In this work, we derive a generalized modified Friedmann equation based on an entropy-area relation that incorporates established modifications, such as volumetric, linear, and logarithmic terms, in addition to novel entropic modifications that might yield to relevant cosmological implications at different stages of the evolution of the Universe. Some of these modifications are capable of mimicking the effects of dark energy and describing the current state of accelerated expansion of the Universe. We study particular cases of the generalized Friedmann equation and constrain the free parameters using observational datasets, including Hubble parameter measurements, baryon acoustic oscillations, and strong lensing systems. Our findings indicate that the proposed models align well with current observational data, particularly in low-redshift regimes; furthermore, these models are compatible with the value of $H_0$ obtained by the SH0ES program., Comment: 7 pages, 5 figures

In this work we study the effects of the generalized uncertainty principle (GUP) in cosmology. We start with the Friedmann-Robertson-Walker (FRW) model endowed with a scalar field. In this paper we study the viability of an entropic cosmological model. The effects of entropic gravity are derived from a modified entropy-area relationship with a volumetric entropy term. This model describes a late time limit cosmic acceleration, whose origin is related to a volumetric term in the entropy. Moreover, we analyze the phenomenological implications of the entropic model using the Supernovae Pantheon compilation and the observational Hubble parameter data to find consistency with cosmological observations. In this paper we propose a generalization to the Schwarzschild metric and define noncommutative SUSY black holes. We introduce the noncommutative deformation to the minisuperspace variables and derive the noncommutative supersymmetric (SUSY) Wheeler-DeWitt (WDW) equation for the Schwarzschild black hole. In this paper we present a Yang-Mills type gauge theory of vector-tensor gravity, where the tetrad, the spin connection and vector field are identified with components of the gauge field. This setup leads to a theory that is contained in Generalized Proca theories. We solve for static and spherically symmetric space-time and show that there are two branches of solutions, one where the metric is asymptotically Schwarzschild even though there is a cosmological constant in the action, and another one where the metric is asymptotically (anti-)de Sitter. Also, we study the effect of the vector field on homogeneous and isotropic spacetimes, finding that it contributes to the accelerated expansion of the metric.

Non-additive entropies have been proposed as alternatives to understanding the thermodynamics of Black Holes. Moreover, it has been suggested that the difficulties of quantization of gravity are an indication that gravity is an emergent phenomenon, and therefore an entropic formulation is warranted. It is known that using Boltzmann-Gibbs statistics, Bekenstein-Hawking entropy $S_{HB}$, and the quasinormal modes of black holes, one finds that the lowest value of spin is $j_{min}=1$. In this paper, we determine $j_{min}$, using non-extensive entropies that depend only on the probability (known as Obregon's entropies and have been derived from superstatistics). We also calculate $j_{min}$ for a set of non-extensive entropies that have free parameters and are written in terms of $S_{BH}$. We find that $j_{min}$ depends on the area and the non-extensive parameter. For the non-extensive entropies that only depend on the probability, we find that the modification is only present for micro black holes. By determining the relation between topological M-theory and the Chern-Simons actions for a gauge field constructed from the Lie algebra of either SL(2,R)x SL(2,R) or SL(2,C)x SL(2,C), depending on the sign of the space-time curvature, we show that the standard and exotic actions of 3-dimensional gravity can be recovered from topological M-theory. With this result, we provide a concrete realisation of a conjecture by Dijkgraaf et al. stating that the partition function of topological M-theory is equivalent to the partition function of a black hole in a related theory. In this work we study the symmetry breaking conditions, given by a (anti)de Sitter-valued vector field, of a full (anti)de Sitter-invariant MacDowell-Mansouri inspired action. We show that under these conditions the action breaks down to General Relativity with a cosmological constant, the four dimensional topological invariants, as well as the Holst term. In this paper we study the effects of noncommutative phase space deformations on the Schwarzschild black hole. This idea has been previously studied in {Friedmann-Robertson-Walker (FRW)} cosmology, where this "noncommutativity" provides a simple mechanism that can explain the origin of the cosmological constant. In this paper we obtain the same relationship between the cosmological constant and the deformation parameter that appears in deformed phase space cosmology, but in the context of the deformed phase space black holes. Working in the first order formalism of gravity, we propose an action that combines the self and anti-self-dual parts of the curvature and comprises all the diffeomorphism invariant Lagrangians that one can consider in this formalism. The action that we propose is motivated by (A)dS gauge theories of gravity. We use this action to derive the (2+1)-dimensional version of the Immirzi parameter. Our derivation relates explicitly the Immirzi parameter to the existence of two classically equivalent actions for the description of gravity in (2+1) dimensions, namely the standard and exotic actions introduced by Witten in the description of (2+1) gravity as a gauge theory. In this paper we study the effects of including anisotropic scaling invariance in the minisuperspace Lagrangian for a universe modelled by the Friedman-Robertson-Walker metric, a massless scalar field and cosmological constant. We find that canonical quantization of this system leads to a Schroedinger type equation, thus avoiding the frozen time problem of the usual Wheeler-DeWitt equation. By implementing a genetic algorithm we search for stable vacua in Type IIB non-geometric flux compactification on an isotropic torus with orientifold 3-planes. We find that the number of stable dS and AdS vacua are of the same order. Moreover we find that in all dS vacua the multi-field slow-roll inflationary conditions are fulfilled. Specifically we observe that inflation is driven by the axio-dilaton and the K\"ahler moduli. In this paper we apply the ideas put forward by Ho\v{r}ava, and introduce anisotropic transformations to cosmology. We start with the Kantowski-Sachs cosmological model and impose anisotropic transformation invariance on the minisuperspace variables. We study the symmetries of the anisotropic model and by canonical quantization find a Schr\"odinger type equation for $z\ne 1$. We study the generalization of the S\'aez-Ballester theory applied to a flat FRW cosmological model. Classical exact solutions up to quadratures are easily obtained using the Hamilton-Jacobi approach. Contrary to claims in the specialized literature, it is shown that the S\'aez-Ballester theory cannot provide a realistic solution to the dark matter problem of Cosmology. We present the classical solutions to the Einstein field equations derived using the WKB-like and Hamilton procedures. The investigation is carried out in the commutative and noncommutative scenario for the Bianchi type I cosmological model coupled to barotropic perfect fluid and $\lambda $ Cosmological for two different gauges. Noncommutativity is achieved by modifying the symplectic structure considering that all minisuperspace variables $\rm q^i$ does not commute and by a deformation between all the minisuperspace variables. In the gauge N=1, it is possible to obtain that the anisotropic parameter $\rm \beta_{\pm nc}$ tend to a constant curvature for large period of time considering different values in the noncommutative parameters $\theta$ and cosmological term. In this paper we study noncommutative black holes. We use a diffeomorphism between the Schwarzschild black hole and the Kantowski-Sachs cosmological model, which is generalized to noncommutative minisuperspace.
