This study aims to design and produce free fall motion experiment for helping student to calculate gravity constant. The instrument use automatic timer controlled by the Arduino uno microcontroller. From this experiment, it can be known the magnitude of the value of the acceleration and then gravitational constant are calculated. At the distance of 44 cm and time for free fall about 0.297 s, the acceleration due to gravity about 9.8 m/s2 was found. This result corresponds to the reference value. While the results of manual measurements produce an acceleration of gravity with a fairly large error rate of 5.20 m/s2. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

This study reports the preliminary study of application of Moringa oleifera resin as polymer electrolyte in dye-sensitized solar cell (DSSC). We found that polymer electrolyte membrane was formed by using solution casting methods. It is observed that polymer electrolyte was in elastic form and it is very potential to application as DSSC component. This study reports effort to improve performance of solar cells by using various natural dyes in dye-sensitized solar cell (DSSC). We applied three kind of natural dye, i.e, black rice dye, cactus dye and dragon fruit dye. We found that performance of DSSC which employ black rice dye was higher than other natural dyes. It is because the wider spectrum wavelength of black rice dyes. Its performance also compared with rhutenium dye (N719). Effect of TiO2 particle to DSSC performance was also investigated. It was concluded that smaller TiO2 particle size will increase the performance of DSSC solar cells. It was because the smaller particle size (high surface area) will load more dye. TiO2 thin films with its pore coated by copper (Cu) nanoparticles have been developed in order to improve the TiO2 based solar cells performance. Contact between Cu nanoparticles and TiO2 play role in minimizing the recombination of electron-hole pairs and increasing electron transfer in TiO2 based solar cells. The Cu coating on the space between TiO2 has been performed by electroplating methods. It is found that the solar cells performance of Cu coated TiO2 films become higher than of the pure TiO2 film. TiO2 solar cells were fabricated consisting TiO2 layer, TiO2 nanocomposite layers, electrolyte polymer and counter electrode layer. It was found that TiO2 nanocomposite layer that contains metal (Zn) contact could be conductive and make better charge transfer than pure TiO2. Conversion efficiency 1.0% was achieved using TiO2 nanocomposite. It indicates that using of TiO2 nanocomposite is an effective technique for improvement of conversion efficiency.
