This study aimed to examine the relationship between nursing informatics competencies and clinical decision-making by taking into account nurses' individual characteristics and job-related characteristics. A cross-sectional design was used. The cluster random sampling method was adopted to select 14 governmental hospitals in West Bank, Palestine, in which all nurses in these hospitals were invited to participate in this study. Results found that the total mean (SD) score for the nursing informatics competency scale was 2.6 (0.88), which indicates that the nurses had lower nursing informatics competency, and the informatics skills subscale had the lowest mean score (mean [SD], 2.4 [1.00]). Concerning clinical decision-making, the total mean (SD) score was 2.59 (0.38), which indicates that the nurses had lower clinical decision-making. Regarding clinical decision-making subscales, searching for information and unbiased assimilation of new information had the highest mean score (mean [SD], 2.64 [0.39]); on the contrary, the canvassing of objectives and values subscale had the lowest mean score (mean [SD], 2.53 [0.38]). Nursing informatics competency had a positive relationship with clinical decision-making. Thus, it is necessary to enhance nurses' informatics competency, especially informatics skills and clinical decision-making, by developing training programs about this technology directed to nurses.

هدفت الدراسة إلى معرفة أثر تطبيق إدارة المعرفة في قسمي الإرشاد في مديريتي تربية جنين وقباطية على دور المرشد التربوي، ولتحقيق هذا الهدف اتبعت الدراسة المنهج الوصفي، حيث قام الباحثان بتطوير أداة للدراسة شملت قسمين رئيسين؛ الأول لقياس درجة تطبيق إدارة قسم الإرشاد للمعرفة، بينما الثاني لقياس دور المرشد التربوي، وزعت على عينة تكونت من (93) مرشدا ومرشدة من المرشدين العاملين في مدارس مديريتي تربية جنين وقباطية، فبعد جمع البيانات وتحليلها أظهرت النتائج وجود علاقة ارتباطية موجبة (طردية) بين كل بعد من أبعاد إدارة المعرفة، وكل بعد من أبعاد دور المرشد التربوي، كما تبين وجود أثر لتطبيق إدارة المعرفة بأبعادها على دور المرشد ككل ودوره مع الحالات الفردية، والجماعات المدرسية، والتنظيمات المدرسية والمحلية.

