The lack of reproducibility of scientific results is jeopardizing the trust in science. An effort to inform the dynamic, but non-arbitrary, nature of scientific evidence is required along with strengthening the reliability of published results. Concerns and actions aimed at testing and increasing the reproducibility of scientific conclusions are usually directed at increasing data validation through careful management of the data-curation process, paying attention to the empirical aspects of hypotheses testing. But important as they are, these aspects may be vulnerable to the perils of radical empiricism and therefore should be combined with more theoretical and conceptual tools. Pattern consistency and an understanding of the physiological, behavioral, or ecological mechanisms that cause patterns make scientific assertions more robust. Testing a priori hypotheses (e.g., about functional biological traits) with fresh (and redundant) evidence offers theoretical as well as empirical support for ecological research and may help strengthen the reliability of published results. The Supreme Court 's 1996 decision in Seminole Tribe v. Florida opened an era of dramatic expansion of states' sovereign immunity from suits by private parties. Nationalist Justices vigorously contested that expansion, vowing that they would never accept Seminole Tribe 's legitimacy or accord it stare decisis effect. In 2020, however, the unanimous decision in Allen v. Cooper did accept Seminole Tribe 's vision of state immunity, apparently ending the Court 's longstanding and bitter division on this issue. This Article assesses Seminole Tribe as a revolution in legal doctrine that established a new paradigm ojstate immunity law, analogous to the scientific upheavals that Thomas Kuhn examined in The Structure of Scientific Revolutions. It considers how the state immunity revolution came to an end, continuing threats to the Seminole Tribe paradigm posed by recent decisions like Torres v. Texas Department of Public Safety, and what the Court's continuing debates about state immunity can tell us about the doctrine of stare decisis and the stability of legal paradigms. The most important lesson is that stare decisis may be insullicient to maintain a legal paradigm 11'ithout acceptance of a precedent 's underlying rationale. China is currently at a critical stage in transitioning from a large petrochemical country to a powerful one. To clarify the relationship between the development of the petrochemical industry and local ecological economy and explore the scientific development path for the industry, this paper analyzes the influence of petrochemical industry agglomeration on local ecological efficiency. By using panel data from 30 provincial units between 2012 and 2021, the study also investigates the mediating effect of green technology innovation on this relationship. Results show that the agglomeration of China's petrochemical industry positively affects local ecological efficiency. However, given some issues such as separation of production and innovation activities within the industry, a negative correlation exists between the agglomeration level of the petrochemical industry in China and the level of green technology innovation. Consequently, the agglomeration of China's petrochemical industry cannot enhance ecological efficiency through the mediating effect of green technology innovation level. The substantial resource consumption by green technology innovation has not translated into effective ecological economic benefits, which has increased the burden on ecological functions and resulted in a negative effect on ecological efficiency. The research conclusions and proposed measures hold significant implications for the scientific planning of the development of China's petrochemical industry, as well as for promoting regional economic growth and ecological construction. Universities have an important role in training students in orientation and assimilation of knowledge through research and publication of scientific papers, especially in the era of society 5.0. Understanding and knowledge seem to be the only things that guarantee the social and economic progress of society that is not eroded over time. The Policy for Improving the Quality of Students through the Research Program and Publication of Postgraduate Student Scientific Work is an important initiative in advancing higher education and strengthening the role of students in their contribution to knowledge and scientific development. This research aims to describe how this program has contributed to improving the quality of postgraduate students, as well as its impact on the development of research and publication of students' scientific work. This research method uses a descriptive qualitative approach with literature study research as direct data. Data collection techniques by collecting published scientific papers from postgraduate students. To optimize the results of data collection, an article search was carried out from Google Scholar using the search terms names of postgraduate students who were used as research objects. Qualitative data analysis consists of three series: data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing. The research results show that: First, the condition of the quality of research activities carried out by Postgraduate students at UIN Prof. K.H. Saifudin Zuhri Purwokerto is doing well. Many of the important research advances in understanding and treating Parkinson's disease never leave the academic sphere, as communication barriers limit accessibility for, and engagement with, broader audiences. To increase meaningful dialogue between academic researchers and community stakeholders, Piece of Mind: Parkinson's brought together neuroscientists, people with Parkinson's disease (PD), and artists to co-create a knowledge translation performance based on scientific research and lived