Abstract Background The shoulder complex with its varied pathology responds differently from patient to patient and so, the best option for progression is a choice of rehabilitation. In the present post-COVID scenario, many patients are referred to acute and sub-acute shoulder pain and dysfunction. It is very difficult to predict the outcome of therapy. Some patients recover even without any modalities. Recurrent or adverse symptoms are also possible. Gender, other demographic features, physiological response, and progressive outcome need to be considered in rehabilitation. This study is intended to evaluate the short-term effects of hydrotherapy post-intra-articular injections of shoulder dysfunctions. Aims and objectives To evaluate the effectiveness of hydrotherapy during early rehabilitation of individuals who have undergone intra-articular injections of shoulder joint on pain and function. Materials and methods In this prospective study, we have studied a total of 59 cases within the age group of 40–70 years with idiopathic frozen shoulder, acromio-clavicular joint dysfunction, and grade-1 untreated rotator cuff injuries. Group A patients were treated with conventional shoulder exercises and group B patients were treated in a hydrotherapy pool. The chief aim was to obtain earlier pain relief with controlled movement patterns and earlier relief from functional disability. The Constant-Murley score (CMS–100 points scale) composing pain and functional parameters was the outcome measure. Abstract Phishing websites are cybercrimes that aim to collect confidential data, including bank card numbers, bank accounts, and credentials. To detect phishing sites, specialists must extract the elements of the websites and utilize third-party resources. One of the drawbacks of these methods is that identifying phishing characteristics takes a lot of effort and knowledge. Second, the recognition of phishing websites is delayed when third-party services are used. A novel detecting system Improved Weighted Quantum Particle Swarm Optimisation (IWQPSO) and Fast Mask Recurrent Convolutional Neural Network (FMRCNN) proposed to strengthen and empower the technique of identifying phishing URLs. The proposed model does not require the retrieval of target website content or the use of any third-party services. Phishing attacks continue to pose significant cyber-security threats, particularly through deceptive URLs. This study proposes a novel approach to enhance phishing-URL prediction using a hybrid methodology. The method integrates an IWQPSO-FMRCNN. The IWQPSO algorithm is leveraged to optimize the weights and parameters of the FMRCNN model, enhancing its performance in distinguishing between legitimate and phishing URLs. By combining the strengths of evolutionary optimization and deep learning, the proposed approach aims to achieve higher accuracy 99.3%, precision 94.6%, F1-Score 96.7%, Recall 98.2% and AUC score 97.9% in detecting phishing URLs compared to existing methods. Experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed hybrid method in improving phishing-URL prediction performance, providing a promising avenue for enhancing cyber-security measures against online threats.

The present research computes the impact of process parameters of squeeze casting on AA8011/Si3N4/ZrO2 Hybrid Metal Matrix Composites (HMMCs). The melting temperatures (700 to 800°C), Si3N4 + ZrO2 (5 to 15 wt.%) and stirring speed (550 to 750 rpm) were selected as parameters for input. The AA8011 HMMCs were fabricated as per the combination of L9 input parameters, and they were subjected to Energy Dispersive X Ray Analysis (EDAX) and Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) tests to compute the presence of wt.% of matrix and reinforcements and to confirm the uniform distribution of Si3N4 + ZrO2 in matrix AA8011. Besides, fabricated composites were subjected to tensile and micro hardness test after subjecting to Salt spray test (3.5% NaCl, 120 hours exposing duration and 1.2 kg/cm2 spray pressure) for computing the Ultimate Tensile Strength (UTS) and micro hardness. The Grey Relational Analysis (GRA) was employed for optimizing process parameters of squeeze casting on AA8011 based composites. The EDAX test results confirms that the increasing wt.% of silicon nitride and zirconium dioxide reinforcements enhances the presence of elements such as Si, N, Zr and O in manufactured composites. The higher dense reinforcements are uniformly distributed in the matrix AA8011 at the blend of input parameters of AA8011 composite. Based on the Taguchi approach, the medium level of melting temperature (750°C), higher level of wt.% of Si3N4 and ZrO2 reinforcements (15 wt.%) and higher level for speed of stirring (750 rpm) is the optimized combination parameters of squeeze casting for UTS and microhardness are identified. Based on the GRA technique, the influencing sequence are identified for squeeze casting process parameters are wt.% of Si3N4 + ZrO2 reinforcements, stirring speed and melting temperature for both UTS and Micro hardness. The contribution percentage of melting temperature, wt.% of reinforcements and stirring speed are 20.26%, 48.102% and 29.23% respectively. The confirmation test was done for optimized input parameters and it exhibit 56% higher UTS and 48.2% higher micro hardness of than AA8011 matrix material.

