Abstract Introduction Existing research has shown that intimate partner violence (IPV) may hinder maternal access to healthcare services, thereby affecting maternal and child health. However, current studies have ignored whether emotional intimate partner violence (EV) could negatively affect maternal healthcare use. This study aims to evaluate the impact of invisible IPV on maternal healthcare utilization in Pakistan. Methods We analyzed nationally representative data from the Pakistan Demographic and Health Survey database from 2012–2013 and 2017–2018. Exposure to physical intimate partner violence (PV) and EV was the primary predictor. Based on women’s last birth records, outcomes included three binary variables indicating whether women had inadequate antenatal care (ANC) visits, non-institutional delivery, and lack of postnatal health check-ups. A logistic regression model was established on weighted samples. Results Exposure to EV during pregnancy was significantly associated with having inadequate ANC visits (aOR = 2.16, 95% CI: 1.06 to 4.38, p = 0.033) and non-institutional delivery (aOR = 2.24, 95% CI: 1.41 to 3.57, p = 0.001). Lifetime exposure to EV was associated with increased risks of inadequate ANC visits (aOR = 1.48, 95% CI: 1.00 to 2.19, p = 0.049). In this research article, the viscous, steady, and incompressible two-dimensional hybrid nanofluid flow composed of Fe3O4 and Au nanoparticles on an extending sheet has been presented. An inclined magnetic field impact is used for evaluating the impacts of various factors in that case. Furthermore, the influences of porosity, Brownian motion, thermophoresis, thermal and space-dependent heat sources, and thermal radiation factors are also used in this work. The numerical analysis is done by using the bvp4c technique. Validation of the present results confirms that the present analysis is valid. The outcomes show that the higher magnetic factor reduces velocity distribution while increasing the frictional force at the surface due to Lorentz forces which oppose the fluid flow. The friction force at the sheet’s surface is higher when the sheet stretches as compared to the case when the sheet shrinks. Increase in the magnetic factor increases the skin friction of sheet’s surface which consequently increases the rate of thermal transmission at the surface along with thermal distribution. The higher values of thermal radiation and thermal-dependent heat source increase the thermal transportation rate of sheet’s surface. Insights from this investigation can improve electronics cooling systems, vital for devices prone to overheating. Optimizing heat transfer with magnetohydrodynamic water-based hybrid nanofluids containing Fe3O4 and Au nanoparticles ensures efficient heat dissipation, enhancing device performance and longevity.

The boundary-layer flow on a shrinking/contracting sheet has abundant industrial applications, which include continuous glass casting, metal or polymer extrusions, and wire drawing. In this regard, the present analysis focuses the hybrid nanofluid flow on an exponentially extending sheet. The water-based hybrid nanofluid flow contains CoFe2O4 and TiO2 nanoparticles. Heat transfer rate analysis involves the utilization of the Cattaneo–Christov heat flux model. Moreover, the Brownian motion and thermophoresis effects are used in this novel work. The mathematical model is presented in the form of system of partial differential equations, which is then transformed into system of ordinary differential equations (ODEs) using the similarity variables. The system of ODEs is evaluated by homotopy analysis method. The variation in the flow profiles has been investigated using figures and tables. The conclusions demonstrate that the effect of magnetic parameter is 52% better for hybrid nanofluid flow than for the pure water. Conversely, the increasing magnetic parameter diminishes the thermal transfer rates for water, TiO2–H2O, CoFe2O4–H2O, and TiO2–CoFe2O4/H2O. The increasing thermophoresis parameter upsurges the thermal flow rate of nanofluids and hybrid nanofluid, while the increasing Brownian motion parameter lessens the thermal transfer rates of nanofluids and hybrid nanofluid. The increasing effect of thermophoresis parameter is 39% better for hybrid nanofluid than for the base fluid. However, the declining impression of Brownian motion factor is 48% greater for hybrid nanofluid related to pure water.

Hybrid nanofluid problems are used for augmentation of thermal transportation in various industrial applications. Therefore, the present problem is studied for the heat and mass transportation features of hybrid nanofluid caused by extending surface along with porous media. In this investigation, the authors have emphasized to analyze hybrid nanofluid flow containing diamond and copper nanoparticles on an extending surface. Furthermore, the velocity, temperature, and concentration slip constraints are adopted to examine the flow of fluid. Heat source, chemical reactivity, thermal radiation, Brownian motion and effects are taken into consideration. Nonlinear modeled equations are converted into dimensionless through similarity variables. By adopting the homotopy analysis method, the resulting equations are simulated analytically. The impacts of various emerging factors on the flow profiles (i.e., velocities, temperature, concentration, skin frictions, local Nusselt number, and Sherwood number) are shown using Figures and Tables. The major key findings reveal that the hybrid nanofluid temperature is higher but the concentration is lower for a Brownian diffusivity parameter. Moreover, increment role of heat transport is achieved due to the increment in radiation factor, thermophoresis, Brownian motion factors, and Eckert number. It has also been observed that velocity in x-direction converges in the region −0.8≤ℏf≤0.5-0.8\le {\hslash }_{\text{f}}\le 0.5, in y-direction velocity is convergent in the zone −0.6≤ℏg≤0.35-0.6\le {\hslash }_{\text{g}}\le 0.35, while temperature converges in the region −0.6≤ℏθ≤0.4-0.6\le {\hslash }_{\text{θ}}\le 0.4 and concentration converges in the region −0.5≤ℏφ≤0.4-0.5\le {\hslash }_{\text{φ}}\le 0.4.

