Мета роботи: визначення мікроскопічних діагностичних ознак підземних органів катрану коктебельського (C. koktebelica (Junge) N. Busch). Матеріали і методи. Мікропрепарати кореня готували зі свіжозібраної, фіксованої в суміші етанол-гліцерин-вода очищена (1:1:1) та висушеної, а потім розмоченої сировини. Анатомічну будову вивчали на препаратах із поверхні та поперечних зрізах, які робили за загальноприйнятою методикою. Використовували світловий мікроскоп «БІОЛАМ ЛОМО» (Росія) при збільшенні у 80, 120, 160, 400, 600 та 800 разів. Отримані дані фіксували цифровою фотокамерою OLYMPUS SH – 21. Фотографії обробляли за допомогою комп’ютерної програми «Adobe Photoshop CS3». Результати й обговорення. Анатомічна будова кореня. Корінь на поперечному зрізі округлої форми. Перидерма представлена 2–4 шарами паренхімних клітин. Добре розвинута корова паренхіма, яка утворена паренхімними тонкостінними клітинами. У коренях другого і наступних років серед клітин корової паренхіми зустрічаються невеликі скупчення склереїд, які відсутні в коренях першого року. Тип будови центрального циліндра безпучковий. Камбій добре помітний. Запасною речовиною кореня картану коктебельського є крохмаль, а в оболонках судин первинної та вторинної ксилеми – білок. Анатомічна будова видозміни кореня (стеблекорінь, каудекс). Осьовий орган на поперечному зрізі округлої форми. Покривна тканина – багатошарова епідерма, клітини якої паренхімні, товстостінні. Опушення рідке, представлене простими одноклітинними волосками. Добре розвинена корова паренхіма, яка складається з паренхімних тонкостінних клітин. У коровій частині зустрічаються луб’яні волокна. Центральний осьовий циліндр безпучкової будови, камбій добре виражений. Домінуюча тканина ксилеми – лібриформ. Серцевина виражена, виповнена. Клітини корової паренхіми та серцевини накопичують крохмаль у вигляді простих крохмальних зерен, оболонки клітин судин та деяких клітин серцевини – білок. Висновки. Досліджено анатомічну будову підземних органів катрану коктебельського (коренів і стеблокореня) та виявлено основні мікроскопічні діагностичні ознаки, які будуть використані для розробки методів контролю якості на нову лікарську рослинну сировину. Діагностичними ознаками кореня є: скупчення склереїд у коровій паренхімі кореня другого, третього та наступних років; прості крохмальні зерна з тріщинкою, або з вираженими денними і нічними шарами; білок у клітинах ксилеми. Діагностичними ознаками стеблокореня є: покривна тканина – багатошарова епідерма; рідке опушення простими одноклітинними волосками; наявність луб’яних волокон у коровій паренхімі; домінування у ксилемі механічної тканини.

Due to the wide range of biologically active substances, the plant mixtures can influence the development of diabetes mellitus and its complications. Amino acids attract particular attention due to their ability to stimulate insulin secretion, reduce hyperglycemia and regulate metabolic processes in patients with diabetes. The aim of this study was to investigate the content of amino acids in the plant mixture samples: 1) Cichorium intybus roots, Elymus repens rhizome, Helichrysum arenarium flowers, Rosa majalis fruits, Zea mays columns with stigmas, 2) Urtica dioica leaf, Taraxacum officinale roots, Vaccinium myrtillus leaf, Rosa majalis fruits, Mentha piperita herb, which have proven antidiabetic activity in studies in vivo. The amino acids were separated by validated method of gas chromatography-mass spectrometry with pre-column derivatisation. Quantitative analyses of amino acids showed that the predominant components were L-proline in the sample 1 and L-leucine and L-proline in the sample 2 of the plant mixtures.

Вступ. Мильнянка лікарська (Saponaria officinalis L.) – багаторічна трав’яниста рослина, представник родини гвоздикові (Caryophyllaceae). Вона поширена по всій території Європи, у Північній Африці та на заході до Середньої Азії, але на даний час також культивується в багатьох країнах світу. В Saponaria officinalis L. спостерігають високий рівень сапонінів, також рослина містить флавоноїди, квайлову кислоту, жирні кислоти та різні фенольні сполуки. У джерелах літератури є інформація про протигрибкову активність сапонінової фракції мильнянки лікарської проти Gaeumannomyces graminis var. tritici й Fusarium culmorum та її антимікробні властивості. Відомостей про хімічний склад первинних метаболітів, а саме органічних кислот, у траві та підземних органах Saponaria officinalis L. у доступній літературі не знайдено, хоча ці речовини є одними з важливих класів природних сполук і мають широкий спектр біологічної та фармакологічної дій. Мета дослідження – виявити і визначити методом високоефективної рідинної хроматографії (ВЕРХ) кількісний вміст окремих компонентів органічних кислот у траві та кореневищах мильнянки лікарської. Методи дослідження. Кількісний вміст органічних кислот визначали методом ВЕРХ на рідинному хроматографі Agilent 1200 (Agilent Technologies, США). Результати й обговорення. Методом ВЕРХ у траві мильнянки лікарської ідентифіковано та визначено кількісний вміст винної, піровиноградної, ізолимонної, бурштинової і фумарової кислот, у підземних органах – піровиноградної, ізолимонної, лимонної, бурштинової та фумарової. Серед органічних кислот у траві рослини домінували ізолимонна та піровиноградна кислоти, вміст яких становив 120,83 і 25,14 мг/г відповідно. У підземних органах Saponaria officinalis L. в найбільшій кількості було визначено бурштинову кислоту (0,79 мг/г). Висновки. Уперше методом ВЕРХ досліджено якісний склад та кількісний вміст органічних кислот у мильнянці лікарській. Встановлено, що трава і підземні органи досліджуваної рослини містять винну, піровиноградну, ізолимонну, лимонну, фумарову та бурштинову кислоти. Серед органічних кислот у траві мильнянки лікарської домінувала ізолимонна кислота, вміст якої становив 120,83 мг/г. У кореневищах досліджуваного об’єкта переважала бурштинова кислота (0,79 мг/г). Отримані результати свідчать про перспективність подальших поглиблених фітохімічних досліджень біологічно активних речовин мильнянки лікарської (Saponaria officinalis L.).

