Abstract: Abstract We search for the radiative decays D + → γρ + and D + → γK *+ using 20.3 fb −1 of e + e − annihilation data collected at the center-of-mass energy s $$ \sqrt{s} $$ = 3.773 GeV by the BESIII detector operating at the BEPCII collider. No significant signals are observed, and the upper limits on the branching fractions of D + → γρ + and D + → γK *+ at 90% confidence level are set to be 1.3 × 10 −5 and 1.8 × 10 −5, respectively.

Abstract: Abstract Using 7.33 fb −1 of e + e − collision data samples collected with the BESIII detector at center-of-mass energies between 4.128 and 4.226 GeV, we search for the radiative decay D s + → γρ 770 + $$ {D}_s^{+}\to \gamma \rho {(770)}^{+} $$ for the first time. A hint of D s + → γρ 770 + $$ {D}_s^{+}\to \gamma \rho {(770)}^{+} $$ is observed with a statistical significance of 2.5σ. The branching fraction of D s + → γρ 770 + $$ {D}_s^{+}\to \gamma \rho {(770)}^{+} $$ is measured to be (2.2 ± 0.9stat. ± 0.2syst. ) × 10 −4, corresponding to an upper limit of 6.1 × 10 −4 at the 90% confidence level.

Abstract: Abstract Using e + e − collision data collected by the BESIII detector at BEPCII corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 30 fb −1, we measure Born cross sections and effective form factors for the process e + e − → Ξ 0 Ξ ¯ 0 $$ {e}^{+}{e}^{-}\to {\Xi}^0{\overline{\Xi}}^0 $$ at forty-five center-of-mass energies between 3.51 and 4.95 GeV. The dressed cross section is fitted, assuming a power-law function plus a charmonium(-like) state, i.e., ψ(3770), ψ(4040), ψ(4160), ψ(4230), ψ(4360), ψ(4415) or ψ(4660). No significant charmonium(-like) state decaying into Ξ 0 Ξ ¯ 0 $$ {\Xi}^0{\overline{\Xi}}^0 $$ is observed. Upper limits at the 90% confidence level on the product of the branching fraction and the electronic partial width are provided for each decay. In addition, ratios of the Born cross sections and the effective form factors for e + e − → Ξ 0 Ξ ¯ 0 $$ {e}^{+}{e}^{-}\to {\Xi}^0{\overline{\Xi}}^0 $$ and e + e − → Ξ − Ξ ¯ + $$ {e}^{+}{e}^{-}\to {\Xi}^{-}{\overline{\Xi}}^{+} $$ are also presented to test isospin symmetry and the vector meson dominance model.

Abstract: Abstract The branching fraction of D + → K S 0 π 0 e + ν e $$ {D}^{+}\to {K}_S^0{\pi}^0{e}^{+}{\nu}_e $$ is measured for the first time using 7.93 fb −1 of e + e − annihilation data collected at the center-of-mass energy s $$ \sqrt{s} $$ = 3.773 GeV with the BESIII detector operating at the BEPCII collider, and is determined to be B D + → K S 0 π 0 e + ν e = 0.881 ± 0.017 stat . ± 0.016 syst . % $$ \mathcal{B}\left({D}^{+}\to {K}_S^0{\pi}^0{e}^{+}{\nu}_e\right)=\left(0.881\pm {0.017}_{\textrm{stat}.}\pm {0.016}_{\textrm{syst}.}\right)\% $$ . Based on an analysis of the D + → K S 0 π 0 e + ν e $$ {D}^{+}\to {K}_S^0{\pi}^0{e}^{+}{\nu}_e $$ decay dynamics, we observe the S-wave and P-wave components with fractions of f S-wave = (6.13 ± 0.27stat. ± 0.30syst. )% and f K ¯ ∗ 892 0 = 93.88 ± 0.27 stat . ± 0.29 syst . % $$ {f}_{{\overline{K}}^{\ast }{(892)}^0}=\left(93.88\pm {0.27}_{\textrm{stat}.}\pm {0.29}_{\textrm{syst}.}\right)\% $$ , respectively. From these results, we obtain the branching fractions B D + → K S 0 π 0 S − wave e + ν e = 5.41 ± 0.35 stat . ± 0.37 syst . × 10 − 4 $$ \mathcal{B}\left({D}^{+}\to {\left({K}_S^0{\pi}^0\right)}_{S-\textrm{wave}}{e}^{+}{\nu}_e\right)=\left(5.41\pm {0.35}_{\textrm{stat}.}\pm {0.37}_{\textrm{syst}.}\right)\times {10}^{-4} $$ and B D + → K ¯ ∗ 892 0 e + ν e = 4.97 ± 0.11 stat . ± 0.12 syst . % $$ \mathcal{B}\left({D}^{+}\to {\overline{K}}^{\ast }{(892)}^0{e}^{+}{\nu}_e\right)=\left(4.97\pm {0.11}_{\textrm{stat}.}\pm {0.12}_{\textrm{syst}.}\right)\% $$ . In addition, the hadronic form-factor ratios of D + → K ¯ ∗ 892 0 e + ν e $$ {D}^{+}\to {\overline{K}}^{\ast }{(892)}^0{e}^{+}{\nu}_e $$ at q 2 = 0, assuming a single-pole dominance parameterization, are determined to be r V = V 0 A 1 0 = 1.43 ± 0.07 stat . ± 0.03 syst . $$ {r}_V=\frac{V(0)}{A_1(0)}=1.43\pm {0.07}_{\textrm{stat}.}\pm {0.03}_{\textrm{syst}.} $$ and r 2 = A 2 0 A 1 0 = 0.72 ± 0.06 stat . ± 0.02 syst . $$ {r}_2=\frac{A_2(0)}{A_1(0)}=0.72\pm {0.06}_{\textrm{stat}.}\pm {0.02}_{\textrm{syst}.} $$ .