Objectives: One of the largest health concerns, postpartum depression (PPD), has detrimental effects on new mothers, their child, and their family. Investigating under-researched risk factors for postpartum depression in Asian women is the goal of this review of the literature. Methods: The literature was searched using a number of electronic research databases. This review included studies that meet the following requirements: (a) they evaluated risk variables; (b) they were conducted in Asian countries using quantitative or qualitative methods; and (c) they were published in English in peer-reviewed journals between 2007 and 2023. A total of 90 studies from 14 different countries were reviewed, compiled, and synthesized. Results: In Asian countries, where rates ranged from 0.82 % to 93 %, South Korea and Japan had the lowest and highest rates of postpartum depression, respectively. The risk factors for postpartum depression were divided into five main categories: biological/physical (e.g., ABO blood group, oxytocin level), psychological (e.g., antenatal depression, body dissatisfaction, child care stress), obstetric/pediatric (e.g., loss of baby, abortions, pain), socio-demographic (e.g., low social support, poverty, loss of autonomy), and cultural (e.g., gender preference). Conclusion: This phenomenon is prevalent in Asian cultures as it is in European Countries. The repercussions of untreated postpartum depression can lead to long-term psychological and developmental issues in children and strain the familial bonds essential for a nurturing environment. Moreover, understanding the specific risk factors faced by Asian women can pave the way for culturally sensitive interventions and support systems designed to address and mitigate these challenges effectively.

This research delves into dynamics of magnetohydrodynamic second-grade fluid flow influenced by the presence of gyrotactic microorganisms on a stretching sheet. The study takes into account various factors such as thermal radiation, chemical reactivity, and activation energy, all of which contribute to the complex behavior of fluid flow in this system. The interaction between the magnetic field and the fluid, combined with the biological aspect introduced by gyrotactic microorganisms, adds complexity to the overall analysis. The mathematical model is presented in the form of partial differential equations (PDE)s. Using the similarity variables, the modeled PDEs are transformed into ordinary differential equations. Homotopy analysis method is used for the solution of the modeled equations. After a detailed insight into this investigation, it is established that the velocity distribution declined for growth in magnetic factor and second-grade fluid parameter. The thermal characteristics are augmented for the greater values of radiation, thermophoretic and Brownian motion factors, while these profiles are weakened for upsurge in thermal relaxation time factor and Prandtl number. The concentration characteristics declined with the enhancement in Schmidt number, mass relaxation time, chemical reaction, and Brownian motion factors, while they amplified with enhancement in activation energy and thermophoresis factors. The microorganisms’ profiles are the declining functions of bioconvection Lewis and Peclet numbers. This study included a comparative analysis, which aligns closely with existing research, demonstrating a strong concordance with established findings.

The heat and mass transportation for nanofluid across a swirling cylinder under the actions of magnetic effects and Cattaneo–Christov heat flux is reported in the current analysis. The objective of this study is to examine the energy and mass transmissions through hybrid nanofluid under the influence of heat source/sink and reactive species. The hybrid nanoliquid has been prepared by the dispersion of silver (Ag) and gold (Au) nanoparticles (NPs) in the base fluid ethylene glycol (C2H6O2). The flow phenomena are expressed in the form of nonlinear partial differential equations and are converted to a nondimensional form, by employing the similarity substitution. For the computational estimation of the problem, the parametric continuation method is employed. The demonstration of velocity, mass, and energy outlines versus distinct physical factors is exposed in the form of figures. It has been perceived that the axial and swirling velocity outline drops with the influence of the Reynolds number, magnetic effect, and the insertion of Au and Ag NPs in C2H6O2. Furthermore, the hybrid nanofluid energy curve declines with the effect of the Reynolds number, thermal relaxation factor, and the volume friction of NPs.