Abstract Background The main source of daily energy requirement in Asian societies is basal metabolic rate (BMR). Even though the reason for this fluctuation is debatable, prior research have shown that BMR is highly varied in individuals. All studies concur that variation in fat-free mass (FFM) is important, although the effects of fat mass (FM), age, sex, and the hormones leptin, triiodothyronine (T3), and thyroxine (T4) are still unknown. Objective The main objectives of the study are as follows: • To evaluate the basal metabolic rate among healthy individuals • To identify the risk factors on basal metabolic rate among healthy individuals Methodology In total, 50 individuals were consecutively enrolled in the study during the entrepreneurship studio on 29th June 2022 held at Garden City University (GCU). The inclusion criteria were age between 18 and 50 years, both males and females, students and professors of GCU, and healthy individuals. The exclusion criteria were subjects who had overt metabolic and/or endocrine diseases (e.g., diabetes, hypothyroidism, hypertension, amenorrhea) and those taking any drug known to influence energy metabolism. The convenient samples of 50 subjects were taken from this study. Outcome measures Basal metabolic rate (BMR) and body mass index (BMI). Results The demographic data, height, weight, BMI, and BMR were recorded. The mean and standard deviation of age are 25.81 ± 8.71 and 23.95 ± 6.67 of males and females, respectively. The mean and standard deviation of height are 1.68 ± 0.68 and 1.63 ± 0.07, respectively. The mean and standard deviation for weight are 63.8 ± 11.49 and 54.86 ± 10.43, respectively. The mean and standard deviation of BMI are males and females which are 22.3 ± 3.22 and 20.47 ± 3.62, respectively. The mean and standard deviation of BMR are males and females which are 1552.41 ± 127.3 and 1327.7 ± 147.9. Conclusion The energy used up while lying still at rest and being awake during the nocturnal postabsorptive state is known as the basal metabolic rate (BMR). The values can be used as a reference for comparison with the normative values, and cardiorespiratory endurance training can be included in the rehabilitation program.

The investigation found that the incorporation of MoS2 particles as reinforcement in Al–4% Mg material results in an increase in density and microhardness. The composite with 4% Mg and 6% MoS2 exhibited the highest percentage increase in the density up to 8.04%, and the highest percentage increase in the microhardness value of up to 33% as compared to the pure Aluminium. The pin-on-disc wear test revealed that the wear loss of the Al–Mg alloy is reduced by adding MoS2 particles as reinforcement. The wear loss decreases by 16.03% for the composite with 4% Mg and 6% MoS2. SEM analysis showed that the composite with higher MoS2 content (6%) exhibits a smoother worn surface. However, WEDM machining of the composite materials at higher levels of peak current, pulse on time, and gap voltage resulted in poor surface quality with more craters and micro voids. The sliding distance (m) was found to be the most significant parameter for wear output parameters, contributing to 57.05%–59.08% of the materials in samples 1 to 5. Similarly, the pulse on time (μs) was the most significant parameter for WEDM output parameters, contributing 46.29%–80.33% for the materials in samples 1 to 5. The study concluded that the PM route is an effective method for producing Al–Mg–MoS2 composites, which can improve the wear resistance of the Al–Mg alloy, and that WEDM parameters need to be optimized to achieve a better surface finish.