Abstract: Abstract Using e + e − annihilation data sets corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 4.5 fb −1, collected with the BESIII detector at center-of-mass energies between 4.600 and 4.699 GeV, we report the first measurements of the absolute branching fractions B Λ c + → p K L 0 $$ \mathcal{B}\left({\Lambda}_c^{+}\to p{K}_L^0\right) $$ = (1.67 ± 0.06 ± 0.04)%, B Λ c + → p K L 0 π + π − $$ \mathcal{B}\left({\Lambda}_c^{+}\to p{K}_L^0{\pi}^{+}{\pi}^{-}\right) $$ = (1.69 ± 0.10 ± 0.05)%, and B Λ c + → p K L 0 π 0 $$ \mathcal{B}\left({\Lambda}_c^{+}\to p{K}_L^0{\pi}^0\right) $$ = (2.02 ± 0.13 ± 0.05)%, where the first uncertainties are statistical and the second systematic. Combining with the known branching fractions of Λ c + → p K S 0 $$ {\Lambda}_c^{+}\to p{K}_S^0 $$ , Λ c + → p K S 0 π + π − $$ {\Lambda}_c^{+}\to p{K}_S^0{\pi}^{+}{\pi}^{-} $$ , and Λ c + → p K S 0 π 0 $$ {\Lambda}_c^{+}\to p{K}_S^0{\pi}^0 $$ , we present the first measurements of the K S 0 $$ {K}_S^0 $$ - K L 0 $$ {K}_L^0 $$ asymmetries R Λ c + K S , L 0 X = B Λ c + → K S 0 X − B Λ c + → K L 0 X B Λ c + → K S 0 X + B Λ c + → K L 0 X $$ R\left({\Lambda}_c^{+},{K}_{S,L}^0X\right)=\frac{\mathcal{B}\left({\Lambda}_c^{+}\to {K}_S^0X\right)-\mathcal{B}\left({\Lambda}_c^{+}\to {K}_L^0X\right)}{\mathcal{B}\left({\Lambda}_c^{+}\to {K}_S^0X\right)+\mathcal{B}\left({\Lambda}_c^{+}\to {K}_L^0X\right)} $$ in charmed baryon decays: R Λ c + p K S , L 0 = − 0.025 ± 0.031 $$ R\left({\Lambda}_c^{+},p{K}_{S,L}^0\right)=-0.025\pm 0.031 $$ , R Λ c + p K S , L 0 π + π − = − 0.027 ± 0.048 $$ R\left({\Lambda}_c^{+},p{K}_{S,L}^0{\pi}^{+}{\pi}^{-}\right)=-0.027\pm 0.048 $$ and R Λ c + p K S , L 0 π 0 = − 0.015 ± 0.046 $$ R\left({\Lambda}_c^{+},p{K}_{S,L}^0{\pi}^0\right)=-0.015\pm 0.046 $$ . No significant asymmetries with statistical significance are observed.

Abstract: Abstract The processes h c → γP (P = η′, η, π 0) are studied with a sample of (27.12 ± 0.14) × 108 ψ(3686) events collected by the BESIII detector at the BEPCII collider. The decay h c → γη is observed for the first time with the significance of 9.0 σ, and the branching fraction is determined to be (3.77 ± 0.55 ± 0.13 ± 0.26) × 10 −4, while B $$ \mathcal{B} $$ (h c → γη′) is measured to be (1.40 ± 0.11 ± 0.04 ± 0.10) × 10 −3, where the first uncertainties are statistical, the second systematic, and the third from the branching fraction of ψ(3686) → π 0 h c . The combination of these results allows for a precise determination of R h c = B h c → γη B h c → γ η ′ , $$ {R}_{h_c}=\frac{\mathcal{B}\left({h}_c\to {\pi}^0\gamma \eta \right)}{\mathcal{B}\left({h}_c\to {\pi}^0\gamma {\eta}^{\prime}\right)}, $$ which is calculated to be (27.0 ± 4.4 ± 1.0)%. The results are valuable for gaining a deeper understanding of η − η′ mixing, and its manifestation within quantum chromodynamics. No significant signal is found for the decay h c → γπ 0, and an upper limit is placed on its branching fraction of B $$ \mathcal{B} $$ (h c → γπ 0) < 5.0 × 10 −5, at the 90% confidence level.

