Nowadays, automotive, packaging and sport equipment industries are using natural fibre based composite materials as they are cheap, abundantly available and having a lot of ecological advantages. The main objective of this paper is to introduce a new concept of fibre twisting and to investigate the effect of twisting and the fibre orientation on the mechanical properties of bio degradable green composites. Here, the composites are fabricated by vacuum assisted compression molding technique in which the problems of hand lay process are eliminated. Here, two fibers namely twisted neem and twisted kenaf are sandwiched between layers of glass fibres to enhance the stiffness and strength of the laminates. Initially, the fibers are alkalized to increase the mechanical properties. The result shows that there is a significant improvement in mechanical properties of composites due to the presence of twisted fibers. It also shows the influence of fiber orientation on mechanical properties.

Advancement in Science and technology over the past decade has made the human society to venture into using hybrid materials for variety of applications. Natural fiber composite materials are one among those new emerging engineering materials. These materials are finding increased usage due to their low cost and eco-friendly nature. This paper deals with the fabrication and characterization of abaca, flax based hybrid composite. The properties of hybrid composites are compared to the composite containing any one of the constitutional fibers of hybrid composite. The characterisation is based on behaviour of composite under various mechanical testing. The tests include double shear strength and Hardness. The inner filament brakeage and crack propagation are studied using Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM).

Bio-fibre composites are increasingly replacing conventional and synthetic composite materials for the past two decades. This is due to their abundant availability, high strength to weight ratio and bio-degradability. Suitable properties of natural fibres can be imparted by changing the orientation of the fibres during manufacturing process. This paper proposes a hybrid property of natural fibre composite made up of Manila and abaca fibres as reinforcing agents with epoxy resin as matrix .Hand lay-up process is used for manufacturing this composite laminate. Then the treated fibres with increased strength are used with epoxy LY556 resin with HY951 hardener under room temperature. Three different samples are prepared and their mechanical properties like impact and flexural strength are found. This hybrid composite is effectively developed for automobile and electrical applications.

The computer aided tools and recent developments of engineering, emphasizes the importance of bringing manufacturing process into early stage for product and process design. The implied significance is that it becomes vital to reduce cost of product by extensive use of CAD tools for product formation without actually building the product. In this paper, CAD tools are used to design an extrusion die for bolt ejector pin. In this paper, the extrusion die used to produce the pin is modeled using Pro-E, a CAD tool. Then, the die is analyzed for the maximum extrusion load condition using ANSYS software, a Finite Element Analysis simulation (FEA) tool. The simulation results are compared with yield stress of material. After the die has been designed, the pin was extruded using the die. In order to evaluate the strength of extruded pin, the pin was also modeled and analyzed using ANSYS tool where it was found to be safe for its maximum ejection load condition.Keywords:Extrusiondiedesign,ejectorpin,Computeraidedmodelling(CAD),FiniteElementAnalysis(FEA).