Background: The micro-sieves filter out the suspended solid particles and microorganisms from the sample fluids such as water, blood samples, etc. Water is the most essential element among all the natural resources. It gets polluted as it flows and comes in contact with the atmosphere or earth’s surface. The reduction of suspended particles such as iron, manganese and chemical oxygen dissolved in the water makes it potable Micro-sieves are microfiltration membranes with uniformly patterned pores of size in the range of 0.1–50 µm. Objectives: The main objective of the study was to analyze the three-stage microfiltration using COMSOL 4.3a with micro-sieves of pore size as low as 0.1 μm in the third stage. Methods: This study involves finite element analysis performed using the COMSOL Multiphysics® software package. Modeling of a three-step microfiltration process utilizing micro-sieves with pore sizes as small as 0.1 m has been demonstrated. Results: Particles that are smaller than the pores of the membranes are retained on the surface of the membrane. The filtration efficacy against dissolved solids, removal of turbidity and microorganisms is determined by the size of the pores in the membranes. The changes in pressure and velocity are studied at the output of each microfiltration membrane. The pressure has decreased by 2 mPa and the velocity has increased by 0.13 µm/s after the third stage of filtration demonstrating the removal of microorganisms. Conclusion: The findings of the finite element analysis performed by the COMSOL multiphysics® program has provided us with the option to develop these devices using microfluidic mixers and microsieves.

An attempt was taken to study the wear rate of coated Inconel 625 using 0.3 gm of multiwall carbon tubes (MWCNT).The coating was carried out by the Ni-P electroless coating method. The Ni-P-MWCNT coating was prepared by using nickel phosphorous solution. The sliding wear test was conducted using pin on discs tribometer. The wear rate behavior was investigated at various levels of pin on discs tribometer factors, and a predictive model was developed using regression equations. The wear test experiment was carried out based on the L27 orthogonal array. The wear process parameters load, sliding velocity, and sliding distance were chosen. It was observed that the rate of wear increased as the load increases, whereas increase in sliding velocity and sliding distance reduces the rate of wear. The developed regression model was validated with the measured wear rate. The percentage error was observed within 0.99%.

The presence of harmonics in solar Photo Voltaic (PV) energy conversion system results in deterioration of power quality. To address such issue, this paper aims to investigate the elimination of harmonics in a solar fed cascaded fifteen level inverter with aid of Proportional Integral (PI), Artificial Neural Network (ANN) and Fuzzy Logic (FL) based controllers. Unlike other techniques, the proposed FLC based approach helps in obtaining reduced harmonic distortions that intend to an enhancement in power quality. In addition to the power quality improvement, this paper also proposed to provide output voltage regulation in terms of maintaining voltage and frequency at the inverter output end in compatible with the grid connection requirements. The simulations are performed in the MATLAB/Simulink environment for solar fed cascaded 15 level inverter incorporating PI, ANN and FL based controllers. To exhibit the proposed technique, a 3 kWp photovoltaic plant coupled to multilevel inverter is designed and hardware is demonstrated. All the three techniques are experimentally investigated with the measurement of power quality metrics along with establishing output voltage regulation.

In recent days, additive manufacturing (AM) plays a vital role in manufacturing a component compared to subtractive manufacturing. AM has a wide advantage in producing complex parts and revolutionizing logistics panorama worldwide. Many researchers compared this emerging manufacturing methodology with the conventional methodology and found that it helps in meeting the demand, designing highly complex components, and reducing wastage of materials, and there are a wide variety of AM processes. The process of making the components in full use of technology with several manufacturing applications to meet the above is studied along with the properties of AM, and subsequently, the advantages of AM over the subtractive methods are described. In this paper, the achievements in this manner with considerable gains are studied and are concluded as a paradigm shift to fulfil the AM potential.

Composite fiber reinforcement is one such proficient material that substitutes for useful applications for conventional and polyester blends where little weight and thus less energy conservation is required. This study highlighted the importance of recently discovered Agave Angustifolia marginated (AAM) fibers extracted by a manual process from AAM plants. This paper observes the various properties of the mechanical and moisture intake characteristics of AAM fiber and compares these to other naturally occurring fibers. Using isophthalic polyester resin, the mixed chopped AAM fiber-reinforced composite is prepared and detailed preparation techniques are presented. During physical composite testing, fiber pull-outs on the broken samples were investigated. Additionally, the experimental evidence demonstrates that increasing the volume fraction helps to increase the tensile, bending, and modulus of the AAM fiber composite. The chopped fiber isophthalic polyester reinforcement reaches its improved tensile strength and modulus at a 25% Vf about the 20 mm length of the fiber.

