Schistosomiasis is considered as one of the most significant trematode diseases of human. The most import and goal of the present study is to use the natural plants as cheaper and available sources for snail control, the Plant extracts against molluscicides have a great attention in recent years and concerned a best way of snail control. Coffee arabica was examined as a molluscicides anti adult Biomphalaria arabica snails which as vector schistosomiasis in Yemen and other countries. Lethal concentration, LC50 and LC90 values were detected for both tests (62.5 g/L and 112.5 g/L respectively). The present work revealed that, coffee arabica show the most potent effect on the survival, growth length and weight snails after 3 weeks exposure periods. The sublethal doses (LC10) of coffee arabica reduced the total protein and total lipid and increased glucose contents of the hemolymph of B. arabica snails. The activity of transaminases enzymes AST and ALT had been affected by the exposure to the sublethal doses of the tested plant and presented significant effect. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
