The experiment was carried out in fourty post partum anoestrus buffaloes during breeding season. All selected animals were classified in 4 equal groups. Each group comprises 10 buffaloes. Group I was administered Ovsynch protocol with Progesterone impregnated intravaginal device which removed on 7th day and GnRH @ 10 mcg i/m on day of AI. Group II was advised Progesterone impregnated intra-vaginal device which removed on 7th day and GnRH @ 10 mcg i/m on day of AI. Group III was given Ovsynch protocol alone and Group IV was kept as control. Fixed timed Artificial Insemination was performed in I, II and III group of buffaloes. Blood was collected before and after experiment for estimation of haemato-biochemical parameters. The average values of WBC, RBC and Haemoglobin was observed non significant on 7th and 10th day. The level of total protein did not significantly changed but total cholesterol and glucose significantly (P<0.01) increased on day 0, 7th and 10th. There were no significant effects of the level of serum calcium and phosphorous on day 7th and 10th. The level of Cu, Fe and Zn increased significantly (P<0.05) on day 7th and 10th whereas Cu, Fe and Zn found significantly (P<0.05) greater on day 0, 7th and 10th. It can be concluded that effect of hormonal protocols is very effective for oestrous induction and conception rate in post partum anoestrous buffaloes during breeding season. However, significant difference in values of haemato-biochemical parameters was observed between pregnant and non pregnant animals whereas macro minerals and micro minerals did not altered. The study was conducted on 40 postpartum anoestrus buffaloes during non-breeding season. The selected animals were divided into 4 equal groups. Group I was treated with standard Ovsynch + CIRD protocol, Group II with CIDR alone, and Group III was administered with Ovsynch protocol alone, all with FTAI on day 10, while Group IV served as untreated control. Blood samples were collected on day 0 (initial), day 7 (day of PG inj.) and on day 10 (FTAI) of each protocol for determination of haemato-biochemical profile. The overall mean values of WBCs, RBCs, haemoglobin, plasma glucose, and serum total protein, total cholesterol, calcium and phosphorus were statistically similar on all days in all groups. The serum levels of Cu, Fe and Zn increased significantly (p<0.01) on day 7 and day 10 as compared to day 0 in treatment group, and were also higher in group I than others. The serum progesterone concentration differed significantly on all days, the level increased significantly on day 7 and dropped significantly (p<0.01) to basal level on day 10, i.e., at induced estrus/FTAI. It was concluded that except serum progesterone and trace minerals, none of the other haemato-biochemical parameters were influenced by the synchronization protocols used in anoestrus buffaloes during low breeding season. Serum biochemical profile was studied of six healthy (Control) and fourteen crossbred cows with uterine infection. The infected cows were divided in two equal groups (n=7) for assessing the immunomodulatory effect of oyster glycogen and autologus plasma. The mean concentration of serum glucose, calcium, inorganic phosphorus and cholesterol was recorded as 51.85±4.02, 10.94±0.62, 5.85±0.19 and 157.10±14.46 mg/dl in healthy crossbred cows (Group I), whereas, in cows with uterine infection the values were recorded as 35.84±2.03, 8.82±0.33, 5.79±0.38 and 119.84±9.19 mg/dl in Group II (oyster glycogen) and 33.97±2.67, 9.25±0.65, 5.72±0.24 and 116.17±8.49 mg/dl in Group III (autologus plasma) cows, respectively. Before treatment the concentration of serum glucose, calcium and cholesterol in uterine infected cows was significantly lower as compared to healthy cows. No significant difference was observed in the values of serum inorganic phosphorus between healthy and infected cows. However, after intrauterine infusion of oyster glycogen and autologus plasma in infected cows the values of serum glucose, calcium, and cholesterol improved and no significant difference was observed between healthy and infected cows. It may be concluded that cows with uterine infection are sub-clinically hypoglycemic and have lower concentration of serum calcium. The increase in the risk of uterine diseases in early lactation may be attributed to the inadequate energy level and lower concentration of calcium which is crucial in maintaining the local uterine and systemic immune response towards the pathogens. The objective of this study was to predict gestational age of Osmanabadi goats by realtime ultrasonography using measurements of Crown Rump Length (CRL). CRL was measured in 15 Osmanabadi goats, by transabdominal ultrasonography carried out on days 35, 42, 49, 56, 63 and 70 of gestation, those became pregnant after oestrus detection and natural mating following oestrus synchronization in 30 does using double PGF2α injections 11 days apart. Gestational age was calculated by using gestational equations derived from the linear regression analysis. Results clearly demonstrated that biometric parameter CRL was significantly (P< 0.01) correlated with gestational age (r= 0.988) and was a reliable index to predict gestational age in Osmanabadi goats. Group III was injected Ovsynch protocol and Group IV was kept as untreated control. Fixed timed Artificial Insemination was performed in all treated buffaloes. 