Вступ. Рід Crambe L. (Катран) належить до родини хрестоцвіті (Brassicaceae) і налічує 44 види. У флорі України знаходиться 8 видів роду Crambe L., у степовій зоні росте 6. Наукова назва роду походить від грецького слова “krambos”, що означає “сухий”. У народній медицині катрани здавна застосовували як антибактеріальний, антивірусний, протицинготний, ранозагоювальний засіб. Катрани відомі в основному як пряно-овочева культура. Вегетативну частину рослини цінують у тваринництві як поживний корм для великої та дрібної худоби, а насіння катрану, що містить до 45 % жирної олії, слугує сировиною для отримання технічного масла, воску, різних паливно-мастильних матеріалів. Отже, рід Crambe L. є перс­пективним завдяки його харчовим, декоративним та лікарським властивостям тощо. Рослини Crambe належать до лікарських культур, хоча не входять до фармакопейних списків офіційної медицини. Рослини роду Катран вивчено мало. Тому актуальним є дослідження біологічно активних речовин двох видів роду Катран – катрану серцелистого (Crambe cordifolia Stev.) та катрану коктебельського (Crambe koktebelica (Junge) N. Busch), які зумовлюють його фармакологічну активність. Мета дослідження – встановити наявність і визначити кількісний вміст гідроксикоричних кислот у підземних органах катрану серцелистого та катрану коктебельського методом високоефективної рідинної хроматографії (ВЕРХ). Методи дослідження. Вміст фенольних сполук визначали методом ВЕРХ. Результати й обговорення. Методом ВЕРХ у підземних органах катрану серцелистого та катрану коктебельського виявлено, ідентифіковано і встановлено кількісний вміст хлорогенової, кофейної, сирінгової, р-кумарової, транс-ферулової, синапової, транс-цинамової кислот. У коренеплодах катрану серцелистого, крім вищенаведених, ідентифіковано хінну кислоту. В сировині обох видів катрану не виявлено галової, гідроксифенілоцтової і транс-ферулової кислот. Домінувала в підземних органах катрану серцелистого та катрану коктебельського хлорогенова кислота, вміст якої становив 421,6 і 278,4 мкг/г відповідно. Висновки. Встановлено наявність і методом ВЕРХ-аналізу визначено кількісний вміст у підземних органах катрану серцелистого та катрану коктебельського індивідуальних гідроксикоричних кислот – хлорогенової, кофейної, р-кумарової, сирінгової, синапової, транс-цинамової, а в підземних органах катрану серцелистого – також хінної. З’ясовано, що у досліджуваній сировині обох видів катрану домінує хлорогенова кислота, вміст якої становить 421,6 і 278,4 мкг/г відповідно.

Diabetes mellitus is an important social and medical problem as it causes the development of dangerous complications leading to disability and mortality. This disease is characterized by a multi-vector pathogenesis that requires a comprehensive approach to the treatment. Due to the use of mixtures of medicinal plants in the treatment of diabetes it is possible to cover all aspects of the development of this disease and its complications.Aim. To study the hypoglycemic activity of herbal mixtures used in folk medicine for the prevention and treatment of diabetes mellitus type 2, and determine their conditional therapeutic dose.Materials and methods. The study was performed on male albino rats weighing 180-200 g. For the preventive treatment within 20 days they received orally the aqueous extracts (1:10) of the herbal mixtures studied in the doses of 6 mL/kg/day, 9 mL/kg/day and 12 mL/kg/day and the reference drugs – the official herbal mixture “Arfazetin” in the dose of 9 mL/kg/day and metformin tablets in the dose of 60 mg/kg/day. The study of hypoglycemic properties and determination of the conditional therapeutic dose of the mixtures studied were performed using glucose loading tests (oral glucose tolerance test – OGTT and intraperitoneal glucose tolerance test– IPGTT). All experiments were performed in accordance with general ethical principles with the recommendations of the EEC Council Directive 2010/63/EU about the protection of animals used for scientific purposes.Results and discussion. The results of the study showed that the 20-day preventive treatment with the herbal mixtures reduced alimentary hyperglycemia 30 minutes after OGTT and regulated carbohydrate tolerance disorders by reducing hyperglycemia 15 minutes after IPGTT. The herbal mixture No. 13 in the dose of 12 mL/kg/day showed the highest hypoglycemic activity, which was almost similar with the reference drug – metformin tablets, but exceeded the official herbal mixture “Arfazetin” by its efficiency. In addition, the dose-dependence of the effectiveness of all five herbal mixtures studied was determined.Conclusions. For the first time, the screening study of the hypoglycemic activity of herbal mixtures used in folk medicine for the prevention and treatment of diabetes mellitus type 2 has been conducted. It has been determined that the herbal mixture No. 13 containing Cichorii radices, Elymi repens rhizomata, Helichrysi arenarii flores, Rosae fructus, Maydis style cum stigmatis shows the highest effectiveness by the ability to reduce alimentary hyperglycemia during OGTT and reduce impaired carbohydrate tolerance during IPGTT. Its conditional therapeutic dose, which is 12 mL/kg/day, has been determined.

To study the hypoglycemic activity of the herbal mixtures, which are used in folk medicine for diabetes mellitus type 2 prevention and treatment, but do not have a scientific basis and to establish their conditional therapeutic dose.Materials and methods. The study has been performed in male albino rats weighing 180-200 g, during 20 days they have been receiving orally for preventive treatment aqueous extracts (1:10) of the studied herbal mixtures at a dose 6 mL/kg/day, 9 mL/kg/day and 12 mL/kg/day and comparison drugs – the official herbal mixtures “Arfazetin” at a dose 9 mL/kg/day and tablets metformin at a dose 60 mg/kg/day. The study of hypoglycemic properties and the establishment of a conditional therapeutic dose of the studied mixtures was carried out using glucose loading tests. All experiments have been performed in accordance with general ethical principles with the recommendations of the EEC Council directive 2010/63/EU about the protection of animals used for scientific experiment.Results and discussion. The results of the study showed the 20-day preventive treatment by the herbal mixtures reduced alimentary hyperglycemia at the 30th minutes of OGTT and helped regulate carbohydrate tolerance disorders by reducing hyperglycemia at the 15th minutes of IPGTT. The highest hypoglycemic activity showed the herbal mixture No. 7 in a dose 12 mL/kg/day, which was almost on a par with the comparison drug – tablets metformin, but exceeded the official herbal mixture “Arfazetin”. In addition, the dose-dependence of the effectiveness of all five studied herbal mixtures was established.Conclusions. For the first time, it was conducted the screening study of hypoglycemic activity of the herbal mixtures, which are used in folk medicine for the prevention and treatment of diabetes mellitus type 2. It was determined that the greatest effectiveness in terms of the ability to reduce alimentary hyperglycemia during OGTT and reduce impaired carbohydrate tolerance during IPGTT show the herbal mixture No. 7, which includes Inulae rhizomata et radices, Helichrysi arenarii flores, Maydis style cum sigmatis, Origani herba, Rosae fructus, Taraxaci radices. It was established its conditional therapeutic dose 12 mL/kg/day.

It was determined the qualitative composition and the quantitative content of fatty acids in the herbal antidiabetic collection № 3, № 4, № 7, № 13, № 19, which are used in folk medicine for prevention and treatment of diabetes mellitus type 2 in Ukraine by GC/MS method. According to the results it was identified 8 fatty acids in the herbal antidiabetic collection № 3, 13 fatty acids in the herbal antidiabetic collection № 4, 12 fatty acids in the herbal antidiabetic collection № 7, 13 fatty acids in the herbal antidiabetic collection № 13 and 11 fatty acids in the herbal antidiabetic collection № 19. The saturated fatty acids were found to be dominated in the raw plant material. The results of the quantitative research showed that the herbal antidiabetic collection № 3 contains 16.13 mg/g of fatty acids, the herbal antidiabetic collection № 4 – 27.17 mg/g, the herbal antidiabetic collection № 7 – 31.98 mg/g, the herbal antidiabetic collection № 13 – 27.37 mg/g, the herbal antidiabetic collection № 19 – 18.79 mg/g. The GC/MS analysis of the fatty acid composition in the herbal antidiabetic collections has shown that this raw material has a lot of fatty acids, which can have a positive effect for the treatment and prevention of diabetes mellitus type 2.