experience. The filmed, feature-length performance engages the viewer emotionally and intellectually using circus, dance, music, poetry, and patient testimonials. Background: Given the dire need for health and rehabilitation services internationally, exacerbated during the COVID-19 pandemic, there is a critical need to develop tools to support service delivery. This need is palpable in the Global South where tools developed in Eurocentric contexts are not always adaptable, applicable, or relevant. It is for this reason that the researchers present three case studies of tool development using pilot and feasibility studies in South Africa and share the lessons learned from these studies. Objectives: To describe three case studies that developed new tools for health and rehabilitation services using pilot and feasibility studies. To synthesize lessons learned from these case studies on the development of tools. Method: The researchers describe three case studies that were developed. The case studies are summarized as follows: aims and objectives, context, problem, study design, findings, and what happened after the study. Thereafter, a qualitative cross-case analysis was conducted by the researchers to generate themes. Findings: The case studies are described individually and followed by themes identified through cross-case analysis. Discussion: The lessons learned are discussed. It is essential to develop new tools and protocols, motivated by the need for equitable and contextually relevant practices. Partnerships and collaboration with end-users are critical for success. A critical, scientific process is essential in developing new tools. Pilot and feasibility studies are invaluable in developing tools and assessing the feasibility of tools and implementation. Automated Vehicles are becoming more and more prevalent in the modern world. Although these vehicles are not without drawbacks, they are predicted to have numerous benefits to society and are here to stay. However, as society progresses towards a more computer-controlled and less human-operated vehicle world, U.S. laws have been unable to keep up with these scientific developments. The federal and state governments have yet to achieve uniformity in their automated vehicle laws and regulations. The former has only provided voluntary guidance. For the latter, some states have taken progressive approaches, while others have taken more conservative ones. Taking into consideration that the current and upcoming automated vehicle technologies will create difficulties for claimants to successfully bring claims under the existing state product liability laws, this Note will explore potential solutions and propose a solution to address the current flaws. This Note will examine what the European Union has achieved in this area of law and what solutions other legal scholars have proposed to address the issue. Finally, this Note will propose that the United States enact a unified federal automated vehicle regulation with a private cause of action for automated vehicle product liability. Abu Alī Ibn Sinā (980-1037) was a prominent Muslim physician, philosopher, and medical expert. Universities are powerful spaces for reducing gender inequalities, especially in relation to professional training and scientific development. To this end, actions and university policies need to be developed and aligned in order to promote conditions for entry, permanence and progress in academic careers. In view of this, this study carried out a bibliographic survey in the form of a Qualitative Systematic Review of national productions in Portuguese on university policies and gender, focusing on policies or studies that cover women. In the methodological process, a string of consultations was carried out on the Portal of the Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel - Capes. The works selected are from the last ten years, corresponding to the period from 2012 to 2022. The initial survey resulted in 312 articles. After checking and analyzing the articles, it was possible to find 09 papers on the subject. As a result, it was identified that university policies and gender, especially in relation to women, are incipient and still insufficient to encompass the new facets perceived as difficulties in the training of female students in Higher Education. Heritage corridors are methods to effectively protect and utilize linear cultural heritage based on the concept of regional conservation. The construction of a heritage corridor system is extremely important to preserve the natural environment of the heritage corridor area as well as the history and culture alongside. The majority of the research on the construction of heritage corridors heretofore focused on the generation of corridors, whereas studies on the classification of corridors are relatively limited, without a complete system for the construction of heritage corridors. Therefore, this paper aimed to (1) establish a comprehensive system for the construction of heritage corridors, (2) provide new ideas for the construction of heritage corridors, and (3) guide the scientific development of heritage corridors combining conservation and tourism. In the first place, the minimum cumulative resistance (MCR) model was applied to analyze the spatial structure of the study area and explore site selection of the heritage corridors; secondly, spatial syntax was used to measure the heritage corridors and determine the level of the heritage corridors; last but not least, the kernel density analysis was used to classify the types of heritage corridors. The article perfects the operation of the lines of research in the management of science activity at the University of Matanzas so that they achieve effective expression in the University-Society link. Theoretical and empirical level methods are used. The historical-logical, analytic-synthetic, inductive-deductive, modeling, and