Vasos comunicantes entre los grados en Diseño y Bellas Artes de la UCM Laboratorios transdisciplinares: #2 La lectura inspiradora del diseño editorial, la ilustración y el fanzine. Ida y vuelta de lo digital a lo manual es un proyecto de innovación docente desarrollado en la Facultad de Bellas Artes durante el curso 2023-2024 y que trata de vincular los grados de Bellas Artes y Diseño a través de proyectos en común en torno al diseño editorial, la ilustración y el fanzine.

El proyecto se centró en crear un atlas fotográfico digital y físico de órganos sanos para estudiantes de Veterinaria, con el objetivo de mejorar la identificación de lesiones durante las necropsias y fomentar el aprendizaje autónomo. A raíz de la pandemia de COVID-19, se incorporaron tecnologías digitales en la docencia, lo que subrayó la necesidad de herramientas didácticas innovadoras en el Grado en Veterinaria, que tiene una elevada carga práctica. Para realizar el atlas se recopilaron y clasificaron imágenes de órganos sanos de diferentes fuentes, se creó un espacio en el Campus Virtual para mostrar el atlas en su versión digital, y paralelamente las imágenes se imprimieron y plastificaron para su uso en la sala de necropsias. Finalmente, se realizó una evaluación de la eficacia del atlas en ambos formatos mediante encuestas anónimas a los estudiantes. Los resultados preliminares fueron difundidos internacionalmente en el VII Congreso Español y I Hispano-Portugués de Docencia Veterinaria organizado por la Asociación Española de Docentes Veterinarios (VetDoc). Los resúmenes de los trabajos, además de en el libro de resúmenes del congreso, serán publicados en la revista Frontiers in Veterinary Science. La recopilación de imágenes resultó desafiante, pero se logró recopilar una suficiente cantidad de imágenes de las especies canina, felina, equina, porcina, bovina y de pequeños rumiantes. La implementación en el Campus Virtual facilitó el acceso continuo al recurso, mientras que la versión física fue esencial para las prácticas en la sala de necropsias. La evaluación del proyecto, a través de encuestas anónimas, mostró que los estudiantes apreciaron y utilizaron el atlas en ambos formatos, destacando su utilidad para otras asignaturas y su efectividad en mejorar el proceso de enseñanza y aprendizaje. La preferencia general fue por el formato digital, aunque el físico también fue muy valorado en las prácticas. En conclusión, el proyecto no solo mejoró la enseñanza

This study analyzes the transition from Primary to Secondary Education from preadolescents´ perspective and compares it with that of families and Primary and Secondary teachers. For this, a qualitative methodology based on open questionnaires and discussion groups was used. The findings reveal the ambivalence experienced by students during this transition, highlighting their main concerns, satisfactions, and difficulties, and how this ambivalence is perceived by their families. Furthermore, it presents the different vision of the process that teachers from both stages held, because of the different teaching culture of Primary and Secondary Education. The paper concludes by emphasizing the importance of giving a more significant role to students in the planning process. In this regard, the study advocates for the implementation not only of support structures, but also mechanisms for active listening., Este trabajo analiza la transición de Educación Primaria a Secundaria desde el punto de vista de los y las preadolescentes y lo contrasta con el de familias y docentes de ambas etapas. Para ello, se utiliza una metodología cualitativa basada en cuestionarios abiertos y grupos de discusión. Los resultados ponen de manifiesto la ambivalencia con la que el alumnado vive la transición, así como sus principales preocupaciones, satisfacciones y dificultades, y cómo esta ambivalencia es captada por sus familiares. Se recoge también la distinta visión del proceso que tienen los docentes de ambas etapas, fruto de la distinta cultura docente de Primaria y Secundaria. Terminamos haciendo hincapié en la necesidad de otorgar un papel más relevante al estudiantado en la planificación del proceso, y para ello, recomendamos la implementación no solo de estructuras de apoyo, sino también de escucha activa.