Abstract: Abstract Using e + e − collision data collected with the BESIII detector at the BEPCII collider at center-of-mass energies between 3.510 and 4.914 GeV, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 25 fb −1, we measure the Born cross sections for the process e + e − → K − Ξ ¯ + Λ / Σ 0 $$ {e}^{+}{e}^{-}\to {K}^{-}{\overline{\Xi}}^{+}\Lambda /{\Sigma}^0 $$ at thirty-five energy points with a partial-reconstruction strategy. By fitting the dressed cross sections of e + e − → K − Ξ ¯ + Λ / Σ 0 $$ {e}^{+}{e}^{-}\to {K}^{-}{\overline{\Xi}}^{+}\Lambda /{\Sigma}^0 $$ , evidence for ψ 4160 → K − Ξ ¯ + Λ $$ \psi (4160)\to {K}^{-}{\overline{\Xi}}^{+}\Lambda $$ is found for the first time with a significance of 4.4σ, including systematic uncertainties. No evidence for other possible resonances is found. In addition, the products of electronic partial width and branching fraction for all assumed resonances decaying into K − Ξ ¯ + Λ / Σ 0 $$ {K}^{-}{\overline{\Xi}}^{+}\Lambda /{\Sigma}^0 $$ are determined.

Abstract: Abstract Using e + e − collision data collected at the BESIII detector at center-of-mass energies between 4.128 and 4.226 GeV, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 7.33 fb −1, we determine the absolute branching fractions of fifteen hadronic D s + $$ {D}_s^{+} $$ decays with a double-tag technique. In particular, we make precise measurements of the branching fractions B D s + → K + K − π + = 5.49 ± 0.04 ± 0.07 % $$ \mathcal{B}\left({D}_s^{+}\to {K}^{+}{K}^{-}{\pi}^{+}\right)=\left(5.49\pm 0.04\pm 0.07\right)\% $$ , B D s + → K S 0 K + = 1.50 ± 0.01 ± 0.01 % $$ \mathcal{B}\left({D}_s^{+}\to {K}_S^0{K}^{+}\right)=\left(1.50\pm 0.01\pm 0.01\right)\% $$ and B D s + → K + K − π + π 0 = 5.50 ± 0.05 ± 0.11 % $$ \mathcal{B}\left({D}_s^{+}\to {K}^{+}{K}^{-}{\pi}^{+}{\pi}^0\right)=\left(5.50\pm 0.05\pm 0.11\right)\% $$ , where the first uncertainties are statistical and the second ones are systematic. The CP asymmetries in these decays are also measured and all are found to be compatible with zero.

Abstract: Abstract Using 24.1 fb −1 of e + e − collision data collected with the BESIII detector at the BEPCII collider, the Born cross sections and effective form factors of the e + e − → Σ + Σ ¯ − $$ {e}^{+}{e}^{-}\to {\Sigma}^{+}{\overline{\Sigma}}^{-} $$ reaction are measured. The measurements are performed at center-of-mass energies ranging from 3.510 to 4.951 GeV. No significant evidence for the decay of the charmonium(-like) states, ψ(3770), ψ(4040), ψ(4160), Y(4230), Y(4360), ψ(4415), and Y(4660), into a Σ + Σ ¯ − $$ {\Sigma}^{+}{\overline{\Sigma}}^{-} $$ final state is observed. Consequently, upper limits for the products of the branching fractions and the electronic partial widths at the 90% confidence level are reported for these decays.

Abstract: Abstract Using (27.12 ± 0.14) × 108 ψ(3686) events collected by the BESIII detector at the center-of-mass energy of s $$ \sqrt{s} $$ = 3.686 GeV, we search for the first time for two nonleptonic hyperon decays that change strangeness by two units, Ω − → Σ0 π − and Ω − → nK − . No significant signal is observed. The upper limits on their decay branching fractions are determined to be B $$ \mathcal{B} $$ (Ω − → Σ0 π − ) < 5.4 × 10 −4 and B $$ \mathcal{B} $$ (Ω − → nK − ) < 2.4 × 10 −4 at the 90% confidence level.

Abstract: The isothermal section of the Al-Mn-In ternary phase diagram at 773 K was investigated by powder x-ray diffraction (XRD). The 773 K isothermal section of this ternary system consists of 10 single-phase regions, 12 two-phase regions and 8 three-phase regions. Six binary compounds, i.e. Mn3In, Al8Mn5, Al11Mn4, λ-Al4Mn, μ-Al4Mn and Al6Mn in the Al-Mn-In system were confirmed to exist at 773 K. The binary compound Al12Mn is not observed at 773 K. No ternary compounds were found in this work. The compound Al8Mn5 forms a continuous series of solid solutions. The single phases α-Mn and β-Mn also form extended solid solutions. At 773 K, the maximum solid solubility of Al in γ2 (Al8Mn5), β-Mn and α-Mn are about 60.33, 36.78 and 1.54 at. % Al, respectively. Excess doping with In promotes the decomposition of the metastable τ-MnAl phase into nonmagnetic phases. The XRD result suggests that some of In atoms do not actually enter the crystal lattice of τ-MnAl. In doping improved the coercivity of the τ-MnAl alloys at the expense of saturation magnetization.

