- Abstract
Background: Obstructive nephropathy is a condition often caused by urinary tract obstruction either anatomical (e.g., tumors), mechanical (e.g., urolithiasis), or compression (e.g., pregnancy) and can progress to chronic kidney disease (CKD). Studies have shown sexual dimorphism in CKD, where males were found to have a more rapid decline in kidney function following kidney injury compared to age-matched females. Protocatechuic acid (PCA), an anti-oxidant and anti-inflammatory polyphenolic compound, has demonstrated promising effects in mitigating drug-induced kidney injuries. The current study aims to explore sexual dimorphism in kidney injury after unilateral ureteral obstruction (UUO) and assess whether PCA treatment can mitigate kidney injury in both sexes., Methods: UUO was induced in 10-12 weeks old male and female C57BL/6J mice. Mice were categorized into four groups (n = 6-8/group); Sham, Sham plus PCA (100 mg/kg, I.P daily), UUO, and UUO plus PCA., Results: After 2 weeks of induction of UUO, markers of kidney oxidative stress (TBARs), inflammation (IL-1α and IL-6), tubular injury (neutrophil gelatinase-associated lipocalin, NGAL and urinary kidney injury molecule-1, KIM-1), fibrosis (Masson's trichrome staining, collagen IV expression, MMP-2 and MMP-9) and apoptosis (TUNEL
+ cells, active caspase-1 and caspase-3) were significantly elevated in both males and females relative to their sham counterparts. Males exhibited significantly greater kidney oxidative stress, inflammation, fibrosis, and apoptosis after induction of UUO when compared to females. PCA treatment significantly attenuated UUO-induced kidney injury, inflammation, fibrosis, and apoptosis in both sexes., Conclusion: Our findings suggest a differential gender response to UUO-induced kidney injury with males being more sensitive to UUO-induced kidney inflammation, fibrosis, and apoptosis than age-matched females. Importantly, PCA treatment reduced UUO-induced kidney injury in a sex-independent manner which might be attributed to its anti-oxidant, anti-inflammatory, anti-fibrotic, and anti-apoptotic properties., (© 2024. 3. Qualitative behavior of a highly non-linear Cutaneous Leishmania epidemic model under convex incidence rate with real data.

- Abstract
In the context of this investigation, we introduce an innovative mathematical model designed to elucidate the intricate dynamics underlying the transmission of Anthroponotic Cutaneous Leishmania. This model offers a comprehensive exploration of the qualitative characteristics associated with the transmission process. Employing the next-generation method, we deduce the threshold value $ R_0 $ for this model. We rigorously explore both local and global stability conditions in the disease-free scenario, contingent upon $ R_0 $ being less than unity. Furthermore, we elucidate the global stability at the disease-free equilibrium point by leveraging the Castillo-Chavez method. In contrast, at the endemic equilibrium point, we establish conditions for local and global stability, when $ R_0 $ exceeds unity. To achieve global stability at the endemic equilibrium, we employ a geometric approach, a Lyapunov theory extension, incorporating a secondary additive compound matrix. Additionally, we conduct sensitivity analysis to assess the impact of various parameters on the threshold number. Employing center manifold theory, we delve into bifurcation analysis. Estimation of parameter values is carried out using least squares curve fitting techniques. Finally, we present a comprehensive discussion with graphical representation of key parameters in the concluding section of the paper.