Вступ. Цукровий діабет є глобальною соціальною проблемою у сфері охорони здоров’я, що зумовлена швидкими темпами поширення цього захворювання та розвитком серйозних ускладнень у вигляді діа­бетичних ангіопатій, які істотно знижують якість і тривалість життя пацієнтів. З метою вирішення даної проблеми варто здійснювати оптимізацію існуючої фармакотерапії, зокрема за допомогою фіто­зборів, що зможуть впливати на різні ланки патогенетичного механізму розвитку цукрового діабету та його ускладнень завдяки широкому спектру біологічно активних речовин. У цьому відношенні особливої уваги заслуговують мінеральні речовини, оскільки багато з них бере участь у регулюванні вуглеводного обміну. Мета дослідження – вивчити мінеральний склад рослинних антидіабетичних зборів, які застосовують у народній медицині для лікування та профілактики цукрового діабету. Методи дослідження. Якісний склад та кількісний вміст макро- і мікроелементів визначали методом атомно-абсорбційної спектроскопії з атомізацією у повітряно-ацетиленовому полум’ї. Результати й обговорення. Під час дослідження було виявлено і встановлено кількісний вміст 5 макро- та 4 мікроелементів у рослинних антидіабетичних зборах № 3, № 4, № 7, № 13, № 19. За результатами дослідження, серед макроелементів найбільший вміст Na в антидіабетичному зборі № 4, K – в антидіабетичних зборах № 4 та № 7, Fe – № 4 і № 19, Mg – № 3 та № 19, Ca – № 4 і № 19; серед мік­ро­елементів, які мають значний вплив на розвиток, лікування та перебіг цукрового діабету, найвищий вміст Zn виявлено в антидіабетичних зборах № 13 і № 7, Cr – № 7 та № 19, Mn – в антидіабетичному зборі № 19, Cu – № 4. Висновок. Результати дослідження дозволяють прогнозувати виражену гіпоглікемічну активність антидіабетичних зборів за патогенетичним механiзмом впливу.

The aim of the work ‒ determination of the qualitative composition and quantitative content of the individual components of tannins in the herb and tubers of the yellow nutgrass (chufa) ( Cyperus esculentus L.) by the method of HPLC. Materials and Methods . Herb and tubers of the yellow nutgrass were objects for the research. The raw material was harvested at the experimental sites of the New Cultures Department of M.M. Hryshko National Botanic Garden of the NAS of Ukraine in Kyiv in 2018. The qualitative composition and quantitative content of the components of tannins were determined by high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC). Results . 7 components of tannins were found out in the herb and tubers of the yellow nutgrass by the HPLC method. Among the individual components of tannins in the herb and tubers of the yellow nutgrass, gallocatechin and epigallocatechin predominate. In the herb of the yellow nutgrass, the lowest content of ellagic acid was set, which was 0.05 %. In the tubers of the yellow nutgrass, among the individual components of tannins, a small amount of gallic, ellagic, acids and catechin was established, their content was 0.1 %. Conclusions. HPLC at first was investigated the qualitative composition and quantitative content of the individual components of tannins in the herb and tubers of the yellow nutgrass. It was established that the studied raw materials contain free gallic and ellagic acids, components of condensed tannins: catechin, gallocatechin, epicatechin, epigallocatechin, epicatechin gallate. Among the individual components of tannins, gallocatechin and epigallocatechin prevailed, the content of which in the herb was 2.19 % and 1.06 %, in tubers – 0.38 % and 0.10 %, respectively. Gallocatechin and epigallocatechin can be recommended to standardize the raw materials of the yellow nutgrass. The results obtained indicate the prospect of further studies of biologically active substances of herb and tubers of the yellow nutgrass

Мета – удосконалення комплексного лікування хворих на Лайм-бореліоз (ЛБ) за допомогою поєднаного застосування доксицикліну гідрохлориду та настою з листків стевії медоносної. Матеріал і методи. Під спостереженням було 113 хворих із еритемною формою Лайм-бореліозу; чоловіків – 49 (43,4 %), жінок – 64 (56,6 %). Середній вік обстежених склав (42,65±13,91) року. Апробовано дві схеми комплексного лікування хворих. Пацієнти 1-ї групи (53) отримували доксицикліну гідрохлорид по 200 мг в день (у 2 прийоми по 100 мг) протягом 21 дня, карсил і хілак; хворі 2-ї групи (60) – першу схему впродовж 14 днів, а далі – настій з листків стевії медоносної (Stevia rebaudiana (Bertoni) Hemslеy) по 1 склянці двічі на день протягом 14 днів. Результати. У хворих, які у комплексному лікуванні отримували доксицикліну гідрохлорид разом із настоєм із листків стевії медоносної, на 30-й день після закінчення лікування відзначено достовірно менший ступінь тяжкості ЛБ, порівняно з особами іншої групи. Комплексна терапія пацієнтів з використанням настою із листків стевії медоносної зумовлює зменшення вмісту в сироватці крові прозапального ІЛ-18 і підвищення концентрації протизапального ІЛ-10. Висновки. Комплексне лікування хворих на еритемну форму Лайм-бореліозу з використанням настою із листків стевії медоносної сприяє суттєво швидшому зникненню клінічних проявив недуги, скороченню термінів призначення доксицикліну гідрохлориду, а також зменшує ймовірність виникнення побічних ефектів від цього препарату. Застосування в комплексному лікуванні хворих на еритемну форму хвороби Лайма доксицикліну гідрохлориду разом з настоєм із листків стевії медоносної забезпечує ранню протизапальну реакцію, формування клітинного і гуморального імунітенту, що сприяє елімінації борелій та одужанню хворого.

Pharmacotherapy of diabetes mellitus is an extremely important problem of medicine and pharmacy due to its deficient safety and imperfection in maintaining optimal glycemia, frequent changes of which lead to the development of diabetes angiopathies. Therefore, the optimization of existing treatments with herbal collections is appropriate because of their low toxicity and the complex effect of the number of biologically active substances on the pathogenesis of diabetes and its complications. The aim of the research was to determine the qualitative composition and quantitative content of flavonoids in the herbal antidiabetic collections № 3 and № 4. Materials and methods. The objects of the study were the herbal antidiabetic collection № 3, which consists of folium Urticae, radix Cichorii, fructus Rosae majalis, rhizoma Erytrigiae repens, radix Taraxaci officinale , and the herbal antidiabetic collection № 4, which consists of radix Arctii lappa, rhizoma Erytrigiae repens, styli cum stigmatis Zeae maydis, flores Helichrysi arenarium, fructus Rosae majalis . The qualitative composition and quantitative content of flavonoids were determined by the method of high-performance chromatography using liquid chromatograph Agilent Technologies 1200. Results. It was identified 6 flavonoid and it was established their quantitative content, among which the rutin (0.36 %), neohesperidin (0.31 %), luteolin (0.17 %), quercetin (0.05 %), isoquercetrin 0.04 % and naringenin 0.04 % in the herbal antidiabetic collection № 3. It was identified 4 flavonoid and it was established their quantitative content, among which luteolin (0.42 %), rutin (0.29 %), quercetin (0.63 %) and isoquercetrin (0.63 %) in the herbal antidiabetic collection № 4. Conclusions . For the first time, it was determined the qualitative composition and quantitative content of the main flavonoids in the herbal antidiabetic collections № 3 and № 4 by the method of high-performance liquid chromatography. The results of the study showed that the herbal antidiabetic collection № 3 contains 6 flavonoids with a predominance of rutin and neohesperidin, and the herbal antidiabetic collection № 4 – 4 flavonoids, among which luteolin, rutin, and quercetin predominate. This gives reason to conclude about the antidiabetic activity by the pathogenetic mechanism of influence, which indicates that the feasibility of further study of these collections as promising herbal remedies for the treatment and prevention of diabetes mellitus.

