At present, there are still some problems in the remote sensing target detection algorithm based on the general YOLO (you only look once) series, such as not making full use of the global context information of the image, not narrowing the semantic gap in the feature fusion pyramid part, and not suppressing the interference of redundant information. On the basis of combining the advantages of YOLO algorithms, this paper proposes GUS-YOLO (network of global context extraction unit and attention gate-based YOLOS) algorithm. It has a backbone network Global Backbone that can make full use of global context information. Other than that, this algorithm introduces the Attention Gate module into the top-down structure of the fused feature pyramid, which can emphasize the necessary feature information and suppress redundant information. Furthermore, this paper designs the best network structure for the Attention Gate module and proposes the feature fusion structure U-Net of proposed network. Finally, because the ReLU activation function may lead to the problem that the model gradient is no longer updated, the Attention Gate module uses a learnable SMU (smooth maximum unit) activation function, which can improve the robustness of the model. On the NWPU VHR-10 remote sensing dataset, this algorithm achieves 1.64 percentage points and 9.39 percentage points performance improvement on mAP0.50 and mAP0.75 respectively compared with YOLOV7. Compared with the current 7 mainstream detection algorithms, this algorithm achieves better detection performance.

Despite the importance of transistors in modern electronics, transistor characterization requires expensive instruments that are not affordable for many researchers, engineers and educators. Here, we present software that can control source-meter units (SMUs) for current–voltage (I–V) characterization of field-effect transistors, bipolar junction transistors and general two-terminal devices. The software provides a graphical user interface that allows the user to perform parameter setup, real-time data plotting and data management with ease. By simultaneously controlling multiple SMUs with user-friendly interfaces, the developed software provides a more affordable option for the characterization of basic electrical elements, which can benefit research and educational activities related to electronics.

Electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) is a powerful tool for monitoring rechargeable batteries through state of charge and state of health estimation. In practical applications, EIS may be performed using ad-hoc electronics embedded in the final product. The accuracy of these custom impedance measurement systems must be validated against laboratory instrumentation. This paper presents the software tool EasyEIS, which we developed to perform EIS using a standard commercial source measure unit on a lithium-ion battery to validate results from a custom impedance measurement system. EasyEIS also includes a software-based sinusoidal waveform generator function that allows cost-effective EIS also in instruments that do not offer any hardware sinusoidal function generation feature.

Educational institutions have an influence in shaping the character and religiosity of students but not all educational institutions are able to change the behavior of their students. In recent years there have been many immoral cases involving students such as drugs, fighting, truant. Even educational institutions with religious backgrounds do not fully succeed in making student religiosity better. This study aims to determine the level of religious experience of vocational students with high school. The method used is a quantitative method. Subjects in this study were 120 students. The sampling technique used is simple random sampling technique. Data collection using questionnaires or questionnaires on the scale of religious experience. Then the data are analyzed using descriptive analysis and testing in hypotheses using the independent sample "T-test" test. Research findings show that; The religious experience of vocational students is included in the high category with a percentage of (88.3%) and 11.7%, the religious experience of high school students is included in the high category with a percentage of (88.3%) and 11.7%, and there is no difference in the level of religious experience in SMK students with high school students.