The aim of this investigation is to optimize the process parameters to obtain minimum corrosion rate and weight loss of Al/SiCp metal matrix composites. A Taguchi based grey relation analysis was carried out. The process parameters such as number of hours dipped in 3% NaCl solution, vol.% of SiCp and aging at 170°C for hours were considered. The working range of each process parameters were fixed based on minimum weight loss and low corrosion rate. The test was carried out using Taguchi based grey relationship analysis. Three factor three level L9 orthogonal array was used and output responses such as weight loss and corrosion rate were calculated. Based on the grey relationship analysis, the rank of each process parameters was calculated. Based on the F value, the vol. % of SiCp (38.42%) on the metal matrix composite followed by number of hours samples immersed in 3% NaCl solution (35.3%) and aging at 170°C for hours (25.78%) were found as influencing parameters on corrosion rate and weight loss. The surface of corroded samples was investigated and reported.

Hybridization of meta-heuristic algorithms plays a major role in the optimization problem. In this paper, a new hybrid meta-heuristic algorithm called hybrid pathfinder algorithm (HPFA) is proposed to solve the optimal reactive power dispatch (ORPD) problem. The superiority of the Differential Evolution (DE) algorithm is the fast convergence speed, a mutation operator in the DE algorithm incorporates into the pathfinder algorithm (PFA). The main objective of this research is to minimize the real power losses and subject to equality and inequality constraints. The HPFA is used to find optimal control variables such as generator voltage magnitude, transformer tap settings and capacitor banks. The proposed HPFA is implemented through several simulation cases on the IEEE 118-bus system and IEEE 300-bus power system. Results show the superiority of the proposed algorithm with good quality of optimal solutions over existing optimization techniques, and hence confirm its potential to solve the ORPD problem.

Tracking a target is an essential function of a seeker for missiles. The target tracking mechanism of a seeker consists of gimbals, mounted with gyroscopes, and an antenna or some other energy receiving devices such as radar, infrared (IR), or laser. Stabilization of such a gimbal is necessary for any guided missile to maintain the tracking device always pointing towards the target. For the stabilization of the gimbal system, several control methods have been employed for making the gimbal to follow an input rate command by eliminating all the gimbal disturbances. Here, a new self-tuning fuzzy logic-based proportional, integral, derivative (PID) controller is introduced for the stabilization of a two-axis gimbal for a manoeuvring guided missile. The proposed control method involves tuning the gains of the PID controller based on the fuzzy logic rule bases considering the missile body rotation. The performance of the stabilization loops has been verified through MATLAB simulations for fuzzy logic-based PID controller compared with the conventional PID controller. The simulation results show the response of the gimbal system with stabilization loops met the control requirements with fuzzy PID controllers but not with conventional PID controllers.

Green machining strategies in the manufacturing sector help to maintain the product value by considering the environmental impacts. Also, improvisation in the quality contribution of the parts can minimize the environmental consequences by improving resource efficiency, specifically in terms of coolants used in machining. Certain hazardous impacts have been witnessed because of longer exposure to such a machining environment. To address it, many researchers have concentrated on providing a healthy machining environment either by introducing dry machining or by minimum quantity lubrication (MQL). The proposed study addresses this context. The influence of these tactics on the attained surface quality of Al-6063 is quantified in this paper in terms of surface integrity (Ra) and removal rate of material (MRR). The study involves single-response optimization using the Taguchi design and multiresponse optimization using grey relational analysis (GRA). The results reveal that the depth of cut (Dc) and spindle speed (Ss) have the greatest impact on Ra and MRR. The machinability of Al-6063 is examined by considering the key machinability parameters, such as the spindle speed (Ss), feed rate (Fr), and the depth of cut (Dc), to arrive at the best possible surface roughness and removal rate of the material. As a typical Taguchi approach cannot perform multiresponse optimization, grey relational analysis is used. The grey relational analysis combined with Taguchi gives a novel methodology for multioptimization. The entire study is performed in dry condition and under minimum quantity lubrication. The results suggest that the responses are highly influenced by the depth of cut and spindle speed.

