The physicochemical calculations of the required amount of the GTT grade goptalum catalyst of ozone decomposition and the pressure drop on the catalyst bed under the operating conditions of the gas systems of particle accelerators were presented. The results of calculations were compared with the experimental data obtained in the gas system of the ATLAS detector unit of the Large Hadron Collider. The obtained physicochemical data make it possible to optimize the parameters of ozone filter destructors and the amount of catalyst required for purification of gas mixtures from ozone in detector units of accelerators.

The authors use Kuzbass as the example to study strategic approach and methodology of choosing and implementing vanguard (perspective) physicochemical and biological technologies for water treatment plants. They also examine the requirements for purification and disinfection of drinking and waste waters under present conditions characterized by increased anthropogenic loads. These procedures should be carried out with controlling a number of new types of dangerous contaminants. Currently there is no provision for systematic analysis of their presence in water sources before and after their treatment. The authors study the interrelation between forecasting, strategizing, target programming, project management of planning and realization of the priority of implementation of vanguard physicochemical and biological technologies of vanguard physicochemical and biological technologies for water treatment at the water supply and drainage utilities. In the strategic study the authors adduce the overview of perspective trends of development of vanguard physicochemical and biological technologies and the examples of their technical realization which allow fulfilling the strategy’s priority under study within the set of priorities “Development strategy of life supply systems (water supply and water waste). Water utilities as “green economy” translators”. The article studies the levels of water quality control as well as common approaches to building regional water quality control centres and implementing online water quality control. The authors adduce the main competitive advantages that the Kemerovo region possesses to fulfill the priority. Strategizing of the implementation of vanguard physicochemical and biological technologies will provide the opportunity for realizing long-term (up to 15 years long) target programs in water supply and drainage areas in order to improve the performance of water industry.

This monograph proposes strategic transformations in the environmental sphere based on a transition to the principles of a green economy and on the implementation of modern technologies in order to protect and improve the state of the environment, preserve natural resources, and improve the quality of life in Russia and around the world. The proposals contained herein seeks to develop citizens' ecological culture, as well as to encourage and guide businesses to pursue working with green methodology. The principles of conservation of water and forest resources, the recreational role of specially protected natural areas, as well as the development of ecological tourism are considered.

The underground struggle of the Soviet patriots during the years of the occupation of Crimea (1941– 1944), despite a certain range of studies, is nevertheless extremely poorly studied by historians. A special place in this is the clarification of the process of formation and deployment of the underground in the initial period, complex relationships with the local population and various structures of partisans and state security bodies. This article discusses the main activities for the preparation of the underground struggle, the reasons for omissions and achievements, and, as a result, the deployment of underground activities only by mid-1942. Particularly noted is the connection between the underground and partisan intelligence, the activities of the undercover apparatus of the state security of Crimea. In general, despite the shortcomings indicated in the article, thanks to the focused activities of the organizers in the partisan forest, the Crimean underground in the first half of 1942 became an important component of the resistance movement on the peninsula.

The collective monograph "Conceptual Future of Kuzbass Region: Strategic Outlines of Development Priorities until 2071 (50-year Perspective)" presents strategic initiatives aimed at creating a better life for Kuzbass residents in the 50-years perspective. For this purpose, we justified strategic priorities of restoring the environment and natural resources efficient using, improving the urban environment, developing infrastructure and new industries in the region, and promoting Kuzbass products to foreign markets.

The collective monograph "Strategizing of Kuzbass Region water resources" proposes strategic directions for the efficient use of water resources and ensuring the strategic security of the region's most important life support system in the long term, primarily through the development of water supply and sanitation systems aimed at achieving the key goal of improving the level and quality of life of the population Kuzbass Region.

The paper considers the development of a prototype of a user identification system by face. The system uses face recognition technology built on base points. Neural networks and machine learning methods are used for development of this system. The system is designed using principal component analysis, support vector machine classifier and deep artificial neural networks. We have developed a user-friendly interface. The system has been verified on test images and has been shown sufficient accuracy for identifying people by their photos.

The work describes the developed imitative model of manufacturing process on the example of control unit, specifically a plate, and testing of its performance. The process of model development is performed in AnyLogic software. Authors demonstrate modeling results and formulate manufacturing process optimization recommendations on its basis. The article shows expediency of imitative model applying for checkout of technological operations.

