The Henri Poincaré correspondence is a corpus of letters sent and received by this mathematician. The edition of this correspondence is a long-term project begun during the 1990s. Since 1999, a website is devoted to publish online this correspondence with digitized letters. In 2017, it has been decided to reforge this website using Omeka S. This content management system offers useful services but some user needs have led to the development of an RDFS infrastructure associated to it. Approximate and explained searches are managed thanks to SPARQL query transformations. A prototype for efficient RDF annotation of this corpus (and similar corpora) has been designed and implemented. This article deals with these three research issues and how they are addressed. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

International audience; Semantic Web technologies provide a way to represent and to exploit data and can be particularly suitable for historical corpora. The Henri Poincaré correspondence corpus is composed of more than 2000 letters which constitute scientific, administrative and private exchanges. Several technologies have been used for this corpus: the rdf model, the rdfs knowledge representation language and the sparql query language. Recently, a navigation tool has been created to explore this correspondence corpus by exploiting similarities between resources. This tool can simplify corpus exploration and highlight unexpected relations between elements. It relies on the use of a flexible search mechanism based on the definition and the application of sparql query transformation rules. The system can be connected to any rdf database as long as underlying data is exposed through a public sparql endpoint.

International audience; The Henri Poincaré correspondence corpus is composed of around 2200 letters which constitute a rich source of information for historians of science. The following Semantic Web technologies have been chosen to represent and to exploit corpus data: the rdf model, the rdfs knowledge representation language and the sparql query language. Recently, the need of an exploration tool for this historical corpus has emerged. As a result, a navigation tool has been created to explore the correspondence by exploiting the similarities between the documents of the corpus. This system relies on the use of a sparql query transformation rule mechanism which can help to highlight unexpected relations between resources. This article presents the context of this work and illustrates the developed system through a concrete use case for the Henri Poincaré correspondence corpus. The system architecture and some reusability elements are presented, as the tool can be connected to other corpora, as long as underlying data is exposed through a public sparql endpoint.

Semantic Web technologies provide a way to structure, to exploit and to enhance historical corpora data such as the Henri Poincaré correspondence corpus. However, RDF data editing is often manual and may seem tedious for the concerned user. This article introduces a suggestion system which uses case-based reasoning to assist manual RDF data editing. This system is available in four versions which are compared to each other through a double evaluation., Les technologies du Web sémantique fournissent des outils pour structurer, exploiter et enrichir des corpus historiques tels que le corpus de la correspondance d’Henri Poincaré.

International audience; RDF (Resource Description Framework ) is the Semantic Web core model which is used to represent data thanks to the definition of triples. RDF data editing is often a manual task which may seem tedious for the concerned users, and which includes an important risk of errors. A Web editing tool along with a suggestion system have been createdto assist the editing of the Henri Poincaré correspondence corpus. The tool uses RDFS (RDF Schema) entailment and case-based reasoning to provide relevant suggestions when editing a resource. Four versions are proposed and are compared to each other through a double evaluation. While this system has been created for and evaluated with the HenriPoincaré correspondence corpus, the proposed methods could be applied to other corpora.

International audience; The Henri Poincaré correspondence is a corpus composed of around 2100 letters which is a rich source of information for historians of science. Semantic Web technologies provide a way to structure and publish data related to this kind of corpus. However, Semantic Web data editing is a process which often requires human intervention and may seem tedious for the user. This article introduces RDFWebEditor4Humanities, an editor which aims at facilitating annotation of documents. This tool uses case-based reasoning (cbr) to provide suggestions for the user which are related to the current document annotation process. These suggestions are found and ranked by considering the annotation context related to the resource currently being edited and by looking for similar resources already annotated in the database. Several methods and combinations of methods are presented here, as well as the evaluation associated with each of them.

The enormous amount of information stored on the web increases from one day to the next, exposing the web currently faced with the inevitable difficulties of research pertinent information that users really want. The problem today is not limited to expanding the size of the information highways, but to design a system for intelligent search. The vast majority of this information is stored in relational databases, which in turn represent a backend for managing RDF data of the semantic web. This problem has motivated us to write this paper in order to establish an effective approach to support semantic transformation algorithm for SPARQL queries to SQL queries, more precisely SPARQL SELECT queries; by adopting this method, the relational database can be questioned easily with SPARQL queries maintaining the same performance., {"references":["Http://infomesh.net/2001/swintro/.","A.