Metal–semiconductor (MS) contacts are main aspects of almost all electronic circuit elements. Thus, contact mechanism and its electrical properties to develop a faster and more reliable electronic device should be known. The electrical characterization of MS devices (in terms of temperature-dependent and/or independent current–voltage (I–V), capacitance–voltage (C–V) and capacitance–frequency (C–f) measurements) is applied frequently in methods for determining the electrical properties and how it works and what the possible applications are. We prepared a program for basic electrical measurements and parameter extraction from these measurements of MS contacts. It is important to prepare and use such a program for a research laboratory, because electrical measurements must be made quickly after the production process and users should be able to carry out this process easily. This work can be discussed in two separate sections. The first section consists of a measurement system, automated instrument control program and data acquisition program (SeCLaS-IC Semiconductors Laboratory Software—instrument control). The second section is data evaluation and basic electrical parameter extraction program (SeCLaS-PC Semiconductors Laboratory Software—parameter calculation). In this paper, we discussed temperature-dependent current–voltage (I–V–T), capacitance–voltage (C–V–T) and capacitance–frequency (C–V–f) measurement system and instrument control program. This system is comprised of controlling program, liquid nitrogen (LN2)-cooled handmade cryostat system, temperature measurement system, and Keysight B2912A Precision Source/Measure Unit (SMU) and Keysight E4980A Precision LCR Meter. This paper proposes a synchrophasors assisted novel algorithm for power system protection from various disturbances and health monitoring under critical conditions, as well as reinforcing the protective system by supervising and guiding the relays. The proposed algorithm, as a wide-area backup protection system, monitors the power system health using the generator rotor angle and the bus voltage phasors and thus detects a disturbance using the absolute value of generator rotor angle deviation ($\vert \Delta \delta _{\mathrm{gi}}\vert$). The disturbance is classified into fault, stressed condition or unstable condition using $\Delta \delta _{\mathrm{gi}}$. During the fault or the stressed condition, the disturbance associated bus (parent bus) is identified using Voltage Sensitive Coefficient (VSC) to supervise and guide the operation of appropriate Undervoltage/Overvoltage (UV/OV) relays. For achieving this, the proposed algorithm employs the data received at Phasor Data Concentrator (PDC) in Wide-Area Protection System (WAPS) from all Synchrophasor Measurement Units (SMUs). The performance of the algorithm is tested on the New England IEEE-39 bus system. The results evince that the proposed algorithm at WAPS detects and classifies the disturbance efficiently besides monitors the health accurately and reinforces the protection reliability. This case examines the corporate restructuring process of SMU Group, a Chilean retail supermarket chain. The restructuring process was triggered by an internal situation involving operational inefficiencies between the years 2007 and 2012, following an aggressive acquisition process. These problems were the result of an aggressive "Buy-and- Build" strategy, thanks to which by the end of 2012 the Group had grown to become the third largest player in the supermarket industry in Chile. Although this strategy allowed the conglomerate to consolidate its competitive position, it was based on inorganic growth that hid the differences in the operational performance of the different chains and did not allow the Group to take advantage of its own synergies in the process of consolidating the holding company. Around mid-2013, this lack of definition in SMU's competitive strategy resulted in a serious deterioration of its financial position, due to the significant indebtedness taken on to finance acquisitions, as well as the insufficient generation of cash flow. Furthermore, when compared to the two main players in the industry, SMU showed lower levels of profitability and sales per square meter. To overcome this crisis, SMU implemented a three-year strategic plan (2014-2016), reinforcing three fundamental areas: finance, operations and commercial. The goal was to restore financial viability to the conglomerate by the end of 2016. After executing its plan, SMU achieved an improvement at the operational and commercial levels. However, in the first months of 2017, the risk rating agencies still had doubts about SMU's future performance and its crisis management capacity. For this reason, Álvaro Saieh, who was serving at the time as Chairman of the Company's Board of Directors, had several questions: could SMU's 3-year operational and strategic restructuring plan be considered successful? what are the critical variables that will ensure the sustainability of the company and its growth in the coming years? will I be questioned again like I was in 2013? and finally, what possibilities do I have to create corporate value in the future? In this study, the performance of a source measure unit (SMU) performing cyclic and differential pulse voltammetry analyses, in comparison to potentiostat, is investigated. SMU is a versatile and accurate tool, capable of sourcing and measuring simultaneously and is comparable to the use of a potentiostat for such measurements. Here, two surface-functionalized screen-printed carbon electrodes with two different nanocomposites were utilized to represent the electrochemical system. The results unveil that the electrochemical behaviour of SMU is qualitatively comparable to that of the potentiostat with more than 97% accuracy; for both cyclic voltammetry (CV) and differential pulse voltammetry (DPV).