100.00, 80.00, 90.00 and 00.00 per cent animals were responded and accordingly Artificial insemination was carried out. The overall average of calcium, phosphorous, cholesterol and protein are increases in respect of pregnant animal than the non pregnant animals for P<0.01, also it has been observed that the Gr. I having more effect than the other Groups. The conception rate was observed as 80.00, 50.00, 60.00 and 00.00 per cent respectively in Group I, II, III and IV. The overall conception rate was observed to be significantly higher in Group I i.e. Ovsynch + Progesterone impregnated intravaginal device followed by Group III i.e. Ovsynch protocol in buffaloes during breeding season. It can be concluded that combination of hormonal protocols is very effective for oestrus induction and conception rate in post partum anoestrus buffaloes during breeding season. The present study was carried out in thirty Osmanabadi goats. All the 30 Osmanabadi does were subjected to synchronization of oestrus with double dose of PGF2 alpha. Fifteen does responded within 48 hrs after second dose of PGF2 alpha. All responded does were allowed for natural service. Thirteen does were confirmed as pregnant after completion of the experiment by using these three techniques. In the present experiment sensitivity, specificity, positive predictive value, negative predictive value and overall accuracy of transrectal, transabdominal ultrasonography and serum progesterone was estimated and compared on day 19, 22, 26 and 35 days of gestation. Crown-Rump Length (CRL) of the foetus was measured and mean CRL on day 35 was (27.54 ± 1.02 mm) and calculated gestational age was (35.16 ± 0.40). On the basis of the results it was concluded that transrectal ultrasonography was more accurate than transabdominal and P4 assay in detection of early pregnancy on day 19 of gestation in Osmanabadi goat. The article presents a study which evaluated that superovulatory response of crossbred cows treated with once and twice daily subcutaneous injection of follitropin-V. Cows selected as donors were superovulated with two different protocols of follitropin-V on day 10 of the estrus cycle by randomly dividing into two different treatment groups. Results showed that there was no significant difference between both the groups' superovulatory response in terms of average number of corpora lutea, unovulatory follicles and total embryo recovery.

Eighteen anestrus Murrah buffalo were divided equally into three different groups comprising of 6 buffalo each. One group received norgestomet ear implant for 7 days along with norgestomet and estradiol valerate (i.m.) on day 0. Another group received inj. buserelin acetate (i.m.) on day 0 along with a progesterone impregnated intravaginal insert for 7 days. The remaining buffalo were kept as untreated control. Norgestomet-based and intravaginal progesterone-based treatment led to estrus induction in 50% and 83.3% buffalo, respectively. However, there was no difference (p>0.05) in time required for onset of estrus and duration of induced estrus between treatment groups. The intensity of estrus was better in intravaginal progesterone-treated buffalo. Five pluriparous high yielder cows parturated 48-72 hrs before reported with uterine prolapse. Severe abdominal straining, restlessness and struggling, anorexia, reduced water intake, increased pulse rate and respiration rate (tachycardia). Protruding mass was hanging out through the vulva with edematous swelling, contaminated with soil, dung particles, dirt with inflamed tissue necrotic, areas, lacerations and reddening. Six cows with pre-partum cervico-vaginal prolapse reported with history of severe straining and partial part of vaginal floor and cervix were exposed outside during mid to advance pregnancy period. The prolapsed mass was washed with mild solution of Potassium permanganate and with applying palm pressure repositioned in to the pelvic cavity and applied rope trust. Four buffaloes were presented with history of failure of parturition. Gyneco-clinical examination revealed long standing dystocia, foul smelling, extra sized dead foetuses at birth canal. Fluid therapy followed by supportive treatment was administered. Proper lubrication was made in uterus by carboxyl methyl cellulose sodium. Vaginal and uterine swabs were collected aseptically and subjected for cytology and antibiotic sensitivity studies In-vitro and in-vivo results revealed Gentamicin as the most suitable antibacterial.