SECTOR DE LA TÉCNICA La presente invención se encuadra en el sector de la biomedicina. Más concretamente, se refiere al aislamiento y cultivo de células troncales neurales y progenitores neurales 10 (CTN/CPN) a partir del cultivo de tejido cortical ovárico., Método para obtener células troncales neurales y células progenitoras neurales a partir de tejido cortical ovárico no embrionario. The level of agreement between the two methods was also investigated.. Methods: In two separate sessions, negative and positive fusional vergence ranges (NFV and PFV, respectively) were measured at distance and near in 61 young adults (mean age 19.74, S.D. 2.5 years) who were unfamiliar with the methods used. Base-in and base-out blur, break and recovery points were sequentially determined. Both sets of measurements were obtained by the same examiner. At each distance, NFV was determined first and then PFV. The repeatability of the tests and agreement between measurements made with the phoropter rotary prisms and the prism bar were estimated by the Bland and Altman method. Results: For both the phoropter rotary prisms and prism bar, NFV measurements showed better repeatability than PFV at both near and distance. Mean differences recorded for the NFV break and recovery points were non-significant (under 0.5D), while those observed for PFV were generally greater than 2D. When agreement between the two tests was assessed, it was found that break points were higher when determined using the phoropter rotary prisms, while recovery points were generally higher for the prism bar method. In clinical terms, according to the expected values of the NFV and PFV, agreement between the two techniques can be described as fair, because although mean differences were never greater than 5.5D, 95% agreement intervals were as wide as ±8.00D for NFV and ±13.19D for PFV. Conclusions: The two methods used to measure fusional vergences showed fairly good inter- session repeatability for measuring NFV but repeatability was reduced for PFV measurements. To determine the interexaminer and intraexaminer repeatability of the modified Thorington test (TH) for distance vision in young adults and to compare these results with those observed for the heterophoria tests most commonly used in clinical practice. Agreement among tests was also assessed. Methods. Distance heterophoria was quantified on two separate occasions by two examiners in 110 subjects aged 18 to 32 years (mean, 19.74 years; SD, 2.5 years) using four different tests: cover test (CT) Von Graefe, Maddox rod, and modified TH. The repeatability of the tests and agreement between them was estimated by the Bland and Altman method whereby the mean difference and the 95% limits of agreement were determined as the coefficient of repeatability (COR) and coefficient of agreement. Results. The Thorington test showed best interexaminer repeatability (COR = +/- 1.43 Delta), followed closely by CT (COR = +/- 1.65 Delta), whereas best intraexaminer repeatability was observed for CT (COR = +/- 1.28 Delta) followed by TH (COR = +/- 1.51 Delta). Among the different combinations of tests, TH and CT showed best agreement indicated by the lowest coefficient of agreement (+/- 2.23 Delta) and a low mean difference (-0.63 Delta) between measurements. Conclusions. Good interexaminer and intraexaminer repeatability was observed for both TH and CT, and agreement between the two tests was also good. The objective of the study was to determine if there is a significant correlation between soft skills and academic performance. For this reason, the research was carried out in higher education. The type of research is applied, with the level of research being descriptive and correlational. The research was transversal; since the survey was carried out only once using the questionnaire and notes technique. The sample is simple random, 52 students from the first and second cycles enrolled in the 2023-1 semester, who constitute the study. It was shown that the use of soft skills and academic performance in students predominates at the middle level, that is, represented by 61.54% (32). Therefore, it is necessary for teachers to apply soft skills in their classes. The average of respondents regarding the use of soft skills is favorable. It was determined that more than 50% of the respondents are older than 3,06128, that is, they have a favorable possession. On average, subjects have a rank of 3.5000 (favorable). Furthermore, the average deviation was 1.06128. The minimum score was 1 and the maximum was 5. Therefore, the Use of soft skills benefits the student. It is concluded that there is an adequate significant relationship between the use of soft skills and the academic performance of university students, due to a moderate correlation of 0.819., El estudio tuvo como objetivo determinar si existe correlación significativa entre Habilidades blandas y rendimiento académico. Por este motivo, se realizó la investigación en la educación superior. El tipo de investigación es aplicada, siendo el nivel de investigación descriptiva y correlacional. La investigación fue transversal; puesto que se realizó una sola vez la encuesta mediante la técnica del cuestionario y notas. La muestra es aleatoria simple 52 estudiantes del primer y segundo ciclos matriculados en el semestre 2023-1, que constituyen el estudio. Se demostró que uso de habilidades blandas y el rendimiento académico en los estudiantes predomina en el nivel medio, es decir, representado por el 61,54% (32). Por lo tanto, es necesario que los docentes apliquen en sus clases las habilidades blandas. El promedio de encuestados con respecto al uso de las habilidades blandas es favorable. Se determinó que más del 50% de los encuestados son mayores de 3, 06128, o sea, tienen una posesión favorable. En promedio los sujetos tienen un rango de 3,5000 (favorable). Además, la desviacion promedio fue 1, 06128. La puntuación mínima fue de 1 y el máximo de 5. Por lo tanto, el Uso de las habilidades blandas beneficia al estudiante. Se concluye que, sí existe una adecuada relación significativa entre el uso habilidades blandas y el rendimiento académico de los universitarios, debido a una correlación moderada de 0, 819.