This article presented micropolar hybrid nanofluid flow comprising copper and alumina nanoparticles over a flat sheet. The mixed convection phenomenon is studied under the effect of gravity. Some additional forces such as magnetic field, thermal radiation, Eckert number, heat source, and thermal slip condition are adopted in this analysis. The leading equations are transformed into dimensionless format by employing appropriate variables and then evaluated by homotopy analysis method (HAM). The obtained results are compared with published results and found a good agreement with those published results. Also, the results of HAM are compared with those of numerical method and found a good agreement as well. The fluctuations within the flow profiles are showcased utilizing figures and tables, followed by an in-depth discussion and analysis. The outcomes of this work show that the higher volume fractions of copper and alumina nanoparticles improved the hybrid nanofluid viscosity, which results in the augmenting variation in the velocity profiles. The higher volume fractions of copper and alumina nanoparticles improved the hybrid nanofluid thermal conductivity, which results in the augmenting variation in thermal distribution. The growing mixed convection factor amplifies the buoyancy force toward the stagnation point flow, which enlarges the velocity panel. The effects of hybrid nanoparticles (Cu-Al2O3/water) at the surface are smaller on friction force and larger in case of thermal flow rate when compared to the nanofluids (Cu/water and Al2O3/water).

A metallic alloy is a combination of two or more elements, often called a compound or a solution. Steel is largely composed of carbon, a nonmetal, but alloys are often made up of metals. In this article, the authors have explored the electrically conducting water-based viscous nanofluids flow past a rotating disk surface. The nanofluids flow is composed of titanium and aluminum alloys where water is used as a base fluid. Two important cases, namely the stretching case and the shrinking case, were investigated to analyze the flow behaviors due to the different embedding factors. The impacts of viscous Joule heating, thermophoresis, Brownian motion, activation energy, nonlinear thermal radiation, and chemical reaction are investigated here. By employing an appropriate set of variables for shifting the leading equations to dimension-free form. The mathematical model is solved numerically by incorporating the bvp4c MATLAB scheme. Current work is validated with previous studies. The outcomes showed that the radial velocity increases when the disk surface stretches and reduces when the disk surface shrinks. On the other hand, the Azimuthal velocity increases when the disk surface shrinks and reduces when disk surface stretches. Both the radial and Azimuthal velocities are the diminishing functions of the magnetic factor, whereas temperature is the growing function of magnetic factor. In addition, the temperature is more influenced by the magnetic factor in the case of nonlinear radiation. The higher magnetic factor increases skin friction. In addition, the stretching case experiences more surface drag than the shrinking case. It is found that nanofluid flow containing titanium alloy has perceived the greater impacts of the embedded factors compared to the nanofluid flow containing aluminum alloy.

This study presents a numerical investigation of a viscous and incompressible three-dimensional flow of hybrid nanofluid composed of Ag and Al2O3 nanoparticles over a convectively heated bi-directional extending sheet with a porous medium. The main equations are converted into dimensionless form by using appropriate variables. The effects of magnetic field, porosity, Brownian motion, thermophoresis, and chemical reaction are investigated. Furthermore, the mass flux and zero-mass flux constraints are used to study heat and mass transfer rates. The obtained data show that the growing magnetic factor has reduced the velocity profiles while increasing the thermal profile. The increased porosity factor has decreased the velocity profiles. The increased thermal Biot number has increased the concentration and thermal profiles. When compared to passive control of nanoparticles, the hybrid nanofluid flow profiles are strongly influenced by the embedded factor in the active control of nanoparticles.

In the present analysis, we have analyzed the three-dimensional flow of an electromagnetohydrodynamic copper–aluminum/water hybrid nanofluid flow on a Riga plate. The heat and mass flux model proposed by Cattaneo-Christov is deliberated here. Thermal radiation, thermophoretic diffusion, Brownian motion, and chemical reaction phenomena are considered in analyzing the flow problem. Thermal convective, mass convective, and velocity slip conditions are adapted in this analysis. Suitable resemblance variables are implemented for the conversion of the model equations to dimension-free form. The homotopy analysis method is adopted to solve the modeled equations. The obtained results show that the velocity profiles are reduced with an increasing estimation of the slip factors. Additionally, the nanoparticles’ concentration and the temperature of the hybrid nanofluid increase with higher values of thermal and solutal Biot numbers. The Nusselt number is increased with an increase in the radiation factor and thermal Biot number.

