Financial stock return correlations have been analyzed through the lens of random matrix theory to differentiate the underlying signal from spurious correlations. The continuous spectrum of the eigenvalue distribution derived from the stock return correlation matrix typically aligns with a rescaled Marchenko-Pastur distribution, indicating no detectable signal. In this study, we introduce a stochastic field theory model to establish a detection threshold for signals present in the limit where the eigenvalues are within the continuous spectrum, which itself closely resembles that of a random matrix where standard methods such as principal component analysis fail to infer a signal. We then apply our method to Standard & Poor's 500 financial stocks' return correlations, detecting the presence of a signal in the largest eigenvalues within the continuous spectrum., Comment: 12 pages, 7 fugures

This paper examines the quantum $(2+p)$-spin dynamics of a $N$-vector $\textbf{x}\in \mathbb{R}^N$ through the lens of renormalization group (RG) theory. The RG is based on a coarse-graining over the eigenvalues of matrix-like disorder, viewed as an effective kinetic whose eigenvalue distribution undergoes a deterministic law in the large $N$ limit. We focus our investigation on perturbation theory and vertex expansion for effective average action, which proves more amenable than standard nonperturbative approaches due to the distinct non-local temporal and replicative structures that emerge in the effective interactions following disorder integration. Our work entails the formulation of rules to address these non-localities within the framework of perturbation theory, culminating in the derivation of one-loop $\beta$-functions. This paper is the last of the series investigating renormalization group aspects of stochastic random matrices, including a Wigner-like disorder. We consider the equilibrium dynamics formalism that can be merged with the Ward identities arising from the large N effective kinetics. We construct a regulator that does not break time-reversal symmetry and show that the resulting flow equations reduce to the equilibrium flow built in our previous works. This paper, as a continuation of our previous investigation [arXiv:2403.07577] aims to study the glassy random matrices with quenched Wigner disorder. In this previous work, we have constructed a renormalization group based on the effective deterministic kinetic spectrum emerging from large $N$ limit, and we extended approximate solutions using standard vertex expansion, at the leading order of the derivative expansion. Now in the following work, by introducing the non-trivial Ward identities which come from the $(\mathcal{U}(N))^{\times 2}$ symmetry broken of the effective kinetic action, we provide in the deep IR the explicit solution of the functional renormalization group for a model with quartic coupling by solving the Hierarchy to all orders in the local sector, which in particular imply the vanishing of the anomalous dimension. The numerical investigations confirm the first-order phase transition discovered in the vertex expansion framework, both in the active and passive schemes. In this paper, we study the equilibrium states of a $N\times N$ stochastic complex random matrix $M$, whose entries evolve in time accordingly with a Langevin equation including both Gaussian white noises and a linear disorder, materialized by the Wigner random matrices. In large $N$-limit, the disorders behave as effective kinetics, and we examine a coarse-graining over the Wigner spectrum accordingly with two different schemes that we call respectively active and passive. We then investigate explicit solutions of the nonperturbative renormalization group using vertex and derivative expansion, a simple way to deal with the nonlocal nature of the effective field theory at large $N$. Our main statement is the existence of well-behaved fixed point solutions and at least some evidence about a discontinuous (first order) phase transition between a condensed and a dilute phase. The construction of fractional derivatives with the right properties for use in field theory is reputed to be a difficult task, essentially because of the absence of a unique definition and uniform properties. The conformable fractional derivative introduced in 2014 by Khalil et al. in their seminal paper is a novel and well-behaved definition of fractional derivative for a function which is derivable in the usual sense. In this paper, we investigate the consistency of the Euler-Lagrange formalism for a field theory defined on such a fractional space-time. We especially focus on the relation between symmetries and conservation laws (Noether's currents), about the symmetry group introduced to construct the Lagrangian of the field. In particular, we show that the use of the conformable derivative induces additional terms in the calculation of the action variation. We also investigate the conservation of the Noether current and show that this property only takes place on condition that the equations of motion are verified with a new definition of the conserved law., Comment: 9 pages, 2 figures