For the first time the qualitative composition was studied and the quantitative content of amino acids in the herb of common pussytoes, yacon leaves, stevia leaves, herb of golden marigolds was determined by HPLC. 17 bound and 16 free amino acids were identified in the herb of common pussytoes, in the herb of golden marigolds, yacon leaves and stevia leaves – 12 and 5, 17 and 11 and 16 and 14 amino acids, respectively. The highest content of the sum of essential and substitute amino acids is contained in the leaves of stevia; the lowest content of the sum of essential amino – in the herb of golden marigolds, the sum of essential amino acids – in the herb of common pussytoes.

Вступ. Цінною сировиною для розробки фітопрепаратів є журавлини болотної плоди, які застосовують при лікуванні інфекцій сечовидільної системи, застудних та стоматологічних захворювань. Біологічно активні речовини, що містяться в цій сировині, здатні проявляти антимікробні властивості щодо головних уропатогенних штамів мікроорганізмів. При розробці твердих лікарських форм для застосування в урології перспективним є одержання згущеного соку з журавлини болотної плодів. Мета дослідження – розробити технологію одержання та здійснити стандартизацію згущеного соку з журавлини болотної плодів. Методи дослідження. Свіжоодержаний та згущений сік з журавлини болотної плодів піддавали аналізу за такими показниками, як: опис, рН, сухий залишок (свіжий сік), ідентифікація і кількісне визначення основних груп біологічно активних речовин. Результати й обговорення. У результаті проведених досліджень розроблено оптимальну технологію одержання згущеного соку з журавлини болотної плодів. Для свіжоодержаного та згущеного соку визначено основні показники якості. Висновки. Обґрунтовано оптимальний метод одержання свіжого соку з журавлини болотної плодів та визначено такі його критерії якості, як: зовнішній вигляд, рН від 2,46 до 2,5, ідентифікація методами тонкошарової хроматографії, кольоровими реакціями, кількісне визначення методами титриметрії та УФ-спектрофотометрії (органічні кислоти – не менше 0,78 %, поліфеноли – не менше 1,8 %, таніни – не менше 0,39 %, проантоціанідини – не менше 0,33 %). При одержанні згущеного соку з журавлини болотної плодів встановлено, що оптимальним методом загущування є інфрачервоне сушіння при 35–40 °С до 30 % від початкової маси. Визначено основні показники якості згущеного соку з журавлини болотної плодів, а саме: опис, рН від 2,46 до 2,5, кількісний вміст (органічні кислоти – не менше 2,37 %, поліфеноли – не менше 5,37 %, таніни – не менше 1,06 %, проантоціанідини – не менше 0,95 %). Розроблено технологічну схему одержання згущеного соку з журавлини болотної плодів.

Мета роботи. Визначення антимікробної активності бедринцю ломикаменевого підземних органів екстракту густого. Матеріали і методи. Oб’єктoм для дoслідження обрано бедринцю ломикаменевого підземних органів екстракт густий (БЕГ-1, одержаний екстрагуванням 75 % етанолом і БЕГ-2, екстрагент 85 % етанол). В якості тест-культур використовували 5 музейних штамів: грампозитивні мікроорганізми Staphylococcus aureus АТСС 6538, спорову культуру Bacillus subtilis АТСС 6633, грамнегативну культуру Escherichia coli АТСС 25922 та Pseudomonas aeruginosa АТСС 9027. Антифунгальну дію з’ясовували відносно Candida albicans АТСС 885-653. Бактеріостатичні властивoсті дoсліджуваних oб’єктів встанoвлювали за результатами росту еталонних штамів мікроорганізмів у нативному водному розчині бедринцю та в розведені 1:2 та 1:4 в м'ясо-пептонному бульйоні; бактерицидні – за відсутністю росту вмісту пробірок із розведенням екстракту на щільних пoживних середoвищах (м’ясо-пептонний агар – МПА) для грампозитивних мікроорганізмів S. aureus, B. subtilis, для грамнегативної культури E. coli, P. аeruginosa. Агар Сабуро використовували для дріжджеподібних грибів роду Candida (C. аlbicans). Результати й обговорення. Бедринцю ломикаменевого підземних органів екстракт густий має широкий спектр антибактеріальної активності. Нативний екстракт БЕГ-1 по відношенню до тест-штамів S. aureus, B. subtilis, C. аlbicans проявляв бактерицидну дію. Бактеріостатичну дію він проявляв до P. aeruginosa, а по відношенню до E. coli антимікробного ефекту не виявлено. Екстракти в розведені 1:2 та 1:4 проявили бактерицидну дію відносно B. subtilis, бактеріостатичну – до S. aureus, C. albicans і не виявлено протимікробної дії до E. coli та P. aeruginosa. Нативний зразок БЕГ-2 по відношенню до усіх досліджуваних 5 тест–штамів проявив бактерицидну активність; у розведені 1:2 та 1:4 проявляв бактерицидну та бактеріостатичну дію відносно S. aureus, B. subtilis, C. albicans. Антимікробна дія по відношенню до E. coli та P. aeruginosa не виявлена. Антимікрoбну активність нативного бедринцю ломикаменевого екстракту густого також вивчали у дoслідах in vitro методом дифузії в агар – метод “колодязів”. Штами S. aureus, C. albicans, B. subtilis, P. aeruginosa, E. coli проявили чутливість до нативного бедринцю ломикаменевого підземних органів екстракту густого. Грампозитивні бактеріальні штами S. aureus,а також гриби C. albicans, B. subtilis є найбільш чутливими до БЕГ-2, а БЕГ-1 проявляв порівняно меншу чутливість. Грамнегативні культури P. aeruginosa та E. coli також проявили помірну чутливість до БЕГ-1, але значно більшу чутливість до БЕГ-2. Висновки. 1. Експериментально встановлено, що обидва досліджувані зразки бедринцю ломикаменевого підземних органів екстракту густого проявляють антибактеріальну активність. 2. Бедринцю ломикаменевого підземних органів екстракт густий проявляв більш виражену антимікробну активність по відношенню до грампозитивної мікрофлори, тому є перспективним для створення лікарського засобу з антимікробними властивостями.

