Dysphagia is a common complication after stroke, and early screening, correct assessment, and timely intervention can improve patient outcomes. This article reviews the research progress affecting the outcomes of patients with stroke dysphagia from the aspects of swallowing function screening and evaluation, and feeding management. This paper summarized the hospital discharge preparedness and nursing for a stroke patient with carotid artery stenting. In addition to treatment and routine nursing, the hospital discharge preparedness and nursing was carried out. The multidisciplinary team had developed the nursing discharge plan based on the risk assessment, in order to provide continuous nursing service, reduce the unplanned hospital or emergency readmission and reduce the economic and psychological burden of the patient. This paper summarized the practice of evidence-based nursing for a patient with post-stroke dysphagia. Based on the evidence of nursing for post-stroke dysphagia, early screening and evaluation for dysphagia was conducted. Diet management, rehabilitation training and health education were carried out to improve the prognosis, rehabilitation and quality of life of the patient. Ropeginterferon alfa-2b (Ropeg) is approved for the treatment of adults with polycythemia vera (PV). This report aims to analyze the ethnic sensitivity of Ropeg for the treatment of PV, comparing the pharmacokinetics (PK), efficacy, and safety profiles across diverse ethnic groups. We conducted a relevant review of PV and analysis of data obtained from clinical studies involving Ropeg. The PK behavior of ropeg showed no significant differences between Chinese and overseas populations. Their efficacy and safety profiles were similar across the ethnic groups. The analyses indicated that the dose-exposure-response profile of Ropeg was consistent irrespective of ethnic variations. The results suggest that Ropeg exhibits a consistent PK and pharmacodynamics profile and a similar therapeutic effect across different ethnic groups, confirming its efficacy and safety in the global treatment of PV. More generally, these findings support the broader application of Ropeg in diverse patient populations and emphasize the need for an inclusive clinical practice. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Aims: The aim of this study is to investigate nurses' research capacity and related training needs in Shanghai to provide evidence to further nursing research training. Materials and Methods: A cross-sectional design with a convenience sample of 1226 clinical registered nurses, including the Nursing Research Capacity of Self-Evaluation Questionnaire and Research Training Needs Form, was recruited from 14 public hospitals in Shanghai, China. And the influencing factors of nurses' research capacity were analyzed. Results: The mean score of nurses' research capacity was (46.25 ± 22.90) in Shanghai, that was at a low-to-medium level. The influencing factors of nurses' research capacity including age ( F = 15.983, P < 0.001), education ( F = 20.738, P < 0.001), professional title ( F = 6.993, P = 0.001), working years ( F = 7.803, P < 0.001), department ( F = 8.545, P < 0.001), and position ( F = -3.354, P = 0.001). The most critical factor is the time to participate a study ( P < 0.001). And what the nurses demanded were writing skills, special lectures, and participating in colleagues' projects mostly. Conclusion: Nurse's scientific research capacity still needs to be improved in Shanghai. The key to improving this situation is the individualized scientific research training and education for nurses and the practice of more participation in scientific research projects. The biophysical/functional properties of wild-type human Sonic hedgehog (ShhN) have been compared with those of mutants in which some zinc-coordinating residues are mutated to alanine. Properties of the E176A mutant were not distinguishable from those of wild-type ShhN. The residue apparently does not contribute significantly to stabilization of the zinc-binding site. ShhN does not seem to require hydrolase activity for in vitro biological function.