Abstract: Abstract We report multi-differential measurements of strange hadron production ranging from mid- to target-rapidity in Au+Au collisions at a center-of-momentum energy per nucleon pair of s NN $$ \sqrt{s_{\textrm{NN}}} $$ = 3 GeV with the STAR experiment at RHIC. K S 0 $$ {K}_S^0 $$ meson and Λ hyperon yields are measured via their weak decay channels. Collision centrality and rapidity dependences of the transverse momentum spectra and particle ratios are presented. Particle mass and centrality dependence of the average transverse momenta of Λ and K S 0 $$ {K}_S^0 $$ are compared with other strange particles, providing evidence of the development of hadronic rescattering in such collisions. The 4π yields of each of these strange hadrons show a consistent centrality dependence. Discussions on radial flow, the strange hadron production mechanism, and properties of the medium created in such collisions are presented together with results from hadronic transport and thermal model calculations.

14. Factors affecting the first-born child's attitude toward the second child in Shanghai

Abstract: This study aimed to investigate factors associated with the attitude of the first-born child (FBC) towards the birth of the second child in China, in order to provide guidance for the preparation of a multi-child family.A questionnaire, including requesting information for gender, age, health, parents' education and household income, was randomly distributed participating FBCs. The anxiety level, psychological, emotional and behavioral manifestations of the FBCs were evaluated. F-test and t-test were performed to identify significant factors associated with the FBC's attitude towards the second child. Out of the 65 surveys distributed, 61 were recovered and analyzed.Our analysis indicated that female FBCs (total score vs. male, 45.38±4.02 vs. 42.95±4.29, p=0.031) with parents of higher education (p=0.020 in psychological and p=0.025 in behavioral manifestations) were in general more receptive to the second child. The FBC's health, school years and household income were not significant factors associated with their attitude towards the second child (p0.05). Our analysis also found that the FBC's attitude towards the arrival of the second child was largely positive, and older children with parents of higher education were more likely to be receptive to the second child.The findings of this study could provide guidance for parents to better prepare the psychological, emotional and behavioral states of the FBCs and family, enabling the FBCs with a positive attitude towards the second child. This finding is instrumental to promote a harmonious family atmosphere and growth environment for both the first- and second-born children.

Abstract: The new high strength, toughness and low density steel is a new generation of lightweight material with high protection, which is based on the theory of lattice dilution and lattice distortion and is manufactured by adding light elements to reduce its density. Furthermore, after impact process, the composite effects such as transformation induced plasticity (TRIP) effect, twinning induced plasticity (TWIP) effect, microbands induced plasticity (MBIP) effect and phase transformation precipitation occur in the microstructure. The specific strength and specific stiffness are better than those of aluminum, magnesium and titanium alloys, and the modulus is 3 times that of aluminum alloy and 2 times that of titanium alloy. Preliminary research shows that the application of low density steel in artillery system can greatly reduce the production cost. On the basis that all technical and tactical indexes meet the design requirements, it can realize lightweight, long-distance strategic delivery and battlefield real-time repair.

18. Influence of transformer leakage inductance on DC high current generator

Abstract: The efficiency is affected by the parameters of components in the DC high current generator. The leakage inductance of the rectifier transformer will affect the output and filtering effect of the device and reduce the power quality of the public network. To improve the output and filtering effect of the DC high current generator, the 3-phase 6-pulsation rectifier bridge arm with the transformer T-type equivalent circuit is proposed. Through the topology model of each conduction state circuit of the semiconductor components, the expressions of load output, high-order harmonic content, and transformer leakage inductance are calculated. Then the actual generator is simulated in the MATLAB-Simulink module and variation law between the primary and secondary side leakage inductance and the output DC voltage, the total harmonic distortion(THD), and the fifth harmonic content rate is obtained. Finally, the output waveform is analyzed under the rated condition. The results show that the influence of transformer leakage inductance on output efficiency and high order harmonic filtering effect can be obtained by the proposed calculation method, and the simulation results verify the validity and correctness of the theoretical analysis.

Abstract: The chiral magnetic effect (CME) is a phenomenon that arises from the QCD anomaly in the presence of an external magnetic field. The experimental search for its evidence has been one of the key goals of the physics program of the Relativistic Heavy-Ion Collider. The STAR Collaboration has previously presented the results of a blind analysis of isobar collisions (_{44}^{96}Ru+_{44}^{96}Ru, _{40}^{96}Zr+_{40}^{96}Zr) in the search for the CME. The isobar ratio (Y) of CME-sensitive observable, charge separation scaled by elliptic anisotropy, is close to but systematically larger than the inverse multiplicity ratio, the naive background baseline. This indicates the potential existence of a CME signal and the presence of remaining nonflow background due to two- and three-particle correlations, which are different between the isobars. In this postblind analysis, we estimate the contributions from those nonflow correlations as a background baseline to Y, utilizing the isobar data as well as Heavy Ion Jet Interaction Generator simulations. This baseline is found consistent with the isobar ratio measurement, and an upper limit of 10% at 95% confidence level is extracted for the CME fraction in the charge separation measurement in isobar collisions at sqrt[s_{NN}]=200 GeV.

