Brain tumors pose a significant threat to human lives and have gained increasing attention as the tenth leading cause of global mortality. This study addresses the pressing issue of brain tumor classification using Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). It focuses on distinguishing between Low-Grade Gliomas (LGG) and High-Grade Gliomas (HGG). LGGs are benign and typically manageable with surgical resection, while HGGs are malignant and more aggressive. The research introduces an innovative custom convolutional neural network (CNN) model, Glioma-CNN. GliomaCNN stands out as a lightweight CNN model compared to its predecessors. The research utilized the BraTS 2020 dataset for its experiments. Integrated with the gradient-boosting algorithm, GliomaCNN has achieved an impressive accuracy of 99.1569%. The model's interpretability is ensured through SHapley Additive exPlanations (SHAP) and Gradient-weighted Class Activation Mapping (Grad-CAM++). They provide insights into critical decision-making regions for classification outcomes. Cauliflower cultivation plays a pivotal role in the Indian Subcontinent's winter cropping landscape, contributing significantly to both agricultural output, economy and public health. However, the susceptibility of cauliflower crops to various diseases poses a threat to productivity and quality. This paper presents a novel machine vision approach employing a modified YOLOv8 model called Cauli-Det for automatic classification and localization of cauliflower diseases. The proposed system utilizes images captured through smartphones and handheld devices, employing a finetuned pre-trained YOLOv8 architecture for disease-affected region detection and extracting spatial features for disease localization and classification. Three common cauliflower diseases, namely 'Bacterial Soft Rot', 'Downey Mildew' and 'Black Rot' are identified in a dataset of 656 images. Evaluation of different modification and training methods reveals the proposed custom YOLOv8 model achieves a precision, recall and mean average precision (mAP) of 93.2%, 82.6% and 91.1% on the test dataset respectively, showcasing the potential of this technology to empower cauliflower farmers with a timely and efficient tool for disease management, thereby enhancing overall agricultural productivity and sustainability [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Machine learning techniques that rely on textual features or sentiment lexicons can lead to erroneous sentiment analysis. These techniques are especially vulnerable to domain-related difficulties, especially when dealing in Big data. In addition, labeling is time-consuming and supervised machine learning algorithms often lack labeled data. Transfer learning can help save time and obtain high performance with fewer datasets in this field. To cope this, we used a transfer learning-based Multi-Domain Sentiment Classification (MDSC) technique. We are able to identify the sentiment polarity of text in a target domain that is unlabeled by looking at reviews in a labelled source domain. This research aims to evaluate the impact of domain adaptation and measure the extent to which transfer learning enhances sentiment analysis outcomes. We employed transfer learning models BERT, RoBERTa, ELECTRA, and ULMFiT to improve the performance in sentiment analysis. We analyzed sentiment through various transformer models and compared the performance of LSTM and CNN. The experiments are carried on five publicly available sentiment analysis datasets, namely Hotel Reviews (HR), Movie Reviews (MR), Sentiment140 Tweets (ST), Citation Sentiment Corpus (CSC), and Bioinformatics Citation Corpus (BCC), to adapt multi-target domains. Smart parking systems play a vital role in enhancing the efficiency and sustainability of smart cities. However, most existing systems depend on sensors to monitor the occupancy of parking spaces, which entail high installation and maintenance costs and limited functionality in tracking vehicle movement within the car park. To address these challenges, we propose a multistage learning-based approach that leverages existing surveillance cameras within the car park and a self-collected dataset of Saudi license plates. The approach combines YOLOv5 for license plate detection, YOLOv8 for character detection, and a new convolutional neural network architecture for improved character recognition. We show that our approach outperforms the single-stage approach, achieving an overall accuracy of 96.1% versus 83.9% of the single-stage approach. The approach is also integrated into a web-based dashboard for real-time visualization and statistical analysis of car park occupancy and vehicle movement with an acceptable time efficiency. Leaf diseases are a global threat to crop production and food preservation. Detecting these diseases is crucial for effective management. We introduce LeafDoc-Net, a robust, lightweight transfer-learning architecture for accurately detecting leaf diseases across multiple plant species, even with limited image data. Our approach concatenates two pre-trained image classification deep learning-based models, DenseNet121 and MobileNetV2. We enhance DenseNet121 with an attention-based transition mechanism and global average pooling layers, while MobileNetV2 benefits from adding an attention module and global average pooling layers. We deepen the architecture with extra-dense layers featuring swish activation and batch normalization layers, resulting in a more robust and accurate model for diagnosing leaf-related plant diseases. LeafDoc-Net is evaluated on two distinct datasets, focused on cassava and wheat leaf diseases, demonstrating superior performance compared to existing models in accuracy, precision, recall, and AUC metrics. Ovarian cancer, a deadly female reproductive system disease, is a significant challenge in medical research due to its notorious lethality. Addressing ovarian cancer in the current medical landscape has become more complex than ever. This research explores the complex field of Ovarian Cancer Subtype Classification and the crucial task of Outlier Detection, driven by a progressive automated system, as the need to fight this unforgiving illness becomes critical. This