Signal detection is one of the main challenges of data science. As it often happens in data analysis, the signal in the data may be corrupted by noise. There is a wide range of techniques aimed at extracting the relevant degrees of freedom from data. However, some problems remain difficult. It is notably the case of signal detection in almost continuous spectra when the signal-to-noise ratio is small enough. This paper follows a recent bibliographic line which tackles this issue with field-theoretical methods. Previous analysis focused on equilibrium Boltzmann distributions for some effective field representing the degrees of freedom of data. It was possible to establish a relation between signal detection and $\mathbb{Z}_2$-symmetry breaking. In this paper, we consider a stochastic field framework inspiring by the so-called "Model A", and show that the ability to reach or not an equilibrium state is correlated with the shape of the dataset. In particular, studying the renormalization group of the model, we show that the weak ergodicity prescription is always broken for signals small enough, when the data distribution is close to the Marchenko-Pastur (MP) law. This, in particular, enables the definition of a detection threshold in the regime where the signal-to-noise ratio is small enough., Comment: 28 pages, 11 figures

The Ward-Takahashi identities are considered as the generalization of the Noether currents available to quantum field theory and include quantum fluctuation effects. Usually, they take the form of relations between correlation functions, which ultimately correspond to the relation between coupling constants of the theory. For this reason, they play a central role in the construction of renormalized theory, providing strong relations between counter-terms. Since last years, they have been intensively considered in the construction of approximate solutions for nonperturbative renormalization group of tensorial group field theories. The construction of these identities is based on the formal invariance of the partition function under a unitary transformation, and Ward's identities result from a first-order expansion around the identity. Due to the group structure of the transformation under consideration, it is expected that a first-order expansion is indeed sufficient. The probability laws associated with random tensors or tensor field theories are traditionally equilibrium distributions. In this paper, we consider a stochastic point of view, and approach the quantization by a Langevin type equation. We especially address the low-temperature behavior of the phase ordering kinetics of a stochastic complex tensor field $T_{i_1\cdots i_d}(x,t)$ of size $N$ and rank $d$ in dimension $D$. The method we propose use the self averaging property of the tensorial invariants in the large $N$ limit. In this regime, the dynamics is governed by the melonic sector, whose behavior is studied in the quenched limit, where the contractions involving $d-1$ indices self-average around a diagonal matrix proportional to the identity. The following work especially focuses on the cyclic (i.e. non-branching) melonic sector, and we study the way that the system returns to the equilibrium regime regarding the temperature and the shape of the potential. In particular, we provide a general formula for the transition temperature between these regimes. A statistical ensemble of neural networks can be described in terms of a quantum field theory (NN-QFT correspondence). The infinite-width limit is mapped to a free field theory, while finite N corrections are mapped to interactions. In this paper, we investigate the large-time behavior for a slightly modified version of the standard p=2 soft spins dynamics model, including a quartic or higher potential. The equilibrium states of such a model correspond to an effective field theory, which has been recently considered as a novel paradigm for signal detection in data science based on the renormalization group argument. We consider a Langevin-like equation, including a disorder term that leaves in the Wigner or Wishart ensemble. Then we construct a nonperturbative renormalization group formalism valid in the large N limit, where eigenvalues distributions for the disorder can be replaced by their analytic limits, namely the Wigner and Marchenko-Pastur laws. This paper aims to address the low-temperature dynamics issue for the $p=2$ spin dynamics with confining potential, focusing especially on quartic and sextic cases. Phase transitions with spontaneous symmetry breaking are expected for group field theories as a basic feature of the geometogenesis scenario. The following paper aims to investigate the equilibrium phase for group field theory by using the ergodic hypothesis on which the Gibbs-Boltzmann distributions must break down. The breaking of the ergodicity can be considered dynamically, by introducing a fictitious time inducing a stochastic process described through a Langevin equation, from which the randomness of the tensor field will be a consequence. This review paper uses renormalization group techniques for signal detection in nearly-continuous positive spectra. We highlight universal aspects of the analogue field-theory approach. The first aim is to present an extended self-consistent construction of the analogue effective field-theory framework for data, which can be viewed as a maximum entropy model. In particular and exploiting universality arguments, we justify the $\mathbb{Z}_2$-symmetry of the classical action and we stress the existence of a large-scale (local) regime and of a small-scale (nonlocal) regime. Secondly and related to noise models, we observe the universal relation between phase transition and symmetry breaking in the vicinity of the detection threshold. Finally, we discuss the issue of defining the covariance matrix for tensorial-like data. This