Sustainability in businesses is characterized by organizations having a positive effect on the environment, community and society in addition to having a positive impact on the economy. Businesses that adopt a triple bottom line vision sustain longer in the business since they mitigate risks associated with the society and the environment. Business sustainability is integral if businesses in India seek to achieve sustainable growth and generate sustainable value. This study aims to investigate whether Indian consumers demand sustainable businesses; businesses that encompass the environmental and social dimension along with the economic dimension. Since businesses occupy a large place in our society, adoption of sustainability by them would lead to a spiral impact on the society as well as the environment. The research methodology of this study incorporates literature review as well as primary data collection from 120 respondents from various fields like business, sustainability, engineering, economics, environmental sciences and medicine. It applies statistical tools like descriptive statistics (mean, standard deviation, range), Karl Pearson correlation graphical tools for analyzing the data. The studies’ discoveries demonstrate that there exists a socio-economic case for businesses adopting sustainable practices. This conclusion is presented owing to the findings of this study. According to the findings, there exists a significant relationship between loyalty of customers towards sustainable businesses and willingness to pay more for their products. Also, a significant relationship between those business that have a sustainable history and the customers having a good image of their company was found to exist. Keeping in view the findings, this study tries to put forward certain suggestions and calls for attention of businesses to generate value through adoption of sustainable practices. Hence, this study realizes the potential of sustainability in giving the businesses in India an economic boost and calls for capitalizing on this socio-economic opportunity by all business organizations.

In recent years, there has been a rise in the number of Indians who have bank accounts, with this figure believed to be close to 80% at present. Fintech businesses in India are progressively becoming more noticeable as the Government of India (GoI) continues to strive for expanding financial services to the underbanked sector of the population. To reach the underbanked segments of the population and provide a stable operating environment for fintech businesses, India must seek to increase financial inclusion. In this study, regression and correlation were employed, together with secondary data gathered from the RBI, to analyze this influence. The aim was to determine the impact of fintech and digital financial services on financial inclusion in India. According to the results, fintech businesses have significantly aided financial inclusion in this nation, especially for the middle class. These findings will be helpful for policy-makers working hard to bring every individual in this country into an organized financial system.

In the present communication we report the measurement of small displacement of reflecting surface (plane mirror) using wedge plate lateral shearing interferometry. With the help of simple mathematical analysis relation between specimen displacement and difference phase is undertaken. Fourier based fringe analysis technique is used for determination of difference phase. Theoretical and experimental investigations are carried out to check the sensitivity of the technique. The detailed discussion regarding sources of errors and uncertainty analysis is also incorporated and the expanded uncertainty is found to be ±0.00236mm. A greenhouse is a structure made mainly of transparent material, in which plants are grown in a controlled manner. Traditional method of monitoring greenhouse involves human labor and is very time consuming process. The proposed method deals with the scope of IoT based greenhouse technology in agriculture field for efficiently cultivating various crops irrespective of the geographical and environmental conditions. The IoT based greenhouse technology can provide control environment for high value crops like flowers, medicinal plants, etc. throughout the year to gain maximum profit. The greenhouse environmental parameters are continuously sensed using different parameters sensors and the collected data is displayed on a customized website.

Midline astrocytic neoplasms have distinct molecular characteristics, quite different from astrocytic neoplasms with similar morphology but not located in the midline. It is imperative that neuropathologists should be aware of the existence of these tumors, so they can be correctly diagnosed. Here, we discuss the case of a 14-year-old boy who presented with acute onset of vomiting followed by loss of consciousness. Subsequent magnetic resonance imaging revealed an ill-defined exophytic lesion arising from the brainstem and extending into the left cerebellopontine angle, with areas of hemorrhage and patchy restricted diffusion. The tumor was resected. Microscopy revealed medium-sized tumor cells in diffuse sheets, having round nuclei, granular chromatin, and scant cytoplasm. Microvascular and endothelial cell proliferation in small necrotic areas were seen. Mitosis was 0–1 per high-power field. By routine histopathological analysis, all features were consistent with the diagnosis of glioblastoma. Tumor cells were immunopositive for glial fibrillary acidic protein and isocitrate dehydrogenase-1 mutation (R132H), immunonegative for p53, and retained alpha thalassemia/mental retardation syndrome X-linked. It also showed a strong immunopositivity for H3-K27M mutation. A diagnosis of a diffuse midline glioma with H3-K27M mutation corresponding to the World Health Organization Grade IV was made. This case highlights the importance of exploring signature mutations in well-defined tumor categories such as H3-K27M-mutant diffuse midline glioma.

Low-cost, paper-based platforms are gaining increasing relevance in modern diagnostics and biosensing. Most diagnostic systems using blood samples require blood-plasma separation to reduce complexity and achieve better results. Blood plasma separation is often carried-out by using various membrane based filters. This paper presents a new method for capturing red blood cells on Whatman filter paper with no. 1, 2, 5 and glass fiber discs. All four paper types were subjected to modification with hydrothermally grown zinc oxide nanorods. Growth and morphologies of zinc oxide nanorods were confirmed by SEM, XRD and XPS studies. The blood plasma separation experiments were done by cutting the papers into identical strips with dimension of 5 × 20 mm2. 3 μL of blood was mixed with equal volume of antibody solution and pipetted on each strip. The colored antibody solution was used to track the path of antibody, eventually the separated plasma. The dried strips were scanned and the difference in the distance travelled by colored solution of antibodies was measured. From the results, it is clear that all four paper strips covered with nanorods have shown more distance travelled and better separation than their control samples.