This article is a continuation of a series of works on the study and modelling of the production process of the Roman snail (Helix pomatia L.). The paper considers the applicability of three models for simulating the average weight of groups of Roman snails based on the values of environmental parameters, snail’s ration and specific factors characteristic of molluscs. The main focus of the simulation is on two models: RIDGE and LASSO regression. It is proved that RIDGE regression gives the best results in modelling. The combination of qualitative and quantitative parameters (air temperature, relative humidity, nutrition and some specific factors characteristic of molluscs) is sufficient for modelling the production process of Roman snail.

In this research, the ozonation–sorption technology for water purification to remove trichloroethylene and tetrachloroethylene is presented. Physical and chemical (kinetic) parameters of consecutive ozonation and sorption of trichloroethylene and tetrachloroethylene from water are determined. The optimum technological parameters of this method for the purification of water from trichloroethylene and tetrachloroethylene are developed. R&D were carried out using water from 12 underground wells nearby Podolsk, Moscow region (Russia).

Coefficients of ozone solubility R t at pH values ranging from 0.1 to 11 are defined. The value of R t in a pH range from 2 to 6 is 0.3 ± 0.1. A decrease in Rt below the specified range is associated with the decay of ozone. The mechanisms of ozone decomposition in alkaline and acidic media are analyzed. Ozone solutions in acidic media are the most resistant.

This paper deals with the technology of ozonation together with sorption on activated carbons (AC) and its compliance with 12 principles of green chemistry. The report also provides an illustrative example of a drinking water treatment station with a capacity of 160 m3/h which purifies underground water from ions of iron by using ozone sorption technology and 12 principles of green chemistry. R&D, design, construction, and maintenance of the station are described. Our company LLC NVF ‘TIMIS’ was the first to propose an environmentally friendly method of disposal of residual products after purification of water by using them as components in the catalyst decomposition of ozone. The research work at Lomonosov Moscow State University has shown that ozonation with AC sorption technology reduces the concentration of total iron from 1.28 to 0.03 mg/L, reduces color grade and turbidity, provides disinfection and deodorization of water, and oxidizes organic and ions of iron more effectively than the oxidation of water by air or oxygen. This technology has successfully purified more than 8,000,000 m3 of underground water for the last 8 years.

The oxidation of manganese ions is shown to occur in ozone decomposition on manganese-containing catalyst, leading to the deactivation of a sample. The structure of the iron-containing catalyst does not change, ensuring its high stability during ozone decomposition in a dry gas flow at room temperature, conducted in the region of inner diffusion with an activation energy of 15.5 ± 0.7 kJ/mol. The presence of manganese cations in the intermediate stages of reduction is found to increase their activity in the reaction of deep methane oxidation.

Gas dynamic characteristics of commercial catalysts used in steam reforming and pollution-free catalysis have been investigated. Data that make it possible to predict the catalyst behavior under production conditions are represented. The optimal geometrical characteristics of the catalysts have been identified.

Effective ozone decomposition catalysts were created on the basis of iron oxides as side products from natural water treated with ozone at water treatment plants. Iron oxide catalysts doped with manganese oxide are by 40% more active in benzene oxidation. These iron-manganese catalysts can be recommended for industrial manufacture by the designed technologies and application in ozone decomposition and benzene oxidation processes.

A procedure was developed for the modification of the manganese-oxide catalyst hopcalite GFG allowing the new quality, water resistance of granules, to be reached. This procedure can be used for the reactivation of the exhausted catalytic contact.

The authors have investigated the equilibrated adsorption of water vapors on GFG hopcalite, which was obtained using the extrusion shaping method, with bentonite clay as the binding compound. In the frames of the BET model, the values of the monolayer capacity and the size of medium area occupied by the water molecule in the filled monolayer have been determined. The distribution of pores according to their sizes has been evaluated. It has been established that the modification of the bentonitic clay allows directed construction of the hopcalite porous structure,i.e. the formation of the mesoporous structure with a narrow distribution of the pores capacities by sizes, which was achieved varying the sizes of binding compound particles.

Cement-containing catalysts of ozone decomposition were synthesized on the basis of iron oxides obtained by ozonation of iron-containing aqueous solutions. X-ray diffraction analysis and Mossbauer spectroscopy showed that α-Fe2O3 occurs in the catalyst as highly dispersed nanoparticles. The catalysts obtained are efficient in the reaction of ozone decomposition and are as active as the best representatives of cement-containing catalysts of the GTT type.

The authors make an analysis of main organizational measures which could considerably improve results of the surgical treatment of cholecystites. Good organization of active detection of the patients during prophylactic examinations and consultations with physicians, directed sanitary-instructive work among population and dispensary examinations play the leading role in sanitation of patients with diseases of bile ducts.