paper aims at investigating the nonperturbative functional renormalization group for tensorial group field theories with nontrivial kinetic action and closure constraint. We consider the quartic melonic just-renormalizable $[U(1)]^6$ model and show that due to this closure constraint the first order Ward-Takahashi identity takes the trivial form as for the models with propagators proportional to identity. We then construct the new version of the effective vertex expansion applicable to this class of models, which in particular allows to close the hierarchical structure of the flow equations in the melonic sector. In a recent work arXiv:2008.08601, Halverson, Maiti and Stoner proposed a description of neural networks in terms of a Wilsonian effective field theory. The infinite-width limit is mapped to a free field theory, while finite $N$ corrections are taken into account by interactions (non-Gaussian terms in the action). In this paper, we study two related aspects of this correspondence. First, we comment on the concepts of locality and power-counting in this context. Indeed, these usual space-time notions may not hold for neural networks (since inputs can be arbitrary), however, the renormalization group provides natural notions of locality and scaling. Moreover, we comment on several subtleties, for example, that data components may not have a permutation symmetry: in that case, we argue that random tensor field theories could provide a natural generalization. Second, we improve the perturbative Wilsonian renormalization from arXiv:2008.08601 by providing an analysis in terms of the nonperturbative renormalization group using the Wetterich-Morris equation. An important difference with usual nonperturbative RG analysis is that only the effective (IR) 2-point function is known, which requires setting the problem with care. Our aim is to provide a useful formalism to investigate neural networks behavior beyond the large-width limit (i.e.~far from Gaussian limit) in a nonperturbative fashion. A major result of our analysis is that changing the standard deviation of the neural network weight distribution can be interpreted as a renormalization flow in the space of networks. This paper aims at using the functional renormalization group formalism to study the equilibrium states of a stochastic process described by a quench--disordered multilinear Langevin equation. Such an equation characterizes the evolution of a time-dependent $N$-vector $q(t)=\{q_1(t),\cdots q_N(t)\}$ and is traditionally encountered in the dynamical description of glassy systems at and out of equilibrium through the so-called Glauber model. From the connection between Langevin dynamics and quantum mechanics in imaginary time, we are able to coarse-grain the path integral of the problem in the Fourier modes, and to construct a renormalization group flow for effective Euclidean action. In the large $N$-limit we are able to solve the flow equations for both matrix and tensor disorder. The numerical solutions of the resulting exact flow equations are then investigated using standard local potential approximation, taking into account the quench disorder. In the case where the interaction is taken to be matricial, for finite $N$ the flow equations are also solved. The tensorial principal component analysis is a generalization of ordinary principal component analysis, focusing on data which are suitably described by tensors rather than matrices. This paper aims at giving the nonperturbative renormalization group formalism based on a slight generalization of the covariance matrix, to investigate signal detection for the difficult issue of nearly continuous spectra. Renormalization group allows constructing effective description keeping only relevant features in the low ``energy'' (i.e. large eigenvalues) limit and thus provides universal descriptions allowing to associate the presence of the signal with objectives and computable quantities. Among them, in this paper, we focus on the vacuum expectation value. The large scale behavior of systems having a large number of interacting degrees of freedom is suitably described using renormalization group, from non-Gaussian distributions. Renormalization group techniques used in physics are then expected to be helpful for issues when standard methods in data analysis break down. Signal detection and recognition for covariance matrices having nearly continuous spectra is currently an open issue in data science and machine learning. Using the field theoretical embedding introduced in arXiv:2011.02376 to reproduces experimental correlations, we show in this paper that the presence of a signal may be characterized by a phase transition with $\mathbb{Z}_2$-symmetry breaking. Renormalization group techniques are widely used in modern physics to describe the low energy relevant aspects of systems involving a large number of degrees of freedom. Those techniques are thus expected to be a powerful tool to address open issues in data analysis when data sets are very larges. Signal detection and recognition for covariance matrix having a nearly continuous spectra is currently one of these opened issues. First investigations in this direction has been proposed in [Journal of Statistical Physics, 167, Issue 3-4, pp 462-475, (2017)] and [arXiv:2002.10574], from an analogy between coarse-graining and principal component analysis (PCA), regarding separation of sampling noise modes as a UV cut-off for small eigenvalues of the covariance matrix. The field theoretical