Вступ. В Україні зростає 5 видів рослин роду Бедринець родини селерові (Apiaceae). Найпоширенішим є бедринець ломикаменевий (Pimpinella saxifraga L.) – багаторічна трав’яниста рослина, типовий представник роду Pimpinella. На сьогодні достатньо інформації щодо його застосування в народній медицині: відвари підземних органів рослини як відхаркувальний засіб при тривалому кашлі, фарингіті, ларингіті, трахеїті та хронічному бронхіті; при лікуванні захворювань шлунково-кишкового тракту (метеоризм, порушення травлення, хронічний гастрит, ентероколіт). Використовують рослину також як протизапальний та гіпотензивний засіб. У доступних джерелах наукової літератури недостатньо інформації про хімічний склад бедринцю ломикаменевого. Відсутні відомості про дослідження його летких сполук. З огляду на це і те, що ефірні олії представників родини Apiaceae широко застосовують у народній та науковій медицині як антибактеріальні, протигрибкові, противірусні, протипаразитарні, інсектицидні, спазмолітичні, відхаркувальні, протизапальні засоби, метою дослідження було вивчити леткі сполуки бедринцю ломикаменевого трави та кореневищ і коренів, встановити їх компонентний склад. Методи дослідження. Компонентний склад летких сполук досліджували хроматографічним методом на хромато-мас-спектрометричній системі Agilent 6890N/5973 inert (Agilent Technologies, США). Ідентифікацію компонентів проби здійснювали з використанням бібліотеки мас-спектрів NIST 02. Результати й обговорення. У результаті проведених досліджень у бедринцю ломикаменевого траві виявлено 59 компонентів летких сполук, з них ідентифіковано 26, основними з яких є гермакрен-D, β-бісаболен, гептакозан та нонакозан. У траві досліджуваного об’єкта виявлено сесквітерпеновий спирт – α-бергамотол, який може бути маркерною сполукою леткої фракції трави рослини. У Pimpinella saxifraga L. коренях виявлено 65 компонентів летких сполук, з них ідентифіковано 27, основними з яких є каріофілен, п-гексадеканова і 9,12-октадекадієнова кислоти, гермакрен-D та β-гур’юнен. Спільними компонентами бедринцю ломикаменевого трави і підземних органів є β-фарнезен, гермакрен-D, β-бісаболен, 1,3-диметилнафтален та п-гексадеканова кислота. Висновки. Методом газової хромато-мас-спектрометрії досліджено якісний склад летких сполук бедринцю ломикаменевого трави та корененевищ і коренів. У траві виявлено 59 компонентів, ідентифіковано 26. У кореневищах і коренях ідентифіковано 27 компонентів із 65 виявлених. Основними компонентами бедринцю ломикаменевого трави є гермакрен-D, β-бісаболен, гептакозан, нонакозан; кореневищ і коренів – каріофілен, гермакрен-D та β-гур’юнен. Спільними компонентами підземних і надземних органів рослини є β-фарнезен, гермакрен-D, β-бісаболен, 1,3-диметилнафтален та п-гексадеканова кислота. Встановлено маркерну сполуку леткої фракції бедринцю ломикаменевого трави – α-бергамотол.

Introduction. In the world flora the genus Primula L., of the family Primulaceae is one of the most numerous and binds over 600 species of yearlings and perennials. 9 species of the genus Primula grow on the territory of Ukraine. In the sources of literature, there is information on the healing properties of primrose rock (Primula saxatilis Kom.) and primrose denticulated (Primula denticulata Smith.), which are used only in folk medicine. At the same time in the scientific literature sources there is not enough information on their chemical composition. The aim of the study – to determine the content of saponins in leaves and rhizomes with the roots of the decorative species of the genus Primula – primrose rock and primrose denticulated. Research Methods. With the purpose of detecting saponins in the investigated raw material, the generally accepted qualitative reactions were made, for which the extras were prepred. Water extracts were used for the foam formation and sedimentation tests. The chemical nature of saponins in the studied objects was also determined. Quantitative content of saponins, in terms of escin, was determined by spectrophotometric method at the spectrometer of Lambda 25 Perkin Elmer (USA) at a wavelength of 381 nm. Results and Discussion. As a result of the preliminary study, it was found that the content of saponins in the primrose denticulated was 1.4 times greater than that of the primrose rock and was (0.61±0.03) %. The content of saponins in the primrose denticulated in rhizomes with roots is 1.2 times larger than that of primrose rock rhizomes with roots and was (1.79 ± 0.06) %. Conclusions. 1. Phytochemical analysis of leaves and rhizomes with roots of primrose rock and primrose denticulated was conducted, the presence of saponins of the triterpene series was experimentally proved. 2. The content of saponins in primrose rock leaves and rhizomes with roots was (0.45±0.02) % and (1.54±0.07) %, in the primrose denticulated (0.61±0.03) % and (1.79±0.06) %, respectively.

Introduction.saxifragepimpinella (Pimpinella saxifraga L.) from the family of celery (Apiaceae) has long been used in folk medicine as expectorant, diuretic, anti-inflammatory, sedative, and pain medication. It is recommended for catarrhal airways, tracheitis, bronchitis, pneumonia, laryngitis, asthma, pertussis, edema, salt diathesis, liver disease, intestinal atony, chronic gastritis with low acidity, gout, swelling and flatulence. With therapeutic purposes, mainly, rhizomes and plant roots are used. There are about 200 species of the genus pimpinella(Pimpinella L.), common in Asia, Europe and Africa, there are 5 species in Ukraine; the most common is saxifrage pimpinella. The aim of the study– to establish the presence and determine the quantitative content of hydroxycinnamic acids in the herb and subterraneous organs of the saxifrage pimpinella. Research Methods. To detect hydroxycinnamic acidswe used alcohol-water extractor. The reaction with 1 % solution of ferrum (III) chloride (the appearance of green and gray color) indicated the presence of compounds of phenolic nature in the investigated extraction. The quantitative determination of hydroxycinnamic acids in the investigated objectsisbasedonthespectrophotometricmethod. Qualitative composition and quantitative content of individual hydroxycinnamic acids in the herb and subterraneous organs of saxifrage pimpinella were investigated by high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) on Agilent 1200 3 D LC System Technologies chromatograph (USA). Results and Discussion. The quantitative content of the sum of hydroxycinnamic acids in the herb of the saxifrage pimpinella was (4.68±0.05)%, in the subterraneous organs – (1.52±0.03)%. The HPLC method in the investigated objects of the saxifrage pimpinella we revealed, identified and established the quantitative content of acids of chlorogenic and rosemary. Chlorogenic acid, the content of which was 3.13% and 0.11% respectively, is mainly the dominant inherb and subterraneous organs of the saxifrage pimpinella. Saxifrage pimpinella herb contains 0.34% of rosemary acid. Conclusions. The presence and determination of the quantitative content of hydroxycinnamic acids in grass and subterraneous organs of the saxifrage pimpinella which was (4.68±0.05)% and (1.52±0.03) %, respectively, was established. The method of HPLC analysis in the investigated raw material of the saxifrage pimpinella established individual hydroxycinnamic acids – chlorogenic and rosemary, and their quantitative content is determined. The dominant in the herb and subterraneous organs of the saxifrage pimpinella is chlorogenic acid, which content was 3.13% and 0.34%, respectively, therefore it can be recommended for the standardization of raw materials.

The herbal mixtures due to the wide range of biologically active substances can influence on various links of the pathogenetic mechanism of development of diabetes mellitus and its complications. The carbohydrates, especially inulin, deserve the particular attention through their hypoglycemic, hypolipidemic, anticholesterolemic and detoxifying activities. The aim of the study was to investigate the content of inulin in the herbal mixtures No. 3, No. 4, No. 7, No. 13 and No. 19, which are used in folk medicine for the prevention and treatment of diabetes mellitus type 2 in Ukraine. The quantity content of inulin was defined by the difference between fructose as a product of enzymatic hydrolysis and fructose, a constituent of sucrose and free fructose, taking into account the empirical factor for the conversion of fructose from inulin. The carbohydrates were separated by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry after conversion into volatile derivatives as aldononitrile acetate. According to the results, the herbal mixture No. 3 contains 458.97 mg/g of inulin, the herbal mixture No. 4 – 99.21 mg/g, the herbal mixture No. 7 – 139.93 mg/g, the herbal mixture No. 13 – 203.84 mg/g, the herbal mixture No. 19 – 359.65 mg/g. The availability of inulin and its high content in the investigated herbal mixtures due to the presence of inulin-containing medicinal plants, such as Cichorium intubus roots (mixtures No. 3 and No. 13), Taraxacum officinale roots (mixtures No. 3, No. 7 and No. 19), Arctium lappa roots (mixture No. 4), Inula helenium rhizome with roots (mixture No. 7).