The present study is an approach to the first 16th century poetry chapbook written around a terrific theme. It would be, therefore, the first so-called «dreadful and appalling event» printed in poetry. We can see that it is an ancient sample for its formal outline and its content, and it is presented as a mixture of oral and written poetry of the early 16th century. Furthermore, the reported events must had happened. Thus we are faced with one of the firsthand news on a horrific subject that was disseminated orally and written at the dawn of the second half of the 16th century., En el presente trabajo se aborda el primer pliego suelto poético del siglo xvi que conservamos de temática tremendista. Sería, por tanto, el primer “caso horrible y espantoso” impreso en verso. Por sus rasgos formales y de contenido se observa que es un espécimen primitivo que, a principios del siglo xvi, se muestra a medio camino entre la oralidad y la escritura. Además, hemos conseguido averiguar que los hechos que allí se narran ocurrieron realmente, por lo que nos encontramos ante una de las primeras noticias de tema truculento que debió correr de manera oral, pero también impresa en los albores del Quinientos.

El origen de los cuentos populares y las fábulas es remotísimo. Ya desde Mesopotamia, la India o la Antigua Grecia las colecciones de este tipo de relatos empezaron a transmitirse oralmente y por escrito. Comenzó así su difusión a través del mundo conocido, en diferentes lenguas y formas, en prosa y en verso. En este trabajo nos ocuparemos de la conocida fábula de La gallina de los huevos de oro desde la antigüedad greco latina hasta la prensa sefardí de finales del siglo XIX en Turquía, pasando por la tradición francesa (siglo XVII) y la española (siglo XVIII)., The origin of folktales and fables is ancient. As early as Mesopotamia, India and Ancient Greece, collections of such tales began to be transmitted orally and in writing. Thus began their dissemination throughout the known world, in different languages and forms, in prose and verse. In this paper we will deal with the well-known fable of The Goose that Laid the Golden Eggs from Greek-Latin antiquity to the Sephardic press of the late 19th century in Turkey, passing through the French (17th century) and the Spanish (18th century) traditions.

This study analyzes the influence of English medium instruction (EMI) on student English writing development in a Spanish undergraduate context, a language skill that remains underexplored in EMI research at tertiary level. Through a longitudinal pre- and post-test method, it explores the writing progress of EMI engineering students as compared to the achievement of a group of English as a foreign language (EFL) learners, according to different quantitative and qualitative writing measures. Results show a positive impact of EMI on student writing development at the levels of lexical accuracy and vocabulary. However, other writing areas, such as syntax, grammar, organization, or fluency, appeared unaffected. These findings challenge, to some extent, the widespread assumption that EMI contributes to improving student English language proficiency. This study suggests that sole exposure to the language in EMI contexts does not suffice to improve students’ English writing abilities beyond the area of vocabulary. Therefore, it argues for the inclusion of language skill support within EMI programs to provide students with opportunities to achieve a comprehensive development of their English language and writing competence.

The objective of the study was to determine if there is a significant correlation between the use of ICT tools and academic performance. For this reason, research on the use of ICT tools to improve academic performance in higher education was carried out. The type of research is applied, being the level of descriptive and correlational research. The research was cross-sectional; since the survey was carried out only once using the technique of the questionnaire and notes. The sample is simple random 57 students enrolled in the 2023 semester, which constitute the study. It is shown that of the total number of respondents, the medium level predominates, that is, represented by 34.0% (59.65) perceives that the use of ICT tools occupies, 22.81% (13) at the high level. The average of those surveyed towards the application of the use of ICT tools is favorable. Being the most repeated value 3 (favorable). More than 50% of those surveyed are above 2.9474, that is, they have a favorable attitude. On average the subjects are located at 3.0000 (favorable). Likewise, 1.27365 scale units deviate from the average. A minimum score of 1 and a maximum of 5 was observed. Finally, it is concluded that there is an adequate significant relationship between the use of ICT and the academic performance of university students, due to a moderate correlation of 0.785., El estudio tuvo como objetivo determinar si existe correlación significativa entre Uso de herramientas TIC y rendimiento académico. Por este motivo, se realizó la investigación sobre Uso de herramientas TIC para mejorar el rendimiento académico en la educación superior. El tipo de investigación es aplicada, siendo el nivel de investigación descriptiva y correlacional. La investigación fue transversal; puesto que se realizó una sola vez la encuesta mediante la técnica del cuestionario y notas. La muestra es aleatoria simple, 57 estudiantes matriculados en el semestre 2023, que constituyen el estudio. Se demuestra que del total de los encuestados predomina el nivel el medio, es decir, representada por el 34,0% (59,65) percibe que uso de las herramientas TIC ocupa, el 22,81% (13) en el nivel alto.  El promedio de los encuestados hacia la aplicación uso de herramientas TIC es favorable. Siendo el valor que más se repite 3 (favorable). Más del 50% de los encuestados están por encima de 2,9474, es decir, tienen una actitud favorable. En promedio los sujetos se ubican en 3,0000 (favorable). Asimismo, se desvían con respecto al promedio 1,27365 unidades de la escala. Se observó un puntaje mínimo alcanzado de 1 y el máximo de 5. Por último, se concluye que sí existe una adecuada relación significativa entre el uso de TIC y el rendimiento académico de los universitarios, debido a una correlación moderada de 0,785.
