Low-dimensional carbon materials are of great interest and have tremendous potential for application in flexible plastic electronics. However, the development of devices based on carbon structural hybrids is often hindered due to the high recombination rate of photoexcited charges, low absorbance, and other factors. This work discusses the emergence of multi-component structural forms of carbon from single-wall carbon nanotubes (SWCNTs) and demonstrates the electrical nature of the film containing these heterogeneous low-dimensional structural derivatives that are amalgamated in a polyurethane matrix. SWCNTs serve as a building block to give rise to multi-structural compounds, including multi-wall carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs), graphene sheets (GSs), carbon nanoscrolls (CNS), ‘Y’ and ‘T’ junctions, twisted CNTs and carbon nano-onion (CNO)-like structures, after performing oxidative purification and covalent functionalization processes. These one- and two-dimensional (1D and 2D) components with different individual electrical characteristics when integrated in a polyurethane binder and spin-coated on a SiO2/Si substrate exhibit an overall semiconducting behaviour. Current (I)–voltage (V) characteristics reveal thermally driven photo-excited charges that are mainly responsible for the observed current trend of the film. Herein, we explore a facile cost-effective strategy to fabricate stable thin film coatings comprising a random network of functionalized structural derivatives of carbon and polymer conjugates and investigate the overall electrical nature to envisage incorporating these nanomaterials in future plastic electronics. Culinary is being narrowed due to a rapid shift to ready-to-eat food consumption. Current study was performed to record the status of culinary in Indian peninsula, besides making them aware of the harmful cookware's leaching. An online survey was conducted and responses were analyzed. Survey reported that 45.3% of youth is unaware of millets and 61.9% of survey population doesn't know about per and polyfluoroalkyl substance leaching, while the cooking methods became narrow around baking, frying, and pressure cooking. Instead, this survey has drafted a significant impact on the population, and 39.1–50.9% of survey population declined using aluminum and nonstick cookware after interaction. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

In this paper, the junctionless Fin Field Effect Transistor (FinFET) and nanosheet Field Effect Transistor (NSFET) with a gate length of 12 nm are implemented using the Sentaurus Technology Computer-Aided Design (TCAD) tool. To compare the junctionless FinFET and NSFET, simulations are done at constant threshold voltage. The NSFET outperformed FinFET in terms of current driving capabilities, Subthreshold Swing (SS), Drain Induced Barrier Lowering (DIBL), and intrinsic voltage gain (AV). Further, the device design guidelines are presented for FinFET and NSFET in terms of geometrical parameters. The simulation indicates that downscaling the gate length from 16 to 8 nm leads to an increase in SS and DIBL by 21 and 68.49 % in FinFET whereas 19 and 70.14 % in nanosheet FET. The height variation of FinFET seems to make the least impact on short channel effects (SCEs) while scaling the thickness of NSFET from 9 to 5 nm improves the DIBL and SS by 61.9 % and 15.54 % respectively. In the case of scaling the width of FinFET from 10 to 5 nm, DIBL and SS increase by 55.4 % and 14 % whereas scaling of nanosheet width from 24 to 12 nm gives 19.44 % and 1.37 % improvement in DIBL and SS, respectively. Here, in this work, acid-activated bentonite and its nanocomposite with hematite nanoparticles were synthesized using the simple chemithermal and thermal coupling methods, respectively. The synthesized samples were investigated for morphological, compositional, structural, and thermal properties. Results suggested distortion in clay structure on acid activation and nanocomposite formation with improved thermal stability. Clays are widely accepted for dye removal from wastewater. Here, in this work, nanobentonite was synthesized by a simple, rapid, and cost-effective chemithermal method. Additionally, nanobentonite was coupled with hematite nanoparticles via thermal coupling to prepare a nanocomposite with enhanced surface absorption. Surface morphology, compositional and structural analysis of synthesized samples were done using various characterization techniques. Results suggested that nanobentonite and nanocomposite having an average diameter of 35.36 and 21.85 nm respectively were synthesized. Nanocomposite exhibited increased surface area. Additionally, the ability of all samples as an adsorbent for removal of methylene blue (MB) and Congo red (CR), from an aqueous solution was investigated under various optimization conditions. Adsorption kinetics revealed that Pseudo II order equation fits well for the adsorption process following intraparticular diffusion mechanism for both the dyes. The adsorption equilibrium data of MB and CR was fitted well by the Langmuir and Freundlich adsorption isotherm model, respectively. The thermodynamic parameters suggested adsorption process is endothermic and spontaneous in nature with increased entropy value. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
