The main environmental problems generated by companies in the textile, apparel and footwearchains are related to the pollution of soil, air, water, inadequate disposal of solid andliquid waste that cause impacts on the environment and are harmful to the health of thepopulation. Thus, the main objective of this article is to evaluate the technical feasibility ofmanufacturing seamless fabric, made in knitting machines, using as raw materials fibersfrom woven, knits and non-woven fabrics discarded from the textile industries in the city ofIbitinga (São Paulo, Brazil). Parts from fabrics, knits and non-woven fabrics were selected,with 100% polyester composition. The textiles were cut in an automatic cutter and shreddedin a shredder. The shredded fibers from the textiles were mixed with recycled polyester fibers(PET), using the proportion of 50% shredded fibers and 50% recycled polyester (PET),the fibers were spun in a ring spinning and then transformed into knitted fabrics. The articlesproduced show that there is feasibility for the fabrication of seamless knitted uppers usingthe circular economy model. Los principales problemas ambientales que generan las empresas de las cadenas textil,confección y calzado están relacionados con la contaminación del suelo, aire, agua, disposicióninadecuada de residuos sólidos y líquidos que provocan impactos en el medioambiente y son nocivos para la salud de la población. Así, el principal objetivo de esteartículo es evaluar la viabilidad técnica de la fabricación de mallas sin costura, realizadasen máquinas de tricotar rectas, utilizando como materia prima fibras de retazos de tejidosplanos, tejidos de punto y textiles notejidos desechados de las industrias textile de la ciudadde Ibitinga (São Paulo, Brasil). Se seleccionaron partes de tejidos, tejidos de punto y notejidos (rellenos), con composición 100% poliéster. Las partes se cortaron en un cortadorautomático y se trituraron en una trituradora. Las fibras trituradas se mezclaron con fibrasde poliéster recicladas (PET), utilizando la proporción de 50% de fibras trituradas y 50% depoliéster reciclado (PET), las fibras se hilaron en un hilado de anillos y luego se transformaronen tejidos de punto. Assim, o principal objetivo deste artigo é avaliar a viabilidade técnica da fabricação de cabedais de malha sem costura, confeccionados em máquinas retilíneas de malharia, utilizando como matérias-primas fibras oriundas de aparas de tecidos, de malhas e de tecidos nãotecidos (enchimentos) descartadas das indústrias de confecção da cidade de Ibitinga (São Paulo, Brasil). Foram selecionadas aparas de tecidos, de malhas e de tecidos nãotecidos (enchimentos), com composição 100% poliéster. As aparas foram cortadas em uma cortadeira automática e desfibradas em uma desfibradora. As fibras desfibradas das aparas foram misturadas com fibras de poliéster reciclado (PET), utilizando a proporção de 50% fibras desfibradas e 50% Poliéster reciclado (PET), as fibras foram fiadas em uma fiação de anéis e em seguida transformados em tecidos de malha. Os artigos produzidos mostram que existe viabilidade para a fabricação de cabedais de malha sem costura usando o modelo de economia circular.

Instruments and techniques used in the Textile printing process often influence the result of image reproduction. Information on the different types of digital textile printing technologies was collected through bibliographic research as well as on printed samples. For the purpose of analyzing how digital textile printing influences image reproduction, this study presents different samples with different fabrics to understand those relevant factors. 100% cotton and 100% polyester plain weave fabrics with different patterns and 100% polyester jersey were selected in the retail market for printing tests with a single file containing several images.The images were printed at three resolutions: 300, 150 and 72 PPI. The 150 PPI images were excluded from this article, as they did not have significant differences compared to theothers. The experimental results show that there are differences between the characteristics studied in the images with a resolution of 300 PPI and 72 PPI, which allows a set of practical information regarding digital printing technology on textile substrates to be organized. Il risultato della riproduzione dell'immagine nella stampa tessile è spesso influenzato dagli strumenti e dalle tecniche utilizzate nel suo processo di produzione. Attraverso ricerche bibliografiche e prove di stampa, sono state raccolte informazioni sulle tecnologie utilizzate nella stampa digitale, al fine di analizzare l'influenza di questo processo sulla stampa e riproduzione di immagini, su diversi substrati tessili e per comprendere i fattori rilevanti di questo processo. Sul mercato sono stati selezionati tessuti piatti di varie fantasie, secondo la composizione 100% cotone e 100% poliestere e la composizione mezza maglia 100% poliestere, questi sono stati stampati da un unico file con immagini differenti. Le immagini sono state stampate in tre risoluzioni: 300, 150 e 72 PPI. Le immagini con 150 PPI sono state escluse da questo articolo perché non presentavano differenze significative rispetto alle altre. I risultati sperimentali mostrano che ci sono differenze significative tra le caratteristiche studiate nelle immagini con una risoluzione di 300 PPI e 72 PPI e consente di organizzare uma serie di pratiche informative sulla tecnologia di stampa digitale su substrati tessili. O resultado da reprodução de imagens na impressão têxtil é muitas vezes influenciado por instrumentos e técnicas utilizadas no seu processo produtivo. Por meio de pesquisabibliográfica e testes de impressão foram coletadas informações sobre as tecnologias utilizadas na estamparia digital, com o objetivo de analisar a influência deste processo na impressão e na reprodução de imagens, sobre diferentes substratos têxteis e compreender os fatores relevantes deste processo. Foram selecionados no mercado tecidos planos de várias padronagens, de composição 100% algodão e 100% poliéster e tecido de meia malha de composição 100% poliéster, estes foram impressos a partir de um único arquivo com diferentes imagens. As imagens foram impressas em três resoluções: 300, 150 e 72 PPI. As imagens com 150 PPI foram excluídas deste artigo por não apresentarem diferenças significativas quando comparadas as demais. Os resultados experimentais mostram que existem diferenças significativas entre as características estudadas nas imagens com resolução de 300 PPI e 72 PPI e permite organizar um conjunto de informações práticas referentes a tecnologia de impressão digital em substratos têxteis.