4. Insulin-euglycemia therapy in acute aluminum phosphide poisoning: a randomized clinical trial.

- Abstract
Introduction : Aluminum phosphide is a pesticide that is used in developing countries. Aluminum phosphide poisoning has a high mortality rate and there is no known antidote. This study aimed to evaluate the safety and efficacy of insulin-euglycemia therapy in the management of patients with acute aluminum phosphide poisoning. Methods : This trial was prospectively registered in the Pan African Clinical Trials Registry (PACTR202008534546951). A total of 108 patients were randomly allocated to two groups. The intervention group received insulin-euglycemia therapy in addition to standard treatment (norepinephrine and supportive care); the control group received standard treatment plus placebo. The main outcome measures were survival, blood pressure, and laboratory investigations. Results : The two groups had similar baseline parameters. Insulin-euglycemia therapy was associated with a significant reduction in mortality compared with that in the control group (64.8 percent and 96.3 percent, respectively; P value <0.001). Patients randomized to insulin-euglycemia also required lower doses of vasopressors (median was 7 mg versus 26 mg in control group; P value 0.006) and fewer patients needed intubation (61.1 percent versus 81.5 percent in the control group; P value 0.019). Insulin-euglycemia therapy significantly improved blood pressure (systolic, diastolic, and mean arterial pressure) (median at 6h post-admission was 80 mmHg, 55 mmHg and 65 mmHg compared with 20 mmHg, 10 mmHg and 13 mmHg in the control group respectively; P value <0.001) and bicarbonate and lactate concentrations. Conclusion : Insulin-euglycemia therapy appears to be a safe and effective treatment option for patients with aluminum phosphide poisoning. Vasopressor only therapy was associated with very poor outcomes in acute aluminum phosphide poisoning.

- Abstract
We present a fixed-dose combination injectable (FDCI) solution for cattle formulated for a single subcutaneous administration at a dose rate of 1 ml/25 kg of body weight to deliver a dose of 0.2 mg/kg of doramectin and 6.0 mg/kg of levamisole hydrochloride (5.1 mg/kg base equivalent). This drug product is marketed in the United States under the tradename Valcor® and in Australia and New Zealand under the tradename Dectomax V®. Both levamisole and doramectin have histories of safe and effective use in ruminants, with safety margins of 3X and 25X, respectively. Three studies were conducted to demonstrate the safety of the new FDCI: margin of safety (Study 1), and reproductive safety in sexually nulliparous beef heifers (Studies 2 and 3). In Study 1, 3-month-old sexually intact male and female calves were given either saline (control) or 1X, 2X, or 3X FDCI on Days 0, 14, and 28. General health, clinical, and neurological observations were made throughout the study, and clinical and pathology evaluations were made at study end. Studies 2 and 3 demonstrated the reproductive safety of the FDCI on sexually nulliparous beef heifers using estrus synchronization and timed artificial insemination. Treatments of either saline (control) or 3X FDCI were administered to coincide with either folliculogenesis, implantation, organogenesis, early gestation, or late gestation. Reproductive safety was demonstrated by evaluating rates of conception, calving, abortion, and stillbirth, dystocia scores, and calf health. In all studies, the FDCI at 1X, 2X, or 3X dosages was well tolerated. In the margin of safety study, 3X calves showed increased incidence of salivation for up to 8 h post-dosing compared to other groups. Injection sites were palpable post-dosing in all three FDCI groups but resolved by Day 28 in all but one animal each in 2X and 3X. In the reproductive safety studies, the FDCI had no effect on conception, pregnancy, fetal development, or postnatal viability. Injection site swelling was increased in frequency and duration compared to controls. 6. Endogenous estradiol contributes to vascular endothelial dysfunction in premenopausal women with type 1 diabetes.

