This research aims to explore the role of women towards economic empowerment through Women Farmers Group (KWT). This research uses a qualitative approach with PAR (Participatory Action Research) analysis, the research was conducted in Mekarwangi village, Saketi District, Pandeglang Regency. Data was collected through interviews and participatory observation. The results showed that KWT is not only a forum for women in empowering and increasing family income, but also provides space for them to develop skills, build social networks, and increase roles in the public sector, especially agriculture. Through KWT, women in Mekarwangi Village have managed to develop their individual and cooperative skills in managing businesses, such as managing agricultural fields, farming to marketing and managing the money from sales. So that they can increase their role from just being a housewife to an active economic actor in a more complex sector. This research concludes that Women Farmers Groups have great potential in empowering women and promoting gender equality, especially at the village level.

Spent bleaching earth (SBE) is a waste from the crude palm oil CPO refining process which contains high oil content, around 20-30%. There are several methods to reduce SBE oil content, one of which is the solvent extraction method. SBE residual oil can be utilized as a raw material for biodiesel. This research aims to determine the mass ratio of SBE and solvent, the optimal temperature for extracting residual oil from SBE, and the potential of residual oil from SBE to be used as biodiesel using a microwave reactor. Residual oil extraction was carried out at varying mass ratios of SBE and solvent (1:2, 1:4, and 1:6) and varying temperatures (26, 40, and 50°C). The treated residual oil was esterified and subjected to transesterification reaction with 15% methanol and 1% KOH for 10 minutes at 60°C using a microwave reactor. The optimal extraction result for residual oil was at a 1:4 ratio and 26°C with a yield of 19.12%. There is also an increase in surface area in deoiled-SBE. The conversion of residual oil from SBE into biodiesel yielded 33.53% with a conversion value of 45.28% and a FAME content of 92.97%. The characteristics of the produced biodiesel meet the Indonesian National Standard (SNI) for biodiesel with density of 0.8674 g/cm3 and viscosity of 5.69 mm2/s.

Bioflavor is a type of natural flavor that is obtained from microbial metabolites during the process of fermentation. Most of the bacteria involved in food fermentation are lactic acid bacteria, including Lactobacillus sp. The optimal medium for Lactobacillus sp. growth is de Man Rogosa and Sharpe (MRS), but it is considered to be less economical. Therefore, alternative carbon and nitrogen sources are needed. This study aimed to determine the bioflavor produced in de Man Rogosa dan Sharpe Broth (MRSB) media that was substituted with Oil Palm Empty Fruit Bunch (OPEFB) hydrolysate and Crude Palm Oil (CPO) at concentrations of 5, 15, and 30%, respectively by using gas chromatography-mass spectrometry. The results showed that substituting MRSB with 15% CPO produced the best results for the growth of Lactobacillus sp. However, each medium produced different bioflavor compounds. In the control media (MRSB), the highest amount of bioflavor compound was 2,3-dihydro-3,5-dihydroxy-6-methyl -4H-Pyran-4-one (rose tea). In the OPEFB hydrolysate-substituted medium, it was benzene-acetaldehyde (sweet, bread, rose), in the CPO-substituted medium, it was furaneol (pineapple and strawberry) and pyrazine (nutty, roasted coffee).

Military equipment development, especially means of transportation, currently revolves around material selection, which includes hybrid laminate composite as a prominent material choice due to its strength-to-weight ratio. The hybrid laminate composite was fabricated by involving aluminum alloy 7075-T6 sheets and Kevlar fabrics that were introduced to shear thickening fluid (STF). STF was made by mixing PEG-400, alumina nanoparticles, and ethanol in a certain ratio. The composites were fabricated using variations of Kevlar layers of 8, 16, and 24 layers. Ballistic impact resistance of the hybrid laminate composite was observed through a ballistic test that was performed according to the National Institute of Justice (NIJ) 1080.01 level II standard. The energy absorption of the composites was evaluated by analyzing the diameter of the perforation. Additionally, the failure mode of the Al7075 matrix and Kevlar fabric are discussed. The findings from ballistic testing indicated that the addition of alumina nanoparticles into three variations of Kevlar layers in hybrid laminate composite yielded the improvement of ballistic performance and impact energy of the composites.

This study aims to explore the factors influencing consumer attitudes and intentions towards using Online Food Delivery (OFD) services in Indonesia. Integrating the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT) and the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB), the research evaluates dimensions such as performance expectancy, effort expectancy, social influence, information quality, price-saving, and time-saving orientation. Through a structured online survey of 275 Indonesian respondents, it was found that social influence, price-saving, and time-saving orientation positively impact OFD perceptions. This study provides novel insights into post-COVID-19 pandemic OFD research in Indonesia, albeit limited to respondents in the Jabodetabek area. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