Diabetes mellitus is an important social and medical problem, as it causes the development of dangerous complications that lead to disability and mortality. This disease is characterized by a multi-vector pathogenesis that requires a comprehensive approach to treatment. Due to the using of medicinal plantsmixtures in the treatment of diabetes, it is possible to cover many aspects of the development of this disease and its complications.The aim of the study was to evaluate the hypoglycemic activity of some herbal mixtures and to establish their conditionally therapeutic doses on normoglycemic rats by glucose load tests.The study was performed on male albino rats weighing 180–200 g, which for preventive treatment during 20 days orally received aqueous extracts (1:10) of the studied herbal mixtures at a dose 6 mL/kg/day, 9 mL/kg/day and 12 mL/kg/day and comparison drugs – the official herbal mixtures «Arfazetin» at adose 9 mL/kg/day and metformin tablets at a dose 60 mg/kg/day. The study of hypoglycemic properties and the establishment of a conditional therapeutic doses was carried out using glucose loading tests (OGTT and IPGTT). All experiments were performed in accordance with general ethical principles and therecommendations of the EEC Council directive 2010/63/EU about the protection of animals, which are used for scientific purposes.The results of the study showed that the 20-day preventive administration of the herbal mixtures reduced alimentary hyperglycemia at the 30th min of OGTT and helped regulate carbohydrate tolerance disorders by reducing hyperglycemia at the 15th min of IPGTT. The highest hypoglycemic activity showedthe herbal mixture № 19 (Urticae folia, Taraxaci radice, Myrtilli folia, Rosae fructus and Menthae folia) at a dose 12 mL/kg/day, which was almost on a par with the comparison drug – metformin tablets, but exceeded the official herbal mixture «Arfazetin». In addition, the dose-dependence of the effectiveness of all five studied herbal mixtures was established.

Мікропрепарати виготовляли з висушених листків, фіксованих у суміші спирт-гліцерин-вода (1:1:1) і досліджували загальноприйнятими методами з використанням мікроскопа Item: PB -2610, фотофіксацію результатів здійснювали фотокамерою Samsung PL50.Результати й обговорення. Листки розеткові і низові стеблові листки довгочерешкові, великі. В прикореневій розетці у середньому приблизно 6 непарноперистих листків з 4-7 парами довгасто-ланцетних бічних сегментів. Стеблові листки серединної формації почергові, короткочерешкові або сидячі, перисто-роздільні або розсічені, зісподу сизуваті, зверху темно-зелені або з червонуватим відтінком. Край жорсткий, нерівномірно-крупно-пилчастий, зубці на кінці з гострим білуватим хрящуватим шипиком. По жилках – рідке опушення. Листкова пластинка стеблових листків за будовою гіпостоматична, дорсовентральна з достатньо диференційованим мезофілом. Головна жилки стеблового перисторозсіченого листка, що на ділянках між сегментами, сідлоподібної форми. Колатеральних провідних пучків 9, крупніші чергуються з дрібнішими. У бічних відрогах проходить по 2 маленьких концентричних пучечки.На мікропрепаратах з поверхні клітини верхньої епідерми листкової пластинки ізодіаметричні, слабохвилясті, продихи відсутні.Клітини епідерми нижньої сторони пластинки дрібніші, із більш звивистими оболонками. Продихів багато, округло-овальні, аномоцитного типу, оточені 3–5 клітинами епідерми. Подекуди вздовж жилок, зрідка між ними епідерма з довгими 3–5-клітинними, тонкими гострими волосками.Висновки. Вивчено морфолого-анатомічні ознаки серпію увінчаного та визначено основні макро- та мікроскопічні діагностичні ознаки листків, які будуть використані при стандартизації лікарської сировини – розробці методів контролю «Серпію листя».

Diabetes mellitus is a global problem today, because there is a sharp increase the number of patients in the world each year. Severe complications of diabetes are very dangerous because it can lead to disability of patients and high mortality. The aim of our work was to study the protective effect of antidiabetic plant collection on the pancreas in rats with diabetes type 2, caused by the introduction of dexamethasone. The research materials were pancreatic tissue of rats with experimental diabetes that received the decoction (1:10) of antidiabetic plant collection (witch includes Equiseti arvensis herba, Sambuci flores, Inulae rhizomata et radices, Hyperici herba, Tiliae flores, Polygoni avicularis herba, Myrtilli folium, Urticae folia) in treatment and preventive mode. The model of diabetes mellitus was induced by administration of dexamethasone 0.125 ml/kg for 15 days. Decoction of antidiabetic plant collection in doses 6 ml/kg, 9 ml/kg and 12 ml/kg reduces diabetogenic properties of dexamethasone when administered simultaneously. The insular tissue increases absorbance pancreatic islets, to some extent restored the normal percentage distribution of the islets in size, histologically visualized the increase more high-grade cells. The study found that antidiabetic plant collection reduces destructive-dystrophic changes of insular apparatus in rats with diabetes type 2. Antidiabetic effect of the studied plant collection has dose-dependent nature. The most effective conditional-effective doses are 9 and 12 ml/kg.