In recent years, many numerical and analytical attempts have been reported by the researchers to explore the technological and industrial processes. Thermal management, hybrid-powered engine, microelectronics, heat exchanger, solar systems, energy generators are some recent applications of the heat and mass transfer flow. In this article, we have theoretically analyzed the convection flow of Walters-B fluid past a vertical extending surface. The Walters-B nanofluid contains the gyrotactic microorganisms and nanoparticles. The slip and convective conditions are imposed on the velocity and temperature equations. The modeled equations are reformed into the system of ordinary differential equations. Further, the transformed ordinary differential equations are solved analytically. The analytical results are compared with numerical solution and have found great resemblance to each other. The convergence analysis of analytical solution is also presented in this study. The impacts of the embedded factors on Walters-B nanofluid have been presented and deliberated in detail. The results show that the improvement in viscoelastic and magnetic parameter declined the nanofluid motion for both slip and no-slip conditions. The escalated mixed convection parameter has augmented the nanofluid motion. Additionally, at the surface of sheet, the slip condition reduces the fluid motion, however, away from the stretching surface, an increasing conduct up-to some points and then free stream velocity is found. The increased bioconvection Lewis number has increased the microorganisms’ profile while the greater bioconvection Peclet number has increased the microorganisms’ profiles reduced. The streamline patterns for Newtonian, non-Newtonian, magnetized, and non-magnetized cases have different behaviors. The flow factors have dominant impact on velocity profiles for the case of slip condition.

Due to its widespread applications in areas including heat exchangers, cancer therapy, heat storage devices, biomedicine, and biotechnology, nanofluid has become one of the most important fluids in thermal engineering. One difficulty with these applications of nanofluids is the improvement of heat conductivity via nanoparticles. This aims to illustrate the bioconvectional cross-flow of a nanofluid in the existence of swimming gyrotactic microorganisms over a vertical stretching cylinder. We consider the chemical reaction and thermal radiation in the energy and concentration equations. Through the use of appropriate dimensionless variables, a nonlinear system of partial differential equations has been transformed into ordinary differential equations (ODEs). The BVP4c method is applied to construct the resultant governing ODEs. The significance of physical variables is demonstrated through plots and tabular data. Our finding explains that the temperature intensifies due to larger curvature parameters and Weissenberg variables, while the opposite effect is examined in the velocity profile. With upsurge in thermophoresis parameter, the temperature upsurges accordingly. As the bioconvection Lewis number rises, microbial concentration falls. The results obtained in this investigation could be useful in practical applications like numerous areas of engineering, biotechnology, nanotechnology, and medical sciences etc.

The present work describes the synthetic procedure of 1,2,4-triazole derivatives (1–14) synthesized efficiently in a single step reaction. Basic skeleton confirmation was achieved through different characterization approaches, such as nuclear magnetic resonance(1HNMR and13CNMR) and high-resolution electron ionization mass spectrometry(HREI-MS). In vitro biological assessment of these scaffolds as anti-urease and anti-cancer agents was analyzed in presence of their standard compounds thiourea (IC50 = 9.30 ± 0.20 µM)and Tetrandrine (IC50 = 11.70 ± 0.10 µM), respectively. Inhibition ranges were observed for all scaffolds with IC50 = 2.10 ± 0.20–––37.40 ± 1.10 µM and IC50 = 4.10 ± 0.10–––39.90 ± 0.20 µM, respectively. Among the screened, the potent behavior were shown by scaffolds 3 (IC50 = 2.10 ± 0.20 and 4.10 ± 0.10 µM), 4(IC50 = 3.20 ± 1.10 and 5.20 ± 0.20 µM), 5(IC50 = 4.20 ± 0.30 and 5.60 ± 0.10 µM), 13(IC50 = 5.80 ± 1.10 and 5.90 ± 0.10 µM)and 14(IC50 = 4.30 ± 1.20 and 6.10 ± 1.20 µM).These analogs show the excellent inhibition owing to the spellbinding reactivity of –CF3, −F, −Cl and –OH moieties, which decelerate enzyme potential via effective binding between drug molecule and enzyme. These compounds were further investigated by means of molecular docking studies which explore the binding interaction of ligand within the binding pockets of enzymes. In this regard, excellent results were found in both the activity profiles of these scaffolds. Additionally, ADMET investigations also strengthen the drug profile of the potent compounds.

The time-independent and incompressible blood-based hybrid nanofluid flow, including Au and Cu nanoparticles across an expanding sheet, has been studied. To illustrate the non-Newtonian performance of the blood-based hybrid nanofluid flow, a non-Newtonian model known as the Carreau–Yasuda model is used. The hybrid nanofluid flow is studied under the influence of magnetic effects, thermal radiation, Brownian motion, thermophoresis, and chemical reactivity. Homotopy analysis method (HAM) is employed to evaluate the modeled equations. A study is conducted on the convergence analysis of HAM, and the HAM and numerical analyses are compared. From the present analysis, the velocity profile increases with an increase in Weissenberg number and decreases with increasing magnetic factor. The temperature, concentration, and microorganisms profiles increase in tandem with the higher thermal Biot, concentration Biot, and microorganism Biot numbers. The thermal and concentration profiles, respectively, have decreased due to the larger thermal and concentration relaxation time factors. The microorganism profiles have decreased due to the increased bioconvection of Lewis and Peclet populations. The modeled equations can be solved by both the HAM and the numerical approaches, validating both approaches to solution.