system approach were theoretical-level methods used. These methods allowed the proposal of a work procedure. The results achieved through the science, technology, and innovation management indicators established by the Ministry of Higher Education of Cuba were evaluated. New actions to fulfill the goal of deepening the university-government-productive sector linkage and increasing its impact on sustainable economic and social development were projected. In general, the lines of research for the period 2016-2020 were worked, the lines of 2021-2025 are restructured and progress is shown in the indicators due to the management carried out. In this paper, we review information dissemination models from the past three years and conduct a detailed analysis, such as explanatory and predictive models. Emotions can influence the development of scientific competence and are of great relevance in Science Education. This paper has designed a, implemented in the third year of Secondary Education, during the recent global pandemic of COVID-19, to analyze the development of scientific competence in students and the emotions declared by students. The context of the activities is intended to be close and motivating for the students, so that it is based on obtaining the evidence that allows them to find out what is the best method to eliminate the SARS-CoV-2 virus from their hands. The responses, self-perceptions of learning and emotions of the students in each of the activities have been collected and analyzed. The results show the ability of the students to extract relevant information from the resources used, as well as the relationship between emotions and perceived learning. In conclusion, it is worth noting the need to link scientific education to the resolution of current problems as part of responsible citizenship in decision-making that affects globally. It is stipulated by the perspective of the direction of modern musicology related to the scientific development of the performing repertoire. Purpose: Verify the quality management practices carried out in hospital organizations in Rio Grande do Sul, based on the construct by Xiong et al. (2017). Methodology: A descriptive, qualitative research was carried out with three hospital organizations, established in the state of Rio Grande do Sul. Data collection was carried out through interviews with the quality managers and the main executive of each hospital. Results: The results indicate that quality management helps hospitals to measure the satisfaction of the interested parties in the organization, such as: customers, employees and suppliers, who through quality tolos, carry out result analysis in search of improvements. It is noteworthy that the influence of quality management in relation to the mapping and control of processes results in the optimization of work and continuous learning. Contributions of the Study: The findings of this study contribute to health managers who want to implement quality management practices in hospital organizations; It also contributes to the scientific development of the administration área; still understanding at what points hospitals can advance in their management is relevant to develop improvements in the Brazilian health system. Par excellence, university campuses are spaces to promote research, develop science and technology, giving rise to the social progress of the human species. In the current context, the university serves as a space for innovation, the universalization of knowledge and new ways of interpreting reality. In this sense, the article aims to analyze the interrelation between science, the university and society, taking into account the following elements: 1. This article analyses thends in Social Innovation research published in the Web of Science Social Sciences Citation Index (SSCI). Definitions, metrics, topics, agents and approaches are identified via bibliometric investigation using the "Bibliometrix" sofware, as well as a bibliographic review of the 50 most cited articles. It is concluded that there is a multitude of definitions of social innovation, with the common denominator being the implementation of new ideas and collaborative forms of relationship between different social agents to address complex social problems and needs. An important part of this research is approached from a micro focus, which is considered necessary to increase social impact and the transition to higher levels, meso and macro, which include a greater number of agents, among which social entities stand out. In this paper I examine Thomas Kuhn's epistolary and in-person exchanges with Richard Rorty, and their significance to the former's work on the nature of scientific development during the years 1976–1986. Accordingly, it corresponds to a significant evolution of Kuhn's thought from the position expounded earlier in The Structure of Scientific Revolutions. These letters show how Kuhn's philosophy of science evolved towards a greater emphasis on a key aspect of his former work—the nature of 'the essential tension'—and that his more linguistically-oriented perspective in these latter years has that emphasis as its goal—at least as a significant part. This paper examines 'The Natures of Conceptual Change', the Notre Dame lectures given by Kuhn in 1980. In particular, I aim to examine the content of these lectures which was not published before. This exegetical task will shed light on the sources of the notion of taxonomy used in these lectures for the first time with the explicit philosophical purposes. It also will shed new light on Kuhn's position regarding the causal theory of reference. Reviewing these archival materials paves the way for intertextual comparisons, as Kuhn included part of these lectures in the texts published later and in the book Plurality of Worlds: an Evolutionary Theory of Scientific Development. In recent years, the publication of Kuhn's archival