20. MicroRNA-487a promotes proliferation of esophageal cancer cells by inhibiting p62 expression

Abstract: MicroRNAs are endogenous, non-coding, small RNAs that can regulate biological processes. Previous studies have found that microRNA-487a serves as an oncogene. However, the role of microRNA-487a in esophageal cancer (EC) has not been reported. The aim of this investigation was to investigate the biological role of microRNA-487a in EC and its underlying mechanism.The expression of microRNA-487a in 65 pairs of EC tissues and para-cancerous tissues was detected by quantitative Real Time-Polymerase Chain Reaction (qRT-PCR). Chi-square test was used to analyze the relationship between microRNA-487a expression with age, sex, clinical stage and distant metastasis of OS patients. Kaplan-Meier survival analysis was conducted to evaluate the correlation between microRNA-487a expression and prognosis of EC patients. Subsequently, microRNA-487a expression in EC cell lines was detected as well. After microRNA-487a knockdown, cell counting kit-8 (CCK-8), EdU and transwell assay were conducted to evaluate the role of microRNA-487a in the biological performances of EC cells, respectively. Meanwhile, the apoptosis of EC cells was determined using flow cytometry. Finally, the interaction between microRNA-487a and p62 was explored by Western blot. Transwell assay was carried out in EC cells co-transfected with p62 overexpression plasmid and si-microRNA-487a.Compared with para-cancerous tissues, microRNA-487a expression was significantly higher in EC tissues, and the difference was statistically significant. MicroRNA-487a was highly expressed in EC cells as well. Low expression of microRNA-487a was positively correlated with clinical stage, whereas was not correlated with age, sex, lymph node metastasis and distant metastasis of EC patients. Kaplan-Meier survival curves showed that high expression of microRNA-487a was markedly associated with poor prognosis of EC. The knockdown of microRNA-487a significantly inhibited proliferative, migratory and invasive abilities of EC cells but induced cell apoptosis. Western blot results showed that the protein expression of p62 was remarkably upregulated after microRNA-478a knockdown in EC cells. Transwell assay demonstrated that co-transfection with overexpression plasmid of p62 and si-microRNA-487a in EC cells markedly decreased invasive and migratory abilities.MicroRNA-487a is highly expressed in EC and is closely correlated with clinical stage and poor prognosis of EC. Our findings confirm that microRNA-487a promotes malignant progression of EC by regulating p62 expression.

Abstract: With the popularization of high-power power electronic switching equipment and the technical update of electrical equipment, voltage sags have become a major problem affecting power quality, which seriously affects the reliability of power supply in power systems. In the case where the voltage sags failure cannot be avoided, rapid and accurate detection of the voltage sag has become a key technology for improving the reliability of the power supply of the power system. Based on the symmetrical component method, an improved detection algorithm for three-phase unbalanced voltage sag is proposed in this paper, which can significantly improve the detection speed and the reliability of power supply. The method firstly constructs the virtual orthogonal signal of the grid voltage and uses the symmetric component method to realize the fast and accurate extraction of the positive and negative sequence components of the grid voltage fundamental. In addition, an improved method for constructing virtual orthogonal signals is proposed in this paper, which effectively improves the accuracy of the constructed orthogonal signals. Finally, the feasibility and priority of the improved detection method have been verified by MATLAB/Simulink.

Abstract: Our study aimed to investigate the role of lncRNA-Neighboring Enhancer of FOXA2 (NEF) in esophageal squamous-cell carcinoma.Tumor tissues and adjacent tissues were obtained from esophageal squamous-cell carcinoma patients, and blood samples were extracted from both patients with esophageal squamous-cell carcinoma and healthy volunteers. The expression of NEF was detected by quantitative Real-Time Polymerase Chain Reaction (qRT-PCR). All patients were followed-up for 5 years and ROC curve analysis and survival analysis were performed to evaluate the diagnostic and prognostic values of serum NEF for esophageal squamous-cell carcinoma. NEF expression vector was transfected into cells of esophageal squamous-cell carcinoma cell lines. Cell proliferation, migration and invasion were detected by CCK-8 assay, transwell migration assay, and transwell invasion assay, respectively. The interaction between NEF and wnt/β-catenin pathway were explored by Western blot and qRT-PCR.Expression of NEF was significantly downregulated in tumor tissues than in adjacent tissues in most patients. Serum level of NEF was higher in esophageal squamous-cell carcinoma patients than in healthy controls, and was significantly correlated with tumor size and tumor distant tumor metastasis. Serum NEF is a promising diagnostic and prognostic marker for esophageal squamous-cell carcinoma. NEF overexpression inhibited cancer cell proliferation, migration and invasion. NEF overexpression decreased the expression levels of wnt/β-catenin pathway-related proteins, while Wnt activator showed no significant effects on NEF. However, Wnt inhibitor reduced the effects of NEF overexpression on cell proliferation, migration and invasion.LncRNA NEF may inhibit the proliferation, migration and invasion of esophageal squamous-cell carcinoma cells by inactivating with wnt/β-catenin pathway.