framework proposed in this paper is a synthesis of these complementary point of views, aiming to be a general and operational framework, both for theoretical investigations and for experimental detection. The standard nonperturbative approaches of renormalization group for tensor models are generally focused on a purely local potential approximation (i.e. involving only generalized traces and product of them) and are showed to strongly violate the modified Ward identities. This paper as a continuation of our recent contribution [Physical Review D 101, 106015 (2020)], intended to investigate the approximation schemes compatibles with Ward identities and constraints between $2n$-points observables in the large $N$-limit. We consider separately two different approximations: In the first one, we try to construct a local potential approximation from a slight modification of the Litim regulator, so that it remains optimal in the usual sense, and preserves the boundary conditions in deep UV and deep IR limits. In the second one, we introduce derivative couplings in the truncations and show that the compatibility with Ward identities implies strong relations between $\beta$-functions, allowing to close the infinite hierarchy of flow equations in the non-branching sector, up to a given order in the derivative expansion. Finally, using exact relation between correlations functions in large $N$-limit, we show that strictly local truncations are insufficient to reach the exact value for the critical exponent, highlighting the role played by these strong relations between observables taking into account the behavior of the flow; and the role played by the multi-trace operators, discussed in the two different approximation schemes. In both cases, we compare our conclusions to the results obtained in the literature and conclude that, at a given order, taking into account the exact functional relations between observables like Ward identities in a systematic way we can strongly improve the physical relevance of the approximation for exact RG equation., Comment: 31 pages, 16 figures

Some recent results showed that renormalization group can be considered as a promising framework to address open issues in data analysis. In this work, we focus on one of these aspects, closely related to principal component analysis for the case of large dimensional data sets with covariance having a nearly continuous spectrum. In this case, the distinction between "noise-like" and "non-noise" modes becomes arbitrary and an open challenge for standard methods. Observing that both renormalization group and principal component analysis search for simplification for systems involving many degrees of freedom, we aim to use the renormalization group argument to clarify the turning point between noise and information modes. The analogy between coarse-graining renormalization and principal component analysis has been investigated in [Journal of Statistical Physics,167, Issue 3-4, pp 462-475, (2017)], from a perturbative framework, and the implementation with real sets of data by the same authors showed that the procedure may reflect more than a simple formal analogy. In particular, the separation of sampling noise modes may be controlled by a non-Gaussian fixed point, reminiscent of the behaviour of critical systems. In our analysis, we go beyond the perturbative framework using nonperturbative techniques to investigate non-Gaussian fixed points and propose a deeper formalism allowing going beyond power-law assumptions for explicit computations., Comment: 14 pages, 9 figures

Ward-Takahashi identities are nonperturbative relations between correlation functions and arising from symmetries in quantum and statistical fields theories, as Noether currents conservation for classical theories. Since their historical origin, these identities were considered to prove the exact relation between counter-terms to all order of the perturbative expansion. Recently they have been considered in relation with nonperturbative renormalization group aspects for some classes of quantum field theories namely tensorial group field theories and matrix models, both characterized by a specific non-locality in their interactions, and expected to provide discrete models for quantum gravity. This paper, in addition to our recent works, intends to explore the behavior of the Wetterich flow equations in the portion of the theory space spanned by non-branching melons constrained with Ward-identities. We focus on a rank-5 just-renormalizable tensorial group field theory and consider a non-trivial extension of the local potential approximation namely effective vertex expansion for just-renormalizable quartic melonic interactions, disregarding effects coming from disconnected interactions. Investigating the dynamically constrained flow, we show explicitly that results weakly rely on the number of quartic interactions involved in the classical action. In particular, the predictions for the fully connected model are essentially the same as for the single colored model. This paper aims at giving a novel approach to investigate the behavior of the renormalization group flow for tensorial group field theories to all orders of the perturbation theory. From an appropriate choice of the kinetic kernel, we build an infinite family of just-renormalizable models, for tensor fields with arbitrary rank $d$. Investigating the large $ d$ limit, we show that the self-energy melonic amplitude is decomposed as a product of loop-vertex