material and the research on these texts increased in quantity and quality. Faced with this encouraging landscape, a comparative examination of the different unpublished texts is crucial to refining both our research tools on Kuhn's intellectual biography and the philosophical work inspired by his proposal. Taking the ecological construction of forestry in Northeast China as the research object, a 3-level evaluation model was constructed by applying the hierarchical analysis method, dividing the 4 dimensions of the ecological construction of forestry in Northeast China, determining 17 index factors affecting the current situation of the ecological construction of forestry in Northeast China, and determining the weights of each evaluation index by using the expert scoring method. The current situation of the ecological construction of forestry in Northeast China was analyzed by using the fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method. The results showed that the ecological construction of forestry in Northeast China was generally at the level of ‘medium’, ‘good’ and ‘excellent’ (accounting for 0.9 of the total affiliation degree). Based on the final evaluation results, 4 suggestions were made for the ecological construction of forestry in Northeast China and its future development, 1) respect the laws of nature and adhere to scientific development; 2) optimize policy management and improve supervision system; 3) strengthen ecological education and promote people's livelihood development; 4) promote industrial integration and adhere to ecological enrichment. Each chapter starts with a brief history of environmental chemistry and policies in the given country and then clarifies how the conceptual framework of green chemistry emerged there as a distinct phenomenon in the 1990s. Context: Progress in palliative care (PC) necessarily involves scientific development. However, research conducted in South America (SA) needs to be improved.Objectives: To develop a set of recommendations to advance PC research in SA.Methods: Eighteen international PC experts participated in a Delphi study. In round 1, items were developed (open-ended questions); in round 2, each expert scored the importance of each item (from 0 to 10); in round 3, they selected the 20 most relevant items. Throughout the rounds, the five main priority themes for research in SA were defined. In Round 3, consensus was defined as an agreement of ≥75%.Results: 60 potential suggestions for overcoming research barriers in PC were developed in round 1. Also in Round 1, 88.2% (15 of 17) of the experts agreed to define a priority research agenda. In Round 2, the 36 most relevant suggestions were defined and a new one added. Potential research priorities were investigated (open-ended). In Round 3, from the 37 items, 10 were considered the most important. Regarding research priorities, symptom control, PC in primary care, public policies, education and prognosis were defined as the most relevant.Conclusions: Potential strategies to improve scientific research on PC in SA were defined, including stimulating the formation of collaborative research networks, offering courses and workshops on research, structuring centers with infrastructure resources and trained researchers, and lobbying governmental organizations to convince about the importance of palliative care. Creativity serves as a fountain for social and scientific development. As one of the most crucial human capabilities, creativity has been believed to be supported by the core component of higher cognitive functions—working memory capacity (WMC). However, the evidence supporting the association between WMC and creativity remains contradictory. Here, we conducted a meta-analysis using random-effects models to investigate the linear association between WMC and creativity by pooling the individual effect size from the previous literature. Further, a subgroup analysis was performed to examine whether such association is specific for different WMC categories (i.e., verbal WMC, visual–spatial WMC and dual-task WMC). The main meta-analytic results showed a significantly positive association between WMC and creativity (r =.083, 95% CI:.050–.115, p <.001, n = 3104, k = 28). The subgroup analysis demonstrated consistent results by showing a significantly positive association between them, irrespective of WMC category. We also found that cultural environments could moderate this association, and we identified a strong correlation in participants from an Asian cultural context. In conclusion, this study provides the evidence to clarify the positive association between WMC and creativity, and implies that the Asian cultural context may boost such an association. 【Objective】The study aims to reveal the spatial and temporal changes of vegetable production in Guangdong Province from 1992 to 2020, with a view to providing a decision basis for the spatial distribution optimization and scientific development strategy of vegetable production in Guangdong Province.【Method】Based on the data of vegetable production in Guangdong Province from 1992 to 2020, the methods of time-series statistics, production scale index, production concentration index, and change monitoring were used to analyze the time-series changes, spatial differences, spatial and temporal distribution and change patterns of vegetable production in Guangdong Province from provincial, municipal and county scales, respectively. 