Orientador: Franco Giuseppe Dedini Tese (doutorado) - Universidade Estadual de Campinas, Faculdade de Engenharia Mecanica Resumo: As características que determinam a qualidade de um produto de vestuário começam com a seleção das matérias primas, fibras, fios e tecidos, passando pelas fases de criação, desenvolvimento, confecção e acabamento. O objetivo deste trabalho é propor um procedimento para a seleção de matéria prima que será utilizada na fabricação de artigos para vestuário. Foram escolhidos fios de algodão, visando à produção de artigos confortáveis e fios de poliamida e de poliéster texturados ao ar, que possibilitam a produção de artigos com aspecto e toque de fibra natural. Para cada matéria prima, foi montado um planejamento fatorial 22, com o objetivo de identificar os fatores de controle da máquina circular que irão influenciar nas características das malhas. Utilizando a programação linear foi feita a otimização dos parâmetros de controle da máquina e produzidos tecidos de malha com mesmas características. A seleção da matéria prima ideal para a produção dos artigos foi feita utilizando o AHP ¿ Método de Análise Hierárquica Abstract: The characteristics which determine the quality of a clothing product begin with the choice of raw materials, fibers, yarns and fabrics passing through the creation, development, apparel industry and finishing. The purpose of this work is to propose a proceeding for helping the development of textile products. Cotton yarns were chosen aiming at the production of comfortable goods and polyamide and polyester air textured yarns, which enable the production of goods with natural fiber look and hand. For each raw material, it was provided a 22 factorial design, aiming at identifying the control factors of the circular machine which influence the knitted fabrics. Using the linear programming, the optimization of the machine control parameters was done and knitted fabrics, with the same characteristics, were produced. This article aims to investigate and experiment environmentally sustainable solutions using cotton knit waste and hand knitting to develop new fashion products. The knit waste came from imperfect knit fabrics discarded by industries and circular knit garments discarded by consumers. The tool used as a creative mean of development was the morphological chart, which allowed approximately one hundred and fifty ideas of garments to be generated. Five ideas were identified as main product concept. A prototype of a vest was made to test the viability of the use of the morphological chart do develop a creative fashion product. The reproducibility of the methodology was successfully tested by handcraft artists that work with hand knitting.

This literature review explores the problem of post-consumption of green coconut in Brazil. It starts by offering an analysis of the general aspects of the coconut industry and its derivatives. It also highlights the origins of coconut by-products, as well as the impacts of the industry in rural and urban management. The properties and potential uses of coconut by-products are also evaluated. The review presents diverse theoretical approaches regarding the concept of sustainable development as applied to product design. Results reveal a wide range of potential applications of coconut by-products in the field of engineering, although there is still an evident lack of research into the management and logistics of the coconut production chain. We argue that the concept of sustainability must be interpreted broadly, but also objectively, in any future research in order to facilitate the sustainable consumption and post-consumption of the green coconut., Esta revisão explora problema do pós-consumo do coco verde no Brasil. Inicialmente foi feita uma investigação sobre os aspectos gerais da indústria do coco e de seus derivados. A origem da geração dos subprodutos do coco e as consequências de tal indústria para a gestão rural e urbana também foram apontados. Em seguida, foram pesquisados artigos e relatórios científicos para conferir as propriedades e as possíveis aplicações dos subprodutos de coco. Para complementar, foram apresentadas diferentes visões sobre o conceito teórico do desenvolvimento sustentável aplicado ao design de produtos. Como resultado, a literatura cobre uma variada gama de aplicações para os subprodutos do coco em engenharia, entretanto, carece de pesquisas na área de gestão e logística da cadeia do coco. Conclui-se que os conceitos de sustentabilidade devem ser interpretados de forma ampla e objetiva em pesquisas futuras a fim de viabilizar o consumo e o pós-consumo sustentável da fruta.