- Abstract
Background: Endogenous estrogen is cardio-protective in healthy premenopausal women. Despite this favorable action of estrogen, animal models depict a detrimental effect of estradiol on vascular function in the presence of diabetes. The present study sought to determine the role of endogenous estradiol on endothelial function in women with type 1 diabetes., Method: 32 women with type 1 diabetes (HbA
1c = 8.6 ± 1.7%) and 25 apparently healthy women (HbA1c = 5.2 ± 0.3%) participated. Flow-mediated dilation (FMD), a bioassay of nitric-oxide bioavailability and endothelial function was performed during menses (M) and the late follicular (LF) phase of the menstrual cycle to represent low and high concentrations of estrogen, respectively. In addition, a venous blood sample was collected at each visit to determine circulating concentrations of estradiol, thiobarbituric acid reactive substances (TBARS), and nitrate/nitrite (NOx), biomarkers of oxidative stress and nitric oxide, respectively. Data were collected in (1) 9 additional women with type 1 diabetes using oral hormonal birth control (HBC) (HbA1c = 8.3 ± 2.1%) during the placebo pill week and second active pill week, and (2) a subgroup of 9 demographically matched women with type 1 diabetes not using HBC (HbA1c = 8.9 ± 2.1%)., Results: Overall, estradiol was significantly increased during the LF phase compared to M in both type 1 diabetes (Δestradiol = 75 ± 86 pg/mL) and controls (Δestradiol = 71 ± 76 pg/mL); however, an increase in TBARS was only observed in patients with type 1 diabetes (ΔTBARS = 3 ± 13 µM) compared to controls (ΔTBARS = 0 ± 4 µM). FMD was similar (p = 0.406) between groups at M. In addition, FMD increased significantly from M to the LF phase in controls (p = 0.024), whereas a decrease was observed in type 1 diabetes. FMD was greater (p = 0.015) in patients using HBC compared to those not on HBC, independent of menstrual cycle phase., Conclusion: Endogenous estradiol increases oxidative stress and contributes to endothelial dysfunction in women with diabetes. 7. Acute nitric oxide synthase inhibition induces greater increases in blood pressure in female versus male Wistar Kyoto rats.

Nitric oxide (NO) contributes to blood pressure (BP) regulation via its vasodilatory and anti-inflammatory properties. We and others previously reported sex differences in BP in normotensive and hypertensive rat models where females have lower BP than age-matched males. As females are known to have greater NO bioavailability than age-matched males, the current study was designed to test the hypothesis that anesthetized female normotensive Wistar Kyoto rats (WKY) are more responsive to acute NOS inhibition-induced increases in BP compared to male WKY. Twelve-week-old male and female WKY were randomized to infusion of the nonspecific NOS inhibitor N
G -nitro-L-arginine methyl ester (L-NAME, 1 mg/kg/min) or selective NOS1 inhibition with vinyl-L-NIO (VNIO, 0.5 mg/kg/min) for 60 min. Mean arterial BP, glomerular filtration rate (GFR), urine volume, and electrolyte excretion were assessed before, and during L-NAME or VNIO infusion. L-NAME and VNIO significantly increased BP in both sexes; however, the increase in BP with L-NAME infusion was greater in females versus males compared to baseline BP values. Acute infusion of neither L-NAME nor VNIO for 60 min altered GFR in either sex. However, urine volume, sodium, chloride and potassium excretion levels increased comparably in male and female WKY with L-NAME and VNIO infusion. Our findings suggest sex differences in BP responses to acute non-isoform-specific NOS inhibition in WKY, with females being more responsive to L-NAME-induced elevations in BP relative to male WKY. 8. Investigation of the Clinical and Diagnostic Aspects of Peste des Petits Ruminants (PPR) in Sheep from the Southern Region of Iraq.

In the southern region of Iraq, Peste des petits ruminants (PPR) has been identified and diagnosed. The study was done on (300) local sheep breeds of varying ages and sexes exhibiting PPR symptoms, while (25), healthy sheep breeds served as the control group. Additionally, the diagnosis of PPRV was confirmed by PCR. Infected sheep exhibit a variety of clinical symptoms. However, DNA sequencing was used to detect genetic links and genetic variation, and the results revealed a closed genetic relationship with the NCBI BLAST PPRV India isolate (GU014574.1) at total genetic variation (0.02-0.01%). Results indicate a large rise in PCV and ESR in conjunction with leukocytopenia and lymphocytopenia, a significant difference in clotting factor indices, and a significant increase in ALT, AST, and CK. In addition, there was a substantial variation in acute phase response. Postmortem examinations revealed various erosive lesions on the upper and lower gums, severe hemorrhagic enteritis, particularly of the small intestine, and obvious congestion of the lungs. Histopathological changes revealed an obvious flattening of the intestinal mucosa as well as an enlargement of the villi. In addition to a granuloma in the sub-mucosa, chronic inflammatory cells, primarily lymphocytes, were seen invading the mucosa. It has been determined that the sickness was circulating in the southern region of Iraq and severely afflicted sheep, which might result in significant economic losses owing to the detrimental effects of the virus that causes the disease on the various bodily parts., Competing Interests: The authors declare that they have no conflict of interest.