İleriye dönük planlama, inşaat yönetiminde master iş programı ile saha üretimi arasında aracı olarak önemli bir role sahiptir. İleriye dönük planlamanın etkin uygulanması, saha performansını, iş sıralamasını, ve işlerle kaynakların eşleştirilmesini göz önünde bulundurarak inşaat yönetimi ve üretim kontrolünü belirlenen ileriye dönük süre için iyileştirebilir. Bununla birlikte, bu süreç elle hazırlanan bir süreç olmaya devam etmektedir, Bina Bilgisi Modellemesi (BIM) ile entegre değildir ve süreç alternatiflerini bu seviyede değerlendirilmesi zordur. Buna ek olarak, ileriye dönük planlama (LAS) süreci ve saha üretimi arasında tasarım değişiklikleri, saha ilerleme durumu ve kaynakların kullanılabilirliği gibi bilgiler açısından bir boşluk mevcuttur. BIM ve simülasyon, ileriye dönük planlama süreçlerini iyileştirme potansiyeline sahiptir.Bu tez, ileriye dönük planlama sürecini yapısal BIM ve kaynak entegrasyonlu simülasyon yaklaşımı içinde çalıştırma amaçlı teknikler ortaya koymaktadır. Bu teknikler BIM kullanımı ile planlama ve saha ile ilgili gerekli bilgileri bütünleştirir ve analiz eder. Bu bilgiler, BIM elemanları için bir kodlama yapısı, çalışma kapsamı için işler ve iş sırası, mevcut kaynak verileri, inşaat kısıtlamaları ve BIM ile entegre saha ilerleme bilgilerini içerir. Gerekli bilgiler analiz için GSimX isimli mevcut bir simülasyon platformunu kullanarak ileriye dönük planlamayı entegre bir platformda bütünleştirilmiştir.Bu tezde sunulan bina örneği, simülasyon desteğiyle ve yalın inşaat yaklaşımı altında, bu yaklaşımın genel olarak kullanımını ortaya koymaktadır. Sonuçlar, ekip ve ekipman durumu, saha çalışma ilerlemesi ve kısıtlamaları değerlendirerek ileriye dönük iş programı alternatiflerini göstermekte ve master iş programını güncellemektedir. Sonuç olarak, planlamacılar, etkin bir şekilde ileriye dönük iş programlarını üretebilecek ve bunları simülasyon kullanarak BIM ortamında kaynaklarla eşleştirebilecektir. Look-ahead planning has a key role for construction management as an intermediary between master schedules and site production. Its effective implementation can improve construction management and production control for a specific time period, while considering site performance, work sequencing, and matching tasks to resources. However, it remains a highly manual process, it is not integrated with Building Information Modeling (BIM), and it is hard to consider process alternatives at this level. In addition, there is a gap between Look-ahead Scheduling (LAS) process and site production in terms of information such as design changes, site progress, and resources availability. BIM and simulation have potential for improving look-ahead planning processes.This thesis presents techniques to make look-ahead scheduling process work within a structured BIM and resource-integrated simulation approach. It integrates and analyzes necessary information from planning and site using BIM. This information includes a coding structure for BIM entities, tasks and work sequence for scopes of work, available resource data, construction constraints and site progress information are integrated with BIM. The necessary information is integrated in a unified platform for look-ahead planning using an existing simulation tool called GSimX for analysis.The building test case presented in this thesis demonstrates the approach with simulation support to generalize its use within lean construction context. The results show alternatives of look-ahead schedule considering the crews and equipment status, site progress and constraints. Results also demonstrate updating of master schedules. As a result, planners will be able to effectively generate look-ahead tasks and match them with resources all within a BIM environment using simulation. 123

Implementing workplace diversity has become a major focus in many Human Resource departments. Diversity workforce can contribute to the organization’s success by enabling access to a changing marketplace via the organization’s multicultural employees. This study aimed to examine the impact of workforce diversity on the job performance in hotels operating in Jordan. Four dimensions of workplace diversity were included in the study: Gender, Age, Nationality, and Education background, on the other hand, job performance was measured by two dimensions: task performance and contextual performance. The study population consists of all managers working at different managerial levels in hotels in Jordan; samples of 389 managers were selected to represent the study population. Data were collected using a questionnaire developed on the strength of previous studies. Both IMB SPSS 19.0 and AMOS 23.0 were run to examine and test measures, data and hypotheses. The results of the study supported the hypotheses that workforce diversity dimensions; Gender, age, nationality and educational background have a positive impact on job performance. Based on the study results the researchers recommend managers and decision makers of hotels in Jordan need to create better diversity management action plans in order to better accommodate the changing business environment.

In this paper, a novel monopole antenna based on a special type of fiber is fabricated and measured around the 2.4 GHz frequency band. The measured return loss and radiation pattern are compared with those of a conventional monopole antenna made by copper wires. This novel concept of device based on fiber is a good candidate for wireless body area networks for its ease of flexible-antenna formation and potential for on-body proximity sensing.

The aim of this study was to investigate the impact of supply chain flexibility on customer satisfaction. The entire population consisted of managers of drugstores who are directly having a contact with pharmaceutical industry companies in Jordan was deemed as a sample of the current study. A total of 200 questionnaires were handed to the subjects, out of them 144 questionnaires were used as primary data for the purpose of the present study. Both IMB SPSS 19.0 and AMOS 23.0 were run to examine hypotheses. The results of the study supported the hypotheses that new product, distribution, delivery, and responsiveness flexibility have significant influences on customer satisfaction. In light of these findings, it was concluded that customers or managers of drugstores are strongly concerned with supply chain flexibility, even a large part of their satisfaction relates to this aspect. The originality of this study is that it was conducted on Jordanian drugstores, especially since studies on these settings are still very few. The study recommends that a hard work should be done to improve the supply chain flexibility of pharmaceutical companies due to its significant impact on customer satisfaction.