functions, depending only on dimensionless mass. The corresponding melonic amplitudes may be mapped as trees in the so-called Hubbard-Stratonivich representation, and we show that only trees with edges of different colors survive in the large $d$-limit. These two key features allow us to resum the perturbative expansion for self-energy, providing an explicit expression for arbitrary external momenta in terms of Lambert function. Finally, inserting this resumed solution into the Callan-Symanzik equations, and taking into account the strong relation between two and four-point functions arising from melonic Ward-Takahashi identities, we then deduce an explicit expression for relevant and marginal $\beta$-functions, valid to all orders of the perturbative expansion. We introduce a new family of tensorial field theories by coupling different fields in a non-trivial way, with a view towards the investigation of the coupling between matter and gravity in the quantum regime. As a first step, we consider the simple case with two tensors of the same rank coupled together, with Dirac like kinetic kernel. We focus especially on rank-$3$ tensors, which lead to a power counting just-renormalizable model, and interpret Feynman graphs as Ising configurations on random lattices. We investigate the renormalization group flow for this model, using two different and complementary tools for approximations, namely, the effective vertex expansion method and finite-dimensional truncations for the flowing action. Due to the complicated structure of the resulting flow equations, we divided the work into two parts. The nonperturbative renormalization group has been considered as a solid framework to investigate fixed point and critical exponents for matrix and tensor models, expected to correspond with the so-called double scaling limit. In this paper, we focus on matrix models and address the question of the compatibility between the approximations used to solve the exact renormalization group equation and the modified Ward identities coming from the regulator. We show in particular that standard local potential approximation strongly violates the Ward identities, especially in the vicinity of the interacting fixed point. Extending the theory space including derivative couplings, we recover an interacting fixed point with a critical exponent not so far from the exact result, but with a nonzero value for derivative couplings, evoking a strong dependence concerning the regulator. The nontrivial fixed point discovered for $\phi^4$-marginal couplings in tensorial group field theories have been showed to be incompatible with Ward-Takahashi identities. In this previous analysis we have stated that the case of models with interactions of order greater than four could probably lead to a fixed point compatible with local Ward's identities. In this paper we focus on a rank-4 Abelian $\phi^6$-just renormalizable tensorial group field theory and describe the renormalization group flow over the sub-theory space where Ward constraint is satisfied along the flow, by using an improved version of the effective vertex expansion. This manuscript aims at giving our new advance on the functional renormalization group applied to tensorial group field theory. It is based on a series of our three papers [arXiv:1803.09902], [arXiv:1809.00247] and [arXiv:1809.06081]. We consider the polynomial Abelian $U(1)^d$ models without closure constraint, especially we discuss the case of quartic melonic interaction. We present a new approach to solve the exact Wetterich flow equation called the effective vertex expansion method, and investigate the resulting flow equations, especially about the existence of non-Gaussian fixed points for their connection with phase transitions. To complete this method, we consider a non-trivial constraint arising from the Ward-Takahashi identities, and discuss the disappearance of the global non-trivial fixed points taking into account this constraint. Referring to recent works concerning the functional renormalization group for tensorial group fields theories [arXiv:1803.09902] and [arXiv:1809.00247], this paper gives in-depth explanation for, the ambiguity around the search of fixed points in the Wetterich flow equation and the Ward-Takahashi identities. We consider the $U(1)$-tensors models and discuss the non-existence of phase transition taking into account the Ward-identities as new constraint along the flow. We prove that the quartic melonic tensorial group fields theories without closure constraint are devoid with the fixed points and therefore the phase transitions., Comment: 20 pages

Tensor models admit the large $N$ limit, dominated by the graphs called melons. The melons are characterized by the Gurau number $\varpi=0$ and the amplitude of the Feynman graphs are proportional to $N^{-\varpi}$. Other leading order contributions i.e. $\varpi> 0$ called pseudo-melons can be taken into account in the renormalization program. The following paper deals with the renormalization group for a $U(1)$-tensorial group field theory model taking into account these two sectors (melon and pseudo-melon). It generalizes a recent work (Lahoche and Ousmane Samary, arXiv:1803.09902), in which only the melonic sector has been studied. Using the power counting theorem the divergent graphs of the model are identified. Also, the effective vertex expansion is used to generate in detail the combinatorial analysis of these two leading order sectors. We obtained the structure equations, which help to