9. Goiter in Cross Breed Goat Kids at Basrah Province, Iraq.

- Abstract
Cases of Goiter related to iodine deficiency in cross-breed goat kids in Basrah, Iraq are very scarce, and little information has been provided; therefore, the present study highlighted a clinical case of goat kids suffering from Goiter due to iodine deficiency with hematological and biochemical evaluation. The study examined 44 cross-breed goat kids, 1-3 months old (males and females), who showed painless palpable enlargement on one side of the cranio-ventral neck region or near the throat rejoin with weakness and alopecia. Ten clinically healthy kids of the same age were considered a control group. This study's diseased and control group was subjected to complete clinical examinations. Diseased animals show painless palpable and visible enlarged thyroid glands with or without enlargement of the neck, sparse hair coats with little alopecia, slow growth rate, irregular appetite or unwillingness to suck, weakness, and emaciation. Furthermore, the presence of thyroid thrill during palpation of jugular furrow was also detected. Moreover, diseased goat kids show no significant difference in body temperature; however, a significant increase was encountered in respiratory rate with a significant decrease in heart rate. On the other hand, no significant changes have been detected in the hematological analysis between diseased goat kids and the control group concerning the chemical analysis between the diseased cross-breed goat kids and the control group; the results of the present study indicated a significant increase in TSH, whereas, T3, T4, FT4, glucose level, Vit. E (α-tocopherol) and serum glutathione peroxides were lowered in diseased cross-breed goat kids compared with the control group. In contrast, a significant hyper- cholesterolemia was indicated in diseased animals than in the control group. It was concluded that Goiter in kids could reflect harm effects terminated mostly with death. 10. Expression of IL1β Gene in the Placentas from Humans and Cows during Brucella Infection.

Brucellosis is an important contagious disease affecting most domestic and mature animals. Since the impact of IL-1β in B. abortus invasion and survival remains elusive, the current study sought to elucidate the actual roles of these potent cytokines in the modulation of the initial immune response to Brucella infection. Therefore, this study aimed to detect Brucella abortus in the placenta of aborted women and cows and estimate the expression of the interleukin 1β ( IL1β ) gene associated with immune response mechanisms to Brucella abortus infection. The detection of Brucella abortus was performed by Rose Bengal Test (RBT) and Polymerase Chain Reaction based AlkB gene (AlkB-PCR) in the sera and placenta samples of aborted women and cows, respectively. The overall percentage of Brucella abortus infection was 13.1% and 5% as determined by RBT and AlkB -PCR in aborted women's sera and placentas, respectively. On the other hand, the overall percentage rates of Brucella abortus infection in the sera and placentas from aborted cows were 30% and 11% as estimated by RBT and AlkB -PCR, respectively. The results of RBT demonstrated that the association between Brucella abortus and abortion in cows was statistically significant. On the other hand, it was found that the association between Brucella abortus and abortion in women was not significant. Moreover, according to the results of AlkB -based PCR, the association between Brucella abortus and abortion was statistically significant in aborted cows, while it was not significant in aborted women. The sensitivity, specificity, and accuracy of RBT were calculated as 60.00, 53.85, and 54.55%, respectively. Moreover, positive and negative predictive values were reported as 14.33% and 91.28%, respectively. Regarding RBT for aborted cows, the sensitivity, specificity, and accuracy of the test were 81.82%, 57.78%, and 62.49%, respectively. The positive predictive value was reported as 32.08%, while the negative predictive value was reported as 92.88%. Quantitative PCR (qPCR) was carried out for the evaluation of Interleukin 1 Beta ( IL1β ) gene expression. The qPCR result was presented as a fold change in gene expression. A significant increment of IL1β gene expression was observed in aborted women (114.905±99.661) and cows (22.454 ±18.528), compared to non-aborted women (4.953±5.564) and cows (2.033±1.845). Statistical comparison of IL1β gene expression between aborted women and cows illustrated a non-significant increment in IL1β gene expression in aborted women (114.905±99.661), compared to aborted cows (22.454 ±18.528)., Competing Interests: The authors declare that they have no conflict of interest.

