Bu tez çalışmasında ince film güneş hücrelerinde pencere/tampon katmanı olarak sıkça kullanılan CdS ve soğurucu katman olarak kullanılabilecek PbS ince filmleri ultrasonik spray pyrolysis tekniği ile elde edilerek ince film güneş hücrelerinde kullanılabilirlikleri araştırılmıştır.Bu amaçla katkısız ve farklı oranlarda (%2, 4, 6 ve 8) F katkılı CdS ince filmler 350C sıcaklıkta cam alttaşlar üzerine çöktürülerek F katkısının CdS ince filmlerinin yapısal, morfolojik, elemental, optiksel ve elektriksel özellikleri üzerine etkisi incelenmiştir. Yapısal analizleri sonucunda bütün CdS:F ince filmlerinin hekzagonal kristal yapısına sahip oldukları, F katkısı ile birlikte ortalama kristal büyüklüklerinin arttığı belirlenmiştir. Optik analizleri gerçekleştirildiğinde ince filmlerin geçirgenliğinin F katkısıyla birlikte %55'ten %70'e arttığı görülmüş ve optik metot kullanılarak yasak enerji aralıklarının 2.39–2.42 eV aralığında olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Elektriksel analizler, n-tipi iletkenliğe sahip CdS:F ince filmlerinin elektriksel özdirençlerinin F katkılanması sonucunda arttığını ortaya koymuştur.Çalışmanın diğer aşamasında ise PbS ince filmler, farklı Pb:S derişim oranı içeren başlangıç püskürtme çözeltisi kullanılarak 225C sıcaklıkta cam alttaşlar üzerine çöktürülmüştür. Yapısal analizleri, artan thiourea derişiminin filmlerin yapısal özelliklerini iyileştirdiği ve ortalama kristal büyüklüğünün 11 nm'den 24 nm'ye yükseldiği belirlenmiştir. Optik özellikleri incelendiğinde PbS ince filmlerinin görünür bölge içerisinde oldukça düşük geçirgenliğe sahip olduğu görülmüş ve yasak enerji aralılıklarının 1.18-1.37 eV aralığında olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Bunun yanı sıra, p-tipi iletkenliğe sahip olan PbS ince filmlerinin, artan thiourea derişimi ile birlikte elektriksel özdirencinin 4.78102 cm'den 3.08101 cm'ye düştüğü belirlenmiştir. Çalışmanın son aşaması olarak başlangıç püskürtme çözeltisi içerisine farklı oranlarda (%1, 2, 3 ve 4) Ag eklenerek, PbS ince filmlerin fiziksel özellikleri üzerinde Ag katkısının etkisi incelenmiştir. Yapısal analizler, Ag katkısının filmlerin ortalama kristal büyüklüğünde artışa neden olduğunu göstermiştir. Ayrıca Ag katkısının filmlerin morfolojileri üzerinde önemli bir iyileştirme gerçekleştirdiği tespit edilmiştir. Elektriksel özellikleri incelendiğinde bütün PbS:Ag ince filmlerinin p-tipi iletkenliğe sahip oldukları belirlenmiştir. In this study, CdS thin films which are frequently used as window/buffer layer and PbS thin films which can be used as absorber layer in thin film solar cells, were obtained by using ultrasonic spray pyrolysis technique and their usability in thin film solar cells was investigated.For this purpose, undoped and F doped CdS thin films at different doping concentrations (2, 4, 6 and 8 at. %) were deposited onto glass substrates at 350C and after that, influence of F doping on structural, morphological, elemental, optical and electrical properties of CdS thin films was examined. As a result of structural analyses, it was determined that all CdS:F thin films have hexagonal structure and average crystal size increased with the doping of F. When the optical analysis performed, it was seen that transmittance of CdS:F thin films increased from 55 at.% to 70 at.% and the optical band gap of the films was found to be within the range of 2.39-2.42 eV. Electrical analyses have revealed that, electrical resistivity of CdS:F thin films which have n-type conductivity increased as a consequence of F doping.At the other stage of the study, PbS thin films were deposited onto glass substrate at 225C by using precursor solution containing different Pb:S molar ratio. Structural analyses have shown that increasing thiourea concentration in precursor solution improved the structural properties of deposited films and average crystal size increased from 11 nm to 24 nm. When the optical properties examined, it was seen that all deposited PbS thin films have low transmittance in the visible region and the band gap energies of films found to be within the range of 1.18-1.37 eV. Besides, it was determined that electrical resistivity of PbS thin films with p-type resistivity decreased with increasing thiourea concentration in the precursor solution. In the last step of the study, the effect of Ag doping on the physical properties of PbS thin films were investigated by incorporating Ag at different concentrations (1, 2, 3 and 4 at. %) into the precursor solution. Structural analyses have shown that Ag doping led to increase in the average crystal size of the films. It was also found that the Ag doping made significant improvement in the morphology of the films. When electrical properties were investigated, it was observed that all deposited PbS:Ag thin films have p-type conductivity. 149