improve the truncation in the Wetterich equation. The set of Ward-Takahashi identities is derived and their compatibility along the flow provides a nontrivial constraint in the approximation schemes. Renormalization group methods are an essential ingredient in the study of nonperturbative problems of quantum field theory. This paper deal with the symmetry constraints on the renormalization group flow for quartic melonic tensorial group field theories. Using the unitary invariance of the interactions, we provide a set of Ward-Takahashi identities which leads to relations between correlation functions. There are numerous reasons to consider such Ward identities in the functional renormalization group. Their compatibility along the flow provides a non-trivial constraint on the reliability of the approximation schemes used in the non-perturbative regime, especially on the truncation and the choice of the regulator. We establish the so called structure equations in the melonic sector and in the symmetric phase. As an example we consider the $T^4_5$ TGFT model without gauge constraint. Harmonic oscillator in noncommutative two dimensional lattice are investigated. Using the properties of non-differential calculus and its applications to quantum mechanics, we provide the eigenvalues and eigenfunctions of the corresponding Hamiltonian. First we consider the case of ordinary quantum mechanics, and we point out the thermodynamic properties of the model. In this paper, we derive the energy momentum tensor for the translation invariant noncommutative Tanasa scalar field model. The Wilson regularization procedure is used to improve this tensor and the local conservation property is recovered. The same question is addressed in the case where the Moyal star product is deformed including the tetrad fields. It provides with an extension of the recent work [J. Phys. A: Math. From a study of an oscillator in a $4D$ NC spacetime, we establish the Hamilton equations of motion. The formers are solved to give the oscillator position and momentum coordinates. These coordinates are used to build a metric similar to that describing a cosmic string. On this basis, Dirac and Klein-Gordon oscillators are investigated. Their spectrum and dynamics are analysed giving rise to novel interesting properties.

This paper is focused on the functional renormalization group applied to the $T_5^6$ tensor model on the Abelian group $U(1)$ with closure constraint. For the first time, we derive the flow equations for the couplings and mass parameters in a suitable truncation around the marginal interactions with respect to the perturbative power counting. For the second time, we study the behavior around the Gaussian fixed point, and show that the theory is nonasymptotically free. Finally, we discuss the UV completion of the theory. We show the existence of several nontrivial fixed points, study the behavior of the renormalization group flow around them, and point out evidence in favor of an asymptotically safe theory., Comment: 24 pages, 9 figures

The Schr\"odinger equation of the spherical symmetry quantum models such as the hydrogen atom problem seems to be analytically non-solvable in higher dimensions. When we try to compactifying one or several dimensions this question can maybe solved. This paper stands for the study of the spherical symmetry quantum models on noncommutative spacetime with compactified extra dimensions. We provide analytically the resulting spectrum of the hydrogen atom and Yukawa problem in $4+1$ dimensional noncommutative spacetime in the first order approximation of noncommutative parameter. The case of higher dimensions $D\geq 4$ is also discussed.

In this paper we study the Dirac field theory interacting with external gravitation field, described with tetrad of the form $e_b^\mu(x)=\varepsilon(\delta_b^\mu+\omega_{ba}^\mu x^a)$, where $\varepsilon=1$ for $\mu=0$ and $\varepsilon=i$ for $\mu=1,2,3.$ The probability density of the vacuum-vacuum pair creation is given. In this paper we provide the closed equations that satisfy two-point correlation functions of the rank 3 and 4 tensorial group field theory. The formulation of the present problem extends the method used by Grosse and Wulkenhaar in [arXiv 0909.1389] to the tensor case. I describe here the attempt to introduce spin-charge separation in Schrodinger equation. The construction we present here gives a decomposed Schrodinger spinor that has one problem: Its absolute value can only have value between 0 and ${1}{2}$. The problem we solve is to expand and generalize this construction so that one can have a Schrodinger spinor with absolute value that are arbitrary non-negative numbers. It may be that one has to introduce a set of different decompositions to cover all nonnegative values, that is to introduce patches over $\mathbb{R}_{+}^{3}$ so that in each patch one has a different representation. It seems that the decomposition has a direct relation to so called entangled states that have been discussed very much in connection of e.g. quantum computing, and we would like to find this relation and discuss it in detail., Comment: 24 pages. This work addresses the study of the oscillator algebra, defined by four parameters $p$, $q$, $\alpha$, and $\nu$. The time-independent Schr\"{o}dinger equation for the induced deformed harmonic oscillator is solved; explicit analytic expressions of the energy spectrum are given. Deformed states are built and discussed with respect to the criteria of coherent state construction.