The uses of recycled materials have gained massive importance in the textile sector and other application areas as the effects of reducing natural resources are felt worldwide. This study aimed to analyze the effects of recycled fiber usage on the properties of OE-rotor spun yarns and hand-woven fabrics produced from these yarns. For this purpose, OE-rotor yarns are produced at different proportion levels from virgin cotton and recycled fibers derived from knitted garment wastes at 25%, 50%, and 75%, respectively. For a better assessment, properties of OE-rotor yarns that contain recycled fibers and 100% virgin cotton OE-rotor yarns are compared. Physical, structural, and mechanical properties such as unevenness, imperfections, hairiness, breaking force, and elongation are analyzed by Uster Tester 5 SX, Uster Zweigle Hairiness Tester 5, and Uster Tensorapid 3. Plain and twill hand-woven fabrics are produced from OE-rotor spun yarns. Effects of recycled fiber proportion on hand-woven fabric properties such as pilling, abrasion resistance, and air permeability were also evaluated. Results showed that the use of up to 75% of recycled fiber cotton blended yarns shows no statistically significant differences in yarn and fabric properties.

The effective utilization of fibers from natural sources is the main objective of this research work, but natural fibers alone are not meeting the required strength properties. The objective of this study focuses on the experimental study of composites developed from bagasse fiber/bamboo charcoal for technical applications by investigating its diverse mechanical and thermal insulating properties. For this investigation, five hybrid composites with bagasse fiber/bamboo charcoal proportions of 100%/0%, 70%/30%, 50%/50%, 30%/70%, and 0%/100% with 65% polyurethane foam in all by using compression molding technique and their mechanical properties are evaluated experimentally under the ASTM standards. The fiber alignments, internal crack, and binding properties are checked by morphological test. It is observed that the tensile strength of sugarcane bagasse/charcoal composites produces 255.80 MPa which is approximately the same strength (260.10 MPa) as artificial fiber composites. The bagasse fiber/bamboo charcoal 30/70-based composites show a higher thermal insulation coefficient than the other four samples-reinforced composites. The impact and flexural strength of the 30/70 sample are higher than those of other samples. The results obtained report the possibility of exploitation of natural fiber sugarcane bagasse and bamboo charcoal for the production of reinforcements based on composites with good mechanical and thermal characteristics to utilize as automotive interior materials in component systems.

The manufacturing sectors are consistently striving to figure out ways to minimize the consumption of natural resources through rational utilization. This is achieved by a proper understanding of every minute influence of parameters on the entire process. Understanding the influencing parameters in determining the machining process efficacy is inevitable. Technological advancement has drastically improved the machining process through various means by providing better quality products with minimum machining cost and energy consumption. Specifically, the machining factors such as cutting speed, spindle speed, depth of cut, rate of feed, and coolant flow rate are found to be the governing factors in determining the economy of the machining process. This study is focused on improving the machining economy by enhancing the surface integrity and tool life with minimum resources. The study is carried out on low-carbon mold steel (UNS T51620) using Box–Behnken design and grey regression analysis. The optimized multiobjective solution for surface roughness (Ra), material removal rate (MRR), and power consumed (Pc) and tool life is determined and validated through the confirmatory run. The optimized set of parameters in Box–Behnken design and grey regression analysis with that of confirmatory runs shows a 10% deviation that proves the reliability of the optimization techniques employed.

This cross-sectional study investigates the relationship between entrepreneurship education, social media use, and entrepreneurial intentions among students from various disciplines. The study aims to contribute to the existing knowledge on entrepreneurship education by evaluating the mediating role of social media use between entrepreneurship education and intention. The study collects data from 248 students through an online survey and analyses it using the partial least squares (PLSs) method. The study finds a link between entrepreneurship education and students' interest in starting their own businesses. Students who use social media more frequently also have higher entrepreneurial intentions. The study also implies that the entrepreneurship education that students receive on social media can affect how they use social media for entrepreneurial purposes.

