The study under the purpose was planned to examine the relationship of secondary level teachers’ social recognition with their self-esteem. The study was descriptive and correlational by its nature as it aimed to render the perceptions of participants and correlation of variables. A multi-stage random sampling technique was adopted to pick the sample of study from population of secondary school teachers of the Punjab. At first stage four districts were selected randomly and at second stage 80 schools were selected and then five teachers from each selected schools were selected to make the total sample (N = 400) secondary school teachers. The data were collected from the selected secondary school teachers by using two questionnaires. The data were analyzed by applying statistical techniques as a mean score, independent sample t-test, Pearson “r” and One-way ANOVA, and post hoc tests to draw the results. It was concluded that there was weak and insignificant relationship existed between teachers’ self-esteem and social recognition. So, it is recommended that there should be psychological practices of social recognition to associate with their self-esteem and needed to conduct research in Pakistani context.

This paper deemed a purpose to navigate the perception and to investigate the relationship between public secondary school teachers' empowerment and their organizational commitment. The secondary teachers of Punjab province working at public schools were the population of the study. The sample size was 1200 teachers who were selected randomly from the Punjab secondary school. 1103teachers sent back filled questionnaires that were a reasonable return rate of 92 percent. The mean, frequency and Pearson correlation were the statistical techniques used to analyze data. The findings of the study showed that teachers of secondary education perceived empowerment along with organizational commitment. Both the variables also had a strong positive correlation. So, it was recommended that teachers' empowerment and organizational commitment should be included in the training.

Hemorrhagic septicemia (HS) is a devastating disease of cattle and buffaloes. The live aerosol vaccine is the best option to control HS. However, stability and viability of live vaccine is an issue. The present study was conducted to investigate the effect of three extraneous stabilizers trehalose, skimmed milk and lactalbumin on the viability of the live vaccine strain Pasteurella multocida B:3,4. The viability of the strain was evaluated using various concentrations (5, 10, 15 and 20%) of these three stabilizers. Moreover, viability of P. multocida B:3,4 was also determined at four different storage temperatures (-20, 4, 25 and 37°C). The duration of lyophilization cycle was also standardized for highest survival of cells. The data showed that trehalose and lactalbumin ensued percentage of viability as 91.89±0.08 and 80.38±2.57 respectively. Skimmed milk as stabilizer did not prove to defend cells during lyophiliztion and subsequent storage and exhibited cell viability approximately 0.47±0.009%. The study indicated that most effective stabilizer for lyophiliztion of P. multocida B:3,4 was trehalose at 15% concentration and was most suitable temperature for storage of lyophilized P. multocida B:3,4. © 2021 Friends Science Publishers

The serotypes of Pasteurella multocida were predicted based on whole genomic sequences (WGS) with specific genes of the capsular and liposaccharide (LPS) outer core polysaccharide regions as targets. A total of 56 strains were whole genomic sequenced and in addition all assembled genomes from NCBI were included for comparison. BIGSdb (Bacterial Isolate Genome Sequence Database) was installed on a Linux server and targets for capsular types A, B, D, E and F were defined as gene sequences of hyaD, bcbD, dcbF, ecbJ and fcbD, respectively and targets for LPS groups 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8 were defined as gene sequences of pcgB, nctA, gatF, latB, rmlA, nctB, ppgB and natG, respectively. The serotypes of P. multocida were predicted from WGS by designating the capsular type and LPS group as well as subtype alleles to isolates. Comparisons between WGS predictions of capsular types and classical phenotypic typing showed correspondence in 87 % of cases whereas comparisons of WGS predictions of LPS groups to phenotypic typing corresponded for 82 % of the strains. In total 93 % and 94 % of the strains available with WGS could be capsular and LPS group typed, respectively. The server is free to access from https://ivsmlst.sund.ku.dk.

Clomiphene citrate(an anti-estrogen) has the abilities for the secretion of gondaotropin from the anterior pituitary gland. The present study was designed to investigate the effects of CC and hCG on female sex hormones (FSH, Estrogen) and serum biochemical constituents in pre-pubertal Sahiwal heifers. The twelve animals were randomly divided into a) treatment and b) control groups. These animals were grouped on the basis of reproductive status of heifers. The animals in treatment group were fed clomiphene citrate with dose of 300mg/ animal for 9 days. On 10thday of experiment, hCG (IVF-C 5000 iu (hCG) LG Life Sciences, Korea) was injected I/V to both groups. For the serum biochemical constituent’s evaluation and oxidative stress (MDA), blood on day 0, 14 and 28 was collected. Similarly, for hormones evaluation three blood samples per week (on alternate days) for 9 days were collected. The concentrations of both hormones were assessed by ELISA. For the comparison of variables, student t-test was applied. Analysis of data revealed that levels of hormones were higher in treated animals as compared to control. There was significant (p less than 0.05) increase in total cholesterol, triglycerides total protein and sugar.But there was nonsignificant(p> 0.05) effect on liver enzymes (ALT and AST) and MDA. It was concluded that use of CC and hCG increase the FSH and estrogen and few alterations in serum biochemical constituents in the pre-pubertal Sahiwal heifers.
