Because natural sweeteners are linked to a healthy lifestyle and have superior nutritional qualities, consumers today prefer them. Many authors have reported that Prostate Cancer (PC) and Cardiovascular Disease (CVD) are strongly associated, while it is not yet well established. The current report examines this fundamental query by examining the associations of a PC biomarker known as serum Prostatic Acid Phosphatase (PAP) with CVD risk factors such as Diastolic Blood Pressure (DBP), Systolic Blood Pressure (SBP), along with CVD history, and classified CVD patients based on Electrocardiogram (EKG) status, and conversely. It is derived herein that PAP has no association with SBP and DBP, while the mean PAP level is significantly higher for non-CVD subjects (P=0.0179), than for CVD patients. The variance of PAP level is significantly more scattered for CVD patients (P=0.0190) than normal, and also it is significantly more scattered for normal subjects based on EKG (P=0.0249), than the others. On the other hand, the mean and variance of DBP have no relation with PAP. Only the variance of DBP is significantly more scattered for normal subjects (P=0.0004) than PC patients, and it is significantly more scattered for PC patients with bone metastases (BM) (P=0.0021) than normal. Again, mean SBP decreases (P=0.0621) if PAP rises, while it increases as the primary tumor size (P=0.0054) increases. A similar association is observed for the variance of SBP with PAP, that is SBP variance is negatively associated with PAP (P=0.0045). It is well known that serum prostatic acid phosphatase (SPAP) may have a great role on Prostate Cancer Patients (PCPs), but its effects are not clearly identified in the prostate cancer literature. The current article aims to identify the effects of SPAP on PCPs. It is derived herein that mean SPAP level is higher for PCPs (P<0.0001) and PCPs confined to bed (P=0.0794) than normal. Mean SPAP level is higher for PCPs with Bone Metastases (BM) (P<0.0001), and it is lower for cardiovascular disease history patients (CDHPs) (P=0.0188) than normal. Mean SPAP level is positively connected with estrogen level (P=0.1148) in the log-normal fitted model, while it is highly significant (P<0.0001) in the gamma fitted model. In addition, mean SPAP level is positively related with Serum Hemoglobin (SHG) (P=0.0167), size of primary tumor (P=0.0092) and study time (P=0.0463). Variance of SPAP level is higher scattered for PCPs (P<0.0001), and PCPs with BM (P=0.0005), or CDHPs (P=0.0113) than normal. Again, variance of SPAP level is positively related with diastolic blood pressure (DBP) (P=0.0433), estrogen level (P=0.0225), size of primary tumor (SZ) (P=0.0915) and index of tumor stage and histolic grade (SG) (P=0.0155), while it is negatively connected with electrocardiogram status (P=0.0229) and SHG (P=0.0340). The relationship between Homeostasis Model Assessment of Insulin Resistance (HOMA-IR) and Breast Cancer (BC) biomarkers such as leptin, Monocyte Chemoattractant Protein-1 (MCP-1), resistin, adiponectin is little known in the medical literature based on probabilistic modeling. The current report focuses on the inter-relationships between HOMA-IR and BC markers. It has been derived from the gamma fitted mean HOMA-IR model that it is higher for healthy women (P<0.0001) than BC patients. It is positively associated with leptin (P=0.0747), while it is negatively associated with the interaction effect of insulin and leptin (insulin*leptin) (P=0.0016). Variance of HOMA-IR is negatively associated with adiponectin (P=0.0471), while it is positively associated with resistin (P=0.0755) and the interaction effect of glucose and adiponectin (glucose*adiponectin) (P=0.0305). From the log-normal HOMA-IR fitted model, it is shown that variance of HOMA-IR is negatively associated with leptin (P=0.0599). From MCP-1 fitted model, it has been shown that variance of MCP-1 is negatively associated with HOMA-IR (P=0.0055), while resistin fitted model has shown that mean resistin is negatively associated HOMA-IR (P=0.0698) and it is positively associated with the interaction effect of age and HOMA-IR (age*HOMA-IR) (P=0.1059). Introduction: Genetic polymorphisms associated with IgE-mediated food sensitization have been a robust area of research for decades. A genome-wide search for susceptible loci regulating the IgE response (atopy) identified the candidate gene STAT6, which is important in the context of food allergic manifestations. Objective: The present study was designed to investigate the sensitization of West Bengal population against some common allergenic food items and to study the role of the STAT6 gene polymorphism in elevating food-specific IgE levels among sensitized individuals. Methods: Skin prick test was performed for 6 food items among 501 patients (126 children, 85 adolescents, and 290 adults)from West Bengal, India. Among them, 165 patients were selected for measurement of total IgE and food-specific IgE levels along with 165 controls. Finally, the STAT6 (rs3024974 (C/T) polymorphism was genotyped in 139 cases and control subjects. Results: Shrimp was identified as a dominant food allergen in adolescents and adults, whereas milk sensitization was highest in children. Food-sensitized patients with onset during childhood had significantly higher total IgE levels compared to patients with onset during adulthood (p < 0.00001). The frequency of the rs3024974 CC genotype in both cases and control subjects (55.40 and 46.76%, respectively) was higher than that of CT or TT. Patients with childhood onset bearing the CC genotype had significantly higher specific IgE levels in comparison to those with adult onset (p = 0.001). Conclusion: Food sensitization has a genetic background and the rs3024974 polymorphism is associated with susceptibility and reaction severity in food-sensitized patients in West Bengal population in India.