Topicality . Since ancient times the species of Primrose (Primula L.) are used in traditional medicine. There are about 500 species, which are distributed around the globe. In the CIS (Commonwealth of Independent States) countries grows 67 species. The most common is cowslip (Primula veris L.; Primula officinalis Hill.). The decoction of cowslip rhizomes with roots is used in traditional and scientific medicine as an expectorant; the infusion of leaves is used as analgesic and diuretic. In the Ukrainian pharmaceutical market there are no domestic drugs from raw cowslip. Aim. To determine the optimal conditions for obtaining extracts from the cowslip leaves and rhizomes with roots to develop new domestic drugs with anti-inflammatory and expectorant activity. Materials and methods . The object of the research was the cowslip leaves, which were harvested in Ternopil region in 2015 during the mass plants’ flowering, and rhizomes with roots, which were harvested after the death of aerial parts of the plants. Raw material was crushed to the particles of 3-5 mm size. For extraction of biologically active substances from the cowslip leaves, the following solvents were investigated: 20 %, 40 %, 70 % ethanol and hot purified water (80 °C). The ratio of raw material : extractant was 1 : 10. Infused during the day at room temperature, with constant stirring; filtered and condensed on a rotary vacuum evaporator to a thick state at a temperature of 60-70 °C. To select the extractant to obtain substances from the cowslip rhizomes with roots we took 20 %, 30 %, 40 % ethanol. Additionally we received the extract with 20 % ethanol extraction, having moistened the raw material with 95 % ethanol. The ratio of raw material : extractant was 1 : 8. Infused during seven days with compulsory supply of extractant, stirring; filtered and condensed on a rotary vacuum evaporator. Quantitative determination of flavonoids, hydroxycinnamic acids, phenolic compounds and saponins was conducted with spectrophotometric method. The dry residue was determined by gravimetric method as required by State Pharmacopoeia of Ukraine (SPU), oxidative phenols were determined by permanganatometric method. Results and discussion . When studying the effect of extractant upon the degree of biologically active substances extraction from the cowslip leaves, we found that the maximum amount of hydroxycinnamic acids, oxidative phenols and saponins was extracted with ethanol 40 %, representing 25.5 %, 12.13 %, 3.25 % respectively; phenolic compounds and flavonoids – with ethanol 70 % (5.40 % and 12.70 %, respectively); extractive substances with cleared hot water (48.51 %). When extracting biologically active substances from the cowslip rhizomes with roots, we found that the maximum amount of hydroxycinnamic acids and flavonoids was extracted with ethanol 40 %, representing 7.93 % and 1.15 % respectively; phenolic compounds, oxidative phenols and saponins – with ethanol 30 % (2.57 %, 5.03 % and 5.25 % respectively). The content of extractive substances in the studied extracts from the cowslip rhizomes with the roots in all objects was approximately equal. Conclusions . We obtained the extracts from the cowslip leaves and rhizomes with the roots. Thick extract of leaves is a homogeneous viscous brown mass with a greenish tinge, with a bitter and salty taste, with a peculiar pleasant smell, soluble in water and insoluble in ethanol 96 %. Thick extract of rhizomes with roots is a homogeneous viscous dark brown mass, with a bitter taste, with a peculiar pleasant smell, soluble in water and insoluble in ethanol 96 %. It is established that the maximum amounts of hydroxycinnamic acids, oxidative phenols and saponins in extracts from the cowslip leaves was observed with 40 % ethanol extraction; phenolic compounds and flavonoids – 70 % ethanol; extractives – hot clean water. Thus, the optimal content of complex biologically active substances from the cowslip leaves provides 40 % ethanol solution. It is established that the maximum amount of hydroxycinnamic acids and flavonoids in extracts from the cowslip rhizomes with roots was observed with 40 % ethanol extraction; phenolic compounds, saponins, oxidative phenols, extractives – 30 % ethanol. Thus, the optimal content of complex biologically active substances from the cowslip rhizomes with roots provides 30 % ethanol solution.

Topicality . Stevia rebaudiana (Bertoni) Hemsley is a perennial plant that originates from Paraguay and southern Brazil. In Ukraine the plant is cultivated. Stevia is a natural low-calorie sweetener with a wide range of health care properties. It is used as a hypoglycemic, anticarcinogenic, antioxidant, bactericidal, antiviral, anti-inflammatory and antihypertensive agent. Aim . The aim of our study was to analyse the morphological and anatomical structure of Stevia rebaudiana (Bertoni) Hemsley leaves. Materials and methods . Stevia leaves were harvested on the research area of the cultural flora department of M. M. Gryshko National botanical garden NAS of Ukraine during the mass blossoming of plants in 2016. Specimens production was carried out by conventional methods. We used a microscope MC 10 (glasses X5, X10, 15, lenses X10, X40). Photomicrographs were made with a camera Samsung PL50. We analysed the agents of epidermis from the surface (edge, the middle of the upper and lower sides of the leaf blade, its cross cut), cross cuts of a petiole. Results and discussion . Morphological structure : leaves are opposite, short, without stipules, lanceolate or ovoid, with a serrated edge, gently wrapped down. Reticulated nervation. The leaf is more pubescent on the lower side, over the nerves and along the edge of the leaf blade. The leaves are more pubescent on the top of the plant. The colour of the leaf blade on top is green and on bottom is a little lighter. The taste is sweet, spicy with a slightly bitter aftertaste. The smell is pleasant, fragrant. Microscopic analysis: epidermis of a leaf blade is covered with multicellular hairs and glands. The cells of the upper epidermis are with thin, sinuous walls, few stomata, anisocytic type. Many simple hairs of different thickness and length. The cells of the lower epidermis have sinuous walls and stroke cuticle, many stomata. The anatomical structure of the blade is amfistomatic, dorsiventral. On cross cuts the petiole is oval, with a small notch on the adaxial side and with small side wings. The main area of the petiole takes parenchyma. The leading system of the petiole consists of five rounded vascular bundles: one central, two lateral of about the same size and two small, located closer to the wings of the petiole. Bundles are collateral, with a small area of the phloem, small, without the mechanical elements. The epidermis of a petiole is with hairs and glands. Conclusions . The main morphological and anatomical characteristics of Stevia rebaudiana (Bertoni) Hemsley leaves were found on the basis of macro and microscopic analysis, that were used during the drafting of the quality control methods project on a new herb “Stevia leaves”.