Abstract: Elderly uremia frequently refers to the end stage of various chronic kidney diseases that threats the patients' health seriously. Enteral nutrition can reduce complications, while the molecular mechanism is still unclear. Mitochondrial protein Bim plays an essential role in regulating inflammation, restraining oxidative stress, and maintaining the balance of the mitochondrial membrane potential and energy production. This study aims to investigate the effect of Bim on the early diagnosis and prognosis of the elderly uremia with gastrointestinal nutrition combined with dialysis.Elderly patients with uremia in our hospital were selected and divided into parenteral nutrition group, enteral nutrition group, and regular treatment group. Healthy volunteers were chosen as the control group. Blood oxygen free radicals were tested by flow cytometry. Blood immune function parameter C-reactive protein and IL-6 levels were determined by Western blot. Bim expression in blood was evaluated by RT-PCR and Western blot. Correlation analysis was performed between Bim level and the prognosis of elderly patients with uremia who received gastrointestinal nutrition therapy.Blood oxygen free radical level was significantly higher in parenteral nutrition group and regular treatment group compared with enteral nutrition group (p0.05). C-reactive protein and IL-6 contents were significantly reduced in parenteral nutrition group and regular treatment group compared to those in enteral nutrition group (p0.05). The expression of Bim at both mRNA and protein levels was declined in elderly patients with uremia after enteral nutrition combined with dialysis therapy to the normal level. The level of Bim was positively correlated with the severity of elderly uremia.Bim is positively correlated with the severity of elderly uremia, which can be set as a potential specific biomarker, along with reactive oxygen radicals, CRP, IL-6, for the prognosis of elderly uremia.

Abstract: Abstract We report a new measurement of the production of electrons from open heavy-flavor hadron decays (HFEs) at mid-rapidity (|y| < 0.7) in Au+Au collisions at s NN $$ \sqrt{s_{\textrm{NN}}} $$ = 200 GeV. Invariant yields of HFEs are measured for the transverse momentum range of 3.5 < p T < 9 GeV/c in various configurations of the collision geometry. The HFE yields in head-on Au+Au collisions are suppressed by approximately a factor of 2 compared to that in p + p collisions scaled by the average number of binary collisions, indicating strong interactions between heavy quarks and the hot and dense medium created in heavy-ion collisions. Comparison of these results with models provides additional tests of theoretical calculations of heavy quark energy loss in the quark-gluon plasma.

Abstract: The main problems with the sintered NdFeB magnets are their bad formability, low oxidation resistance, and poor temperature stability. Relatively large grain size, typically more than 3 mm, is also not beneficial to the high coercivity. Current efforts are directed to improve the magnetic properties and reduce the cost of NdFeB magnets by compositional modification, microstructure optimization, and new process employment. Spark plasma sintering (SPS) is one of the novel sintering techniques for preparing NdFeB magnets in a laboratory scale. Low sintering temperature and short holding time make it possible to sinter nanocrystalline NdFeB powders into fully dense bulk magnet. However, it is still not possible to completely avoid the grain coarsening, which leads to inevitable decrease of coercivity. To improve coercivity, the magnetic powders can be mixed with some metal powders such as Cu and Zn, which are beneficial for densification during SPS. Another effective way to enhance the coercivity is to add the powdered Dy compounds. In this paper, we report the effects of separated and combined Dy 2 O 3 and Zn additions on the magnetic properties, microstructure and thermal stability of SPSed nanocrystalline NdFeB magnets.

Abstract: It has been postulated that increased operator workload during task performance may increase fatigue and surgical errors. The National Aeronautics and Space Administration—Task Load Index (NASA-TLX) is a validated tool for self-assessment for workload. Our study aims to assess the relationship of workload and performance of novices in simulated laparoscopic tasks of different complexity levels before and after training. Forty-seven novices without prior laparoscopic experience were recruited in a trial to investigate whether training improves task performance as well as mental workload. The participants were tested on three standard tasks (ring transfer, precision cutting and intracorporeal suturing) in increasing complexity based on the Fundamentals of Laparoscopic Surgery (FLS) curriculum. Following a period of training and rest, participants were tested again. Test scores were computed from time taken and time penalties for precision errors. Test scores and NASA-TLX scores were recorded pre- and post-training and analysed using paired t tests. One-way repeated measures ANOVA was used to analyse differences in NASA-TLX scores between the three tasks. NASA-TLX score was lowest with ring transfer and highest with intracorporeal suturing. Abstract: In this study, mesoporous materials-41 were synthesised at room temperature using a cationic surfactant cetyltrimethylammonium bromide as the template agent. Then, the mesoporous materials-41/unsaturated polyester resin materials were prepared by in situ polymerisation with the mesoporous MCM-41. Then, mesoporous materials-41/unsaturated polyester resin in situ composites were prepared by roller, milling and molding processes. The effects of the mesoporous materials-41 on the mechanical and electrical properties of the mesoporous materials-41/unsaturated polyester resin composites were investigated. The results show that the mesoporous materials-41 had a diameter in the range of 4–5 nm and the pores were highly ordered. The mechanical and electrical insulation properties of composites were improved by the addition of mesoporous materials-41. For instance, the impact strength and flexural strength of composites were increased by 29·6 and 25·25% at 2 wt-% mesoporous materials-41 loading, respectively.