Bu çalışmada katkısız ve farklı oranlarda (%3, 6, 9 ve 12) vanadyum (V) katkılı ZnO ince filmler Ultrasonik Kimyasal Tekniği (UKPT) ile 400 ? 5 ? C sıcaklıkta mikroskop cam tabanlar üzerine çöktürülmüştür.Filmlerin yapısal özellikleri X-ışını kırınım tekniği kullanılarak incelenmiş ve bütün filmlerin polikristal yapıda oldukları görülmüştür. XRD desenleri kullanılarak bütün filmlerin yapılanma katsayıları, ortalama tane büyüklükleri, dislokasyon yoğunlukları, örgü sabitleri ve birim hücre hacmi gibi bazı yapısal parametreleri hesaplanmıştır. Atomik kuvvet mikroskobu ve taramalı elektron mikroskobu kullanılarak yapılan incelemelerde filmlerin hemen hemen homojen yüzeye sahip oldukları görülmüştür. Enerji dağılımlı x-ışını spektroskopisi ile katı filmlerin elemental analizleri yapılmıştır. Tüm filmlerin 300?900 nm dalgaboyu aralığında optik geçirgenlik, soğurma ve yansıma spektrumları alınmış ve bu spektrumlardan yararlanılarak filmlerin yasak enerji aralıkları ve Urbach parametreleri gibi bazı optik parametreleri belirlenmiştir.Ortalama %70 civarında optik geçirgenliğe sahip olan filmlerin yasak enerji aralıklarının ~3,28 eV olduğu ve Urbach parametrelerinin ise 66?92 meV aralığında değiştiği tespit edilmiştir. Filmlerin elektriksel iletim mekanizmalarını incelemek için iki uç tekniği kullanılmış ve her bir film için elektriksel iletkenlik değerleri hesaplanmıştır. Ayrıca sıcak uç tekniği kullanılarak bütün filmlerin n-tipi iletkenlik gösterdikleri belirlenmiştir. Filmlerin manyetik özellikleri titreşimli örnek manyetometresi kullanılarak araştırılmış ve çöktürülen bütün filmlerin oda sıcaklığında ferromanyetik özellik sergiledikleri görülmüştür.Yapılan bütün analizler V katkısının ZnO filmlerin bazı fiziksel özellikleri üzerinde önemli bir etkiye sahip olduğunu göstermiştir. In this work, undoped and different proportions of vanadium (V) doped ZnO (3, 6, 9 and 12 at. %) thin films were deposited onto microscope glass substrates at 400 ? 5 ? C by using ultrasonic spray pyrolysis technique.Structural properties of the films were examined using x-ray diffraction technique and it was seen that all films have polycrystalline structure. Some structural parameters such as texture coefficient, the average grain size, dislocation density, lattice constant and unit cell volume of all films were calculated by XRD patterns. It was seen that all films have almost homogeneous surface datas obtained by means of atomic force microscope and scanning electron microscope. Elemental analysis of solid films was performed using energy dispersive x-ray spectroscopy.Optical transmittance, absorbance and reflectance spectra of deposited films were taken in the range of 300-900 nm and optical parameters such as optical transmissions, absorption coefficients, energy band gaps and Urbach parameters of the films were determined by using these spectra. As a result of investigations it has been evaluated that all films exhibit optical transmission around 70 at. %, and energy band gaps and Urbach parameters of the films were estimated to be ? 3,28 eV and between 66-92 meV, respectively. Two probe method have been used to examine electrical conduction mechanisms of films and electrical conductivity values were calculated for each film. Also it has been determined that all films have n-type conductivity by using hot probe technique. Magnetic properties of films were investigated by vibration sample magnetometer and it was seen that all deposited films exhibit ferromagnetic behavior at room temperature.All analysis revealed that incorporation of V has a significant effect on several physical properties of undoped ZnO films. 113
