sizes in agreement with observations. A WDM fermion of about 2 keV naturally reproduces galaxy, large scale and cosmological observations. WDM keV particles deserve dedicated astronomical and laboratory searches, theoretical work and numerical simulations. KATRIN can be adapted to look to keV scale sterile neutrinos. It will be a fantastic discovery to detect dark matter in beta decay. Warm Dark Matter(WDM), considerably clarifies and simplifies galaxies and galaxy formation in agreement with observations. WDM essentially works, naturally reproducing the astronomical observations over all scales, small (galactic) as well as large and cosmological scales.Evidence that CDM, CDM+baryons and proposed tailored cures do not work in galaxies is staggering, The Chalonge Meudon Workshop 2012 approached DM in a fourfold coherent way: astronomical observations (galaxy and cluster properties, haloes, rotation curves, density profiles, surface density), LambdaWDM N-body simulations, WDM theory (Boltzmann-Vlasov evolution, halo mass functions, halo models, improved perturbative approachs), quantum WDM fermions forming the observed cores, WDM particle and nuclear physics (sterile neutrinos) and its experimental search. Warm dark matter (WDM) means DM particles with mass m in the keV scale. For large scales, (structures beyond ~ 100 kpc) WDM and CDM yield identical results which agree with observations. For intermediate scales, WDM gives the correct abundance of substructures. Inside galaxy cores, below ~ 100 pc, N-body WDM classical physics simulations are incorrect because at such scales quantum WDM effects are important. WDM quantum calculations (Thomas-Fermi approach) provide galaxy cores, galaxy masses, velocity dispersions and density profiles in agreement with the observations. For a dark matter particle decoupling at thermal equilibrium (thermal relic), all evidences point out to a 2 keV particle. Remarkably enough, sterile neutrinos decouple out of thermal equilibrium with a primordial power spectrum similar to a 2 keV thermal relic when the sterile neutrino mass is about 7 keV. Therefore, WDM can be formed by 7 keV sterile neutrinos. Excitingly enough, Bulbul et al. (2014) announced the detection of a cluster X-ray emission line that could correspond to the decay of a 7.1 keV sterile neutrino and to a neutrino decay mixing angle of \sin^2 2 \theta ~ 7 10^{-11} . This is a further argument in favour of sterile neutrino WDM. Baryons, represent 10 % of DM or less in galaxies and are expected to give a correction to pure WDM results. The detection of the DM particle depends upon the particle physics model. Sterile neutrinos with keV scale mass (the main WDM candidate) can be detected in beta decay for Tritium and Renium and in the electron capture in Holmiun. The sterile neutrino decay into X rays can be detected observing DM dominated galaxies and through the distortion of the black-body CMB spectrum. So far, not a single valid objection arose against WDM., Comment: 18 pages, 7 figures.
