The late antique capital of the Lakhmid kingdom of al-Hira, located in Mesopotamia, today in southern Iraq, was continuously settled from the Late-­Antique to the Early Islamic period. Whereas its history is known through literary sources, its material existence is only little studied. The goal of the current cooperation project is to gain more information about the city based on archaeological evidence. This report presents the preliminary results of the fieldwork during the year 2022. Magnetometer prospection and a study of the surface features at selected find sites have revealed different types of building complexes. Susceptibility measurements were undertaken being part of a subproject to generate a reproducible work-flow for the automated analysis of magnetometer-data. Excavations carried out at two selected areas revealed a further church and the gate of a large compound respectively. They provide also stratigraphic sequences and three building phases. Quantitative evaluation of pottery indicates differences between the two excavated areas. Studying and analysis of the results of the interdisciplinary research are still in process and aim to provide an interregional contextualization., e-Forschungsberichte, Faszikel 1 (2023)

يهدف البحث الى تحديد دور المهارات الموارد البشرية في تحقيق الابداع التنظيمي على مستوى من الكادر التدريسي في جامعة بولي تكنيك (الكلية التقنية الادارية والمعهد التقني الاداري) في محافظة دهوك. من اجل الوصول الى اهداف البحث فقد تم بناء فرضيتين اساسيتين لاختبار علاقة الارتباط والتاثير بين متغيرات البحث، والذي ياخذ بنظر الاعتبار تحديد علاقة الارتباط والتاثير بين المتغيرين. اما بالنسبة لطبيعة اسوب جمع البيانات فقد اعتمدت الباحثة على اسلوب الاستبانة بوصفها اداة رئيسية لجمع البيانات من خلال توزيع الاستمارات على الكادر التدريسي في الجامعة المبحوثة، اذ تم توزيع (60) استمارة ومنها (40) استمارة صالحة للتحليل ومن خلال بعض الاساليب الاحصائية باستخدتم برنامج (SPSS) تم تحليل النتائج واختبار الفرضيات، تمثلت اهم الاستنتاجات بوجود علاقة الارتباط والتاثير بين مهارات الموارد البشرية والابداع التنظيمي، وتوصل البحث الى مجموعة من التوصيات التي تركز على اتجاه العلاقة بين المهارات الموارد البشرية والابداع التنظيمي.

The identification of floral volatiles that ensure pollination services is an important step in creating and implementing ecologically-friendly solutions to agricultural challenges. Typically, volatile organic compounds (VOCs) are identified based on Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry (GC-MS) targeted analysis, a time-consuming and subjective process relying on prior knowledge and manual curation. To improve this, we propose FloralClust, a novel pseudo-targeted approach for VOC classification based on an adaptive clustering algorithm that considers flowers’ circadian rhythms as flower-insect communication agents.

Virtual Reality (VR) is an innovation that enables a client to collaborate with a computer-mimicked climate, regardless of whether that climate is a recreation of this present reality or a conjured universe. It is the way to find, feel and contact with the past, the present and what is to come. It is the vehicle to make our own reality, our own altered reality. It could go from making a computer game to taking a virtual tour of the universe, from wandering through our own fantasy house to finding a walk on a strange planet. With computer-generated reality, we can meet the most frightening and boring circumstances by playing safe and with a learning point of view. Mechanical maintenance preparation requires significant investment. Must be legitimate public information personnel before playing out any support on apparent devices and must have an appropriate maintenance and security setting applicable to the specific device support is performed on. Two organizations and scientific institutions face preparing limits when ordering maintenance for replacers or workers. Virtual Reality situations deal with the issue of access, cost, support, firm plan, and well-being. Virtual reality situations using Game-Engine phases (for this mode, Unity), Computer-Aided-Design display and C# programming to execute what is needed in a VR reality head where a student is perfectly suited to speak with environmental factors through kidnapping, contact, holding, dropping, tossing and more through existing virtual reality controllers.

Wireless sensor networks (WSNs) is a significant part of networking area. They are cheap, efficient, and small, they are become more and more important for several applications. However, with the widespread use of applications that rely on wireless sensor networks, they continue to suffer from limitations such as data routing and security. WSNs can be used for several applications. Nodes of Sensor work on batteries. It is impossible to charge or replace the battery in some applications. For that purpose, optimal use of node’s energy is a key issue in the network. Routing is a significant challenge to extend the lifespan of network. Several protocols are implemented in WSNs. In this study, a survey on clustering techniques, present a characteristic and requirements routing design of WSNs. Result of this study shows how to solve some of these problems. WSN routing protocols have to ensure shortest paths, minimum energy consumption, less delay and maximum lifespan of network.

The aims of this thesis were to: first, identify if a temporal impairment in baroreflex control of sympathetic nerve activity (SNA) occurs in a novel rodent model of chronic kidney disease (CKD), the Lewis Polycystic kidney (LPK) rat, and if deficits in the afferent, central and/or efferent components of the baroreflex exist; second, assess whether baroreflex dysfunction in CKD is differentially expressed in male and female genders and is contributed to by sex-dependent deteriorations in different components of the baroreflex pathway; third, investigate whether altered reflex control of the heart and sympathetic vasomotor tone relates to deficits in the vagal afferent pathway, a bioreceptor-independent mechanism that can similarly modulate efferent autonomic nerve activity; and fourth, to examine the hypothesis that ongoing elevation of SNA is a key pathological feature of CKD using conscious dual recording of blood pressure (BP) and SNA in the LPK.

The requirements for the network are increasing by the expanding and spreading the Internet. The Previous techniques of the network do not meet the modern needs, thus, a new technical presents software-defined networking (SDN). SDN recognizes as a promising new model that separates the control plane (traffic routing and network topology) from the data plane (network architecture layers). The architecture of SDN has some features that find in a single controller or many controllers instance of programmable, flexible, and scalable. In the current SDN, multiple controllers are essential. Therefore, the optimal number of the controllers and their locations is the most significant challenge, known as the controller placement problem (CPP). It deploys the optimal number of controllers within the network while meeting presentations requirements considered conflicting in nature example: credibility, load balancing, latency, energy efficiency, and computation time. Many studies researched the ways to develop solutions for improving scalability, place selection for SDN. This paper presents the CPP and gives a comprehensive review of SDN issues based on the recent well-known research to extract available solution strategies. Finally, it discusses the limitations and future study directions that can support researchers in this field.