Sustainability as an approach to the contemporary textile and fashion design; not only linked to the environmental vision but concerning the economy, respect for people's work and production. “A new dominant social paradigm (DSP) would focus on creating apparel products that are more efficient in material use, production and consumer utility, as well as better meeting the human needs of the consumer base, inherently more social than material needs. Similarly, clothing education in the dominant new social paradigm would promote the development of skills that would most likely include understanding human needs and ecosystem limitations, working collaboratively with the market rather than trying to dominate it and an understanding of local culture and tradition " (LeHew, 2011). Sustentabilidade como abordagem ao design contemporâneo têxtil e de moda; não só ligada à visão ambiental, mas no que diz respeito à economia, ao respeito pelo trabalho das pessoas e à produção. “Um novo paradigma social dominante (DSP) se concentraria na criação de produtos de vestuário mais eficientes no uso de materiais, produção e utilidade para o consumidor, bem como em atender melhor às necessidades humanas da base de consumidores, inerentemente mais sociais do que materiais. Presume-se que a digitalização, impressão e customização de roupas é um futuro que já está em curso no momento presente. Por isso, projetar e analisar estruturas têxteis que incorpore esses aspectos, capazes de compor uma roupa é vantajoso para o seguimento, por se tratar de uma demanda existente. Assim, no presente trabalho, foram desenvolvidas estruturas têxteis customizadas e processadas por manufatura aditiva para compor uma camiseta, por meio de ferramentas de metodologias de projetos utilizadas para filtrar e restringir as opções existentes, que em seguidas foram analisadas por estudantes de design de moda, ou seja, futuros profissionais para definir a melhor aplicação no produto. Restringiu-se as soluções das modelagens pela ferramenta lógica fuzzy, que apesar de não ser uma metodologia, nessa pesquisa foi aplicada como uma, para tratar os parâmetros que mais variavam nas peças de forma mais eficiente conforme sua extensão. Utilizou-se as ferramentas metodológicas de projetos e quadro morfológico para a geração de um elevado número de possíveis soluções e Projetar para Excelência - Design for X (DFX) para que essas fossem filtradas, que compõe o estudo de viabilidade da camiseta, para definir quais partes da camiseta seria composta por tecido e quais por estruturas têxteis impressas, pois é nesta etapa que as decisões têm maior impacto no custo e na qualidade do produto. Logo, o objetivo da pesquisa foi agregar valor ao produto camiseta por meio de novas tecnologias e métodos de projetos Abstract: The textile industry is a competitive and flexible sector, aimed at demanding markets, becoming vital whenever it is necessary to aggregate new technologies. It is assumed that scanning, printing and customizing clothing is a future that is already underway at the present time. Therefore, designing and analyzing textile structures that incorporate these aspects, capable of composing a garment, is advantageous for the sector, as this is an existing demand. Thus, in the present paper, customized textile structures were developed and processed by additive manufacturing to compose a t-shirt, using project methodology tools used to filter and restrict the existing options, which were then analyzed by fashion design students, that is, future professionals to define the best application for the product. The modeling solutions were restricted by the fuzzy logic tool, which, despite not being a methodology, was applied in this research as one, to treat the parameters that varied the most in the pieces more efficiently according to their extension. Methodological tools of projects and morphological framework were used to generate a high number of possible solutions and DFX (Design for X - Design for Excellence) so that these were filtered, which makes up the viability study of the shirt, to define which ones parts of the shirt would be made up of pertinent textile structures, because it is at this stage that decisions have the greatest impact on the cost and quality of the product. Knitting technology: processes and main products ABSTRACT Currently, the uses and applications of textile products include those intended for domestic use (decorative textiles, furniture, etc.), passing through the wide field of clothing, on the one hand, linked to the great social and cultural phenomena of fashion, and, on the other, to professional or sports clothing, including the specialized segment of technical fabrics, with its great influence on technological innovations, with exponential growth in its applications and in its global technological demand. Within the textile activity, the knitting segment is one of the oldest, recovering its origin to the manual knitting process. Knitting technology is always evolving, and improvements in machine software systems and graphic design give technicians, designers and engineers more options for making technical fabrics. On the other hand, technological innovations in knitting machines are gradually making fashion more sustainable, through new forms of textile production that are more efficient, avoiding the waste of water, energy and raw materials in addition to eliminating pollution. In this article, some technological innovations used in the manufacture of knitted products will be presented.