Abstract: Abstract Partons traversing the strongly interacting medium produced in heavy-ion collisions are expected to lose energy depending on their color charge and mass. We measure the nuclear modification factors for charm- and bottom-decay electrons, defined as the ratio of yields, divided by the number of binary nucleon–nucleon collisions, in $$\sqrt{s_{\textrm{NN}}}=200$$ s NN = 200 GeV Au+Au collisions to p+p collisions ( $$R_{\textrm{AA}}$$ R AA ), or in central to peripheral Au+Au collisions ( $$R_{\textrm{CP}}$$ R CP ). We find the bottom-decay electron $$R_{\textrm{AA}}$$ R AA and $$R_{\textrm{CP}}$$ R CP to be significantly higher than those of charm-decay electrons. Model calculations including mass-dependent parton energy loss in a strongly coupled medium are consistent with the measured data. These observations provide evidence of mass ordering of charm and bottom quark energy loss when traversing through the strongly coupled medium created in heavy-ion collisions.

Abstract: The aim of this study is to evaluate the volume differences between contrast-enhanced CT-based left ventricle (LV) and PET-CT-based LV and assess the impact of dose on the substructure volume differences in patients with left breast cancer treated with adjuvant radiotherapy. From October 2008 to February 2009, 14 patients with post-operatively confirmed left breast cancer were enrolled in the current study. The patients were scanned using contrast-enhanced CT for simulation, and 18F-FDG PET-CT was employed to display the structure of the left ventricle of each before radiotherapy (RT). The LV was delineated based on both contrast-enhanced CT and PET-CT. And other substructures, such as the left anterior descending coronary artery (LAD), were contoured in each patient, with the six-field simple intensity modulated radiotherapy (sIMRT) technique created for all. The mean volumes of the left ventricle based on contrast-enhanced CT (LV-CT) and PET-CT (LV-PET) were found to be 107.296 cm3 and 112.931 cm3, respectively ( p = 0.06). The volume of LV receiving ≥50% prescription dose was significantly correlated with the volume of the heart receiving the same dosage (γ = 0.869). There was less correlation between the volume of LAD and that of the heart under the same condition (γ = 0.22). As a conclusion, the left ventricle can be delineated effectively based on the image of PET-CT, the contrast-enhanced CT based LV can serve as an appropriate alternative. Moreover, the volume of LV receiving high dose in RT closely correlated with the volume of the heart using sIMRT technique, which may pave the way for further exploring radiation-induced cardiac injuries in patients with left breast cancer.

Abstract: The bodies found in water are one of the most common types in forensic practice. The discovery site of the body is often not the drowning site. However, the determination of drowning site is vital for the identification of victim. Inorganic particles and planktons, such as granular impurities, diatoms and bacteria, are valuable markers for the diagnosis of drowning. By comparing the granular impurities and planktons in tissues and suspicious drowning mediums, the drowning site can be concluded based on their similarity of types and distribution, which has practical applied value. In this paper, the research progress on determination of drowning site is summarized to provide reference for the peers.

Abstract: The deconfined quark-gluon plasma (QGP) created in relativistic heavy-ion collisions enables the exploration of the fundamental properties of matter under extreme conditions. Noncentral collisions can produce strong magnetic fields on the order of 10^{18} G, which offers a probe into the electrical conductivity of the QGP. In particular, quarks and antiquarks carry opposite charges and receive contrary electromagnetic forces that alter their momenta. This phenomenon can be manifested in the collective motion of final-state particles, specifically in the rapidity-odd directed flow, denoted as v_{1}(y). Here, we present the charge-dependent measurements of dv_{1}/dy near midrapidities for π^{±}, K^{±}, and p(p[over ¯]) in Au+Au and isobar (_{44}^{96}Ru+_{44}^{96}Ru and _{40}^{96}Zr+_{40}^{96}Zr) collisions at sqrt[s_{NN}]=200 GeV, and in Au+Au collisions at 27 GeV, recorded by the STAR detector at the Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider. The combined dependence of the v_{1} signal on collision system, particle species, and collision centrality can be qualitatively and semiquantitatively understood as several effects on constituent quarks. While the results in central events can be explained by the u and d quarks transported from initial-state nuclei, those in peripheral events reveal the impacts of the electromagnetic field on the QGP. Our data put valuable constraints on the electrical conductivity of the QGP in theoretical calculations.

Abstract: The paper is systematically explained the definition, contents of universal health coverage (UHC). Universal health coverage calls for all people to have access to quality health services they need without facing undue financial burden. The relationship between five main attributes, i.e., quality, efficiency, equity, accountability and resilience, and their 15 action plans has been explained. The nature of UHC is belonged to the State and government. The core function is commitment with equality. The whole-of-system method is used to promoting the health system reform. In China, the universal health coverage has been reached to the preliminary achievements, which include universal coverage of social medical insurance, basic medical services, basic public health services, and the provision of essential medicines. China has completed millennium development goals (MDG) and is being stepped to the sustainable development goals (SDG).