Experimental investigation is carried out under different loading conditions in a three cylinder diesel engine with its piston crown coated with Yttria Stabilized Zirconia (YSZ) to understand the influence of the thermal barrier coating (TBC) on performance and emission characteristics in comparison with baseline engine characteristics. YSZ is chosen as the candidate material for coating the piston crown because of its desirable physical properties such as high coefficient of thermal expansion, low thermal conductivity, high Poisson’s ratio, and stable phase structure at higher temperature conditions. For the measurement of emission characteristics, ISO 8178-4 “C1” 8 Mode testing cycle procedure is followed. Experimental results revealed that the heat loss to the cooling water is reduced up to 5–10% and the thermal efficiency is increased by 3–5% with reduction of brake specific fuel consumption by up to 28.29%. Experimental results also revealed that Hydro carbon (HC) emission is reduced up to 35.17%, carbon monoxide (CO) by up to 2.72% and Carbon di-oxide (CO2) emission is increased by up to 5.6%.

Three Ethyl methansulphonate (EMS)-induced stay-green mutants (SGM-1, SGM-2 and SGM-3) and their wild-type (WT), were tested for their Stay-Green (SG) and drought tolerance nature as the relation between these two attributes is not yet established in rice. In the dark induced senescence assay, SGM-3 showed delayed senescence while SGM-1 and SGM-2 showed complete lack of senescence. Mutants showed stable transcript abundance over time, for 15 candidate genes (CGs) associated with senescence, compared to the WT. SGM-3 however showed moderately increasing transcript abundance over time for ATG6a, ATG4a, NYC1, NOL and NYC3. Only SGM-3 performed better than the WT for yield and harvest index under well irrigated as well as drought conditions, though all the mutants showed better performance for other agronomic traits under both the conditions and ascorbate peroxidase activity under drought. Thus, SG trait showed positive correlation with drought tolerance though only SGM-3 could convert this into higher harvest index. Sequence analysis of 80 senescence-associated genes including the 15 CGs showed non-synonymous mutations in four and six genes in SGM-1 and SGM-2 respectively, while no SNPs were found in SGM-3. Analysis of the earlier reported Quantitative Trait Loci (QTL) regions in SGM-3 revealed negligible variations from WT, suggesting it to be a novel SG mutant.

Environmental eco-friendly condensation of carboxylic acids with alcohols proceeded smoothly to afford esters, by using the combination of a novel l-valine amido ethyl methyl imidazolium bromide [l-Vaemim]Br and DBU, under solvent free condition. This method features reusability of catalyst and reduced waste discharge.