Analyzing the dynamics of tumor-immune systems can play an important role in the fight against cancer, since it can foster the development of more effective medical treatments. This paper was aimed at making a contribution to the study of tumor-immune dynamics by presenting a new model of cancer growth based on fractional-order differential equations. By investigating the system dynamics, the manuscript highlights the chaotic behaviors of the proposed cancer model for both the commensurate and the incommensurate cases. Bifurcation diagrams, the Lyapunov exponents, and phase plots confirm the effectiveness of the conceived approach. The widespread and the recognition of the multifactorial nature of Alzheimer disease (AD) increased the demands for multi-targeted directed ligands (MTDLs) to overcome possible drug-drug interactions of the combination therapy, and to acquire superior therapeutic profile than single targeted molecules. Two main scaffolds namely: pyrazolopyridine and tetrahydroacridine (THA) were used to synthesize four different series of integrated multi-targeted synthons possessing ChE (hAChE or hBuChE), Aβ
1-42 aggregation inhibition potency, in addition to optimum metal chelating capability. Structure modifications were performed to 9-amino function of THA core of tacrine and the pyrazolopyridine scaffolds linked to a variety of cyclic secondary amines directly or using amide spacers or ethylamine bridge or engaging THA with pyrazolopyridine to produce hybrid compounds. Different 9-amino substitutions improved the in vitro hAChE activity of 7- or 6,7-disubstituted THA derivatives. Compounds 16 and 28 proved to be multimodal anti-AD agents as they were potent hAChE inhibitors, in addition, they could bind with the amino acids of the peripheral anionic site (PAS) affecting Aβ aggregation and hence Aβ-dependent neurotoxicity especially compound 16 which was almost twofold more active than donepezil. - Abstract
The virus which belongs to the family of the coronavirus was seen first in Wuhan city of China. As it spreads so quickly and fastly, now all over countries in the world are suffering from this. The world health organization has considered and declared it a pandemic. In this presented research, we have picked up the existing mathematical model of corona virus which has six ordinary differential equations involving fractional derivative with non-singular kernel and Mittag-Leffler law. Another new thing is that we study this model in a fuzzy environment. We will discuss why we need a fuzzy environment for this model. First of all, we find out the approximate value of ABC fractional derivative of simple polynomial function ( t - a ) n . By using this approximation we will derive and developed the Legendre operational matrix of fractional differentiation for the Mittag-Leffler kernel fractional derivative on a larger interval [ 0 , b ] , b ⩾ 1 , b ∈ N . For the numerical investigation of the fuzzy mathematical model, we use the collocation method with the addition of this newly developed operational matrix. For the feasibility and validity of our method we pick up a particular case of our model and plot the graph between the exact and numerical solutions. We see that our results have good accuracy and our method is valid for the fuzzy system of fractional ODEs. We depict the dynamics of infected, susceptible, exposed, and asymptotically infected people for the different integer and fractional orders in a fuzzy environment. - Abstract
This article investigates a family of approximate solutions for the fractional model (in the Liouville-Caputo sense) of the Ebola virus via an accurate numerical procedure (Chebyshev spectral collocation method). We reduce the proposed epidemiological model to a system of algebraic equations with the help of the properties of the Chebyshev polynomials of the third kind. Some theorems about the convergence analysis and the existence-uniqueness solution are stated. Finally, some numerical simulations are presented for different values of the fractional-order and the other parameters involved in the coefficients. - Abstract
In this paper, we present a presumably new approach in order to solve the time-fractional Drinfeld-Sokolov-Wilson system, which is based upon the Liouville-Caputo fractional integral (LCFI), the Caputo-Fabrizio fractional integral, and the Atangana-Baleanu fractional integral in the sense of the LCFI by using the Adomian decomposition method. We compare the approximate solutions with the exact solution (if available), and we find an excellent agreement between them. In the case of a non-integer order, we evaluate the residual error function, thereby showing that the order of the error is very small. In all of our calculations, we apply the software package, Mathematica (Version 9).