【Result】From the provincial scale, from 1992 to 2020, the vegetable sowing area, yield and unit yield in Guangdong Province had been in a fluctuating ascending trend, with the vegetable sowing area increased by 73.23×104 hm² and vegetable yield increased by 2503.31×104 t. The vegetable unit yield in Guangdong Province increased from 19.07 t/hm² in 1992 to 27.19 t/hm² in 2020. From the municipal scale, the regions with larger vegetable sowing area and higher vegetable yield were mainly distributed in Guangzhou, Zhanjiang and Maoming; meanwhile, the regions with higher vegetable unit yield were mainly distributed in Shantou, Jieyang and Chaozhou. From the county scale, counties with vegetable sowing area of more than 2×104 hm² or yield of more than 50×104 t showed as a significant upward trend, and the distribution pattern of these counties developed from scattered to aggregated contiguous. Further more, counties with vegetable unit yield of more than 30 t/hm² were dominated by an upward trend, and the distribution pattern of these counties developed from a sporadic distribution in the eastern Guangdong area to a cluster of contiguous development in many regions of the whole province. 【Conclusion】The results show that the vegetable production in Guangdong Province showed significant spatial and temporal divergence from 1992 to 2020. Therefore, vegetable production in Guangdong Province should be given full attention to regional advantages, and promote the efficiency, high-quality and specialization of vegetable production in various cities and counties on the basis of ensuring the stable production and supply of vegetables. In the consumer society, desires are transformed into needs and this affects the emergence of compulsive buying and its negative effects on a personal and social level. For this reason, an analysis and synthesis effort is required on the existing scientific knowledge, which improves the understanding of the area. The objective is to analyze the development of scientific production on compulsive buying. The inclusion criteria were: individual empirical articles and reviews, covering up to the year 2020 and without language bias. The databases Web of Science, Scopus and PsycINFO were used. Through a bibliometric analysis -with PRISMA criteria- and using the EndNote X9 reference manager, 971 publications were located. The results indicate: an increase in productivity since 2005; English is the prevailing language of the publications; USA is the country with the highest productivity; the most frequent keyword is compulsive buying. Three main research teams on the phenomenon were identified and a content analysis of their publications was made. A report of the most cited articles of the databases was made. The establishment of printing, translation skills, publishing the newspapers, and new schools were the first efforts that had been made in Tabriz. Education was in maktab forms until Nasereldin Shah and had many limitations, but there were more than 100 maktabs in Tabriz; most of the people were poor, the number of pupils was a few, and the lessons were religious. The classes in maktabs were held in houses and mosques. Every maktab had characteristics. The methods of teaching were not equal. The teachers in maktabs had some notable qualifications. The maktabs in that period had many problems. The curriculum in maktabs involved Quranic instructions, Arabic grammar and some religious passages. This article describes the personal journey of an experienced Brazilian child psychiatrist who also trained as a systems-oriented family therapist who realized that she was not systems oriented enough. Her son, a family doctor, has been influencing the inclusion of planetary health care in her work. The principal goal of this study is to analyze the evolution of sensor research and technologies from 1990 to 2020 to clarify outlook and future directions. This paper applies network analysis to a large dataset of publications concerning sensor research covering a 30-year period. Results show that the evolution of sensors is based on growing scientific interactions within networks, between different research fields that generate co-evolutionary pathways directed to develop general-purpose and/or specialized technologies, such as wireless sensors, biosensors, fiber-optic, and optical sensors, having manifold applications in industries. These results show new directions of sensor research that can drive R&D investments toward promising technological trajectories of sensors, exhibiting a high potential of growth to support scientific, technological, industrial, and socioeconomic development. Few technological achievements rival man's landing on the moon in 1969. Responses rushed ahead in both secular and religious circles. This article evaluates how evangelicals received and interpreted this watershed moment and how they ultimately arrived at their paradoxical conclusions. Their responses mapped well onto those of the general public, but distinctly theological reflection served as the motivation for both their excitement and concern. Far from being anti-scientific Luddites, they generally applauded the scientific possibilities the landing offered. Those evangelicals who expressed hesitancy did not do so out of disdain for modern discovery but rather because their theological concerns about pride and stewardship led them to caution. As evangelicals continue to process technological endeavors, their twentieth-century predecessors provide an open window into how those from the past have wrestled with the biblical, theological, and technological tensions of scientific development. The interface between art and science is an increasingly recognized source of innovation, yet explorations tend to skew toward art reaping the benefits of scientific developments. While, today, art is often freely embraced within scientific fields, it is rarely afforded the freedom to transform scientific research. The authors explore a new paradigm of "art-inspired science" by reimagining and computationally simulating an existing artwork as a dynamic body of cohesive particles. In the process, hanging forms of "granular stalactites" are identified and subsequently reproduced in an idealized simulated system. A theoretical "stickiness" model was then developed to predict their maximum height, which could have wide technological application.