study primarily uses a unique dataset painstakingly selected from 20 esteemed medical institutes. The dataset includes a wide range of images, such as tissue microarray (TMA) images at 40× magnification and whole-slide images (WSI) at 20× magnification. The research is fully committed to identifying abnormalities within this complex environment, going beyond the classification of subtypes of ovarian cancer. We proposed a new Attention Embedder, a state-of-the-art model with effective results in ovarian cancer subtype classification and outlier detection. Using images magnified WSI, the model demonstrated an astonishing 96.42% training accuracy and 95.10% validation accuracy. Similarly, with images magnified via a TMA, the model performed well, obtaining a validation accuracy of 94.90% and a training accuracy of 93.45%. Our fine-tuned hyperparameter testing resulted in exceptional performance on independent images. At 20× magnification, we achieved an accuracy of 93.56%. Even at 40× magnification, our testing accuracy remained high, at 91.37%. This study highlights how machine learning can revolutionize the medical field's ability to classify ovarian cancer subtypes and identify outliers, giving doctors a valuable tool to lessen the severe effects of the disease. The rapid growth of the Internet of Things (IoT) and its integration into various industries has made it extremely challenging to guarantee IoT systems' dependability and quality, including scalability, dynamicity, and integration with existing IoT frameworks. However, the essential principles, approaches, and advantages of model-driven IoT testing indicate a promising strategy for overcoming these. This paper proposes a metamodeling-based interoperability and integration testing approach for IoT systems that automates the creation of test cases and the assessment of system performance by utilizing formal models to reflect the behavior and interactions of IoT systems. The proposed model-based testing enables the systematic verification and validation of complex IoT systems by capturing the essential characteristics of IoT devices, networks, and interactions. This study describes the key elements of model-driven IoT testing, including the development of formal models, methods for generating test cases, and the execution and assessment of models. In addition, it examines various modeling formalisms and their use in IoT testing, including state-based, event-driven, and hybrid models. This study examines several methods for creating test cases to ensure thorough and effective testing, such as constraint-based strategies and model coverage requirements. The guava plant is widely cultivated in various regions of the Sub-Continent and Asian countries, including Bangladesh, due to its adaptability to different soil conditions and climate environments. The fruit plays a crucial role in providing food security and nutrition for the human body. However, guava plants are susceptible to various infectious leaf diseases, leading to significant crop losses. To address this issue, several heavyweight deep learning models have been developed in precision agriculture. This research proposes a transfer learning-based model named GLD-Det, which is designed to be both lightweight and robust, enabling real-time detection of guava leaf disease using two benchmark datasets. GLD-Det is a modified version of MobileNet, featuring additional components with two pooling layers such as max and global average, three batch normalisation layers, three dropout layers, ReLU as an activation function with four dense layers, and SoftMax as a classification layer with the last lighter dense layer. The proposed GLD-Det model outperforms all existing models with impressive accuracy, precision, recall, and AUC score with values of 0.98, 0.98, 0.97, and 0.99 on one dataset, and with values of 0.97, 0.97, 0.96, and 0.99 for the other dataset, respectively. Scheduling jobs within a cloud environment is a critical area of research that necessitates meticulous analysis. It entails the challenge of optimally assigning jobs to various cloud servers, each with different capabilities, and is classified as a non-deterministic polynomial (NP) problem. Many conventional methods have been suggested to tackle this difficulty, but they often struggle to find nearly perfect solutions within a reasonable timeframe. As a result, researchers have turned to evolutionary algorithms to tackle this problem. However, relying on a single metaheuristic approach can be problematic as it may become trapped in local optima, resulting in slow convergence. Therefore, combining different metaheuristic strategies to improve the overall system enactment is essential. This paper presents a novel approach that integrates three methods to enhance exploration and exploitation, increasing search process efficiency and optimizing many-objective functions. In the initial phase, we adopt cooperative game theory with merge-and-split techniques to train computing hosts at different utilization load levels, determining the ideal utilization for each server. This approach ensures that servers operate at their highest utilization range, maximizing their profitability. In the second stage, we incorporate the mean variation of the grey wolf optimization algorithm, making significant adjustments to the encircling and hunting phases to enhance the exploitation of the search space. In the final phase, we introduce an innovative pollination operator inspired by the sunflower optimization algorithm to enrich the exploration of the search domain. By skillfully balancing exploration and exploitation, we effectively address many-objective optimization problems. To validate the performance of our proposed method, we conducted experiments using both real-world and synthesized datasets, employing CloudSim software version 5.0. The evaluation involved two sets of experiments to measure different evaluation metrics. In the first experiment, we focused on minimizing factors such as energy costs, completion time, latency, and SLA violations. The second experiment, in contrast, aimed at maximizing metrics such as service quality, bandwidth utilization, asset utilization ratio, and service provider outcomes.