Fractional derivative operators of non-integer order can be utilized as a powerful tool to model nonlinear fractional differential equations. In this paper, we propose numerical solutions for simulating fractional-order derivative operators with the power-law and exponential-law kernels. We construct the numerical schemes with the help the fundamental theorem of fractional calculus and the Lagrange polynomial interpolation. These schemes are applied to simulate the dynamical fractional-order model of the immune response (FMIR) to the uncomplicated influenza A virus (IAV) infection, which focuses on the control of the infection by the innate and adaptive immunity. Numerical results are then presented to show the applicability and efficiency on the FMIR.

- Abstract
Evaluation of the population density in many ecological and biological problems requires a satisfactory degree of accuracy. Insufficient information about the population density, obtained from sampling procedures negatively, impacts on the accuracy of the estimate. When dealing with sparse ecological data, the asymptotic error estimate fails to achieve a reliable degree of accuracy. It is essential to investigate which factors affect the degree of accuracy of numerical integration methods. When the number of traps is less than the recommended threshold, the degree of accuracy will be negatively affected. Therefore, available numerical integration methods cannot guarantee a satisfactory degree of accuracy, and in this sense the error will be probabilistic rather than deterministic. In other words, the probabilistic approach is used instead of the deterministic approach in this instance; by considering the error as a random variable, the chance of obtaining an accurate estimation can be quantified. In the probabilistic approach, we determine a threshold number of grid nodes required to guarantee a desirable level of accuracy with the probability equal to one.

- Abstract
Cisplatin is an effective anticancer used widely in treatment of solid and germ cell tumors, however, the immense toxicity on healthy tissues discourages cisplatin use in prolonged treatment protocols. Testicular toxicity is amongst its undesired adverse effects. Nilotinib is a second generation multityrosine kinase inhibitor which is used as an anticancer agent with anti-inflammatory and antioxidant activities. In the present study, a single dose of cisplatin (7 mg/kg, I.P) to rats induced a significant testicular injury. Daily administration of nilotinib (20 mg/kg, orally) 24 h post cisplatin injection for 10 days ameliorated testicular damage. Nilotinib significantly increased serum testosterone and sperm concentration outside frame of oligospermia with simultaneous full recovery of sperm viability. Nevertheless, biomarkers of apoptosis such as JNKs and Caspase -3, were significantly reduced. Moreover, improved antioxidant status of the testes was inferred by significant elevation of GSR, SOD and TAC alongside with reduction in lipid peroxidation biomarkers; MDA and 4-HNE. Flow Cytometry analysis of the cell cycle confirmed a significant increase in the percentage of testicular cells present in G2/M phase and a significant decrease in the percentage of apoptotic testicular cells after nilotinib administration. Histopathologically, nilotinib preserved testicular architecture showing significant numbers of sperm and spermatids within lumens of seminiferous tubule. Furthermore, nilotinib enhanced testicular expression of Ki67 significantly, providing evidence of testicular regeneration. In conclusion, nilotinib refinement of cisplatin induced testicular toxicity is attributed to enhancing antioxidant capabilities, decreasing apoptotic signals and restoring regenerative capacity of testes suggesting nilotinib to be used in conjunction with cisplatin in treatment protocols to avoid cisplatin induced long term testicular toxicity., Competing Interests: Declaration of Competing Interest Authors declare no conflict of interest, (Copyright © 2020 Elsevier B.V. - Abstract
Acetaminophen (APAP)-induced hepatotoxicity comes among the most frequent humans' toxicities caused by drugs. So far, therapeutic interventions for such type of drug-induced toxicity are still limited. In the current study, we examined the influence of capmatinib (Cap), a novel c-Met inhibitor, on APAP-induced hepatotoxicity in mice when administered 2 h prior, 2 h post and 4 h post APAP-challenge. The results revealed that Cap administration significantly attenuated APAP-induced liver injury when administered only 2 h prior and post APAP-administration. Cap hepatoprotective effect was mediated by lowering the excessive formation of lipid peroxidation and nitrosative stress products caused by APAP. Besides, Cap attenuated APAP-induced overproduction and release of proinflammatory mediators like TNF-α, IL-1β, IL-17A, IL-6, and MCP-1. Cap treatment also led to avoidance of APAP-subsequent repair by abating APAP-induced elevation of hepatic IL-22 and PCNA expressions. 20. Numerical solutions of the fractional Fisher's type equations with Atangana-Baleanu fractional derivative by using spectral collocation methods.

