The purpose of this paper is to demonstrate parts of the implementation of a secure cloud storage solution for small and mediumsized enterprises (SMEs). It shows by example of an Austrian SME how secure cloud-based storage services can be applied in practice. In order to give an introduction to the topic, the paper first discusses some basic principles of cloud storage. The core of this paper eventually focuses on a cloud storage solution considered to be optimal for SME purposes and exemplifies how it could be implemented within such a company considering its particular requirements. As the primary focus of this work is on security aspects, it discusses how the system's attack surface is minimized and necessary software components are hardened in order to defy network-based attacks. An implementation case study is presented in this paper, which demonstrates the segmentation of the production process in order to achieve highly flexible variant management, increased processing throughput and reduced inventory size. At the beginning, fundamentals of each of the relevant concepts and systems are briefly introduced. Then, after some facets of product classification the important aspects of variant management and mastering complexity have been discussed. These aspects hand in hand with product configuration have a direct influence on costs or the cost structure respectively and may represent the crucial competitive advantage or disadvantage. The following case study and its implementation of a multi-stage manufacturing process are illustrated in detail. Article focuses on the issue of storage optimization and efficiency improvement through the control and overview of material flow in the chosen company. In the first chapter is processed introduction overview of case study. Second chapter is focused on defining the problem of current storage management. The third chapter exactly defined goals and application of solved issue which should by achieved using the proposed innovations in chapter five. Production planning is an elementary aspect of supply chain management and requires appropriate and effective tools. The purpose of this paper is to present the concept, design, and implementation of a software prototype for production planning that incorporates aspects of the Constant Work-In-Process (ConWIP) manufacturing system. In introductory sections, essential knowledge about fundamental strategies of production planning and the concept of ConWIP are subsumed. After a brief illustration of the manufacturing process in the company for which this work has been conducted, various aspects of the actual software implementation are presented. In order to achieve the goals that are defined by the logistical positioning of manufacturing companies, the optimal design of the production planning and control (PPC) is required. Many approaches exist, each showing different properties in different environments. Decisions regarding PPC design can be classified as strategic, while parameterization issues are of tactical nature. The knowledge of different PPC systems and their parameterization is essential for reaching the entrepreneurial objectives. In this paper, an overview of some very common and significant production strategies and systems is presented. The focus here, however, is on systems, which are not requiring extensive computational power solutions, as these systems often just provide the computational result of complex calculations, but retracing of the results is almost impossible for the user. In particular the "constant work-in-process" (CONWIP) system is argued. The paper outlines various aspects of CONWIP as compared to other established production concepts, especially in regard to small and medium-sized manufacturing companies. To give an illustration about the practical suitability, a conceptual prototype of a CONWIP based planning software is presented, which is running test operations in a real production environment. Windows Communication Foundation (WCF) is a software development kit that is used to enable software communication. Furthermore, it can be utilised to implement a service-oriented architecture (SOA). With WCF services can be created that encapsulate business functionality, which is then offered to either the company's internal or external consumers. in order to make use of these services they have to be hosted in an appropriate hosting environment. Various methods exist but each is characterised by different attributes.