The objective of this study was to develop a sustained release dosage form of Trimetazidine dihydrochloride (TMZ) using a natural polymeric carrier prepared in a completely aqueous environment. TMZ was entrapped in calcium alginate beads prepared with sodium alginate by the ionotropic gelation method using calcium chloride as a crosslinking agent. The drug was incorporated either into preformed calcium alginate gel beads (sequential method) or incorporated simultaneously during the gelation stage (simultaneous method). The beads were evaluated for particle size and surface morphology using optical microscopy and SEM, respectively. Beads produced by the sequential method had higher drug entrapment. Drug entrapment in the sequential method was higher with increased CaCl2 and polymer concentration but lower with increased drug concentration. In the simultaneous method, drug entrapment was higher when polymer and drug concentration were increased and also rose to a certain extent with increase in CaCl2 concentration, where further increase resulted in lower drug loading. FTIR studies revealed that there is no interaction between drug and CaCl2. XRD studies showed that the crystalline drug changed to an amorphous state after formulation. Release characteristics of the TMZ loaded calcium alginate beads were studied in enzyme-free simulated gastric and intestinal fluid.O objetivo deste estudo foi desenvolver forma de liberação controlada de dicloridrato de trimetazidina (TMZ) utilizando transportador plomérico natural em ambiente completamente aquoso. A TMZ foi presa em pérolas de alginato de cálcio preparadas com alginato de sódio pelo método de gelatinização ionotrópica, usando cloreto de cálcio como agente de formação de ligações cruzadas. O fármaco foi incorporado nas pérolas de gel de alginato de cálcio (método sequencial) ou incorporado, simultaneamente, durante o estágio de gelificação (método simultâneo). As pérolas foram avaliadas quanto ao tamanho das partículas e morfologia da superfície utilizando microscopia óptica de SEM, respectivamente. As pérolas produzidas pelo método sequencial apresentaram maior capacidade de inclusão. No método sequencial, a inclusão de fármaco foi maior com o aumento de CaCl2 e da concentração do plímero, mas menor com o aumento da concentração de fármaco. No método simultâneo, a inclusão de fármaco foi mais alta quando as concentrações de fármaco e plímero foram aumentadas e, também, atingiram certa extensão com aumento na concentração de CaCl2, cujo aumento posterior resultou em carga menor de fármaco. Although the positive effect of Person-Organization fit (P-O fit) on work attitudes is well known, research into the environmental factors that affect P-O fit’s salience in predicting work attitudes is in its infancy. This study examined the moderating effects of organizational culture in the relationship between P-O fit and work attitudes such as job satisfaction, and organizational commitment in the national culture context. Results from a sample of 173 managerial-level employees from 7 organizations in India suggest that organizational culture either strengthens or weakens the positive relationship between P-O fit and work attitudes depending upon its alignment with national culture. In the Indian cultural context, it is found that people and control-oriented organizational cultures that are isomorphic with national culture weaken the relationship between P-O fi t and work attitudes. Whereas creation and market-oriented cultures that are non-isomorphic with Indian national culture strengthen the positive relationship between P-O fi t and work attitudes. Results of this study have implications in employee selection, socialization and organizational culture management. Background: Sciatic nerve irritation caused by the piriformis muscle, which results in Buttock pain, sciatica, or both is known as piriformis syndrome. The prevalence of PS with sciatic nerve piercing is 17% and 81% respectively, while it was present in 17.2% suffering from low back discomfort. Purpose: The purpose of this study is to find the effectiveness of interferential therapy with hip muscle strengthening exercises and ultrasound therapy with hip muscle strengthening exercises for piriformis syndrome. Materials and Methods: About 220 participants were selected by using FAIR test and visual analogue scale on inclusion and exclusion criteria. Written informed consent was collected before the commencement of the study. The 220 participants were allocated into 2 groups. Interferential therapy group (n=110) and ultrasound therapy group (n=110). Interferential therapy group were given interferential therapy with hip muscle strengthening exercises and the ultrasound therapy group were given ultrasound therapy with hip muscle strengthening exercises. The intervention was given 5 times a week for a total duration of 2 weeks. Study Period: October 2022-June 2023. Results: The collected data was statistically analyzed using paired and unpaired t test, when comparing the Interferential therapy group to the ultrasound therapy, the Interferential therapy group indicates significant effects P<0.0001 in piriformis syndrome, as assessed by VAS. Conclusion: This study concluded that the Interferential therapy group was found to be more effective than the ultrasound therapy group in patients with Piriformis Syndrome. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Background: In hand treatment assessments, hand grip strengths are utilized as a measure of strength. For all occupations, having a strong grip is a necessary requirement for success. Differences in the nature of the work, the workplace, and the things that professionals handle may be responsible for these behaviors. A good hand grip is highly helpful in a variety of hand-intensive occupations like physiotherapy and dentistry. Musculoskeletal disorders, especially in the hand and wrist region, are common and have a great impact on work life. Purpose: The need for this study is to evaluate and compare the differences in hand grip strength between physiotherapy and dental students and to see if clinical training for physiotherapy students and dental students will have an impact on their hand grip strength. Materials and methods: 100 subjects were selected from Saveetha Institute of Medical and Technical Sciences based on the selection criteria where 50 subjects were physiotherapy students(interns) and 50 subjects were dental students(interns). The hand grip strength of the subjects was assessed with the help of a hand dynamometer and the measurements were recorded. The entire study was conducted from November 2022 to March 2023. Result: The results of this study shows that there was a difference between both the groups and that physiotherapy students have better hand grip when compared to the dental students. Conclusion: The results and the data obtained from this research concluded that grip strength of physiotherapy students is more than that of dental students. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