Цель работы ‒ установление качественного состава и определение количественного содержания жирных кислот катрана сердцелистного и катрана коктебельского листьев. Материалы и методы. Объекты для исследования ‒ катрана сердцелистного листья и катрана коктебельского листья. Сырье, предоставленное отделом культурной флоры Национального ботанического сада имени Н. Н. Гришко НАН Украины, заготовлено летом 2018 г. Качественный состав и количественное содержание жирных кислот определяли методом газовой хроматографии с масс-спектрометрией на хрoматoграфе Agilent 6890N с хромато-масс-спектрометрическим детектором 5973 inert (Agilent Technologies, США).Результаты. В катрана сердцелистного листьях обнаружили 7 жирных кислот: 4 насыщенные, 2 полиненасыщенные, 1 мононенасыщенная. Количественно преобладают α-линoленoвая (9,68 мг/г; 47,87 % от общего содержания всех идентифицированных жирных кислот), пальмитинoвая (4,88 мг/г; 24,14 %) и линoлевая (1,84 мг/г; 9,10 %) кислоты. Другие жирные кислоты составляют 18,89 %. Из 12 жирных кислoт, идентифицированных в катрана коктебельского листьях, 8 насыщенных, 2 полиненасыщенных, 2 мононенасыщенная. Количественно преобладают α-линоленовая (8,84 мг/г; 42,95 %), линолевая (2,36 мг/г; 11,47 %) и пальмитинoвая (4,53 мг/г; 22,01 %) кислоты.Выводы. Впервые методом газовой хроматографии с масс-спектрометрией установлен качественный состав и определено количественное содержание жирных кислот в катрана сердцелистного и катрана коктебельского листьях. В катрана сердцелистного листьях идентифицированы и установлено количественное содержание 7 жирных кислот; в катрана коктебельского ‒ 12. В исследуемых объектах преобладают α-линоленовая и линолевая кислоты., The aim of the research was to establish a qualitative composition and to determine the quantitative content of fatty acids of Crambe cordifolia Steven and Crambe koktebelica (Junge) N. Busch leaves.Materials and methods. Leaves of the Crambe cordifolia Steven and Crambe koktebelica (Junge) N. Busch were selected as the objects of the study. The raw materials were provided by the Department of cultural flora of M. Gryshko National Botanic Garden of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. The leaves were collected in summer 2018. The qualitative composition and quantitative content of fatty acids were determined by the method of gas chromatography with mass spectrometry using chromatograph Agilent 6890N with mass detector 5973 inert (Agilent Technologies, USA).Results. Seven fatty acids were found in the Crambe cordifolia Steven leaves, among which four are saturated, two are polyunsaturated, and one is monounsaturated. Quantitatively dominated α-linolenic (9.68 mg/g, 47.87 % of the total content of all identified fatty acids), palmitic (4.88 mg/g, 24.14%), and linoleic (1.84 mg/g; 9.10 %) acids. The other fatty acids were 18.89 %. Among the twelve fatty acids identified in the Crambe koktebelica (Junge) N. Busch leaves, eight belong to saturated, two to polyunsaturated and two to monounsaturated. Гришка НАН України, заготовлена влітку 2018 р. Якісний склад і кількісний вміст жирних кислот визначали методом газової хроматографії з мас-спектрометрією на хрoматoграфі Agilent 6890N із хрoматo-мас-спектрoметричним детектoрoм 5973 inert (Agilent Technologies, США).Результати. Introduction. In the world flora Gentianaceae family comprises approximately 100 genera and over 1800 species, among which 24 species, belonging to 6 genera, grow on theterritory ofUkraine. The plants of the family are predominant in subtropical and temperate warm areas of each hemisphere, and also distribute in the mountainous regions of the tropics. For medical purposes, basically, roots, less herb plants, have been used.There is not enough information in our accessible scientific sources of literature about the chemical composition of such representatives of the family Gentianaceae as Gentiana cruciata L. and Centaurium erythraea Rafn. Therefore, the aim of our study was to learn the content of organic acids, including ascorbic acid, and xanthones in these species.Research Methods. The detection of organic acids was performed by thin layer chromatography (TLC); the quantitative content was determined by titrimetric method of analysis. The quantitative content of ascorbic acid and xanthones was determined by spectrophotometric method using Lambda 25 Perkin Elmer spectrometer (USA) with wavelengths of 520 nm and 369 nm, respectively.Results and Discussion. As a result of TLC-analysis oxalic, citric and benzoic acids were identified in Centaurium erythraea Rafn, in Gentiana cruciata L. malic, salicylic, citric and tartaric acids were presented. Content of organic acids, ascorbic acid and xanthones in Centaurium erythraea Rafn was (1.27 ± 0.01) %, (0.37 ± 0.01) % and (1.10 ± 0.01) %, in Gentiana cruciata L. (1.13 ± 0.01)%, (0.51 ± 0.01)% and (0.82 ± 0.01)% respectively.Conclusions. Phytochemical analysis of plants of the family Gentianaceae was carried out. Oxalic, citric and benzoic acids were defined in Centaurium erythraea Rafn; in Gentiana cruciata L. malic, salicylic, citric and tartaric acids were identified by TLC method. The quantitative content of organic acids, which was determined by titrimetric method, was (1.13 ± 0.01) % in Gentiana cruciata L. and (1.27±0.01) % in Centaurium erythraea Rafn. The quantitative content of ascorbic acid, which was identified by spectrophotometric method, was (0.37 ± 0.01) % in Centaurium erythraea Rafn and in Gentiana cruciata L. – (0.51 ± 0.01) %. The quantitative content of xanthones in Centaurium erythraea Rafn was set at (1.10 ± 0.01) %; in Gentiana cruciata L. – (0.82 ± 0.01) %.

Introduction. Primrose or primula ( Primula L.) is a genus of Primulaceae family plants, which includes about 500 species, distributed throughout the globe. 67 species (according to some authors – 80) grow in the CIS countries, in Ukraine – nine of them; the most common is Primula veris . Primula veris L. is a medicinal, vitamin, nutritional, honeyed, dyeing and decorative plant. Its chemical composition is insufficiently studied despite the widespread usage of primula in medical practice. There is no information about research of saponins contents in leaves and underground organs of Primula veris of Ukrainian flora in the available sources of scientific literature. The aim of the study – to determine the content of saponins in leaves and rhizomes with roots of Primula veris . Research methods. Water and spirituous-water extracts of leaves and rhizomes with roots of Primula veris were studied for saponins content. The aqueous extract of primula was used for tests on foam formation and some sedimentary reactions. The determination of chemical nature of saponins was also done. Quantitative content of saponins was determined by spectrophotometric method on a spectrophotometer Lambda 25 UV at a wave length 381 nm with following conversion to aescin. Results and discussion. The emergence of stable foam and positive reactions with 10 % solution of basic lead acetate and 1 % alcoholic solution of cholesterol showed the presence of saponins in the leaves and rhizomes with roots of of the studied plant. It was found out during determining the chemical nature of saponins that the leaves and rhizomes with roots of Primula veris contain triterpene saponins – (1.27 ± 0.02) % and (3.69 ± 0.02) % respectively in conversion to aescin. Conclusion. It was experimentally proved that the leaves and rhizomes with roots of Primula veris contain triterpene saponins. For the first time it was defined quantitative content of saponins in leaves and underground organs of Primula veris from Ternopil region. The content of saponins in leaves was 1.27 %, in rhizomes with roots – 3.69 % in conversion to escin.

The aim of the work. Greater burnet (Sanguisorba officinalis L.) is a perennial herbaceous plant; underground organs are used in medicine as astringent and antihemorrhage remedy. Medicines from rhizomes and roots of S. officinalis are used in official medicine. In scientific references there is not enough information about pharmacognostic features of subterranean organs of greater burnet. So, the aim of out work was to study anatomy structure and to determine the main diagnostic signs of rhizomes and roots of the plant. Materials and Methods. Micro preparations were prepared using conventional methods. Microscope MC 10 (oculars X5, X10, X15, objectives X10, X40) was used. Micro photos were made with photo camera Samsung PL 50. Results and Discussion. Rhizome. The underground part of greater burnet is represented by perennial epigeogenic rhizome with adventitious roots. Rhizome becomes woody, loose and cave gradually. Anatomical structure of rhizome is characterized by the absence of bundles. Young rhizomes are covered by dark reddish-brown longitudinally wrinkled cork. Mature samples consolidated cork cells that appear to be exfoliated. Primary bark of young rhizomes is represented by the layers of grand-cellular parenchyma. Xylem and phloem are also significantly filled with parenchyma, permeated with expanded radial medullary rays. Simple and complex starch grains are accumulated in cells, druses are often seen. Dense ring of cambium is clearly determined. Vascular system is represented by vessels. Mechanical fibers are located separately arranged into small areas near the vessels or form continuous ring near the cambium. The core includes intercellular spaces, parenchymatous cells with starch grains and calcium oxalate druses. Root of greater burnet has secondary structure. The cork is multilayered; the rings are with brownish or yellowish content and also with several layers of cells without coloured content. The cambium zone is multilayered, dark and clearly visible. Xylem appears as radial. Tracheids are porous. Medullary rays are numerous. Simple oval and roundish small starch grains, druses and single prismatic or multilayered crystals of calcium oxalate are present in cells. The outer layer of cork of mature roots is thick, dark-brown with cracks; rings of xylem are clearly visible, medullary rays and bast fibers are numerous. Conclusions. The study of peculiarities of anatomical structure of young and mature underground organs from Sanguisorba officinalis was performed; the typical microscopic diagnostic features were determined.

Chemical composition of diuretic collection was studied. The presence of phenolic substances namely flavonoids, hydroxycinnamic acids and coumarines was proved. By HPLC method rutin, hiperoside, isoquercetin, luteolin, apigenin, coumarin, umbelliferon, scopoletin, chlorogenic, rosmarinic and ferulic acids were identified and their content was set.