- Abstract
The main objective of this paper is to investigate an accurate numerical method for solving a biological fractional model via Atangana-Baleanu fractional derivative. We focused our attention on linear and nonlinear Fisher's equations. We use the spectral collocation method based on the Chebyshev approximations. This method reduced the nonlinear equations to a system of ordinary differential equations by using the properties of Chebyshev polynomials and then solved them by using the finite difference method. This is the first time that this method is used to solve nonlinear equations in Atangana-Baleanu sense. We present the effectiveness and accuracy of the proposed method by computing the absolute error and the residual error functions. The results show that the given procedure is an easy and efficient tool to investigate the solution of nonlinear equations with local and non-local singular kernels.

- Abstract
In this paper, we extend the model of the Burgers (B) to the new model of time fractional Burgers (TFB) based on Liouville-Caputo (LC), Caputo-Fabrizio (CF), and Mittag-Leffler (ML) fractional time derivatives, respectively. We utilize the Homotopy Analysis Transform Method (HATM) to compute the approximate solutions of TFB using LC, CF, and ML in the Liouville-Caputo sense. We study the convergence analysis of HATM by computing the interval of the convergence, the residual error function (REF), and the average residual error (ARE), respectively. The results are very effective and accurate.

- Abstract
Background: Thermal management of the very low birth weight (VLBW) infant (<1500 g) is a cornerstone of neonatology because thermal stress is an important determinant of survival. The present study aimed to evaluate the safety, efficacy, and feasibility of applying polyethylene occlusive skin wrapping to prevent hypothermia during resuscitation at birth in VLBW neonates., Participants and Methods: Using a quasi experimental nonrandomized study design, 50 preterm VLBW infants were wrapped immediately after birth by low-density polyethylene transparent plastic wraps and another 50 infants were subjected to ordinary resuscitation guidelines, and both were admitted to the newborn intensive care unit (NICU). Axillary temperatures were measured for both groups in the observational room, on NICU admission, and after 1 and 2 h., Results: On admission to the NICU and after 1 and 2 h, the wrap group had significantly higher axillary temperatures than the other group (mean±SD were 36.3±0.51°C, 36.9±0.36°C, 37.07±0.18°C and the P values were 0.0001, 0.0001, and 0.001, respectively). There was a significant increase in the duration of oxygen therapy, requirements for assisted mechanical ventilation, incidence of early hypoglycemia, and higher mortality rate among the infants in the nonwrap group., Conclusion: Polyethylene transparent plastic wraps effectively help to prevent hypothermia in VLBW infants admitted to the NICU. It is recommended to include this safe, inexpensive tool for the management of VLBW and extremely low birth weight infants especially in the developing countries.

- Abstract
The role of norepinephrine depletion in the lateralized production of spontaneous hyperactivity was assessed by unilateral fronto-cortical injections of either 10 or 20 micrograms of the noradrenergic neurotoxin, DSP-4 (N-2-chlorethyl-N-ethyl-bromobenzylamine hydrochloride). Ten micrograms of DSP-4 produced significant hyperkinesis only when injected into the right hemisphere. A 20 micrograms dose produced hyperactivity when injected into either hemisphere. DSP-4 injections resulted in significant NE and ipsilateral and contralateral 5HT depletions in the frontal cortex. The 20 micrograms right hemispheric injection significantly increased both DOPAC and DA levels in the contralateral caudate in a manner unrelated to behavior. These findings, in conjunction with results from previous neurotoxin studies, support a hypothesis of greater relative sensitivity to injury of right hemispheric NE terminal fields compared with injury to left hemispheric fields as demonstrated by spontaneous hyperactivity.