Emotion recognition gains huge popularity now a days. Physiological signals provides an appropriate way to detect human emotion with the help of IoT. In this paper, a novel system is proposed which is capable of determining the emotional status using physiological parameters, including design specification and software implementation of the system. This system may have a vivid use in medicine (especially for emotionally challenged people), smart home etc. Various Physiological parameters to be measured includes, heart rate (HR), galvanic skin response (GSR), skin temperature etc. To construct the proposed system the measured physiological parameters were feed to the neural networks which further classify the data in various emotional states, mainly in anger, happy, sad, joy. This work recognized the correlation between human emotions and change in physiological parameters with respect to their emotion.

Background Periparturient period induces stress in cows which fluctuates hormonal and metabolic function and causes immune suppression. Apart from impairing the health, production, and reproduction of cows, it also influences the well-being of newborn calves by decreasing the colostrum quality. Micronutrients are known for optimal health and production and their effects on parturition stress, immune response in both cow and its calf need to be explored. Aim The aim of this study was to see the effect of oral supplementation of micronutrients during the prepartum period on the health status of crossbred dairy cows and subsequently on their newborn calves. Methods A total of 42 healthy multiparous cows were selected and randomly divided into five groups with seven cows in each group, i.e. control (Basal Diet, BD), VA group (BD + vitamin A, 105 IU), Zn group (BD + zinc sulphate, 60 ppm), VE group (BD + vitamin E, 2500 IU), and combined supplementation (CS) group (BD + combination of VA, Zn, and VE). The supplements were offered in compounded concentrate DM (100 g) to individual cows once daily before the morning feeding and the remaining portion was incorporated in the TMR. Feeding was started one month before the expected days of calving till calving. Blood samples were collected from cows at days -15, -7, -3, 0, +3, +7, and +15 relative to the day of calving. Blood samples from newborn calves and milk samples of cows were collected at days 0, +3, +7, and +15. Milk somatic cell counts (SCC) were estimated using a cell counter. Cortisol was estimated by ELISA kit in blood and milk plasma of cows and in the blood plasma of their calves. Total immunoglobulins (Ig) were estimated in milk of cows and serum of calves using zinc sulphate turbidity method. Blood neutrophils from cows and calves were studied for phagocytic activity (PA) using nitro blue tetrazolium (NBT) assay.Data were analysed by repeated-measures two-way ANOVA using the mixed procedure of SAS, and the pairwise comparison was performed using a multiple comparison test (Tukey). Distinguishing a specific biomarker from a biofluid sample containing a large variety of proteins often requires the selective preconcentration of that particular biomarker to a detectable level for analysis. Low-cost, paper-based device is an emerging opportunity in diagnostics. In the present study, we report a novel Zinc oxide nanorods functionalized paper platform for the preconcentration of Myoglobin, a cardiac biomarker. Zinc oxide nanorods were grown on a Whatman filter paper no. 1 via the standard hydrothermal route. The growth of Zinc oxide nanorods on paper was confirmed by a combination of techniques consisting of X-ray diffraction (XRD), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS,) scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and energy dispersive spectroscopy (EDX) analysis. The Zinc oxide nanorods modified Whatman filter paper (ZnO-NRs/WFP) was further tested for use as a protein preconcentrator. A class of pseudo-differential operators (p.d.o.'s) associated with the general Fourier kernel studied by Hardy and Titchmarsh is defined. A symbol class T m is introduced. It is shown that the p.d.o.'s associated with the symbol are continuous linear mappings of the Braaksma and Schuitman space T(λ,μ) into itself. An integral representation of p.d.o. is obtained. Some special forms of the symbol are considered. It is shown that these p.d.o.'s and their products are bounded in certain Sobolev type space.

Feature selection is a process of selecting desired number of features from a large set of original features that purely contribute to the prediction of a test data with the help of a classifier. Many application areas such as, gene expression array analysis, test processing of internet document and combinatorial chemistry make use of feature selection, due to the presence of tens or hundreds of thousands of features in the dataset, the analysis of such a large number of feature set is impossible. Selecting relevant features increases the performance of predictor. Also, it makes the predictor accurate and cost effective. It also provides the better understanding of the process that classifies the data. In this paper, a new approach of feature selection has been proposed in order to improve the classification accuracy. The proposed algorithm has been tested on publicly available Heart Disease and Sonar data sets.

The pituitary gland is embryologically divided into two main lobes: adenohypophysis (anterior) and neurohypophysis (posterior). Last five decades have witnessed changes in the tumor classifications – anterior pituitary in 2017 and posterior in 2016, based on hormonal immunohistochemistry, molecular profiles, and pituitary specific transcription factors. Few newer entities/terms have been added and at the same time certain terms have been modified/discarded. In this article, relevant anatomy, development, histology, incidence, and clinical manifestations of pituitary tumors evolution of various classification systems and recommended current classification of pituitary tumors; the genetic alterations and the diagnostic implications for today's pathologist have been reviewed in a comprehensive manner.