44. Total hip replacement for developmental dysplasia of hip and postoperative nursing

Abstract: This study was designed to determine the clinical effect of total hip replacement for the treatment of developmental dysplasia of the hip (DDH) and analyze the postoperative nursing. Sixty patients (78 hips) aged 18-75 years (average 58.6±2.31 years) who received total hip replacement for treatment of DDH at the Zhengzhou Peoples Hospital, Henan, China, from April 2013 to June 2016 were selected as research subjects. Twenty-four patients were male (30 hips) and 36 were female (48 hips). Of the 60 patients, according to Crowe typing, 24 were type I (30 hips), 26 were type II (34 hips), 6 were type III (8 hips) and 4 were type IV (6 hips). According to the Harris hip score system, the score of all hips was 39.46±3.56 points average (18-56 points) before treatment and resulted as 89.60±4.25 points (79-98 points) at the last follow-up, showing a statistically significant difference (P0.05). Complications such as wound infection, dislocation, fracture of femoral shaft, femoral nerve and injury of sciatic nerve were not found after treatment. A total of 48 cases (58 hips) obtained excellent curative results (93.33% recovery), 8 cases (14 hips) good (92.31% recovery), and 4 cases (6 hips) medium. Total hip replacement proved to be effective in treating DDH and secondary osteoarthritis. Moreover, soft tissue release and an optimum degree recovery of anatomic form and physiological function of the diseased hip is an important basis for reconstructing the acetabulum and stabilizing acetabulum prosthesis.

45. Moisture retention of glycerin solutions with various concentrations: a comparative study

Abstract: Abstract Various methods of evaluating a humectant’s moisture retention have unique mechanisms. Hence, for designing advanced or efficient ingredients of cosmetic products, a clear understanding of differences among methods is required. The aim of this study was to analyze the moisture-retention capacity of glycerin, a common ingredient in cosmetic products. Specifically, this study applied gravimetric analysis, transepidermal water loss (TEWL) analysis, and differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) to examine the evaporation of glycerin solutions of different concentrations. The results revealed that the moisture-retention capacity of glycerin increased with the glycerin concentration from 0 to 60 wt%, and glycerin at concentration of 60–70 wt% did not exhibit weight change during the evaporation process. When the glycerin concentration exceeded 70 wt%, moisture sorption occurred in the glycerin solution. Furthermore, the results revealed a deviation between the evaporation rates measured using gravimetric analysis and those measured using TEWL analysis. However, normalizing the results of these analyses yielded the relative evaporation rates to water, which were consistent between these two analyses. DSC thermograms further confirmed the consistent results and identified two hydrated water microstructures (nonfreezable water and free water) in the glycerin solutions, which explained why the measured evaporation rate decreased with the glycerin concentration. These findings can be applied to prove the moisture-retention capacity of a humectant in cosmetic products by different measuring methods.

Abstract: The two-dimensional (2D) kinetic ballooning theory is developed for the ion temperature gradient mode in an up-down symmetric equilibrium (illustrated via concentric circular magnetic surfaces). The ballooning transform converts the basic 2D linear gyro-kinetic equation into two equations: (1) the lowest order equation (ballooning equation) is an integral equation essentially the same as that reported by Dong et al., [Phys. Fluids B 4, 1867 (1992)] but has an undetermined Floquet phase variable, (2) the higher order equation for the rapid phase envelope is an ordinary differential equation in the same form as the 2D ballooning theory in a fluid model [Xie et al., Phys. Plasmas 23, 042514 (2016)]. The system is numerically solved by an iterative approach to obtain the (phase independent) eigen-value. The new results are compared to the two earlier theories. We find a strongly modified up-down asymmetric mode structure, and non-trivial modifications to the eigen-value.

Abstract: Site-directed mutagenesis was used to study the biological significance of three N-linked glycans (linked to Asn406, Asn448, and Asn463), situated in the CD4-binding region of gp120. Mutagenesis was carried out in a phage M13 system, and the mutated env genes were inserted into recombinant vaccinia virus (r-vaccinia virus). To evaluate if the level of expression affected the biological phenotype of mutant gp120, we expressed the envelope glycoproteins using either a weak (7.5 K) or a strong (11 K) promoter of vaccinia virus. The expression of mutated env proteins was analyzed after infecting CD4-expressing HeLa cells with the r-vaccinia virus, by monitoring the ability of the infected cells to generate CD4-dependent syncytia. Env gene products lacking all three glycans as well as env gene products lacking different permutations of one or two glycans were analyzed. All mutated gp120 species had the expected electrophoretical mobility as anticipated from elimination of one, two, and three N-linked glycans, respectively. Moreover, all mutant env gene products demonstrated the same capacity to induce formation of syncytia, irrespective of using the weak or strong promoter for expression. These data indicate that the three N-linked glycans studied are dispensable for HIV env gene products to function in CD4-binding and the subsequent fusion step.
